I had to move last minute for a job opening within my company from NY to FL. the movers my company usually contracts with were all booked so I had to find my own company to service the job. I did some research on the internet and came across Long Distance on multiple platforms. They were available on short notice and provided me a full pack so my wife and I didn't really have to do anything. We literally opened the door and let the crew get to work. Jon had told us these guys were all certified professionals and their work ethic showed that to be true. Also he had assured me these guys wouldn't be, for lack of a better word, sketchy. The movers were all very professional and I wasn't the least bit nervous about them going through and packing all of my items. I've heard of movers out there that steal your stuff but Long Distance was great. No nonsense and no problems.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

Long Distance just left my house an hour ago. As promised they showed up in one of their trucks, wearing their uniforms, with their bill of lading. I got swindled by a broker once before and didn't want to deal with brokers. Long Distance showed me on their DOT page that they are indeed a carrier and that why I chose them. I'm glad I did too! This crew of movers was the best. They really went above and beyond- not sure if they just wanted a tip or if that how all their employees’ are- but either way they were great. I’ve already given mats number to some of my friends moving to California and hope they sue them too.

I was definitely pretty nervous at first but had a great experience with Long Distance that I wanted to share. I'm not the type of customer to ask for unreasonable things, and I don't think the things I asked of Long Distance were unrealistic. I just wanted the job to get done quickly, safely, and affordably. From the very beginning Sammy assured me this would be done. I take anything a sales person tells me with a grain of salt. But Sammy’s guys delivered on every promise he made. I was happy with how everything went and just wanted to share that these guys are upfront and honest from the very beginning. The Cadillac of moving companies!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1900

Initially when I decided to use this moving company, the communication was great. Even the movers who loaded up my items took great care and did a wonderful job. That's where the good ends. I ended up having to pay for A LOT more space and I felt that when I gave them my list of items, it was pretty accurate. I can understand going a little over, but this was a lot even after I asked them to aim on the high side as my company was paying for my relocation so I could not go over once the contract was done. On top of that, it has been 25 days since my "1st day of available delivery". I was told 7-14 days for a move from California to Colorado. After the 14 days had passed, I called, emailed, and sent numerous text messages about getting an update on where my items were. Finally 2 days later received a call back from a girl who could not give me any answers as to where my items were or even a timeline on delivery. She gave me the run around on California truck laws or something that made absolutely no sense. It has now been another week since I last heard from them and I've since left voicemails, emails, and text messages again. I still have not heard from anybody, I have no idea where my items are or when they even plan on delivering them. It is a sick feeling to have to know they have everything I own and I cannot get anyone to communicate with me on delivery timeline or even where my stuff currently is.

I own a lot of breakables. So naturally I was worried for how they were going to travel from Danbury, CT to Raleigh, NC. I specifically asked the movers from Long Distance to take extra care of my glassware. They did exactly that. They were very well equipped and methodically packed everything carefully. They packed everything in the van like Tetris. In the end, when my belongings arrived in North Carolina I checked to make sure everything arrived unscathed. One mug was damaged in transit but other than that nothing was broken. I was so happy with the services provided by this company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

I’m w Ashli on this. I scheduled this company to come a little over a week before I was driving there. Matt was great in answering questions up front, being responsive, etc.
They were 2 hours late on pick up (I did most of my own packing). Finally got it all done. I have not received my stuff yet. In all fairness they have 21 business days, which is 5/2.
I have a hard time getting phone calls back, responses to email, and I still don’t know when my things will get here. I’m being told something about law changes in California, which should have been figured out, and from a customer service viewpoint, something the company should figure out and soon.
Meanwhile, all I’m told is my stuff is in storage in LA.
So, I’m really hoping that my things are delivered very soon. They did a good job of customer service until my things were in their possession, and now, no date for delivery.
Ryan indicated he would look into and that was last Monday. Still no word. I have another message in, and hope they return call soon and give me the date.
I also have had different figures given for final move costs. In all fairness, I did delete and add a few items. Figure I agreed to on day they took stuff, was not the same figure they keep telling me. They have indicated it was their mistake and they will honor the figure I was given on day of move.

We chose Long Distance for a few different reasons; mainly the value in the service provided was on point. Anytime we hire any type of labor we want to make sure it’s not the cheapest. You really get what you pay for in my opinion. We learned the hardware one time earlier in life when we hired the cheapest contractor to remodel our kitchen. Long Distance price was reasonable and realistic. A lot of these movers tell you whatever you want to hear to get their foot in the door and charge more lately. Long Distance gave us a firm price and stuck to it.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1200

We don't do this a whole lot. This was actually our first interstate move. We were pretty nervous that things might not end well but I suppose we’re just naturally nervous about everything. Long Distance but our nerves at ease. They promised us “a complete point a to point b move”. And they sure delivered on that promise. The crew who came to our house was amazing. They stacked everything so precisely. We just arrived our goods 3 days ago and I wanted to wait to finish unpacking before writing a review.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8800

This moving company is the absolute best. I wanted to do business with a family run company because customer service is important to me. They gave me a price of $3150 for a complete move. I couldn't find any TV boxes for a 70inch at target so I ended up paying them a little bit more to pack the TVs. I paid for two and they gave me the third one free. The price ended up going up a little bit for that but they told me about it before so it wasn't a surprise. I have a daughter with special needs and the crew was really great about not making too much noise. Loud noises really frighten my daughter and they were more than accommodating in that regard. Also very friendly. I would use them again if I had to move once more.
