Well from day one these guys had it all together! We moved my Mom from Pawleys Island SC to Va Beach VA during the Coastal Blizzard first week of January 2018. Honestly in the Worst weather Pawleys had seen in over 20 years these fellas still showed up with smiles on their faces and professional moving that was simply amazing!
Granted it was 7PM before these poor guys could get to us bc of snow! Peter (coordinator via text/phone) NEVER dropped the ball once when I had questions, bc we were worried about the weather and if Moms furniture would/COULD be delivered bc we were heading INTO the storm!
Well needless to say everything was perfect! Roberto and his crew were outstanding in every respect and I cannot thank you all enough for transforming a very scary (in so many aspects) upheaval to a smooth and "one less thing we had to worry about" transition. Paperwork was straightforward from the beginning..NO SURPRISES! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NCM FOR ANY MOVE IN YOUR FUTURE! It was a true pleasure!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2900

As with the pickup at my home in Potomac, the crew (this time 2 instead of 3) worked well together and performed professionally.
They obviously knew what they were doing and how to do it efficiently. Nothing was scratched, dented or otherwise damaged. They had to work at the front porch in very cold temperatures. Because the house was at the end of a long driveway with not enough room to turn around, they had to back their truck all the way back to the roadway in the dark. Fortunately their truck had sufficient illumination backing up. The only quibble was that some boxes marked "this side up" were not. All in all, they deserve the 5-star rating. Also there was not issue on cost, since they guaranteed a fixed amount and honored their commitment.

This was the first time I ever used a company to move and next time I will definitely be giving Nation Capital a call. Before the move, they were excellent at communicating and answered all of my questions with kindness and patience. During the move they were punctual and courteous and, perhaps most importantly, handled all of our stuff with extreme care. They wrapped all furniture before moving it--even stuff that I didn't think was necessary--and packed up all of our loose lamps, etc. in boxes (something I hadn't even thought of doing). They were also extremely attentive and careful with where we wanted things to go in our new place. 5/5 stars - highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Nation Capital Moving in our recent cross country move. From the first conversation with Justin, we knew this would be our moving company. Our questions were patiently answered. Pricing and expectations are clear with no hidden or 'gotcha' charges that so many people seem to have horror stories about with other companies.

We opted for a full service move. The packers called first thing in the morning on moving day and even arrived early. They made quick work of boxing up our life. They did not skimp on materials. Our fragile items were wrapped with care. Before the truck left, the paperwork was explained in detail and we were able to see the truck and agree on the space used.

Our items were delivered on the first day of our quoted window. The gentlemen that performed the delivery were professional and courteous. They put items in the rooms directed and had no issue re-building furniture that was torn down for the move.

Overall we are very pleased with the service provided by Nation Capital Moving. They were a load off our mind during a stressful phase of life. I'd gladly recommend them to anyone else looking to do a move, local or long distance.
