Long-distance move from California to New York

I can go ahead and recommend Hercules Movers.

Recently movewith Hercules Movers from Los Angeles, CA-NY. Overall, good experience, theprice from Drew was fair and it fit my budget. On the moving date, the crewthat came was very efficient, worked hard, and knew what they were doing. Thecustomer service department, always responded my phone calls and gave meanswers in regards to the status of my items. Now that my items are here in NewYork, and arrived in one piece, I can go ahead and recommend Hercules Movers.

Stay away.

Not only are they rude and unprofessional, they lie about quotes and they returned my boxed items with roaches in them. I have a new born, I was appalled. After contacting them about the roaches, they said there was nothing they could do, and to leave a message in their complaint department. Oh by the way, they never showed up on the day of my delivery, I drove all the way from LA to Sacamento in the middle of the night so I could make the date they gave me, but they never showed up and couldn't even give a courtesy call to let me know they weren't coming. Also, Lydia, the dispatch girl - very rude. Do not deal with her if you can avoid it. I'm in the middle of a lawsuit with them. STAY AWAY.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Hawaii

Run While You Can.

Before you call Hercules READ these reviews. If there was a way to rate them zero stars, I would. They are liars, thieves and scam artists.  DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.. as Barney Fife used to say "Use your head man it's common knowledge"My wife and I used them to move to Hawaii from Ohio, and we used them because they were cheaper than all the rest. RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN ITS NOT WORTH IT! First they lied to us about when they were going to pick up our things in Ohio and told us several times "we'll be there in a few days" which turned into a few weeks.  Then when our stuff arrived on Oahu they called our disconnected phone number several times and never called our new number in Hawaii. a 3 days ago and told us that we owed an additional $570 (a months storage) because we didn't call them.  They told us that we had one hour to claim our household goods, if we did not it went into storage for a minimum 1 month fee. They also treated us like trash!  They have no customer service at all, why? Because they don't serve the customers. If you get scammed by these horrible people it's your own fault.  We didn't look for review either so don't feel too badTake them to court, and post your reviews everywhere you can. Long-distance move from California to Colorado

One of worst experiences in my life..

I hired Hercules Moving Systems to move my 2 bedroom apartment from CA to CO. I read through the information and talked with the representative several times and made a very detailed list of all the items in my house and gave detailed measurements of items since they needed to know the cubic feet since that is what they charge by, even doing calculations of cubic feet of boxes. I only had 4 medium boxes that were added last minute that weren't on the list. However, when they came and loaded they stated that I was over their estimated cubit footage by about 150 ft3 once my items were on the truck. They wanted to charge me over $600 more than my official quote. I stated that all but 4 boxes were on the list, and they agreed to come down on price a little, but wouldn't give me what I was quoted or just allow me just to pay for the extra boxes which I was upfront about before they started loading. However, it states in the initial paperwork/contract that you will be charged 'only for items not on the list.' There wasn't much I could do with my items loaded already. I had even talked with the Hercules's representative prior to loading, and he assured me that since I had been so thorough with my list that I shouldn't this problem. I did end up calling the company or whoever handles disputes for Hercules, for Hercules only picks up your stuff then other companies take over (which I was also told didn't happen). I told them the situation after getting the run-around from several people. They did review my case, and I continued to get the answer of 'I will contact you tomorrow' for several days in a row. I then got a call stating that I wouldn't receive a new amount, however, about 10min later another agent called and stated they would give me about $140 off and gave me a new amount to pay on pick up which I verified over the phone three times. So I purchased my money order. Then the paperwork they sent to change the amount stated a different amount. The initial amount that was estimated was $2183 and they ended up making me pay a total of $2675. By my estimates the 4 boxes should have only costs me $50.  By the end of this I was so frustrated that I was just tired of fighting with the company and its representatives.  I feel that others should know that this company is not honest even if they reassure you it is, and you should just plan on extra cost even if you are detailed in your list of items. I was contacted by the moving company and was told that they were to deliver my items between Thursday and Monday. I was also told they would contact me the day before but couldn't let me know a more precise time and this was after about 1 week of having my items and I was just waiting for them. It kind of ruined my weekend since we thought they could come any day. However, they never called during that time frame. I called them to ask and a couple of times and they said it was on its way and couldn't give any more information then afterward I called again they said it hadn't left the warehouse. They then called on Monday, and delivered on Tuesday one day late.   Another issue was that Hercules stated that they had their own trucks and didn't contract out, but that was exactly what they did. For another company dealt with dispatching the trucks and another company delivered my items late. Also several items were damaged with dents or broken with no apology.   I wish to have an apology since they were dishonest and gave false information that made my weekend awful and they delivered late.

Long-distance move from Texas to Hawaii

Avoid at all costs1.

Terrible company, borders on fraud.! They gave us an initial quote which we declined. They then provided a "better" offer. Rather than send the container we agreed on, the sent a moving van, so we could not track how much space we used. Lo and behold, they claimed we used more than contracted and charged us the initial amount, which was obviously the plan all along. They do not return phone calls or emails once they have your business. They did not communicate when our furniture would arrive and delivered it the very last day permissible by law. Loaders on both ends were great, but once Hercules makes the sale, this company could care less about you. We are disputing a charge made and they will not respond. I should also note that they did not pick up our furniture on the dates agreed upon, causing a great deal of stress since we had sold our house and had to vacate. If I knew then what I know now, I would not consider using this company.

They took care of our stuff as if it was their own. Highly professional, courteous, and helpful. One of the movers worked with me until I was completely satisfied. They completed the move in a timely manner. I will be more than happy to use them again in the future.

Long-distance move from Texas to New York

As bad as it gets.

I am still waiting for my stuff. I am a University Professor, moving to NY to start a new job. I told my sales person my circumstances: I can't be there for the move when I teach classes because students pay a lot of money to attend my classes. I also stated that I don't have anyone to oversee the move with me, so I needed a company with some flexibility. I was told that this was not a problem, and given examples of much more complicated situations that this company has handled.  I was told " we will work with you", so I hired them.  Well, since then, nothing has happened as planned.  Pick up was late and there was no communication on their end to let me know- I found out because I was persistent in my calling and finally someone told me.Prior to that, I was told that everything was all set, the drivers were on their way, and to be patient. When I got my teaching schedule, I emailed it to people at this company more than three times, left messages more than three times, and talked to someone directly about it twice. I did this because I had a bad feeling about this.  I was told numerous times that "we will put a note on your file".  Though, when I asked about what notes were on my file in subsequent calls, they could provide me no information.  Currently, I am still waiting for my stuff. I was told that they will "try" to accommodate me, but "nothing is guaranteed".  This is very different than what the salesperson told me. They are also reserving the right to re-start the delivery window because I replied instead of replying all to an email they sent me.  Even though the information they were asking for I had previously provided through email, direct communication via the phone, and voice mails left at the salesperson's extension and the dispatcher's voicemail. I have most of this documented through 1) a communication log that I was advised to do by my lawyer, 2) my cell phone records, and 3) email contact from the company.  The next time that something that someone from that company said would happen does happen, will be the first time. You would think they would forward my email if it was that important, or perhaps tell me something like "we will email you and if you don't reply everything changes, even if we are emialing your for information you have already provided us numerous times."  Jack, my salesperson, has not replied to any of my emails. Last I talked to him, which was three weeks ago, he said hold on and I was on hold for over 30 minutes.  No reply to my emails, no reply to subsequent emails.  .

Hercules Long distance Move - AWFUL!

Worst moving experience ever.  Mover did not explain timeframe for delivery; only upon pickup was it clearly explained that move could take up to 3 weeks for delivery, at which time it was too late to make a change.  Nonetheless, the actual delivery occurred 6 weeks after pickup.  Delivery was incomplete as a large furniture item was missing.  It was soon located at the origin, however this item took an additional 8 weeks for delivery.  While the mover did not acknowledge, I believe the delay was because they were waiting for a complementary load to deliver the missing item (rather than expediting delivery due to their mistake).   In addition to the unacceptable delays, throughout the process I called frequently to get status updates.  At least half the time I could not get through.  When someone answered I got the standard "dispatch is working on it" which seemed to be code for "we are waiting for another load and have no regard for delivery in the committed timeframe".  Other times the customer service staff was rude and unprofessional. If a customer has a full truckload, I am sure that Hercules will deliver in a reasonable timeframe.  If not, then you better hope another load that exactly fills up a truck with your load is going to the same place.  Otherwise you will wait, possibly a long time.

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Very bad service.

We moved whole  2BHK apartment from CA to WA with reasonable fixed price.
Frick me out most:
500$ - 700$ redelivery charges since they delivered early and we were not ready with our new apartment yet. We cleared this on phone before moving forward with them and they promised us that they will store our items free for 1 month before making delivery or if it reaches early. But lack of honesty.
Rude - Extremely polite before you finalize your move with them. After they load your stuff into their moving truck, they will no more be polite to you.
Lack of responsiblity and no follow up procedure on lost items after delivery, so consider urself lucky if you have all your boxes. We lost dining table worth $600 and they asked us to fill some form. No follow up, it has been 6 months and now I am fedup of calling them again and again asking for same claim process update.
PLEASE learn to value your customers.

Long-distance move from California to Illinois

Stole Everything I Owned! Then Threatened me And Double Charged Me!!

HERCULES MOVING SYSTEMS STOLE EVERYTHING I OWNED AND THEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO DOUBLE CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD.

There is a reason their prices are so much cheaper than any other moving company - they are not a real company, they are crooks and thugs who steal your things!
I had everything I owned picked up on the 11th (I don't want to say the month because I am scared they will come after me again) for a cross country move from LA to Chicago.  It was picked up with the condition that it would be delivered to me on the 4th of the next month.  I should have known immediately that they were dishonest and criminals when I got a call hours after my things were picked up.  I was informed of an additional charge for the movers going up the stairs (even though my apt. building had a freight elevator).   I didn't want to argue at that time because they had everything I owned and I hoped to get it back.

Then, close to the delivery date, I called to confirm the time/date because I needed to tell my new apt. building.  I began getting calls from telling me that they didn't have my things and didn't know where they were.  Eventually they located them and said they had not left the downtown warehouse and were still in Los Angeles! They had been taken from my apt. in LA and placed in storage by these "movers"! I asked where my things actually were because I would go get them from this "storage facility" and was told they were then on a truck.  Right.
After hours of calls with different people and most of them refusing to give their names, I got a call from the man who said that he had my things.  However, he demanded $1,000 CASH IF I WANTED MY THINGS, OTHERWISE HE WOULD DUMP THEM SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE THE CITY.  I said I'd pay the additional $1,000 and 3 Mexicans showed up in a tiny U-Haul with maybe 5 boxes of wet, opened, re-taped crap.

The driver, Sami Sume (323) 973-2653, said that my boxes (ALL OF MY CLOTHING, MY BED, MY DESK, EVERYTHING I OWNED!!)  had been misplaced and that he didn't know where it was.

After reporting everything of value was stolen and reporting Hercules to Visa,  I began to receive threatening phone calls from anonymous numbers.  I filed a police report, but because it was an inter-state move and the actual location of the theft was unknown (I had no idea where my stuff was stolen from because like a moron, I trusted the company) there was nothing that could be done.

4 months later, I spoke to Rose Bautista and she said that they are still looking for the missing items which she now concedes were delivered to a customer in Missouri.

ENDED UP PAYING THEM OVER $3,000 FOR THEM TO STEAL EVERYTHING I OWNED.
