Well from day one these guys had it all together! We moved my Mom from Pawleys Island SC to Va Beach VA during the Coastal Blizzard first week of January 2018. Honestly in the Worst weather Pawleys had seen in over 20 years these fellas still showed up with smiles on their faces and professional moving that was simply amazing!
Granted it was 7PM before these poor guys could get to us bc of snow! Peter (coordinator via text/phone) NEVER dropped the ball once when I had questions, bc we were worried about the weather and if Moms furniture would/COULD be delivered bc we were heading INTO the storm!
Well needless to say everything was perfect! Roberto and his crew were outstanding in every respect and I cannot thank you all enough for transforming a very scary (in so many aspects) upheaval to a smooth and "one less thing we had to worry about" transition. Paperwork was straightforward from the beginning..NO SURPRISES! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NCM FOR ANY MOVE IN YOUR FUTURE! It was a true pleasure!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2900

As with the pickup at my home in Potomac, the crew (this time 2 instead of 3) worked well together and performed professionally.
They obviously knew what they were doing and how to do it efficiently. Nothing was scratched, dented or otherwise damaged. They had to work at the front porch in very cold temperatures. Because the house was at the end of a long driveway with not enough room to turn around, they had to back their truck all the way back to the roadway in the dark. Fortunately their truck had sufficient illumination backing up. The only quibble was that some boxes marked "this side up" were not. All in all, they deserve the 5-star rating. Also there was not issue on cost, since they guaranteed a fixed amount and honored their commitment.

There are so many good things to say about National Capital Moving, but the main thing that I would say is that they take the stress out of moving! You don't have to worry about price because you can get an in-home estimate so you'll know exactly what to expect. You don't have to worry if they will be there because they will on time or early. You don't have worry about your stuff because they will protect it and treat your stuff like their own. The moving crew is Awesome and they move your stuff fast! Moving is stressful, but having National Capital takes a lot of stress out of the process because they have awesome customer service. You won't be disappointed.

I could go on and on about Nation Capital Movers. Great moving company with fair, affordable rates! From the very first phone contact with Justin, to the in-home estimate with Peter and all the way through the completion of our move, this company was the epitome of professionalism. Even in pouring down rain, they moved our household goods and storage space items without an issue. In fact, they went above and beyond to accomodate our specific needs. It was a great overall experience and I definitely recommend this company!

This was the first time I ever used a company to move and next time I will definitely be giving Nation Capital a call. Before the move, they were excellent at communicating and answered all of my questions with kindness and patience. During the move they were punctual and courteous and, perhaps most importantly, handled all of our stuff with extreme care. They wrapped all furniture before moving it--even stuff that I didn't think was necessary--and packed up all of our loose lamps, etc. in boxes (something I hadn't even thought of doing). They were also extremely attentive and careful with where we wanted things to go in our new place. 5/5 stars - highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Nation Capital Moving in our recent cross country move. From the first conversation with Justin, we knew this would be our moving company. Our questions were patiently answered. Pricing and expectations are clear with no hidden or 'gotcha' charges that so many people seem to have horror stories about with other companies.

We opted for a full service move. The packers called first thing in the morning on moving day and even arrived early. They made quick work of boxing up our life. They did not skimp on materials. Our fragile items were wrapped with care. Before the truck left, the paperwork was explained in detail and we were able to see the truck and agree on the space used.

Our items were delivered on the first day of our quoted window. The gentlemen that performed the delivery were professional and courteous. They put items in the rooms directed and had no issue re-building furniture that was torn down for the move.

Overall we are very pleased with the service provided by Nation Capital Moving. They were a load off our mind during a stressful phase of life. I'd gladly recommend them to anyone else looking to do a move, local or long distance.

I hired Nation Capital Movers for a move across the country from the east coast to the west coast. The packers did a fantastic job wrapping and protecting every piece of furniture with the utmost care. When I provided a date that I could receive my belongings, Nation Capital provided me with an estimated arrival date with a 3 week window. As it turned out, my household was delivered in just under 2 weeks. The driver arrived with a helper and unloaded all my furniture, carefully unwrapping each piece with care. I was impressed with the kind disposition of the driver and his helper - after having driven nearly 3,000 miles to be so pleasant. All pieces arrived in perfect condition and nothing was lost.

This is my second move with Nation Capital Movers! The service I received for both moves was top notch. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. They provided me with a great package that helped me do a quick and easy move. From the management to the leaders, everyone was polite and friendly. Nothing but smiles and thank you's! It really helps as moving is a very stressful event. They are great and I would use them for my next move! Check them out because service is everything and they provide everything!

Highly recommend. We had a pretty significant and complicated in-state move. We were downsizing from a 5400+ sq ft house with a barn to a 1800 sq ft house with modest garage. So the move involved an interim stop at a storage facility along the way. The whole National Capital Movers staff was very responsive, professional and did a quality job. The estimate was great. The office staff was quick to respond. They offered free boxes for us to use. The crews were prompt, polite, very careful and hard working. Great job. Jonathan, Petar and Roberto were all excellent to work with.

WARNING!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! Thieves. These people are total thieves. They arrived late with a rented 32 ft truck to move an entire household. I arranged our move through Budget, who are basically their pimps in the moving business. I asked on three separate occasions if this would be a tractor trailer rental and was guaranteed. As stated, they showed up late with a 32'rental truck and 4 men to pack and move a 3400 sq ft home. Upon arrival they told us they had underestimated and the price would be double and it wouldn't all fit on their truck. While on the phone with the owner, they LEFT! The owner assured us that a new crew with a larger truck would arrive at 8am the next morning. They did not. They arrived at 8pm with two movers and the same size truck.

We were supposed to have been completely out of our home by 2 pm that day. This debacle ran into the next day and almost cost us the sale of our home because we were not out in time for the closing. They packed what they could in the small rented truck, assured us that our goods would remain on this truck until delivery and left the remainder of our belongings setting on our lawn. We had to store goods at the homes of several people and storage sheds at our cost.

When they arrived for delivery, it was a different truck and the majority of our boxes, that we had packed were broken into, crushed, gone through and retaped. Our furniture and appliances were completely ruined. To date about 30,000.00, yes, thirty thousand dollars, in goods were stolen or damaged. They stole everything from kitchen appliances, to jewelry, to cowboy boots. TOTAL LIARS AND THEIVES. Their is no recourse for your losses. They claim to offer insurance under a "recognizable name" but it is an illusion, a shell game.

Nation Capital is the absolute best!!!The movers were polite, and listened to my concerns on my pieces. Without hesitation, all my items were wrapped, and

boxed with the greatest of care. All items made it up a third floor walk up without scratches - these guys were impressive! Wonderful customer service, with texts/calls before, and during the move to make sure I was satisfied, and to keep me up to date. Completely stress free! Would highly recommend Nation Capital for your next move!!
