Movers Not Shakers

We were very happy with the packing and moving service. The team from Movers not Shakers were incredibly efficient and professional as well as being friendly and a pleasure to have around over the 2 days.
We had them for a day of packing, and then the move day. Both days they started early (bang on time) and were so quick they packed our 2 bedroom flat up in just over half a day! They took all the stress out of the move and made the 2 days run very smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving service. They were brilliant.

From initial enquiry through to arranging for empty boxes to be collected every single interaction with all of the guys at Movers Not Shakers has been fantastic. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. We moved from a 2 bed flat to a 3 bed family home. The guys were all really really personable. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them, and they managed to work like trojans consistently throughout the day. However they did this in a calm, unflappable way which made me feel really assured on my important move day. Their quote was thorough, and in comparison to others very fair. I've used other removal companies in the past, but this was by far the most personable experience I've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble, and nothing at all was missing or damaged. Truly a great job. I've already recommended them to friends, and will continue to do so. Well done guys - it's not an easy job moving someone's 'life' around the city, but I think you are great at it. Thanks.

They damaged an antique item and would not compensate me or return emails or calls. They said they could not claim it on their insurance and that they were not negligent. Mike is very rude and dismissive. Tried to turn the story to make us look bad and accepted no responsibility. I saw the damage happen during removals and the men never even apologised. Just carried on as of nothing happened.

Extremely overpriced considering they are not regulated. We had three men but one barely did anything. Steer clear - better man and a van conpanies out there or at their price a regulated BAR member removals company.

Do not use this company if you have anything of value, expensive items or antiques etc.

I cannot recommend Movers Not Shakers highly enough. First of all, they were very patient when I had a series of near-sales that fell through, which resulted in me being in contact them for nearly a year. Secondly, when the move actually happened it was dealt with with incredible efficiency by Graham and Alex. I had a partial packing service (I packed some items, but left them to pack some items - principally books). It was very reassuring to be in the hands of people who obviously knew what they were doing, and who were calm and efficient. I owe them a big thank you!

Mike from "Movers Not Shakers" sent me a well planned offer for my partial move (about 31 packed moving boxes, some other boxes, some loose items, an electrical piano) as an extra load. "Movers not Shakers" responded flexibly to wished changes in the plan (I didn't wish for storage) and I was flexible with the delivery date.

This was my first move where I didn't have to do anything than to say from where to where and how I wanted my boxes and items moved. Insurance and the carrying of the boxes and items inclusive into the rooms in which I wished to have them were part of the contract.

There was no damage ("Movers Not Shakers" was definitely meant literally), nothing stolen, nothing dirty or wet (but it didn't rain at that time). The price was exactly as calculated in advance in the quote. The payments was comfortably possible by card (2% credit card charge, nil for debit cards).

The move went smooth, was kind and felt uncomplicated. I can only recommend this!

(My pickup location wasn't in the list, so I chose one closest on the way of the van back from Germany to the UK.).

I would highly recommend Movers Not Shakers. From the quote to the final move day itself, they have been fantastic.

We had a partial packing service, an extended period of storage due to lockdown, and finally the move into a new house. Through all this none of our items were damaged and Mover not Shakers have rebuilt all our furniture without a problem. Throughout they have been professional and personable and have taken a lot of the stress out of moving house.

Reliable, efficient and experienced - wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I have been working with and using the services of Movers Not Shakers for over the past 2 years, no other words than fantastic! The whole team are so brilliant, super organised, extremely careful and always friendly and helpful. I should know as I have moved home 4 times with them! (an unusual number of times but was due to a home renovation and temporary accommodation situation). I have recommended Movers Not Shakers to my friends and they have had the same experience! I thoroughly recommend them for any removal or storage needs! : )

We recently moved house with Movers not Shakers with the full packing and moving services, and I would highly recommend them. From the start of the process from enquiry, they were very responsive and gave a great service at an acceptable price. They arrived early to pack our stuff and worked till the end of the day to get all the furniture reassembled in the new house. They were professional and friendly as well as being respectful of our belongings. We really appreciate all their hard work.

We used movers not shakers for a move from a 2 bed flat on the 10th floor to a 3 bedroom house. I received a few quotes and found MNS to be the most competitive. They quoted by the hour which I am always a bit cautious about, however they were fantastic.

They arrived for the move on time and got straight to loading the van. We had pre packed most things but they were very efficient when it came to moving items and protecting mirrors/sofas/beds. Our movers were Fabio and Danny and they were brilliant. Friendly, good communication and very professional. We were quoted 5 hours for our move but they did it in 3.5!

Having moved several times in the past I found MNS to be fantastic and the service provided was impeccable. Thank you to the whole team for making it so easy and for the hard work! I will be recommending them to anyone looking to move and will be using them again.

We used Movers Not Shakers for our move from a 1-bed to a 2-bed flat. Their packing service was very efficient, and they were incredibly helpful carrying our stuff to and from a 2nd floor flat without a lift at both ends. They also dealt with organising the parking dispensations which saved us the trouble of doing that ourselves, and were friendly and professional throughout. Will definitely be using again for our next move and would certainly recommend to any friends!

Movers helped me move from a second-floor one-bedroom flat in a terraced house in Central London. The team was very prompt with booking the removal date and the provision of packing materials, and on the day, the guys showed up on time and completed the job very efficiently, even though the property did not have a lift and it was a hot day. I was also very impressed with how they helped wrap our sofa and carefully got it out of the door and down the stairs. All in all, the guys were very friendly, and it made the whole moving a process a pleasure! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is moving houses.

Vincent & Diego were AMAZING! Wrapped all of our vintage furniture with great care and navigated it up to a 2nd floor flat and up narrow winding stairs with ease. Our table wouldn’t fit so they removed the legs and reassembled it carefully for us. They worked with respect and were quiet while they were working which always helps with new neighbours.

We will definitely be back when we next move! My husband is a real stickler for detail and was very nervous about them not taking care but was instantly put at ease.

Movers Not Shakers were absolutely top notch from start to finish. Clinton provided a clear quote and was spot on in his estimates on # of boxes, vans etc. His communication was brilliant before our move - always quick to provide any answers and remove uncertainty from the process. Also we really appreciated the flexibility whilst we pinned down our completion date!

The team on the day were faultless - they were great fun and made moving day itself feel easy. They took great care of our belongings and provided helpful advice on some of the bulkier/difficult items.
