Long-distance move from California to Texas

Nightmare.

The entire service was very poor from the beginning until we received our items.1) We got overcharged the quote was different, the movers measure the whole move and according with Gustavo (mover) calculation I have to pay 350 more of my estimate or give to them 200 tip. I was thinking of saving money so I tip them in check that I can show proof of that.Pick up date Saturday June 28.2) I did not hear form the company for about 2 weeks. I was calling to the company almost every day and no answer zero customer service. people very uneducated. An email was sent on July 11 indicating the delivering date from  07/20/14 to 07/25/143) Friday july 18 I received I call from IONI he told me about delivering date. I told him that the max day for delv would be 24 because nobody will be at home, or that I can wait for next delivery time in 1 month. 4) Ioni called tuesday 22 promising that the guys will at our apartment early in the morning next day. Movers showed up at noon, My husband who is a Dr could not wait so he went to work and came back to open the door (noon) he told them he will be back by 5pm to check every thing. Well these people decided to literally dump our belongs and not assemble the furniture like the dinning table, bed, tread miller, even some item were left with pad, trash every where, mattress still in boxes. And I am not counting that I have not open all the boxes.  Our bed useless, dining table useless missing parts, missing boxes, item left with pads. This company is a scam and it should be penalize for the poor quality service.

Local move within California

I had a very good experience.

I did a TON of research before making my move from San Francisco to Florida and I am very happy with the service Hercules Moving Systems provided.I was only moving about 1 bedroom's worth of stuff and didn't want to break the bank on this move. The "big" companies gave me quotes around $3600, which was more than my stuff was worth! The sketchy companies that give you quotes from the internet (DON'T USE THEM) gave me quotes under $1000. Hercules Moving Systems quoted me around 2,500 and the offered me a flat-rate quote (I could have done one based off of weight if I wanted). My estimator, AVI, was friendly but very honest. Example -- At one point, he told me that one item I wanted to move was not worth it -- he explained that it would cost a lot, because it was heavy AND it was the kind of thing that breaks in cross-country moves. He didn't have to say this, and his company would have made extra money if we'd tried to move the item.AVI stuck with me for the entire pre-moving process. I asked him about a million annoying questions and pestered him endlessly. I even changed my inventory multiple times at the last minute. In hindsight, I was probably a pain in the [EDIT] to deal with. Still, every request was responded to promptly and accurately. On move-out day, the crew of guys arrived (Augustine and the two Joses) and got right to work. My apartment had a CRAZY stairwell, and the guys managed to get my large and awkward furniture out without messing up the building's paint job. They packed and wrapped all of my furniture really well and we very courteous and professional. I had asked the guys at Hercules Moving Systems to hold my belongings in storage for about 20 days before sending them out so that I'd have time to find an apartment. They agreed and gave me a 10 day delivery window (the way these guys move your stuff cheaply is to pack it into a huge 18-wheeler with other people's moves -- so the truck doesn't leave until it's full..hence the window). The only bump in the process came with the delivery of the items. I was under the impression that I'd get a call one week prior to delivery. Once the middle of the window rolled around, I called in to the company and found out that I would actually only get a ONE DAY warning before my stuff arrived. This was less than ideal. The next day, before my new apartment was ready, I got a call from the truck driver saying he was ready to deliver THAT EVENING. Luckily, he was very nice and was able to hold off for two days and I had enough time to get everything ready. The truck that arrived was from a moving company that Hercules Moving Systems had contracted with to complete the transportation of my stuff. I have heard that sometimes this is where problems pop up, but I had no such issues. The guys were able to back the HUGE truck into a really tight spot and then very quickly and carefully unloaded everything.Overall, I had a very good experience and would not hesitate to use Hercules Moving Systems if I'm ever moving within Northern California again.

Long-distance move from Illinois to California

I wanted to recommend Hercules Moving.

Great Service! I wanted to recommend Hercules Moving for the outstanding job they did with my move.  I have made several residence moves in the past, not always with good results but Hercules exceeded my expectations. The positive experience started with the return call from their account rep, Mike, who was very professional and asked all the right questions. The quoted price was very fair and, as it turned out, an incredible deal. The moving team was very professional and focused on making sure that my possessions and property were well protected. They even had to carry furniture and appliances up a double flight of stairs and never hit the walls or banisters. Even when they finished, there was no damage at all. I would highly recommend them for any move contemplated and will use them again in the future.

Long-distance move from Arizona to Tennessee

Late and no communication.

The starting process and pick up of items went well.  After they picked up they stored the items for 3 weeks before even getting them on a truck.  When I called to find out delivery time/day I would have to call 3 times before getting return calls.  Due to the delivery being late I was given a credit which was not passed on to the driver and when the delivery was made in Tenn. the office wasn't open so he wanted full payment.  Driver was rude & disrespectful.  Many calls went back and forth to get the correct amount and he wanted to charge for having to wait.  This company needs to work on customer service.  Good news was every thing was delivered.

Long-distance move from California to Oregon

Lied to, cheated, and taken advantage of.

1. Driver was from Brazil and spoke in broken English, he only understood us when he got his way 2. He showed up six hours late and then charged us more because it took him into the night to load the truck. He should have been on time in the first place. 3. He upped the price on my wife three times, pulling her a side without me around to have her initial the increases. At ten at night she would have signed any thing 4. He add $4,000 for a smaller truck to unload the larger one into, but didn't add it as a line item, so when he decided he was late for his next delivery, he still charged us for the $4,000 and ended up unloading us in a local storage so we had to hire some locals ourselves to move from storage to the house. 5.They scratched my speakers, broke pictures, tables, and they didn't put a single bed, or furniture back together like was promised.  We could have really used that help because both my husband and I or over sixty years old. 6. We have bought and sold twelve house in the past and this was the worst move we have ever gone through.  Because of our house's quick closing they were the only company that showed up to bid, and that is because the BBB gives them a BIG FAT 'F' rating.
They are located at 2345 S. Santa Fe Ave in Los Angeles, so please do not use them.  We complained to the office them selves and got NO WHERE, even though right on the contract the driver wrote negotiate with office concerning shuttle. Jasmine at the office gave us our first quote of $5,000.00, with a shuttle and we ended up at $15,000 without a shuttle, and additional charges for the storage unit, and the seconded set of movers.  One of the local movers felt so bad for us he came back with two friends on his own time and finished the move at a discounted price.

We happy with everything.

We used Hercules Moving for a long distance move and had a very good experience with them. Dana always contacted me whenever I called or email. The movers were very professional. They wrap all our goods (especially our white sofa, mattress and 65" Plasma) and over all this company made us very happy with everything. We will move back from Washington to Oregon next year, and definitely we will use them again.

Long-distance move from Arizona to California

Worst Company Ever!

It started off bad, we were forced to sign inventory log BEFORE they would start to load truck. We had all things packed and ready to go, plane tickets for the next morning. We could not afford to let the truck leave without taking our things, so we signed the document before hand. I was told our move would not be subcontracted, so imagine my surprise when A-Z movers show up at our door 2 weeks later. 95% of our boxes were damaged: ripped, punctured, smashed. We had multiple broken items. AGAIN, we had to sign inventory sheet BEFORE they would unload truck. It was not an option. Sign, or we drive away and charge you for storage. The man who was in charged of marking off inventory sheet was not an employee of A-Z and didn't know what he was doing. We had to stop them from leaving 3 times, telling them, this is not all of our stuff!! The two items we had Hercules dismantle(bed frame and office desk) for the move, they lost the hardware. So we were left with pieces and an empty promise that Hercules would send out a handy man to repair. I knew that was a lie as soon as the driver told me that. When I pushed for a number or name to contact the driver became irritated. The "crew" that unloaded the truck, two young men, I discovered were hired from a local ready to work company and had NO MOVING experience what so ever. In fact, they were told by their company not to assemble anything because they were not trained.(We didn't have the hardware anyway!)The lead, driver, got so upset when we questioned him on what his name was, he left without leaving any documents with us. Nothing. When I called Jerry, who sold us the move, he would not comment. When I asked to speak with his manager, he told me that was not possible. He said it was against company policy to give out Supervisors names or phone numbers..What? Totally unprofessional, misleading and BULLIES! DO NOT USE! Our first claim has been DENIED, because we signed the Inventory log. Onward to the appeal process.

Long-distance move from Washington to Florida

Hercules movers stole my goods.

I contracted with Hercules Moving systems to move my belongings from Seattle to Florida. I expected (and it did happen) that they will try to extract more money then the original (Binding (HA) ) contract and that there will be undue hassle on the delivery side (they demanded cash or cashier's check at the delivery, they were late by a 2 days etc) but what really bothered me was that a very nice and brand new Armani winter jacket worth over $1000 in retail was stolen from my wardrobe box.

It will be virtually impossible for anyone to account for every single item in the packed boxes. I noticed some breakage and re-tapping of the boxes at delivery and thought it normal from bad handling, but upon opening the boxes found items missing.

I caution anyone doing business with these people that they are NOT trustworthy and in fact not only demage (they lost the feet on my sofas) but actully WILL steal your belogings.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Washington DC

Totally dishonest company.

I was e-mailed an estimate of cost for move by Andrey for a move from Arlington, VA to DC from Hercules Movers(which also goes under other names), 18343 Lost Knife Circle, Montgomery Village, MD. It was one room of furniture. Estimate according to e-mail should have been approximately $675.00. Movers escalated amount of time on contract and supplies used. Would not take furniture off the truck unless I signed contract prior to filling out.I was told management required me signing contract or they would take furniture back to their warehouse. Furniture was hostage. I was forced to sign but had moving man write on a separate sheet of paper exact time delivery took which was 90 minutes plus one hour traveling time (not the 5 hours they charged me for one way,not to mention the inflated time they charged for original pick-up) and sign sheet which he did. On e-mail,pick-up date, delivery date, discount of 10%, estimated amount of time anticipated were listed. Driver called office from apartment and spoke to office for 60 minutes and added time to bill. I called Andrey after this occurred and he told me he was only dispatcher, yet he was the person who sent me estimate. Spoke to bookkeeper(manager) who told me they would review and get back to me next day. Never got back to me and was told when I called back there was no one there by his name.
This was the most UNETHICAL UNSCRUPULOUS company I have ever dealt with.
NEVER USE THEM!!
