Moving Staffers

They packed our FRAGILE CHINA under boxes of HEAVY Books! I did not see it until it was unpacked. When I offer ropes to secure load, they refused, they kept saying, don't worry, it's secure. Well thru transit all the heavy boxes fell on the china and everything else. What a mess!
Plus, they packed the truck 90% within 2 hrs and pissed away 2 more hours doing I do not know.
Of course, no one is responsible for damage during transit.
NEVER AGAIN!!

I had an awful experience with Moving Staffers. They don't search for the best value when looking for movers. They actually booked me with a very expensive and lowly rated company. I wish I would have just done it myself. Second, when I called (several times) for help, your staff member Justin talked to me in such a disrespectful, unprofessional, berating way. He also refused to help me on multiple occasions until I went around or above him and he was forced to help. He also refused to transfer me over to a manager when I asked to speak with one, repeatedly saying "you'll get the same answer with them." This guy was the worst. Such poor customer service and relational skills. He also said that one mover was $50 an hour. Then when I was offered a refund by the company, he only gave me less than half of what it should have been. At $50 an hour, the refund should have been $320 but he gave me $180 and said that was the full amount, which was very far from the truth.

As for the moving company they paired me with, they forgot to book me, they over charged me. They were 6 hours late to move my stuff. Two of the staff got drunk/high on the job. They didn't take care of their employees and allow them to have a lunch before going to the second moving job. It was awful.

We recently moved from California to Colorado. We had two trailers full of our belongings. Apparently they were packed incorrectly in both trailers. We had antique furniture that was broken and these pieces cannot be replaced and as far as I know, repaired. Boxes marked 'fragile' were crushed. Dishes were broken, a piece of art from Italy was broken in about 20 pieces. We purchased over a hundred blankets and 12 boxes of bubble wrap. We wrapped everything individually and put pillows around some of the fragile items. They took a break and hinted for me to make them something to eat. I made them all peanut butter sandwiches. I supplied them with water all day. Something is wrong with this picture!! I really liked all of the crew except one who had an attitude. They also told me the second crew would be there at noon to pack us up in the second trailer and they didn't show until 6:30 p.m. We had to catch a flight and so had a neighbor supervise. NEVER AGAIN.

On a 1 to 10 scale Moving Staffers deserves a 2 and Im being generous, D- more appropriate. They arrived early(20 min) and worked steady but any attempt at common sense,well packed,well organized, well prepared loading was non existent! We found Waterford Crystal at the Bottom of the load, an Air Compressor on top of Framed Art, A Mitre Box Saw on upholstered Furniture.we provided 54 moving blankets, less then 25 were used to protect our furniture, 200 feet of 1/4 inch rope to secure blankets, Boxes etc but only 30 feet was used.Expensive Modern Desk Damaged, Air Compressor Damaged, file cabinet,lamp shades,end table all damaged. Only our excessive,xtra effort packing saved our things.

Moving Staffers contract is written to ensure, as far as possible, that neither they nor their contractors can be held accountable for their terrible work. They assert that they are not responsible for anything once their staff leave site, however that is not the purpose of packing for a move - your possessions are going to be moved, and they need to be packed accordingly. Good luck with that.

ONLY use moving staffers if the items they are packing are totally indestructible, or if a total loss is of no importance to you.

The service I received was performed with such extreme negligence that far in excess of $10,000 worth of damage was caused.

Their service is not fit for purpose.

I saw the overall reviews, somewhat late :) We enlisted Moving Staffers on the receiving end of our move from San Jose Ca to Boise Idaho, with Caseboise as the unloaders/movers, and were TOTALLY delighted with their service. Awesome. They were professional, efficient and polite. And, they took away all out packing trash :) We signed up with them when we initially booked with Upack,

However, we did not hire help on the SJ end initially, and by the time we realized we needed help, Moving Staffers did not have any availability. So, we found another firm, HireAHelper, and they provided a great list of moving companies, and we were again, really happy with our choice of MovingZoom in San Jose.

Nothing was damaged, or even moved in transit.

Here are some suggestions if you are going to hire loading help: purchase high quality packing blankets, ratchet tie downs, and packing plastic wrap. If you expect to load your boxes into a pod and load onto a flat bed without any damage, you are the one that is responsible to pack AND label the boxes appropriately. We labeled some of ours as "Top Load" and they did so.

I would use again our formula of Upack, Moving Helpers, and HireAHelper. My husband said it was flawless :)

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $300

In October I moved from AR to two different locations. Two cubes went into storage and one went into a truck to my 92 year old father's home in NJ. The truck arrived on time in NJ and the moving company that was scheduled to help unload was alarmed at what they saw. The boxes were not loaded properly and many were broken and the sending movers even packed heavy filing cabinets on top of other lighter boxes and damaged both. There were other heavy items that caused damage. They took pictures and had already sent them to MovingStaffers prior to my call. When I spoke to the company they said there was no insurance for damage that occurred during transit EVEN if it was the moving company that improperly packed the merchandise. They said they were sorry but nothing could be done. Damage to the items sent to NJ was greater than what I paid for the service. I am concerned in what will happen to my other cubes as I have not unpacked them yet. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE USING THIS SERVICE TO WATCH HOW THINGS ARE PACKED CLOSELY AS YOU WILL HAVE NO COVERAGE FOR THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORKMANSHIP AND WORK. I HIRED PROFESSIONALS AND PAID PROFESSIONAL WAGES AND IT DID NOT WORK FOR ME. I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET YOUR OWN LOCAL MOVERS (EVEN THOUGH MORE EFFORT AND WORK) SO YOU WILL HAVE COVERAGE FOR THEIR WORK!!
