Long-distance move from Coraopolis, PA to Myrtle Beach, SC

This company is one of the biggest rip offs in the moving industry. We moved from Pennsylvania to SC. We waited over a month for our furniture to be delivered with most of it showing up damaged or completely broken. Not only that one of the movers was visibly high and passed out in our driveway! We put a claim into the company for over 2,300 in damages. We have received nothing! Do Not Use MEGA!

Use Them Again!!

They made moving our bulky and heavy furniture look easy and masterfully arranged everything into the pods. They were very friendly and professional, as well as punctual and considerate--they both wore masks for our move during these coronavirus times. This was my first experience with punctual movers answering install. Would recommend Mega Van Lines for sure.

Long-distance move from Gibsonton, FL to Columbia, MO

This is a Scam!!! Brokerage firm and low ball quote then raise prices

I originally booked this company in April for a late June move. Robert Steele was the person I spoke to. I was told the move from FL-MO would be around $3,000 and take 4-9 days. I knew this was a good price so I figured it might change by a few hundred but it was still cheaper than anywhere else I called (over 10 other places.) Robert was very pushy over the phone so I realize now it was my mistake for chosing them but after talking to so many places I just wanted it to be over. I never heard from them so around May I called to confirm details, dates, and our new address. They always answer and seem courteous over the phone. Then another month passed with now word. I had to keep calling the week of to get details on when the would come and finalize our inventory. When I finally got a hold of someone for the inventory we went over everything, a few things less a few things more (mainly boxes being large instead of medium) and then Derick informed me he would be charging me an additional $1700 due to the change in inventory!!!! As mentioned I expected the price to change by a few hundred but this was over half of the original price. I told him it was ridiculous but at this point it was 2 days before the scheduled move and not much I could do. I called back the next day as we had decided to get rid of some things and condense down but they said it was too late to make anymore changes, even though they were the ones to wait until 2 days before what should have happened at least a week before.

The moving company showed up in FL early, very nice gentlemen and professional who completed loading in just 3 hours.

Then the wait. Originally I was told 4-9 days... then 7-10... then up to 14 due to the holiday weekend. On Thursday (day 12) i was told my items had been loaded onto the truck and would be here Sat and given a contact number for Yas. On Friday I contacted him and was told they would be here Sat by 5 and would call an hr before arrival. By 4:30pm on Saturday I heard nothing so I called and was told they had a tire blow out and would now be here Sunday btw 2-3. On Sunday at 2 I called and was told it would be closer to 5. At 5pm we had to call again and were told they were still 40 min out. At no point did he call us with updates. I had to constantly call them. It's now 5:30, and has started raining as I still sit here waiting for our furniture. More updates to come should it ever arrive.

Bottom line DO NOT USE Mega Van Lines. It is a brokerage firm that hires your move out to the lowest bidder. They lure you in with cheap prices and then double it the last week when they know there's nothing you can do. Awful experience!!!

Long-distance move from Houston, MS to Birmingham, AL

Customer service is abysmal

DO NOT USE

Tried to get them to move me from Mississippi to Alabama, they never showed, would never contact me with any updates, and it has been over a week since i tried to file for a refund and every time i call i get the same person Gina, who is rude, refuses to help, or even acts like they care.

Every time i call its always "i don't know i will find out and get back to you" to which i never hear from them, or it is, "that department/supervisor is not here and wont be for 'x' hours/days"

Long-distance move from Portland, OR to San Diego, CA

Stay Away

You have to track this company down to get any response. The new place I was moving to required a COI which required certain coverages and when I received the document on the day of the move, the necessary coverages were not there and they refused to update their insurance policy. After arriving six hours late they concluded there wasn’t enough room on their truck to fit all of my belongings and they left. Never offering any other options. I informed Mega Van Lines of this and requested a refund. It has been 47 days and still now refund. Stay away.

Long-distance move from Grosse Pointe, MI to Carlsbad, CA

Do NOT use them.

I hired them to move my stuff from Michigan to California. They no-showed on the day of the move. I wound up moving my stuff myself in a Uhaul. I have called to get the $2800 that I paid them back repeatedly and have gotten NOTHING. They continually put me off saying "they" review complaints and refunds on Fridays and I have gotten nothing. They are bullies and criminals!

Long-distance move from San Clemente, CA to Pittsburg, NH

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Mega Van Lines canceled on us 45 minutes before the driver was supposed to arrive and instead hired a third party moving company out of Las Vegas that lied to us, voided their contract on numerous occasions, stole from us, destroyed most of our items, lost a motorcycle, took 4 months to deliver our (some of our) things, and as of 5 days ago are permanently closed with the owner and his workers being arrested by the FBI. Thanks Mega Van Lines for your help.

AVOID THIS COMPANY, they're just a broker that will potentially screw you over. Continue looking for a more reputable moving company if you don't want to lose your life's belongings.

Long-distance move from Connecticut to Florida

Scam moving company!

They’re not a real moving company, they’re brokers who outsourced my move & tried to extort an extra $5,000 from me! When I refused, (who has an extra $5,000 lying around in cash?) the movers left leaving me holding the bag! Mega Van Lines refuses to give me back my deposit of over $3,000 & some how removes every negative review I leave on the internet. Do Not Give Them Your Money!

Long-distance move from California to Minnesota

Ever want to see your stuff again?

Our entire truck was "Stolen". That is how it all ended. How it started was -They sound incredibly nice, until they get your deposits. I said deposits, because they will call you again after the initial deposit to scare you into paying double for more space. Then your deposit is non refundable, regardless of you getting a single item delivered. The companies they broker to complete your move literally have class action lawsuits against them for stealing. Is Mega not liable for who they choose to do business with? Mega will not even talk to us on the phone, period, they say we need to talk to the company they brokered and they transfer us over, they will not even talk to us. Well, the company they brokered won't answer at all. so what are we to do? every single item we owned is gone and no one will answer the phone, and to add insult to injury, Mega will not even refund our deposit. Someone help please.

SCAM. DO NOT USE. Read below.

This business is a SCAM. DO NOT USE. They are not a moving company, but rather a broker who takes your money and does not setup a move. I confirmed this with the Delray Beach, FL police department, who confirmed this and stated they are well aware of people getting duped by Mega Van Lines. They started the street exits, but not the street number they claim.

My daughter had a move setup with them, paid her deposit, and then a week before they said the price went up. It doubled. Then they no-showed on moving day with no call. Their "24-hour" phone number didn't connect. They refused to refund the deposit claiming it was done too late. I contacted the BBB (no ratings or reviews because they are fake and reset up), I contacted the Delray Beach police department and they confirmed they are illegitimate. I contacted other agencies, and trying to get Google to remove their listing because of fraud, but I haven't been able to contact them yet.

Use a large, well known, established company. You will regret it if you use Mega Van Lines because they don't exist except to steal your money.
