I found IMPERIAL MOVERS on Angie's list. Most of the So call reviews are not accurate in my opinion and based on what I went through with FELIX ,and the foreman...May be try chose their victims once.try access 're situation..

My quote was $960 to move a Dresser,Nightstand and other small bags. The Foreman was late,then wanted to charge for more time, so on getting to the Storage, IMPERIAL MOVERS would not release my items of I didn't pay $1305 . Please call me I am a real client! the driver and foreman turned my DRESSER and NIGHT STAND UPSIDE DOWN!!!

We had our move go very smoothly. Erica handled our business and contracts. We decided on a flat rate move and her price was lower than any other moving company’s quote. Everything was met to the contractual obligations. Doctor was the foreman on the job. He and his crew moved us as fast and professionally as I was hoping for. He moved us out of one house to another. The move was flawless. All items were packed safely and then transported without incident. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone with an out of town move from one house to another.

The team arrived at my apartment in NY right on time. They worked fast and professionally wrapped any items that were not boxed by us. They were fast and professional. No damage was done to the apartment or the hall. They arrived in PA. in good time. Again they worked fast and professionally. There was NO damage to our home in PA. either. We have not fully unpacked yet, (who knows when that will happen), but I have unpacked some of the most fragile items and NOTHING is broken. Great job JUBO & his team. I would use Imperial again. Thanks, JOHN, Teresa, Frank & Sidney.

Please pay attention to the negative reviews. This was my forth move with Imperial, and something has changed. It's become a definite scam. My experience is typical of all the negative reviews on here. I was quoted $1,800 as an estimate. Everything was itemized including the number of boxes I would be moving. The estimate clearly said in capital letters "NO HIDDEN COST POLICY".

Well, here's what happened. Anything that was big, they took time to disable and "crate" in a garment box. Anything that would fit in a garment box would be put in a garment box. Dining room chairs, shoes racks, side tables, lamps all went in garment boxes, often with tons of excess space. As an example, two garment boxes contained two IKEA chairs (weighing about 2 pounds) each. This would all be fine except, to my surprise, when they arrived at my house, they left all the chairs, tables, etc. in those boxes and then included all of those boxes on my bill. I had a $555 box charge. At no time was I told I was buying all of those boxes they were using. My estimate said it was a TOTAL MOVE estimate with a NO HIDDEN COST POLICY. How was this not a hidden cost? I even offered to give the boxes back (it's quick and easy to take out the chairs, tables, lamps, etc.), but they said I bought them. On top of that most of the boxes has clearly been used in previous moves.

They also billed me for an extra hour. Time in 9:15, time out 10:15; hours moved: 14 hours. That seems like an obvious math error, but they have refused to understand it. In all, they went $1,600 over my estimate. It was just ridiculous. I'm willing to pay for the extra time they took moving, but I can't understand why they won't acknowledge that the box charge was bogus and the extra time was a obvious math error.

Oh, and customer service won't talk over the phone to answer your questions. This company has obviously devolved into a shady scam. Please avoid at all cost. I will never do business with them again. I'm so upset. I'm an honest person willing to pay for the extra time spent moving (~$850), but I fail to understand why they refuse to refund me for the rest. I never post reviews, but I'm trying to keep someone else from making the same mistake I made. I just want to spare someone the experience I had with this company.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3400

If you enjoy having your things sit in storage for a month while you live in an empty apartment this is the moving company for you. NJ > TN. I was guaranteed that I would receive my items within 14 business days (which doesn’t even make sense because they picked up my things on a Sunday and have drivers on the road on weekends.) It’s been 17 business days and 1 month since imperial movers took our things and still to this day it continues to sit in storage. I was told on three separate occasions that our things were being loaded onto a truck and each time was followed by some obviously fake excuse like the truck broke down, or there was a paper error.

After bringing up my frustration to the dispatcher I was put in touch with the claims manager who reached out to me to help me solve the issue. He gave me a call so I could explain what was happening, he said he would find out what was happening and get back to me. Then I never heard from him again until I reached out to him myself again.

I still have no idea when my items will be loaded onto a truck and brought over, but after spending thousands of dollars on this move (including at least $1k in added charges and tips) you’d think that these people would handle this move more professionally. I haven’t even received my items yet, who know what will be missing or damaged, which based on all the other 1 star reviews here I KNOW will happen.

Save your self the headache and stress and stay away from Imperial movers.

I had Vlad as one of the movers today, there were two others and they were so fast, so efficient, very helpful, organized and productive. I used Imperial last year and they were equally as amazing. I will continue to use them each time I move in the area because I am always very impressed and very happy with their services. They are very friendly too, each time I've called to book them Felix has been a great help and very accomodating. Overall exceeds expectations.

My roommate and I recently used Imperial Movers to move out of our 2 bedroom apartment into two, separate studio apartments in Manhattan. Their pricing was competitive; coordinating the move with the office was quick and easy; and the moving team was great. Lead by George, the movers were quick, professional, and organized—even with two different drop-off locations. They handled our fragile items with extreme care, taking extra precautions to ensure nothing was damaged in transit. They even had great attitudes about lugging heavy items up 5 flights of stairs. George and his team really made moving day stress-free, and I’m so glad we went with Imperial Movers. I highly recommend their services.

Worst movers and administrators therein I have EVER encountered in my life. I had a personal emergency in the middle of supervising the move and had to leave my home. The movers randomly and haphazardly left behind at least $1,000 worth of my treasured belongings IN SPITE OF— in no uncertain terms—EXPLICIT DIRECTIONS OF ALL OF MY BELONGINGS TO BE PACKED UP AND MOVED. Upon my unpacking of the boxes and discovery of MANY DAMAGED BELONGINGS AND THOSE NEVER PACKED OR TAKEN, the lead mover, Sergey, forgot the English language. The administration I set it up with took advantage of my personal emergency, held my belongings hostage in a NJ storage unit AND TRIPLED THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE, ignoring my instructions to bring my belongings to my new address with the keys I had furnished them with. Again, the contact people lied and said “the movers said everything was taken and successfully moved”. Bald faced lies and the 30% insurance I paid for was blatantly ignored and I was utterly humiliated and trampled upon. So because I had a personal emergency they have the right to tread and trample my dignity and life’s worth of belongings? I am talking to you Laila, Ken and Sergey. Lowest of the low; I additionally tipped the movers $80 ON TOP OF THE INCLUDED GRATUITY. They took full advantage of my emergency predicament. A $750 estimate for a move from Rockaway to Flushing WAS STRETCHED AND BEDRAGGLED OVER 3 days, detoured through their NJ storage facility and more than tripled the original quote. How the hell they are still in business I will never know. I abhor Imperial Moving Company and would not recommend them to the devil himself. Shame on these lowly cesspit dwellers, taking advantage of a customer at some of their lowest points in life. May karma whiplash your decrepit & respective fates. I was dismissed and ignored by them when attempting to collect at least the 30% INSURANCE THAT WAS MANDATORY AND I PAID FOR. Thieves and Vandals, but certainly not movers. Hey Sergey, here’s that review you made me promise to write. I could not live with myself doing such ignorant evil upon another human being, never mind a paying customer. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3500

This review is about their interstate moving. Do not use their services. It's been a month since they picked up my stuff. They sent me an ETA for delivery then said the truck broke down. They sent another ETA and now the drivers have COVID. I have been waiting for nearly a month to receive my stuff. Not worth the price. Go with another service.

I've been homeless for 30 days waiting for Imperial to move a simple one-bedroom apartment to South Carolina. A one-bedroom apartment, that's it.

I totally believe the Covid because the workers did not pack my stuff up with masks on. I was the only one in the apartment wearing one. No precautions were in place at all.

They have ruined Christmas for five people and two are out of airfare because their tickets a nonrefundable. One was planning on spending Christmas with his newborn, the other has two toddlers he will miss Christmas with, and the other has a grandmother on life support in ICU who he wanted to visit for Christmas. They are all stuck in South Carolina because of Imperial.

I've never written a review but feel like I have to because this was the worst moving experience I've ever had. DO NOT use these movers if you like anything you own.

On the front end, the movers were SUPER late did not communicate. They were rushing to finish the job (because they were so late) and kept saying they were done but I would see things they forgot. When asking for payment, I saw a west elm floating shelf had been left. He then took it off but all he was focused on was getting his tip. He called me 5x after leaving within about 15 minutes to get his tip which I had already paid via venmo (his requested method of payment). No surprise, he the west elm shelf was never included when I received my stuff on the back end.

I stored my stuff for a period of time, and when I received it back it was an absolute DISASTER. They were hours late with no communication. I couldn't get in touch with anyone at the company. Then come the damages...

- Broken console table (broken unsuable)

- Dented tufted bench (looks terrible now, and it was $1000 dollars originally)

- Couch looked like it had been stored somewhere wet (had to pay $300 dollars to get it clenaed)

- Missing shelf (as indicated above)

- Broken lamp

Just all in all a disaster. After FIGHTING for weeks, I got $280 (moves on both end were ~$1300, I paid $200 for storage each month, and I tipped about $400) so what a JOKE. back from the company which is even less than I tipped the movers (because I know they depend on it but still so frustrating). I honestly debated going to small claims court because of how disrespected I felt both in my communication with the company and due to the treatment of my stuf.

All in all THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER and it's at market value. Do not use EVER. Also, for context, I've used a lot of other companies and happy to provide their names if you leave a comment!

Amazing service provided by Imperial Moving. About a month ago I chatted with someone on their website and they told me its cost effective to find a local mover since I was moving FROM chicago. However they did say I could reach back out to see if they have a load coming from Chicago and to my luck they did! They provided a cheaper quote than the local movers I found. Not only that, they provided a bunch of stuff that these other companies were charging me small amounts for which eventually added up to be wayyyy more expensive. It was such a simple, carefree and easy move I really couldn't believe it. Not only were they able to help me with something they don't do if it's not crazy expensive, but they gave me a super affordable quote and such amazing service. I received the delivery just a few days ago and boy it was again so simple. Among all the other bs I had to deal with while relocationg, they really took a load off of my shoulders.
