Long-distance move from Tampa, FL to San Diego, CA

Best company

Gulf Coast Vanlines made my move from Tampa, Florida to San Diego, California, smooth and stress-free. I was truly impressed by the level of their work—they fully packed my 3-bedroom apartment and moved everything from the 12th floor into the truck, all before 3 PM! The crew was extremely polite and handled every item with great care. Communication was clear from start to finish, and delivery was right on schedule. I highly recommend them for any long-distance move!

Long-distance move from Florida to South Carolina

Horrible experience.

I moved from FL to SC and decided to move into storage until my house was ready. Unfortunately, the storage locker was not opened and the movers refused to unload the truck until I got the unit open. Then quickly unloaded & counted instead of marking the inventory. Left before completing. Many things broken, and my love seat damaged. I didn't even receive 2 boxes. Put in my claim & 6 months later given $44 to settle. What a joke. Hoping I can get this behind me. I'm hoping this is my last move.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Georgia

Professional Movers!

My experience with Gulf Coast Van Lines was terrific!  The salesperson Jason Halloway gave me a feeling of complete assurance that my furniture will be picked up and delivered on time.  He even made alternate plans when inclement weather postponed my first move.  There were no hidden surprises or charges and this is extremely rare for moving companies.  My items were delivered hours early and the movers took extreme care to ensure that each item was placed where I needed them to be.  We were also impressed with their efficiency combined with professional attire.  I will definitely use GCV for future moves and I am recommending this company to all my friends and family.

Desceptive.

I chose this company because they worked with my budget and offered a reasonable delivery window, yet when the movers arrived this morning I was give a 9 day delivery window! I was told to call the office, which I did, no answer. When I tell him the office doesn't answer he tells me, the office doesn't open until 10 and offers no solution. Yet he was somehow able to call the "office" 20 minutes earlier to recalculate my move due to extra boxes..well why did you tell me to call the (closed)office? Of course I had to cancel and am left scrambling to rent a truck and hire a couple of laborers to load and unload. Beats twirling my fingers for 9 days!

Personality meets Perspiration.

Everyone I dealt with was delightful. From the relocation specialist to the 4 movers. Personality meets Perspiration. Your new slogan if..
Organized admin. and max helpful. I'm a Nervous Nelly but throughout the process their patience was preserved.
I was not at the far end of the move, so I can't psychically assess damage/inventory. Just sayin'. I know my mother was taken with Campbell and also the quiet co-pilot. She left them there to grocery shop while they wrapped it up. I have complete confidence that nothing was stolen or wet/dirty. Any damages or inventory mistakes may be on me. Mom said the boxes were gently conveyed from truck to storage. Mom was doing so much I hadn't the heart to ask her to tick inventory. I'd be repeating Mom's opinions to extoll Pelly and his co-pilot who saw me thru at the beginning of the journey. Again, Micromanager Me was more than well-tolerated by Pelly and Guy. They were receptive to my anxiety about extra charges. Pelly was more than clear about my estimate. We went over each contract item with due diligence. All went well, except Pelly's preference to "Ma'am." What the heck should he have called me? Ms? Mrs? Dr? Boo my Hoo, I am a Ma'am. Well done, Gulf!

Long-distance move from Florida to Pennsylvania

Exceptionally Superb Movers By Far.

By far our best experience moving ever! The guys were fantastic and very professional at all times. The search for a mover was a nightmare until I spoke with Jason at Gulf Coast Vanlines. He was very patient and seemed detailed about what to expect during my move. After speaking with so many cold and disconnected movers, I knew I had finally found someone that actually understood me and what I wanted from this move. To be certain, I let my wife (who is merciless with customer service people) take a swing at them before signing up, and to my amazement she too gave them a thumbs up. The rest was a breeze. The movers did an awesome job. Very friendly and attentive to us and the furniture. The cost arrive at what was quoted and we added a few more things that we didn´t mind paying a little extra for. We had 5500 square foot of items in 2 locations, and these guys worked their butts off Everything arrived in good shape, including my wife´s grandmothers Hardman (piano) which we were most concerned with. All was fine. Thank you guys for your care and professionalism. We will always remember this move as being our best so far. And we will recommend you to anyone.

Long-distance move from Florida to Georgia

Great Service.

I would definitely recommend Gulf Coast Van Lines to all of my family, friends, or anyone for that matter. Not only did I get a fair price for moving my three bedroom home from Florida to Georgia, they also included all the packing and materials in the price as well. They were promt in arrival and were very efficient in the full pack service, wrapping everything with care and disassembling all my beds and reassembling upon delivery. Delivery was prompt and none of my items were damaged. They were also able to help me with the transport of my wifes vehicle.I would like to thank Gulf Coast Van Lines for the great service from all of their employees.

Long-distance move from Georgia to New Jersey

Horrible company.

We were quoted one price for the move to new jersey when the driver arrived they wanted another $800.00, we were stuck as the lease had run out and had no choice to pay the additional amount. The manager gena said they would work out a refund but to this day three months later still no response. Horrible company to do business with, STAY AWAY from these people.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Impressive and Outsanding.

I used Gulf Coast Van Lines about 2 years ago, and was pleasantly surprised when they completed my 1 bedroom apartment move in less than the hours expected with no major hiccups or issues. So when it came to my Upstate New York move I contacted them again, along with 4 other national companies. Once again, they quoted me a reasonable rate, and worked with my very limited time frame--I only had a 4 hour window on one of the two days I could make the move.  They went way above and beyond to get my furniture into a difficult second-story apartment on delivery. I appreciated the extra effort. Overall all, I was very impressed with the move and the quality service. They made feel that I mattered as a customer. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to make a safe and reliable move. Tommy, Jason, and the team. Thanks.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Dishonest movers and no communication/ customer service.

My fiance and I hired this company to move from Orlando, FL to San Francisco, CA.  We shopped around for movers and they had a good price and what seemed like a decent reputation (saw a few bad reviews but not too many).  So the problems first started after we gave them an address to ship to after they had picked up our things.  It took us 2 weeks to get them to ship our stuff.  So after living on an air mattress for almost 2 weeks, our stuff finally arrived.  We were missing 15-20 items from our shipment.  We called the movers daily to figure this out but they did not figure out anything.  We did a bunch of leg work and figured out ourselves that they had hired a contracter to do the move once our things arrived in California.  They never told us they would be doing this.  So we got ahold of the truck driver who came from Florida and the moving company out here and tracked down our things.  They delivered them after another 2 weeks in which they kept putting it off every day.  Once they completed the second delivery, 2 items were still missing.  We again are having to track down things and find where our last items are.  They are very large and it appears they have been stolen.  Gulf Coast has done NOTHING to help us find where our missing things were in both cases so we have filed complaints and are looking for legal action to resolve our issues.  This was such an awful experience.  If they had made an honest mistake and worked to figure it out, I would not have been so upset.  However, not only does it not seem like an honest mistake, they have dodged our calls, lied to us (we asked to talk to the business owner and were told we weren't allowed to.  We finally got him on the phone and he told us not only were we allowed to contact him, he had an extension we could reach him at that the staff would not tell us about), and have not sought to help correct THEIR mistakes.  Whatever you do, please hire another company and do not get stuck dealing with them and their shady/bad business practices.  You can find my complaints also on the BBB for Florida and through protectyourmove.gov.
