I felt scammed by them

I should have known this was not going to be good when they didnt ask to see pictures of my items. I was moving some furniture from Cali to Maryland.

They set the pick up date on a Monday but then I was called and told it would be the following Tuesday. When Tuesday came around no one came. The office in Florida was closed so I talked to the after hours call center who could only reach out to people and would have someone call me back.After not hearing for an hour I would call again and the call center rep would try again. The time frame I was given was from 5-8 pacific, which ment it would be 8- 11 eastern.

At 1 am eastern and being told that they are on their way and someone would call me soon I told them to reschedule me for the following day. They said they would try. The next day the movers came, called me to let me know they were there and told me their truck had broken down. They could have called me since they clearly had my number to let me know they would not be coming they had truck problems.

Once the movers were there they only had 2 people. They said they needed more people to help move one large item.

I had been quoted 3000 but when the moving date came it jumped to over 6000 AND I didn't get everything I requested even though it was in the quote with out it costing thousands more even though I said that was in the quote. Its almost like the mover played up that he didn't speak english well that there was a miscommunication. even though I had the mover on the phone and the broker on the phone and we said it would max be 800 square feet for all the things i wanted. Then once the broker was off the mover said no it was 800 with out some of the stuff so when i called the broker back they said i could pay even more money. I was grateful they took zelle because had I had a money order or a cashiers check or anything that had to have been set up in advance I would not been able to pay for my stuff since they increased the cost.

This is when I started to first feel scammed.

When I set up the move date I told them I would not be there when the stuff was picked up but someone would be and I would want my stuff as soon as possible. I was told they would write it down. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything I called they said they would try to get in contact with the mover. I honestly think that I called so often they knew my number and would keep me on hold longer so they would not have to talk to me. They kept telling me the same thing they would put down that i want it the next day (as soon as possible) but after a week(ish) I would call back when I wouldent hear anything. It took OVER a month to get my stuff.

THEN when the movers came to my house despite knowing i had some heavy material I was told they can not lift it into my house. Even though it fits. Because the movers only sent 2 people they had problems. Had the movers had more people KNOWING i had a very heavy object it would have gone faster.

It was a very frustrating move and I do not feel as if Movesafe cared about me or my stuff once they had my money, even if just a fraction of it.

No one called to follow up to see if I was happy or not, probably because they knowI was not.

Not honest or reliable

Move Safe will say what you want to hear for your business.

I hired them to move a safe and our belongings to SD. Up front they were asked if they can move a large safe? Yes, our guys have the equipment and guys to do the job, I was told. I explained what they needed for the job and I was assured they have the equipment. Move Safe subs out their move to other moving companies. Move Safe doesn't move anything!

Movers showed up with no equipment and left the safe behind!!!

I had to rent equipment and return to get the safe.

I asked for immediate delivery as I would have family there to receive delivery. "21 days" later they show up with our belongings!! So much for immediate delivery. Move Safe will say what you want to hear to get your business but its the actual movers who dictates the schedule for delivery as to when they have crews and trucks available.

The moving crews were professional and great. Can't blame them.

Use a actual moving company not a brokerage company like Move Safe

BEWARE!!!

Where do I even start to describe this horrible experience! I grade them as ZERO stars as they are only involved to grab the booking with you, promise you things you will not get, and then hand you off to other moving companies who will cause you more grief. I was promised a crew of 4, delivery the next day and complete set up/staging upon arrival. I was told at pick up that the items would arrive between 5-10 days (not next day as was promised). After much back and forth they agreed to 3-5 days for delivery. This left me spending an extra night in a hotel and a night sleeping on the floor in my daughters apartment. I received a message stati stating delivery would be one of two dates and that was the last communication until they arrived and announced they were there with a text. I was out getting the cash that was required for delivery!! Because we had not heard any updates!! Then the delivery crew of 2 wanted the $$ upfront before they would unload the truck. I said absolutely not until I verify that everything arrived. Then the “dumping” of my daughter’s fragile items began. Boxes marked as fragile were loaded upside down or sideways, boxes were bent and partially opened. Her plants were literally completely unpotted and some likely will not survive. There was no ‘set up/staging’ and they wouldn’t even remove the moving blankets which we then had to dispose of as we had no room for them. This company is a scam and I would encourage you to avoid them at all cost!! I have another cross country move coming up in the spring and will use anyone but these con artists.

Terrible experience

Where to start on how terrible they were!? Difficult to contact. Underestimated and underquoted my move to lock me into a nonrefundable deposit. Movers wanted $4000 more at pick up. My move went from $5200 to almost $12500. I found other movers and used half the cubic feet they estimated. They don’t tell you about extra charges for stairs, “heavy” items or glass tops. Our movers showed up in flip flops. Definitely not professional. It’s most definitely a scam.

DO NOT USE, HORRIBLE

Go with a more well-known company even if the starting quote is higher, you will be saved the headaches and stress. Our experience was terrible. They grossly underquoted our move and we were charged over $7000 more on the day the movers arrived for our things - even after we had done 3 different walkthroughs with video and pictures, and the last one was 3 days before our move, and there was no change to the number of items. We paid for packing and moving. They ended up contracting with "Best Movers" for the move, which turned out terribly. For a 4-bedroom house with 3-car garage they sent THREE movers only and none spoke any English. It was so difficult to communicate anything. They ended up moving a refrigerator we did not want moved! And of course got charged for that too. Some boxes arrived un-labelled and many boxes' labels were inaccurate or misleading because multiple rooms or areas were packed into one box without any note. Many things arrived broken, scratched, and/or dirty. They packed our shoes in a dirty garbage can with no liner. The way they packed caused damage, and when they unloaded, some boxes were even placed upside down. They didn't even reassemble all of our items as promised. They reassembled some, but they had disassembled baby furniture only to tell us on the other end they couldn't reassemble it because it was a liability. They left 2 shelving units and an outdoor table unassembled, and we have no idea where the hardware is, it wasn't with the items. Since the move, we've contacted them to go over discrepancies between what they estimated and what we were charged for, and the issues I listed above. We haven't gotten any breaks in terms of cost. They sent a list of "additional items" they claimed we had at time of pickup which caused the extra cost, but again, we did not add anything new to our home in the few days between the last walkthrough and the actual move. They had reassured us so many times that they had everything on their inventory, but now seeing this list they came up with that were "additional" it's clear they were being deceptive. We really did try to do a thorough walkthrough so nothing would be missed. At certain points in the walk throughs, they assured us they didn't need to list this or that, only the big furniture or they would estimate box numbers based on the photos - well, this was clearly inaccurate in order to get us to sign the contract based on a lower estimate. Trying to communicate with them after the move has been useless, when I spoke to someone on the phone they were very rude and I'm still waiting on a manager to call me back. It feels like as soon as they get your money they're done with you and will do nothing to make anything right. Overall, very bad communication and very unprofessional.

Never use

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this moving services provided by this company and counterpart movewise and I request a full refund for the subpar experience I had. Not only was the customer service incredibly rude and unprofessional, but there were also several issues with the actual moving process that left me deeply disappointed.

First and foremost, I was shocked by the level of rudeness displayed by their customer service representatives. From the moment I initially contacted them to inquire about the location of my items that was picked up on 7.28.23 and scheduled to be delivered 8.2.23, I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude from Barbara and Micheal. It seemed as though my questions and concerns were an inconvenience to them, and they made no effort to provide helpful or informative responses. This lack of professionalism continued throughout the entire process, leaving me feeling frustrated and disrespected as a customer.

Furthermore, I was appalled by the significant discrepancy between the price that was presented to me before the move and the amount I was charged on the day of the move. When I initially reached out to this company for a quote, I was provided with a detailed breakdown of costs that seemed reasonable and fair by representative Tyler who took an accurate inventory of all the items to be moved. However, upon pick up day, I was presented with a quote by the movers that was significantly higher than what had been previously discussed. When I spoke to customer service they refused to refund my deposit and advised me that the movers was only quoting worst case scenario and my cost would be adjusted based on the actual items once loaded into the truck. This never happened I was charged over $1000 dollars more than originally quoted. Once the move was complete there was no evident reason did the overcharge as my items barely filled the section on the truck that the claimed. I have witnesses as well as the storage unit representatives who can confirm and agree I was overcharged. This unexpected increase in price felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of me as a customer, and it left me feeling deceived and cheated.

In addition to the issues with customer service and overcharging, there were also numerous problems during the actual moving process itself. The movers never arrived on 1st delivery date which Movesafe and movewise verbally confirmed it would. When I reached out to the company to address these issues, I was met with rudeness straight away and evasive responses. The representative claimed they did not know where my items were and offered no assistance or resolution. She states she would have a manager reach me and then hung up the phone. Despite multiple attempts to contact the manager and follow up on the matter, I never received a call back, and my emails went unanswered.

Now a week later, and several attempts to reach this company for just an update on my belongings. I felt my belongings were stolen or lost. I called my back to get involved as I have paid almost 3k for their services. Eventually after my bank started their investigation, the movers conveniently reached out a day after to deliver my belongings. Unfortunately, several of my belongings arrived damaged or broken, while others were completely missing.

Overall, my experience with this moving services has been nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of poor and rude customer service, overcharging, late arrival, and damaged/missing items has left me deeply unsatisfied. I expect a full refund for the subpar service I received and hope that you take this feedback seriously to improve your company's practices in the future.

Worst experience. Do not use this “company”

Basically scammers who will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into a contract that they don’t actually let you read. The estimate is low balled to entice, but in the end they say your belongings will take up much more space than anticipated and you will end up paying almost double. Oh, and the deposit is non- refundable. Shawn and William basically lied on every point that mattered to me. Moving is physically and emotionally difficult and these “professionals” prey on your vulnerability just to make a sale. DO NOT USE THIS “COMPANY”!

At this point, I have been left feeling violated and have no idea when and if I will ever receive my belongings.
