Long-distance move from Orlando, FL to Denver, CO

Beware!

Honestly if I could give this so called "moving company" no stars I would. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They quoted me a price on the phone. I gave them all exact accurate information. Then the day of my move they had 2 guys meet me at my storage unit. These men seriously looked like drug addicts off the side of the street. They were both very clueless and honestly I know they were intoxicated. They reeked of liquor. They had this big black very sketchy looking truck. They then gave me a whole another price and said they weren't moving the stuff unless I pay an extra $500 even though all the info I gave on the phone was 100% accurate. We had paid a deposit before they came. I called the manager and he basically acted as if he didn't care and he was also very rude and yelling at me on the phone. They did no service and never gave us our deposit back. So now we have to go through our bank and we are also going to a lawyer seeing as to the fact they had movers drunk on the job, who were suppose to be driving our items across state. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY BY ALL MEANS.

Long-distance move from New York to North Carolina

Worst company ever.

Worst moving company ever! Our belongings were supposed to be delivered June 4th. The tuck did not arrive until today the 19th. When we called to find out what was going on we were told the truck broke down. When we called a second time we were told the truck was fixed. The driver then called us to say the truck broke down again. The company rarely called us to update us on a new arrival date. I have several emails telling me it would arrive last week, which was completely false. Lior in dispatch is extremely rude. Not once did he or Phyllis apologize for the delay. When the truck arrived I asked to see my belongings before I gave them any more money. They drove off with our stuff and refused to turn around until we paid them. Stay far away from this company and do your research before even considering to book them. If only my fiancé had done the same we would have stayed far away from them. I will never use this company again.

Not Fair--A Rip OFF.

I made a big mistake in using this company. They are very fast and persistent in getting your business with an over the phone quote--which sounds at first reasonable. But it was not what I actually was charged. Just know if you decide to use them, get a in house quote and not over the phone. It will seem reasonable but when they come out--This is where they get you--not weight but cubic feet. I was quoted a bit over a $1000 and then after it was all done nearly double that. They claim that I had more than I had told them. If you do not have everything in a box, then that is where they get you with added "cubic feet". Even the bike had to be put in a box! Now this is how they explain things-- that they can not leave anything out because everything is shrink wrapped into a square. It is not like a "pod" where you can stuff things. The things were not of value and not bulky in weight. It was a huge disappointment that I will have to pay nearly $2000 for a studio apartment with things from college.

Long-distance move from Pembroke Pines, FL to Herriman, UT

Run run run!

Salesperson lied to earn the business would never speak to us after the deposit was paid. We were given an estimate of approximately 2200 to do the cross county move and we were very descriptive of the items we needed moved. He said we are a family owned business and do this all the time our estimates are firm unlike other companies the only thing you would pay for extra is extra boxes not on the invoice. I was told that we have a truck "going that way" and you could have your stuff in less than a week more likely 5 days. We don't sub contract any of our work out we do it all in house that is how we have been in business for so long. Come the day of the move the movers arrive as scheduled to load the truck. We did have 1 extra box and were willing to pay the cost of that. The movers loaded the entire apartment on the truck then sent someone up to meet with my girlfriend. We were told the estimate is wrong and the price was more than 30% higher to what was quoted. They tell you this AFTER your stuff is already on their truck. Since we were moving the very next day we simply had no choice but to agree. They will not take any payments other than an initial deposit on a credit card they require cash or a cashiers check. I now understand they do not want you to do a chargeback on the credit card. We numerous times tried to contact the sales person only to never be called back or e-mails responded to, The people in the office claim to not know what the salesperson has said and did not want to get the complaints. Fast forward out delivery day was 20 days not 5 days so over 2 weeks with no furniture or clothes in our new location. When they finally delivery they try to add almost $300 to the price! One angry call to dispatch and suddenly the mistake is found. I wonder how many people actually just break down and pay it to get their stuff? The crazy thing is that the work they did was good we received our items and while still unpacking for the most part everything arrived and is undamaged. The movers the hired in Utah were sub contractors. At the end of the day I want to them to honor the original estimate that we were given. I have initiated this dispute with the credit card company for the $580 deposit we paid for the job. Above that I would like a refund of $25 per day for the difference in the 5 days I was told it would take 7 at the longest to the 20 days it actually took.

Movers stole my belongings.

This company WILL steal your belongings. I am hoping this reaches anyone who is considering using this company as I was not aware of this scam before I ":hired" them. I have a signed "Binding Estimate" that I was told would and could not be changed without my permission ans signature, However, this company loaded all of my belongings onto their truck an called me TWO DAYS later- once they had all of my belongings, and stated they needed $4,000!! more than the signed contract in order to finish the move and deliver my belongings. Then, once I obtained an attorney, they then stated they were "storing": my belongings for me and I would need to pay the additional $4K PLUS almost $1,000 in :"storage fees" to get my belongings back. Every tine I called their ""place of business": I heard Phyllis (their customer service rep- which is a joke) on the phone yelling at another customer who's money they were trying to steal. I then received a phone call form a man (and I use the term Man loosely) named Lee-turns out his name is Lior Anuiz and he is the head of thi scam (calls himself the President but lied to me and said he was "dispatch manager") who cursed at me, called me a B#@$!, and threatened to auction off all of my belongings unless I paid a price he found to be appropriate. Again, I had a signed, binding agreement with these people. After researching them on the internet and filing official complaints with the DOT and BBB I found out there are many other complaints against them.(38 complaints filed with BBB and 26 of those in just the last 12 months!!) I would rather spend the $4,000 on an attorney to ensure these people are not able to do this to another family. The belongings they stole included ashes of a deceased family member, irreplaceable photos of our children, electronics, clothes, banking information- basically everything you can think of that you would need to have transported form your old home to your new home. I had to spend everything in my savings account to buy new beds and necessities for me and my family.

I can't believe there are actually companies that would treat another human being this way, but I learned the hard way. I don't want that to happen to another person or family. PLEASE- no matter what mover you end up hiring- MAKE SURE they have good customer reviews a that are legitimate (not reviews left by members of their "scam"). This has harmed my family in a way that can never be repaired. All we wanted to do was receive our belongings for the agreed upon price in the signed contract. Instead, they walked away with over $700 of my money (which they insisted be paid at the time of pick up) AND all of my belongings.
I am continuing my lawsuit in Florida- even though I live in the Northeast, because I believe it is worth it to prevent this scam to happen to more people.

Long-distance move from Boynton Beach, FL to Bethel Springs, TN

Nightmare of nightmares.

I hired them to move from Florida to Tennessee. I had just had surgery and could not pack as much as I wanted for the movers. So I had them pack almost everything I could not. (which was mostly fragile and delicate items. Unfortunately I developed complications from the surgery and have been quite ill and unable to pack until recently. Almost every box I have opened has had damaged items. Some I can salvage but several so far are destroyed. These boxes were not labeled as fragile as they should have. I am dreading opening up the rest of the boxes as these have several items of great emotional value to me. This extra packing by the way added over 2k to my bill which I was not expecting, plus before the extra packing my bill went from 3k to 4k. When they got done my bill was over 6k for a bedroom set with lamps to a living room, sofa, lamps one chair coffee table, 2 end tables. Oh and several pieces of furniture had deep scrapes and scratches.
Several boxes that were marked "china" arrived looking like they were at the bottom of the pile and crushed. I have yet to open them in fear.
I would like to add that I kept asking how much this extra packing would cost me and I was told "Don't worry I will take good care of you".
DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE NOT A DIRECT LONG DISTANCE CARRIER NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. THE TRAILER YES WAS THE SAME ONE BUT THE TRUCK WAS NOT.

Great move!

Great company I noticed they had a few bad reviews but I guess everyone has different experiences. I got a million calls and they sounded the most promising. They weren't the cheapest but not the most expensive either. I loved everyone to be honest from the office staff too the two gentlemen that came to pick up and delivery. One of my wooden night stands was a little scratched but I was surprised that was the only thing wrong cause I hear horror stories about moving companies but Moving mania is defiantly one to consider!

Long-distance move from Cape Coral, FL to Beckley, WV

From Cape Coral Fl to Beckley WV.

Could not have been worse. The salesman gave me a quote of 2700.00. Once the movers got there and started loading the price changed to 4100.00. If I had the time I would have fired them on the spot but I was all set to go to closing in two days. It took about a week and several days to get here. As soon as the first one came in he threw a new white lampshade on the floor, It now was dirty with holes in it. One of the drawers in the chest of my bedroom suite was broken. Two very expensive lamps were broken and several things were missing. After the boxes were opened I just sat down and cried. My husband had just passed away, that’s why I sold the house and left the state. So many things of his I wanted to keep we’re not here. This is one of the worst things that have happened to me and I hope they go out of business. No one should have to pay that much and be ripped off. Pppplease don’t use them.

Long-distance move from Pembroke Pines, FL to Fresno, CA

I am sad to see others experienced the trauma of working with them.

I wish I could give negative stars for this company. Please avoid the stress and failure of promised seriveces and price and go with another company.

The purpose of this review is to hopefully save others the extreme disappointment, lies and financial scam I have been through with moving mania. I have never had such a horrible experience throughout the entire process of a move.

To begin the drivers/loaders first showed up to my job hours late with open beer cans in the truck and smell of beer on their breath. I found one of the gentlemen (Tron) sitting in my condo a lot and wasting time. 5 hours later my items were finally loaded up and I was given a quote of almost three times as much as the original quote provided by Dave the salesman. I understand what a quote is and that I did add a few boxes and containers and that would change the price but it was not three times as much stuff so why was my quote three times as much? I know Dave underquoted so they could present the lowest price and I would go with their company. Sometimes the lowest quote is t the best and I have learned that. I tried multiple times trying to speak with moving mania and found Phyllis the senior support manager to be extremely difficult to work with and was never once of any help in resolving any of issues or concerns. She was constantly extremely rude and belittled me.

My stuff had to be held in their warehouse until I found where I was going to relocate. I was told I had to put in a delivery destination even though I didn’t have one so they picked Ohio where I was from. I was told by Leo the dispatch manager that as long as I didn’t go somewhere too remote my quote would not change based on the high shipping cost I had to pay due to the time of my move in December when shipping freight costs were at their highest. I was told an additional cost of $1200 would be due at destination. I was originally quoted this move would cost less then $2000 (clearly a lie and once they have your stuff you really can’t do much about debating the original quote that was a lie). I had already paid close to $2000 at this point. I was quoted $140 for my monthly storage but later when they had my things I was told it would be over $450 monthly. Leo did go to the warehouse and say the footage of my Items was “mis-quoted” and he adjusted, but it was still $360 a month for storage.

The last step in this horrible process that has already cost way more then quoted was having a destination for delivery. I called to inform them I was ready for delivery to CA (I underatand that is further then OH but I was told my price would not change due to the high cost of shipping at the time I booked). Now my cost has gone up $906.25 in addition to the $1200 and will take weeks to get to me even though originally I was told they will deliver to anywhere in the US within 7-10 days. It’s been two days since they have known my destination and I still have no itinerary, load date or delivery date.

To sum up I am reporting them to Florida Consumer Protection for the above reasons and hope my things arrive soon and undamaged. Based on my experience I am doubtful and feel this company will damage things on purpose and take their time.

Not only was the cost more than what I was quoted initially. My furniture did not arrive when it was promised to me when it did come it was very unprofessional I’ve had several items that are broken I have jewelry missing they didn’t put items where they were supposed to put them just overall the worst moment of my life I will never use them again and I will not recommend them to anyone else.

Long-distance move from Cape Coral, FL to Yuma, AZ

Rip Off.

Dave Myers convinced me to use his company by telling me they would handle the my belongings from beginning to end. He said they are not a broker and it was better to use them because my belongings would not be transferred to other movers during the move. I moved from FL to AZ and they LOST 4 boxes, 1 large plastic bin, and 1 printer. I only had 20 boxes, 4 plastic bins, 1 sofa, 1 loveseat, 2 chairs, 1 floor lamp (which they broke), 1 mattress/boxspring set, 1 small boat bookcase, and a storage bench. I've tried for a couple months to submit a claim as instructed thru MovingClaims.net (https://www.movingclaims.net/claim-procedures-package.html) and I believe it's a scam. Their website will not let me submit my claim, nor will it let me print the claim document so I can submit it through the mail. I believe they have it set up to wear customers down so they give up. Most of the items I lost are replaceable, but that's not the point. Some aren't replaceable. The plastic tub contained all the new clothes I purchased for my new job in AZ and now they are all gone. I don't like feeling like I was scammed.

Review.

I just had the worst move of my life with moving mania Inc. out of Florida to California. At first, Peter from US household gave me a quote for 1779, which later was increased to $2050. The mover company came to pick my household items up very professional I was quoted a certain price did not get the price I was quoted at the end. I had never seen or agreed to with a price mark up of over $1500. Not only was the cost more than what I was quoted initially. At the end, I paid close to $600.00 over my quote. My furniture did not arrive when it was promised to me when it did come it was very professional ask me to pay the balance first, and I’ve had several items that are broken. My bedroom set was left on the floor because the screws were missing, my mattress was toned up, my dining room was left on the floor because the screws were missing and cannot put together, my TV screen is broken, night stand broken. I was stucked with all this damaged inbuilt furniture. I was told they will deliver to anywhere in the US within 7-10 days, which was not true. I overall the worst moment of my life I will never use them again and I will not recommend them to anyone else. This was the worst moving experience of my life!

Do Not Book Moving Mania!

Horrible service! They got the destination address wrong and they also charged me extra from the original quote when They arrived to pick up my household goods. Oh also my things were picked up on a Sunday and I was told within 5-6 days that they would arrive in California. When I called for a status update 5 days after my things were picked up, I was notified my things had not even left the warehouse and they did not know when I would receive my things at my destination!! Disorganized and horrible customer service! What a mess, would NOT recommend.

Better to do it Yourself.

Poor Communication! We did all our communication over phone. The only time we communicated through email was for me to sign the authorization of my deposit.I was told I'd be dealingwith the person on the phone the whole entire move. He may believe that he was actually going to be the person doing my move. He wasn't. I was told I would be contacted the day before my move (a thursday) to go over my inventory one more time. I was not contacted. The whole day went by and no phone call, so I tried to get in contact with them by phone and by email. Was contacted through email by the person(on my moving day) who said he was going to be doing my move, to tell me that it is the drivers responsibility now. So I called the driver at 9 a.m.rightafter I got the email and ask them what time they would be coming and I was responded with they will call me between 12-3pm to let me know what time that they are showing up. Please note, this is my moving day and I'm being told I won't even be getting a call til at lastest 3pm?? I'm supposed to "move Friday and have Saturday as a spill over day if needed". The movers representative words exactly. I didn't get called by the truck driver til 5pm telling me "I'm calling to set up your moving date for tomorrow". As far as I'm concerned, the contract was null and void. It says on my paper Friday/Saturday. I tried to get my refund and they refuse. So please be warned. They say one thing but do another.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS

Do not use these movers! The owner is unorganized and unprofessional and frankly a scammer- he tried to overcharge me for a half-done job. I rented a utility elevator from 9-11. He had 2 guys show up at 10:30! I sent an hr loading my major items onto/off of the elevator with his guys. They were cool and professional. I still have half of my apartment to move out, the utility elevator is booked for the rest of the month, and I was charged for using extra time. I will have to get movers again! The kicker is the owner said the work would have been done with or without my help - had I not started moving stuff out and just waited for his guys we wouldn't have gotten a single load down the elevator! I have to call movers again and go through this process somehow. And the big kicker is the owner tried to take off $50 dollars and charge me $350 for what he claimed was 4 hrs of work like he was doing me a favor! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

Move from Sarasota Fl to Pittsford NY 2021

WORST move EVER (out of 17) in our 56 years of marriage! Their unprofessional/lackadaisical/canned response to our overall complaint leaves us no choice but to enlist the aid of FMCSA, IRS, Bureau of Household Services, and Fl Dept of Agriculture & Customer Service. ALL documentation regarding the move will be forwarded to each agency for their review/investigation to determine compliance, discrimination and ethics.

WARRNING! Do not chose the $.60 per lb insurance! The damage THEY have done to our furniture is FAR more than the $75.00 settlement based on $.60 per lb.

Red Flags:

1. Two trucks for pick up and two for delivery for intrastate move?

2. Extra charge for second truck on pick up even though their employee loaded a box spring (we were throwing out) and left it on the truck even after they realized they couldn’t get everything on one truck! The delivery took two trucks also because they “forgot” to load everything!?

3. Storage fees need to be reviewed for consistency. We were charged a full month instead actual days stored!

4. Delivery truck had no markings or signs on it but the paper work said Moving Mania?

5. Documented lost items never found and must have been hidden in the $.60 per lb!?

6. Regardless of of all the pictures of the damaged THEY did to our furniture, $75.00 was their total settlement!

Long-distance move from Pineville, NC to Brunswick, GA

Worst moving experience (from NC to GA)

The first mistake was booking through a broker (Southern Movers Guarantee). We thought we had full packing service but didn’t. Moving Mania came a day early when I didn’t have my packing fully completed. When they got there, the price of the move went up another $1500 based on the items I actually had to move versus what was estimated by the broker. Additionally, on the paper copy of the contract, the remaining balance was miscalculated. When they arrived to deliver and unload, I had to pay an add’l $275 for their calculation error so they would unload my items. Will never use this company or broker again.

Worked thru a broker who (first mistake) who choose moving mania(second mistake) moving from NC to NY. Showed up at 11:00 0n 5 /7 and proceeded to take inventory before loading (already went thru this with the broker). Moving Mania said there was more items the before ( BS) cost us another $3000. didn't finish loading until 5:30 that afternoon. The truck was a 26" van and it was fully loaded with only our stuff. When I called for delvy I was told it would be in a few days as they were coming from Kentucky ? Why ? They called and said they would be In NY around 1 to 4 on 5/12 ( Happy Mothers day). Showed up in a different van at 5:30 with only a driver . Had to divert to a storage unit first because they loaded the van wrong. Told only the drive could unload due to insurance regs. We helped the driver anyway. Showed up the next 5/13 around 10:00 with a zombie day laborer who didn't speak English They couldn't get the couch in the apt. Had to get the apt Maintenace crew to show them how to get the couch into the apartment. Had a missing cooler and some items were broken.
