Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Boston, MA

Still Great.

I used infinity about 5 years ago for my move from NC to Texas. I gave them a call once I found out I was moving again. It was the same service I got back them. Everybody was on top of their job. The sales rep, the managers, the dispatch department and the movers. Once again the list we put together was accurate and I had no issues when the movers showed up. I actually ended up paying less then I was quoted which always helps. The movers handled all my stuff with care and there were no damages. The delivery was fast and Im very happy the company is still as good as I remember it. Im always happy to share some good news. These days you never know who you are dealing with and others like to pass off the move for cheap. Not the case here they did it all. Quality company.

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Georgia

Worst Moving Experience Ever.

I contracted with Infinity Van Lines to move 49 pieces of furniture for our move from SC to GA. I gave them a detailed list of the furniture and spoke with the salesman several times on the phone regarding the move. The salesman assured me that he "always over estimates" the amount of cubic feet a person would need for the move. So, I took his word for it and did not think that I would need to do my own estimating. Well, the movers showed up 3 hours late with a truck 2/3 full with someone else's stuff. The driver walked through my house and said "there is no way that all of this furniture it fitting into that truck." I showed him the quote and movning contract with the list of all of our furniture and the cubic foot estimate done by Infinity. I questioned whether or not they even had the room on the truck that I had contracted with them for. I had to get a tape measure and measure the remaining space in the truck, whcih was over 200 cubic feet less than what I had paid for. The driver said that he would use the lift gate to transport some of my furniture and that would make up the rest of the cubic footage. At this point, I called Infinity and spoke with the salesman who I had been dealing with all a long. I explained that the truck did not have enough space and that the driver said that the cubic foot estimate that he (the salesman) had given me was not enough to move the list of furniture I had given Infinity. The salesman told me that my list must have been inaccurate and offered a variety of excuses. I told Infinity that I was unhappy with my experience thus far (since they did not have the space I had been quoted on the INSIDE of the truck and the quote was apparently far too small in cubuc footage to move most of my furniture). I asked for my deposit back. Infinity refused to give back my deposit and told me that I would have to use the movers with what they had abvailable or loose my deposit. At this point, the driver said that he could drive to Augusta, GA (75 miles away), drop off the other person's stuff on the truck into a storage building, and come back the next day and move exactly how much that I had been quoted, even though it still would not be enough to accomodate all of our furniture. He told me that he could move all of the furniture in our house, but it would cost an extra ~$2000. Infinity still refused to give back my deposit and by this point it was 8:30 pm. I was very upset with the entire situation. I decided that in order to not loose the deposit I would let them move whatever they could, which ended up being ~50% of the initial list I gave Infinity (so much for the over-estimation). At ~11pm that night they drove away in their Ryder truck with 2 of my bed frames and a mattress strapped on the lift gate, outside the truck. It was completely ghetto. I would never recommend that anyone use this moving company. The experience was awful. I tried to call and speak to someone in customer service. I even left a message asking for someone to call me back, but no one bothered to return my phone call. It then took 4 days for them to travel ~260 miles to deliver our furniture. After that, we had to rent a U-haul and move the remainder ourselves. .

Long-distance move from Colorado to North Carolina

Smooth Transition.

I want to take the time to thank Infinity Van Lines for the wonderful service they provided us for our move. We were begining to become frustrated with finding a mover because the prices were all over the place and the reps were very pushy. However Ted at Infinity was friendly and informative so I choose them and I am glad I did. The move went as good as I could have hoped and we got delivery on time with everything acconted for. The cost was reasonable and it saved me a whole lot of back pain.

Long-distance move from Texas to Oklahoma

Multiple complaints and issues with this company.

We have multiple complaints with this company. The sales office made promises and claims that the dispatch and moving teams would not comply with. We contacted Infinity Van Lines for a quote on 6/10. We were sent a quote based on the equipment list and box count (as requested). From that list they provided us with a moving estimate and promised us that a one day move on Saturday, 6/21/14, was possible and available and that they would submit for early morning pickup. They also told us that pricing could change and go up or down depending on how much space our items took up in the truck. This is clearly stated in the binding estimate. We made it clear to the sales rep that my husband's employer was paying for the move. Once our employer paid our deposit, the dispatch team called and told us that they had us scheduled for pickup Saturday, 6/21 and delivery Tuesday, 6/24. We told them that we were promised same day pickup and delivery and that was the sole reason we selected their company-dispatch said that "sales isn't able to make those promises and has nothing to do with the moving dates". They told us the earliest available date time was pickup 6/21 between 3-5pm. After arguing to no avail, we agreed to that time. Saturday at 12:30pm we received a call telling us that they needed to move us again to Sunday because "their truck broke down" and they did not have another one available. We tried escalating the situation to management. One rep we spoke with hung up on my husband and then told us that "with your attitude sir, I do not feel bad about it". Our new pickup was now scheduled for 6/22 between 8-11am. We asked dispatch to schedule us as early as possible. We were told that 50% (less our deposit) was due at pickup and the remaining 50% due at delivery. They said accepted payment methods included cash and cashiers check (this is also clearly stated as acceptable forms of payment in the binding estimate as well as personal check.) We pulled cash and a cashiers check from the bank for the remaining payments. We called Saturday to ask what could/could not be moved - sales told us everything could be moved, no stipulations except firearms. The movers did not show until almost 11am and at this point it was pouring down rain (Saturday weather was clear). At this point our personal vehicles were packed, our utilities were off at the current house/on at the new house, I had to alter my storage unit move out date, and we had thawed our fridge/freezer and packed the food in coolers. When the movers arrived they told us that they could only accept cash or a money order and that our cashiers check would not be accepted. We tried explaining that wasn't what we were told but their reply was "possession is 90% of the law if you want your stuff delivered we will need cash or money order" (1/2 at pickup, 1/2 at delivery). Since it was Sunday and the banks were closed we were panicked. The movers also told us that they would not take any food, plants, firearms, or liquids so we had to then unpack our vehicles and repack with the items that they wouldn't take. Part of the included terms of the contract was the disassembly and reassembly of items so they disassembled all possible items at pickup but "forgot their tools" at the delivery location so we were tasked with the reassembly ourselves. They arrived to the new house 3 hours after us and did not finish unloading until about 1:30am on 6/22. During the unloading process 5 separate stacks of boxes fell off their loading ramp and crashing to the concrete. We have multiple damaged items that need to be replaced. We also lost a majority of our frozen foods due to the delays with pickup/delivery. Because we were doing direct delivery the movers did not do an inventory/box count and since unpacking we have discovered missing boxes and items. A majority of our boxes and items were also wet due to the rain. Several times the company answered the phone as "TransUnited" but then changed it when we told them we were working with Infinity Van Lines. They never explained the connection, they just skirted around an answer. I was also promised a phone call from the CEO due to the horrible situation (expected after the move on Monday, 6/23)..today is 7/7 and I'm still waiting.

Official company response

Unfortunately you cannot make everyone happy. We performed this client's move for the estimated amount and did not charge them a penny more. The client received delivery the following day and so far there is no claim of damages by the client. The estimate mailed to the client clearly states that on delivery the only accepted means of payment is postal money order or cash. Also the client has spoke at length with several managers here including the GM in an attempt to try to rectify and clarify the situation however the client is confrontational. So while we do believe that the client is always right there has to be an effort from both sides. We conduct hundred of moves a month and boast the lowest complaint rates in the industry.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Texas

Beware!

Just moved my in-laws to Texas from Ohio.  Worst moving experience ever.  How Infinity has good reviews on their web site is beyond me.  Customer service does not exist at Infinity.  Claim service is even worse.  Do yourself a favor..call a reputable, nationwide company.  It won't cost any more in the long run.  Infinity will quote you a price but it is not what you will end up paying.  Nationally known companies will do a much better job.  This outfit is not a moving company.  MOVERS BEWARE!

We have no record of this client and ask that they reach out to us to resolve any issues they may have.

Do Not Use This Company!

Infinity Van Lines was the most awful company I have ever worked with.  We were lied to multiple times about #1 price of the service #2 when our things would be picked up #3 when our things would be delivered.  The worst was when our things would be delivered.  They had PROMISED us that we would have our things in no later than 1 week from the date it was picked up.  21 days later is not 1 week I can assure you.  They also treat their employees terribly (atleast in the Dallas area).  We had these poor boys dropped off at our home for multiple days with no food or drink and we lived in the country, where there are no fast food places nearby.  The poor guys had to work all day with nothing, until we realized that they had had nothing to eat or drink all day and then we got to feed them.  It was RIDICULOUS!  This company should be put our of business for their poor practices!  Believe me, we did our homework before we hired this company, read multiple reviews online and talked to their sales person on the phone multiple times.  But, I will tell you to hire someone else to save yourself the pain of dealing with such a dishonest and unreliable company.  Spend the extra money and go with a more reputable company!

This is not our client and we believe it is an attack from a disgruntled employee. Beware of any rep trying to point you towards this review and instead check out our A rating with the Better Business Bureau and multiple positive reviews here and on other sites as well. Thank you for considering Infinity Van Lines.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Exceeded Expectations.

I recently relocated myself and my family for my new job from Tampa Florida to Santa Clara California. it was a last minute move and everyone at Infinity Van Lines was very honest and upfront from the first call. The cost of the relocation was excellent and the movers that showed up to load the truck did an outstanding job wrapping and securing my belongings. much more then I ever expected and I would recommend to anyone looking for an honest company.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Worst experience in my life yet.

Infinity Van Lines is nothing but a bunch of liars, thieves who hardly care about customer and their concerns. This company is a bunch of most unprofessional and unethical people I have ever come across in my life. Details:- I wanted to move from Houston, Texas to San Francisco bay area, California. While I was reviewing my options, Sales people from this company reached out to me and we started conversation. I got an estimate of around 1700 dollars as I did not have a lot of stuff. My major furniture was TV, home theatre, sofa, dining table with 4 chairs, mattress bed and night stand. Other than that I had some kitchen and basic house hold stuff. I was ok with the estimate and finalized on the move out date. The sales person asked for 2 dates, one primary and one backup. I provided Nov 29 and Nov 30 of 2014 and did mention that I will book my flight on Nov 30 at around 9 pm as I had to get to work on 1st Dec, 2014. All this was done in 1st week of November giving them ample time to plan my pickup. They sales person said that its fine and the pick-up will not be missed. I paid an advance of $500. I was told that I would be expecting a call from their customer service 48 hours prior to the pickup. It’s 29th Nov 2014, I get a call at around 10 am from their customer service saying that unfortunately pick up cannot be done on 29th but will be definitely done on 30th Nov. I did not have a choice but to wait. On 30th Nov I was kept waiting in total darkness till 3 pm. No one called. I tried reaching them on all the phone numbers that I could and must have left around 20 voice messages. At 3 pm their customer service person calls and says that they cannot have the pickup done on that day. I was livid and furious but they did not care. I had no choice but to take my flight that day and beg one of my friend to take a day off and take care of the pickup on 1st December. On 1st December they had the pickup done, but as I was not there they did what I had feared the most I.e. my estimate swelled from $1700 to $3900. I did not have a say as I was not there and my hands were tied. Now, they wanted to pay 50% before the stuff starts being transformed from Texas. I emailed them a photocopy of my cheque worth 1700$. The next day I see in my account that my $3400 has been charged from my account. When I reached the van lines people they said that by mistake they have taken the money out twice from my account. They also added that they need not refund the money as I would have had to pay the rest at delivery. So technically, they charged me the whole amount without the delivery.   Delivery:- I had to call them and enquire about the date and time of delivery but never got any call from them regarding delivery. Delivery was done on 13th. The person who was in charge of delivery was a rude and highly unprofessional person. He deliberately brought an 18 wheeler trailer. This was done so that they can charge money for extra distance while trying to deliver the items, as the trailer cannot go to every road/street. Once all the delivery was dine I found that My TV was missing. The driver who was in charge for delivery had no idea. When I called van lines people, they had no idea as well. How can you lose a 46 inch flat led TV in a box? I waited for 4 weeks as I was told in hope that they can locate the tv, but could not. Eventually I filled a claim in January 20th and have still not heard anything from these people. When I was discussing regarding my lost TV I was told that they were very sorry and will do their best to compensate the expensive item. But after the claim has been raised the only thing that they do is avoid. The person who promised (relocation specialist) doesn’t even answer the phone anymore.   So to sum it up: Pickup was late They deliberately make sure that customer is not available during delivery so that they can swell the estimate. They have unprofessional people who handle the whole business. Unprofessional delivery Lost/Stole my TV No regards for the customer     Please I urge people not to be fooled and please avoid these people. I don't want the mental and financial agony to be experienced by anyone else.
