Cant say enough good things- they gave me the best quote when I originally reached out (several other companies quoted me nearly twice as much) and they were exactly on the mark with the time and cost it actually took. They told me they would be there between 12:30 and 2 - at 12:15 they called to say they were running slightly behind and would be there at 1 (which was well within the time frame they gave me). They then called back to say they'd be there by 12:45. The communication was just phenomenal. They were efficient and careful, but also took the time to engage in friendly chatter with us, which I loved. Peter and team were just all around a great crew and I would hire them again in an instant (though hope I don't have to moving stinks!)

These guys are amazing. They got me scheduled for a next-day appointment in under 20 minutes. It should've been a simple couch move, but whoever designed my place loves ridiculous geometry and hates people so it was impossible to even get the thing in through the door. The guys strapped it up and lifted it up to the balcony, then carried it into the living room from there. Pretty sure it took them less than 45 minutes. Extremely fair pricing, really excellent work, awesome people!

Nation Capital moved our furniture from Wilmington De to Florida on November 2, 2020. The communication was impeccable always kept us informed about times and dates for both pickup and delivery. The movers worked very hard and were curtious and professional. We opened the box for our large flat screen TV and the entire bottom portion was smashed. We contacted Peter to inform of damage and eventually we got a response and resolution so we thought?? He sent a picture of a supposed check that was being sent for sum of 200.00 . 3 weeks go by no check. 2 days ago he states that he has sent 2 checks? None have arrived!!!! Now he says he has put the 200.00 in my Zelle account and still no refund! This company cannot be trusted please be ware of this Scam!

Fantastic movers. Highly organized, efficient, careful around valuable items, and totally fairly priced. We did a move from a 2 bedroom apartment into a house, and hired them for handling packing as well as moving. They did a great job organizing and labeling boxes, were super careful around our OLED TV and other items. Rave reviews across the board. The moving team was excellent -- the leader, was friendly, a great communicator, and super organized. Movers were also great and motivated workers.

We are a small business that needed some moving and labor for an office setting. They showed up on time and were incredibly easy to work with. They responded right away to help us schedule and even moved some things out of the way to make sure we could make our last minute request. They went above and beyond and were very patient when our delivery truck was late and there was some down time. They carried and cared for our gear very carefully. They brought extra gear and did some take apart tasks on some very secure crates. Very easy to communicate with. 11/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone with moving needs.

He and his partner were exceptional from start to finish. The communication was excellent from the get go. They asked for a $100 deposit to hold my day and I'm sure glad I locked them in for the job. Once on the job, it was a pleasure to be around them. They were both so cheerful, upbeat, extremely capable. They had to move a huge and very heavy pottery barn queen sized bed into my townhouse, up some steep stairs, and they navigated this hard as heck furniture move incredibly well. It's difficult to move, so having a team that brings joy and competence to the process makes all the difference. They also set up all the furniture for me. Don't hesitate to hire them. I certainly will if I ever move again.

They drove all the way and helped my friend & I move my belongings out of a two story apartment. My stairs in the unit are what I would consider very old, steep, & dangerous. Not only were they early & ready, but they assisted & did an amazing job. Without them the job itself would have been so much harder & stressful. Instead it turned out to be the opposite. I would highly suggest Nation Capital Movers to anyone who may need the extra help. Thank you guys. 10/10.

Peter was incredibly helpful, efficient, and friendly throughout the entire process. He offered helpful advice about whether or not to take apart certain furniture to save time, and if they weren’t taken apart he wrapped them very securely with padding he provided. I was very worried about movers taking long on purpose to get more hours, but it was clear that they had no intention of taking any longer than necessary. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

These guys were AMAZING!! I requested a quote and he responded immediately with the info. Very responsive with every question/inquiry I had. Pricing was excellent and cheaper than other places I was checking. He kept in touch by providing emails on the upcoming move date. I received texts when movers were on the way. Once they arrive we reviewed the contract and I signed. The movers were well equipped and prepared to move my items. I only had a bedroom and some items I the garage. They were very efficient and true professionals. They took apart the bed, removed the mirror from dresser and they wrapped and secured ALL items. Took about an hour and we moved to the new place where they were more efficient in moving items by using a hand truck with a box to hold more items. They put the bed back together. Moved the items into my new place. This moved very quickly and they were done in about an hour. All in all it took them 2 hours. Worth every dollar - which was a reasonable rate. I wholeheartedly recommend this company. I will use in the future!

What a great moving company. They literally showed up less than an hour after I called to give me a firm quote. They showed up at the agreed time and the three immediately began wrapping all my furniture in protective pads and plastic. My move was not an easy move because it involved steep stairs and it was raining all day. What really surprised me was that they put all my adjustable shelves in my huge bookcase right back were they were originally!!!! They moved things a few times in my family room and master bedroom to make things perfect.

The icing on the cake was when I was making up one of the beds one of the guys even helped me with that!!' Great customer service. I don't know where they got such a great crew!!'

This company was incredibly helpful and efficient. I had to call them last minute on New Year’s Eve after another moving company was unable to complete the job. They stepped in and handled my move from a one-bedroom apartment into storage without any issues. The team came fully prepared with their own materials, which made the process smooth and stress-free. I had two movers, and they worked quickly, honestly, I can only imagine how much faster it would’ve been if I had hired them from the start and added one or two more people. I will definitely be using them again. Worth every penny.

Every thing about this move was excellent, from the initial contact to the end of the move. I found the virtual meeting with Peter to be just as accurate as several in-person meetings with other moving companies, and yielded a fast, detailed and very reasonable estimate. When I added items after that, to go to a second location, he came back with a thoughtful revision to give me the best possible savings of both time and expense. The moving day crew arrived on time (actually a tiny bit early), and every single man was cheerful, professional, and efficient. They worked as a cohesive team so that everything was packed carefully and moved out much faster than I expected. Moving in at the other end was just as smooth. As important, not one thing was damaged or missing. Also important is that the final invoice had no unexpected add-ons and the only surprise was that it was less than I thought it would be. Let's face it. Moving is always stressful, so knowing it's being handled by a company you can trust goes a long way toward making it a great experience. And I had a great experience! I'd use Nation Capital Movers again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to several people.

I had three large pods delivered from TX to a house I purchased. The movers in TX stacked the pods pretty tightly. Nation Capital Moving asked lots of insightful questions and then diligently worked to move the items. I figured it would take all day, but these guys worked four hours and got every last item out of the pods. The house has four levels, but the stairs were no match for the movers. Plus, I have some very heavy tools, like a table saw, band saw, and jointer. The movers handled these items with care and placed them exactly where I wanted them (third garage bay). At the end, the lead movers asked if any items needed to be reshuffled, and there were some that we wanted moved a second time. They were a great value so I generously tipped!

I hired them to move my furniture from my 1 bedroom apartment from uptown to my new residence. The movers were courteous and professional and since I work crazy hours, I needed them to pack my items for me, as I was moving at the end of the month. I had previously contacted several moving companies but they all could not accommodate the time frame I needed my move completed in. They made every effort to ensure I would have no problems. They handled everything and their pricing was very fair. I would recommend them to anyone who is planning to move. I will be moving again once my lease is up and I plan on using Nation Capital Movers again. I also have recommended them to a few of my friends and family. Thank you for making everything so much easier. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for such wonderful service.

We used national capital movers for our move from Cincinnati to Washington DC and it was a great experience. Very flexible in accommodating our schedule and good price. We had a couple of bulky and heavy items but they managed to move absolutely everything. It was almost a miracle. Petar managed pick up and delivery and was just outstanding. So hard working and dedicated. Plinton helped with the delivery and I forgot the name of the other mover at pick up but all very good as well. We would definitely hire them again for our next move.
