Insurance Claim.

I had whole house damage from a leak in one of our bathrooms that caused us to move our furniture into a POD. The Pod was loaded as though it was going to travel 3000 miles! I couldn't believe the level of care. It was awesome. I was so impress with the young men that loaded it, I requested the same team to unload.

This is a very professional company--I highly recommend them! I am so glad I chose them and would do it all over again! Kudos to Abdul, Aaro and Timothy! Great Job! Well done!

Highly Recommended.

I have used Moving Staffers 4 times in the past year--2 loads and 2 unloads. Everyone I dealt with was professional and helpful. Reservation agents did all they could to secure the right moving company for the date I chose. The actual movers were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They expertly packed the container to avoid load-shifting and to save space on my pay-by-the-foot ABF transportation company (I highly recommend ABF as well). Nothing was broken on either move. Finally, the billing department answered questions and properly billed me (the final bill was far less than the estimate). My final price was under $1500 for one move (load and unload). Load took 3 hrs and unload took 4 hrs (they put together beds, helped me hang large, heavy mirror, and were patient as I changed placement of large curio. I did all packing with U-Haul boxes and supplies. They are the least expensive I found and have free delivery. Using Moving Staffers saved my back from pain and was well worth the investment. Make sure you have snacks, drinks, and offer tips to the load and unload crews!

Packing and loading.

I am writing this letter to express my COMPLETE DISSATISFACTION with the people hired by Moving Staffers for packing our things and then loading them into the PODS. These were NOT experienced movers. Of course you don’t realize how poor the job was until you unpack the PODS and the boxes. I am attaching some pictures of the results of a very poor job. There were MANY boxes half full and therefore collapsed when something was put on top when the pods were packed. Tables obviously not protected, tops scratched, antiques not protected properly. The “crew” did not show up until between 12:00 noon and 1:30 each day. One day a couple of them left to go get some supplies and did not return for 3 hours. Why didn’t they have enough supplies? This was a VERY POOR job not worth the $3,000+ I paid. After I get the furniture repaired that can be repaired, I expect I will be out another $1,500 to $2,500 after I get some of the things repaired. And to top it off, there are some things that cannot be repaired… broken crystal, broken antique chair legs, and damaged to furniture finishes.

I feel that some sort restitution should be made. This took too long and cost too much for the service level delivered.

Efficient and Quick.

The two gentleman who loaded our truck were efficient and knew exactly how to load the truck safely and efficiently. The only issue I had was that they weren't too careful with the walls of the condo. A lot of knicks, dents and scratches were caused when moving the furniture down the upstairs hallway and at the bottom of the stairs. I had to take the time to putty these areas and repaint before we had our final walk through to ensure we received our full refund. … …Other than that though, the job was done extremely well and the men were great!

This move was a total nightmare from start to finish.

If I could give a minus star that is what I think of this company and every employee that I had to deal with from the so called movers to customer service. We were assured that we would have experienced movers and one of the guys told me he just started with the company the day before, had no training and no experience, that was after he dropped and destroyed a very expensive piece of furniture. The movers showed up with no equipment, not even gloves. We gave them gloves and they used my husband's dolly. We should have sent them away right from the start but we were desperate as we had sold our house and had to get our PODs loaded. The movers were moving furniture from our home into PODs that were in our driveway. 2 guys showed up and were expecting 2 others to help. By the time the last 2 guys finally showed up the first 2 guys were so mad that they started screaming and using very bad language with each other. We finally had to ask them all to get off our property after they started pushing each other. The last to guys that showed up late also drove their car in our lawn. When I tried to get payment for the damages I was offered $90 for a $2000 piece of furniture. I had photos and witnesses, my next door neighbors who heard the crash when the movers dropped the furniture on the sidewalk. Our neighbors and sons-in-law had to finish the job, along with my husband who has had 3 back surgeries. We have moved several times but this move was the only one that was a total nightmare from start to finish.

TERRIBLE! Don't use.

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE! Not only did they over charge and charge my card more than once without permission, they damaged my bed and didn't take any responsibility for it. They broke and intricate piece that cost $100 dollars to replace! They were also late to the job and unorganized. When I complained about all of this they did absolutely NOTHING to resolve my issues. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Warning everyone I know about them!!

Horrible service, late to appointment, dishonest business practices.

This review is for MOVING STAFFERS, the company Upack recommends to help with loading/unloading their truck. Overall ABF/Upack has provided EXCELLENT SERVICE, they should just be aware that they are recommending an AWFUL moving service and it is putting their reputation at risk! We were on a short time frame and the crew showed up to our home nearly 2 hours after they were promised (1.5 hours after their given 4 hour window of time), we called MULTIPLE times to confirm the time in the morning and also to check to on the arrival of the crew. We were never given notice the movers would be getting to our home late, and when we tried to find out why they were over an hour late we were treated very poorly.  Because we needed to unpack the ABF truck the same day, we ended up doing the majority of the moving ourselves, when the movers finally arrived the crew only provided 1 hour of service, however we were charged the full amount of time! We were not given a work order to sign at the completion of the job, they told us the manager of Moving Staffers would be coming by our home to personally discuss the complaints we had and to adjust the price, we waited an additional 5 HOURS and he NEVER SHOWED UP.  This was a horrible experience, and I highly recommend using another moving service if you choose U-pack.

Do not use.

  After discussing with Moving Staffers our request for a Sunday MORNING unload I received an email (on 8/5) confirming that City Wide was contracted for Sunday 8/9 and was told City Wide would confirm with me exact arrival time.  I never heard from City Wide and began to call them several times on Friday, 8/7 and Saturday 8/8, leaving messages for Franco with name, address, phone time request etc.  It was not until Sunday at 9:40am I was able to reach Franco who informed me he had us scheduled to arrive between 12-2.  Again, this was NEVER CONFIRMED.  NEVER RECIEVED A CALL.  I asked Franco if he could arrive earlier, by 11am as this was our only day off to get this done. I also tried calling Moving Staffers when I could not reach City Wide.  No one was there on the weekend.   At 12:15 Franco called and asked if our address was on Pine Street in Los Angeles.  Wrong Franco.  I had left our info repeatedly  in earlier calls and told him I was very unhappy with how this was all being handled.  He told me he had sent his team to the wrong address and would recall them to send them to us, promising to arrive within the hour (by 1:15).  They arrived at 2:15 and since we decided to begin unloading ourselves (not what we wanted to do this but having lost all confidence in Moving Staffers and City Wide we decided to start)much of the work was done.  The 3 guys that arrived were good.  No complaints with them.  But the job took them 2 hours and we were charged for the 3 hour minimum that Moving Staffers/City Wide required.    I called Chelsea at Moving Staffers on Monday morning to complain and request adjustment to our bill to 2 hours given the poor service from the company (since it is Moving Staffers responsibility to contract and they are ultimately providing the service).  Chelsea was to call me right back on what she could do and it wasn't until I called back, once again, in the afternoon that she told me I would still be invoiced for the 3 hours vs. 2 and there was nothing she could do.  I let her know I planned to provide very poor reviews for both companies but there was not any concern expressed on the companies part.   Bottom line, schedule local loaders/unloaders directly as Moving Staffers provided no value to our move and I would have been better off picking up random help off the street for much less money.  .

Cancellation Fee.

When we had a prequalified offer on our home in Ohio, we began to make all the appropriate phone calls to check on moving companies and dates and all the necessary things one has to do to facilitate an out of state move.  Upon contact with U-Pack I was advised to reserve a move date because of the time of year and that I needed to contact Moving Staffers to load our stuff onto the moving truck.  They informed me that this company does all their packing and loading and U-Pack only drives and at the other end, Moving Staffers also unloads.  I did as asked and contacted Moving Staffers to be certain the dates would correspond and they gave me a bid just as U-Pack did.  I had a very pleasant and helpful discussion with Ann Williams in sales and I liked very much what she told me about the company and what all they offered.  She also encouraged me to reserve the date and emailed me the details of what we had discussed.  I worked very hard to get her the information necessary to make the bid as accurate as possible so the price would be correct and there would be no surprises.  I contacted her later on in the month of August and updated her with more information and asked about some other things that we had not discussed at the first conversation.  I just called U-Pack and had to cancel due to a significant delay in our closing and then had to call Moving Staffers to do the same only to find out that I had to pay $150 cancellation fee.  I had no idea there would be such a thing.  My Fault, I did not ask the question and I cannot find it in any of the emails we went back and forth on and there is nothing about such a thing in the paperwork I printed out.  Nothing whatsoever was mentioned during the conversations I had with both parties in arranging this move.  When I protested, they dropped said fee to $50 but I would never ever book with these folks again.  They may do a great job, but I will never know from my own experience as I do not appreciate being mis-informed especially on something like this. Makes one question what else they may not tell you.  Good Luck.

Damages.

This is quite a scam Moving Staffers has going, as they take no responsibility for the condition of your items once they leave the premises and blame any damage that occurs on the transit.  They said I could only file a claim if I witnessed the loaders dropping or damaging something during the loading process. How am I supposed to know what the loaders are doing every minute of the 3-4 hour process when I'm busy cleaning the place I'm moving out of? For all I know, these idiots dropped and broke my furniture, loaded it in the pods, then covered the damaged items with larger objects.  These clowns loaded a lightweight bookcase with the heaviest items in the pod. So when I opened the pod on delivery, the heavy items had broken out the back of the bookcase and broke two of its shelves. Add this to a broken guitar case, numerous scratches and tears and scuffs on my leather couch, desk, dining room set, broken dishes, a small amplifier, and various stands, and you have an accurate picture of complete incompetence. And it doesn't come cheap! I'm guessing that the only thing these guys can move properly is their bowels.  If they had done the loading properly in the first place then items wouldn't have tumbled all over the place and nothing would have been damaged. And that's the part that IS on their watch, but of course, it's impossible to prove what happened and when. A horrible company. I don't know how they stay in business based on the numerous complaints at a number of sites, all saying what I'm saying here.  A complete scam. Usually, you get what you pay for. With Moving Staffers, I must have paid for the worst and most inexperienced people on the planet. Now I have to replace my furniture and dishes, and the company refuses to take responsibility for their shoddy work performed by a pair of half-wits. Here's a clue for you, Moving Staffers, 'fragile' means easily breakable. Pass this on to your staff, but try not to drop it in the process. .
