Mike and his partner were nothing short of awesome. These two guys were professional, careful with all our stuff and most importantly they were friendly. Choosing a moving company can be a frightful experience (after 3 moves in the last year trust me I know!) but Highland made this move painless and quick. The expression you get what you pay for is true in this case. While a couple of bucks more expensive than other companies, highland doesn't cut corners on any part of the move. Again, thanks to our moving crew, they worked hard and were great. Thanks to Arliss who answered the call when I was trying to decide who to move with.

Many factors influenced my response. It was the whole experience. I feel like the people who did my move cared about me and my possessions. Firstly, they listened to my particular needs, then they handled my possessions carefully as though their own, they didn't leave until everything was placed to my liking because they knew I have no one to help me move things around later.They packed and unpacked my flatscreen TV with ease and set it up on the stand just where I wanted it. They even recommended placement of a couple of pieces of furniture which turned out better than what I had thought of. They put shims under my wall cabinets so they wouldn't lean forward before I anchor them to the wall, and felts under my chair legs. I think your company is very fortunate to have these 4 men working for you. -Shirley Clark.

We used Highland Movers to transport our larger belongings from Calgary area to Red Deer area.  The crew was polite, professional and cheerful.  They took extra items that I hadn't thought they would want to take, and dealt with adverse conditions (weather, wet carpets) with no problems whatsoever. They stayed on budget and were literally running up and down the stairs when they weren't carrying anything.  Very efficient.  I would certainly use them again without any hesitation.  .

Moving is stressful and difficult but Highland helped minimize both with their excellent service and personal attention to the details. Our experience with Highland has been outstanding from start to finish. The set up process was seamless and the move day went off with out a hitch. All 4 guys in our crew led by Gary were friendly, professional, efficient and fun to spend the day with. We have and will be recommending Highland to anyone we know planning a move. Daisy Azucena was amazing to work with. We have recently used Highland Moving to move my daughters home contents from Edmonton to Mississauga. (we are expecting delivery today). I'm not sure if this was a typical move as my daughter is moving form Alberta to Ontario, she was their for the pick up but I am receiving the contents here in Ontario. To make things more complicated I need to travel to Vancouver next week and would not be here to receive the move if they came after this week. What could have been an incredibly stressful move for my daughter (and I) turned out to be a fantastic experience. This is 100% a reflection of the customer service we received from Daisy Azucena. I feel Daisy went over and above to ensure we had all of our information and worked with the driver to help ensure delivery before I needed to leave next week. Daisy's communication skill's, friendly demeanor, and accessibility I believe to be a huge asset to your organization. I will use Highland Moving again in the future just because of my experience with Daisy. (just fyi.. I used one of your competitors when we moved to Ontario two years ago and did not have the same experience) Please thank Daisy on our behalf.

Working with Highland Moving & Storage was one of the worst experiences in my family’s life. I would not recommend them as a moving company at all – for example: delayed unloading dates, at unloading we only witnessed one of five container seals being cut, damages to goods (cracked, scratched, broken , damage to the house (severely scrapped door frame, scratched and dented hardwood flooring) mistreatment of goods & poor level of skills (no strapping of appliances, heavy slamming down of expensive appliance onto interior flooring, stressing furniture (dropping a $1,200 Lazyboy recliner off of the loading ramp on the pavement, leveraging antique tables on one leg on the pavement, stopping mid-way up the stair-well while moving a $4,000 leather couch to answer a cell phone, slamming a $8,000 gas range up the back deck stairs unstrapped on an incorrect dolly, etc.)), not enough flooring covering mats (tramping with a dolly, across brand new carpet, hardwood, and ceramic tiles), no tools and labour to remove and assemble beds; dining room set; couch, too much physical effort required by us to keep your workers in line (unloading boxes, continual supervision, we worked hard all day!), disorganized placement of goods within the house (bed components took hours to find, kitchen boxes in the garage, etc.), very late start to unloading (1.5 hours late with incomplete paperwork), garbage left behind (packing materials, cigarette buts, heavy clay from the trucks), poor attitude and behavior of the workers (cursing and swearing), rude comments from the workers (‘they don’t pay us enough to move this junk’, ‘what a load of old [EDIT] this crap is’, ‘I’m sick and tried of all of this [EDIT]’, ‘when will it end’, ‘what will this house look like after you get all of this [EDIT] moved in any way’, etc.), and the list could go on.   I logged a compliant and received no real response – I even sent a letter to the President of the company and still nothing. Highland Moving & Storage is the worst company I have ever worked with and would not recommend to anyone.  .

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! The worst move ever! Will never use them again, nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy! That's how horrible the move was and how miserable I felt with what they did to me! 
Dear reader, I invite you to read what happened to me, and you decide for yourself if you want to use them for your move.
I was moving from Edmonton to Washington DC, as a single girl, and I was freaking out with the move, so I reached this company.
They sent an estimator. She was smiling and kept saying we take everything we move everything!
1- the first down point, she never mentioned for a Canada-US move they were not allowed to take any liquid! So on the moving day I was left with a crazy amount of liquid! Which I didn't know what to do with it! When I reached the management! They never accepted their responsibility! They said oooh I haven't listened! And I haven't read the brochure(it is all my fault)! Can you believe it?
And oh, by the way, the estimator was so off! She estimated 500 pounds more! They told me my stuff is close to 2000 pounds! Guess what it was only 1500 pounds! Such a ridiculous estimation! Really? Is this how accurate you are?
2- I had to purchase an extra luggage because of their mistakes! And put all those extras in that luggage! So if it was not for my first class ticket I would have been charged $200 for that luggage! For the mistake and misinformation that to this date they have accepted the responsibility neither, they have apologized for it!
3- my moving date from Edmonton was April 13, and my stuff was delivered with one day delay and so much wait on may 9! 
(when I confronted why it has been this long they told me I should be thankful they didn't charge me extra for the weekend delivery!) really? Is this a customer service? 
4- the truck driver forced me to pay before they empty the truck! Now, this is the worst of the worst, and I burst into tears now! It just reminds of a very painful time!
He forced me to pay the full amount which was $300 more than I had agreed to! Again I was forced to pay, otherwise, he wouldn't unload the truck! He came 30 min early and kept complaining about why he can't finish unloading! And that he is in hurry!
Exactly when he charged me the hefty money, I asked him about unpacking! And he said! Oooh no, I am not unpacking, and he said I haven't paid for it!
I got mad and I said hey it is in the paper!! He said oh welll I am not unpacking, you should wait until Tuesday!
When I contacted the office in Edmonton! They said they have made a mistake! 
They know how to charge you! But they can't arrange or inform the driver for unpacking!
So so unprofessional 
Can you believe it?
You can imagine how frustrated I was, not only I have been treated with disrespect, but now I was left with thirty-something big boxes and some furniture in my apartment!
They had come and gone with their dirty shoes! And made a mess in my apartment, worse than that one of them used my bathroom, and I don't want to talk about the mess after that!
I am a petite girl and the whole idea of hiring a moving company to do the move for me was to have a hassle free move, not to through the physical, and emotional torture I went through!
 I was supposed to be at work the following week! They were talking about time arrangement as if I had all the time in the world! And they are entitled to tell me what to do! Really? Remind me again who is the customer here?
I asked a manager to contact me!
She was even worse, they kept referring me back and forth to here and there, and whoever I was talking to was telling me " it is none of their business! You have been charged at the origin" and " the origin" which are these folks were refusing to take care of the issue!
On top of all of that, the small bookcase was totally damaged to the point I had to throw it out! And my drawer base is broken! Which I had to change that one also!
The damage is also not being taken care of!
Apparently, nothing is this companies business once they charge your credit card!
It took me two months to take $200 back out of $5000. I never heard about any apology! Or any compensation! Regarding the torture, they had given me!
It took me until end of June to be able to have a place to call it home! My place was a mess and I became depressed! On top of that, I injured myself due to moving and opening these heavy boxes! I am still seeking physical therapy! 
They pretend to be nice, however, the rate they give you is way higher than other companies, and once a problem like this happens they really will not respond respectfully! Once they charge you, and their business is over, all of a sudden they become rude, entitled and they put the blame on you!
So much about customer service!
I wish I had never chosen this company for moving, they made the first two months of my stay here a complete hell!
So so so unprofessional! I feel my pocket has been robbed for the service I received! 
The worst moving experience ever!

Paul moved me 3 years ago when I relocated to Calgary and the service then was exceptional. When I re-booked Highland, and had the luck of having Paul handle my relocation again I was thrilled. It was efficient, quick and the service was excellent! My move Coordinator, Daisy also provided exceptional service before, leading up to, and after my move. The overall care and attention was well above my expectations! I would recommend Highland to everyone looking for professional movers!

The movers, Kelly, Eric and Chris, are the reason why I recommend Highland Moving. They were so professional and caring. They were polite and consulted with me about placement of furniture and where my other belongings should go. And they were very efficient. I expected a good move as the company had been recommended to me by a friend who had moved her whole house with Highland, but I didn't expect that it would be such a great move. Thank you Kelly, Eric and Chris. You made a stressful time much easier for me.

It is my true belief this company does not do background checks or criminal record checks. I used this company for a move and discovered two of the movers who came to wrap my furniture stole 4000.00 cash from my home( that was hidden deep in a closet and locked up in a cash box) I called police and the company right away when they left my home and I say my cash box was broken into. Long story short one employee disappeared and was found by police 2 months later. Both men refused to take a lie detector test. The company took no responsibility!

From start to finish, they were excellent! Jaime and LeeAnn answered every question of ours with patience (and we had many!) and arranged everything to ensure the move went as smooth as possible, which it did. We had a four bedroom townhouse with a lot of furniture. NOTHING was damaged and the movers both loaded and unloaded our stuff in really good time. The estimated time for our stuffs arrival in NJ was exactly on schedule (approx. one week from door to door). Dale at United Van Lines was fantastic; I can’t speak his praises enough.

I have to admit, we were stressed with such a long distance move, even the more so in the winter, and exponentially more so during covid. There was a lot involved on our end to get us to the US, and the fact that the move went smoothly was a MAJOR relief. We researched about 5 other companies and Highland was the way to go, and they were priced very fairly (their estimate was pretty much on point with the final invoice). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!
