I had originally hired another company to move my belongings from NYC to Portland ME. When they were 5 hours late on moving day I began to panic and called LDRGs. I asked them if they could send some movers right away. Luckily, they made time in their afternoon schedule and made it to my apartment. They were very professional. They worked with precision and care, everything you’d expect from one of the big guys. What I didn’t expect was for the movers to be friendly. They were quite interesting and always smiled. They were done packing and loading everything in just 2 hours. Should’ve just picked a professional from the beginning.

Could not have chosen a better group of workers to help us out into transitioning into a new home. The very hospitality that this reputable company shows all of their clients, even for free consultations and estimates, truly proves that they are there to actually help and not just drain your pockets. We gave Long Distance a call after prior attempts at negotiating a deal with previous companies did not work, ironically enough we had a cheaper rate here than both companies we called prior.What was very astonishing is that moving companies usually have flat rates, and most companies at least try to maintain their prices in a similar range. The two companies we called previously we had also found on Yelp and they had relatively more reviews. However, after giving them a call and having a nearly ten minute conversation with the man at the front desk, we ended up getting three or four different price estimates. And each time he would include a random fee which I do not even think I asked for whatever he was offering. Anyways, if you're moving into or out of Dallas, give these guys a call don't get ripped off by the other guys who just try to upsell you. Long Distance shows that they truly care about helping their customers and not just making a profit.

I was thrilled to speak to a company who would move my aged parents to their new home in an assisted living facility in another state for a reasonable price. I did my homework looked at the reviews from multiple sites and the Better Business Bureau and decided to use this company. While there were complaints, most seemed to be from the west coast. I gave a detailed list of items that were to be moved but could only guess the number of boxes and said somewhere between eight and 10. AFTER the truck was loaded, I was informed the price of the move was MORE THAN DOUBLE the amount I was quoted. Even though I have spoken to a supervisor at the company, they could offer a $100 discount off of more than $4000 bill. Really, you DOUBLED your quote. I encourage anyone using this company to THINK TWICE.

My experience with Long Distance was no different than the hundreds of great reviews I read. The price was in the middle but they really pushed value. To me it’s worth spending an extra 100$ for no BS. Long Distance delivered on everything they promised and then some. Got my job out on time and even threw in a free TV box for my OLED sonny. Real deal guys right here. They accidentally left one of my boxes t the warehouse but when I called the overnighter it to me VIA ups and I got it the very next day. I get that stuff happens- its how you deal with it that makes you a good company.

I own a landscaping company in Rochester NY. We sold a few of our mowers to a smaller company in Delaware on the internet. Rather than spending two days having one of my own crews bring it down the buyer and I worked out an arrangement to hire a shipper. I had heard of Long Distance before and decided to give them a call and see what they could do. Assuring me this wasn't their first rodeo they suggested we schedule a move for the weekend and they'd take care of everything. The buyer just called and Long Distance left an hour ago. All of the equipment arrived as it left my warehouse and the buyer was pleased at the service he received upon delivery. As a business owner I know what makes customers happy and can appreciate how these guys operate. Jon and Matt, if you ever need landscaping you know who to call!

Their sales person told us lie after lie and I am ashamed to say I believed there were good people in the world, they were late a week fro when he promised (but they made sure to be within their “acceptable delivery time” by contract)
I just happen to have all the texts and most was done over the phone that they could make it by our specific date. They gave us all kinds of “extra fees” making our fees almost double.

And when I tried over an over to reach them, they kept telling me that they couldn’t reach their driver, that they would call me back, needless to say those calls never came.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I called Long Distance on short notice to move me 45 miles from CT to NY. Many of the guys in town apparently didn't have licensing to go into NY. I didn't know companies required specific licensing, especially because it’s only an hour drive. The owner at the company in town suggested I call Long Distance and I'm glad I did. The Long Distance coordinator was very friendly and his crews had the same dedication to their customers as he did. I literally opened my doors and they did it all from start to finish. I didn't even have to pack one box. I don't usually go online to write reviews but Anthony was such a nice guy I felt compelled to let everyone know that not all companies are created equal. Choose the professionals!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8520

Long Distance put forth 110% effort when it came to meeting my needs. I'm one happy and satisfied customer. Anthony and rabbi were most excellent. These guys thoroughly blanket wrapped and pad wrapped everything. They packed all of my glass and mirrors. They were so nice and very helpful. I was originally planning on selling all my furniture and buying new to avoid headaches but Long Distance told me not to worry and that I was in good hands. They were definitely right!
