Local move within North Vancouver, BC

Hassel free moving

This was our third time using Great Canadian Van Lines. From the initial consultation to the days leading up to the move they were on top of everything and dealing with the office staff they were very professional.

Day of the move they arrived on time and completed in the expected length that was quoted. The drivers were excellent to deal with

I would recommend their service and use them again - thank you GCVL!

Long-distance move from Alberta to British Columbia

3 bedroom house move

This is the 2nd time we have used Great Canadian Van Lines, and once again we were very happy with the professionalism, from booking the move to the final drop off of our furniture. Yad & Jas were quick, efficient, and everything arrived in perfect order (as did our first move with GCVL). The company was easy to communicate with and I had answers to any questions within minutes. Cost to move from Alberta to BC was roughly $8000 - again, less than I expected. Highly recommend this moving company, and thanks to Yad and Jas for climbing all those stairs in our new home!

Long-distance move from British Columbia to Ontario

BC to Ontario

Could not have asked for my move across the provinces to go any better. I dealt with 5 star people!! ...from the initial consultation with Candace to the actual moving of boxes with Steve. Candace was exceptionally supportive/informative/caring and she is one of the main reasons I chose GCVL. You're smart to have her on the front lines! In regards to Steve, both the day of the move plus the arrival of my belongings, he lead his crew smoothly with punctuality, quiet efficiency, and caring support of my furniture & me too ....all which took so much stress off me. I can't tell you how much I appreciated having Steve on both ends of my actual move. ALL my belongings arrived safely! Highly recommend.

Long-distance move from London, ON to Kelowna, BC

East to West move

We requested the same person as we had on an earlier move because he (Harry!) was so awesome and Kathy made it happen. We knew that he would treat our belongings as his own, taking special care to ensure they arrived without any damage. The GCVL team was in constant communication regarding status/updates. Everything went without a hitch and we were very pleased.

Long-distance move from Toronto, ON to Campbell River, BC

Move from Toronto To Campbell River BC

Best movers ever. Delivery was on schedule and not a thing was missing or broken. Wade was very pleasant and easy to get along with. It was obvious this wasn’t the first time he had moved anyone. Wade and his first and second assistant were accommodating and hard workers. Everything was placed where it should be and assembly of beds went without a hitch. All of our belongings were handled with care. I recommend this moving company hands down.

Long-distance move from Chilliwack, BC to New Glasgow, NS

BC to Nova Scotia

A cross-Canada move is a daunting experience especially when you are moving a car and a 3-bedroom house. We obtained quotes from several movers (some ridiculously low from companies with terrible reviews) and e chose Great Canadian because of their detailed quote and ability to arrange our door-to-door car move as well (separate from the furniture).

Eddie and his team showed up for out Vancouver departure. We had arranged for the team to pack the kitchen and tvs while we handled the rest. The move out was very smooth and stress-free with Eddie directing traffic and taking prime control for the load.

The weight was within 200 pounds of the estimate which was great.

Eddy was the driver of the truck with our belongings. As is the case with most cross-country moves he had several pickups and deliveries to make along the route to the east coast, but he managed to make it two days before the scheduled drop off in Nova Scotia. Eddy stayed n contact with us and we were ready when he arrived.

The off loading task was made more complicated by the weather and the fact that the truck was not able to make it safely up our driveway. The east coast crew picked it up though and worked really hard and with care to get all of our furniture safely delivered (and beds rebuilt).

The car, by the way, also made it on time and in good shape too.

No breakage or damage—a first class experience all around and very deserving of the 5 stars!

Long-distance move from Ontario to Alberta

Move from Ontario to Alberta

This is our first long distance move and it was a scary and stressful thought. We contacted a Hummel movers which recommended Great Canadian for our move and as we had great confidence in Hummel we went with Great Canadian. We got a quote from them that was within what we expected to pay and Sara from the office was very helpful and answered all our questions which were many. She also helped us get our car transported as it was winter and we did not want to drive the distance.

Our mover and driver was Codie and he was very helpful explaining everything he was doing. He wrapped everything that required wrapping and was very polite and friendly which made us feel at ease. When he left our home he informed us that he would be delivering our things to our new home. He contacted us by text to keep us informed as to when he would arrive at the new destination. He moved all our stuff into our new place and put it where we requested it to be placed. We could not have asked for any better service from him. The car was also delivered to our destination with no issues. We would highly recommend both Great Canadian and Codie for service.

Long-distance move from Vancouver, BC to Markham, ON

Repeat customer, BC to ON

A real pleasure to work with, from the initial quotes and preliminary arrangements and estimations to the pick up and drop off, GCVL took the time to understand our situation and were careful with loading and unloading our items (thanks Codie, amazing having your help at both ends!). In fact, this is our second time using GCVL, and would gladly call them up should we need movers again. Thanks so much!

Long-distance move from Cambridge, ON to Prince Albert, SK

Cambridge ON to Prince Albert SK, Feb 18/25

Feb. 5/25

I moved from Cambridge ON to Prince Albert SK in the middle of winter. GCVL won my business for the following reasons:

Initial contact, Sarah, was awesome - professional, personable, and responded PROMPTLY to additional email inquiries. I never felt I was ‘just another client’ or that my questions were tiresome, and I was not brushed off simply because I was only moving a one bedroom apt.. Load-on and load-off dates were confirmed in advance and it took only 7 days from load to unload, vs. 2- 6 weeks like some companies. Contents remained on the truck until unloading vs. being transferred to a warehouse or to a shuttle. IMO, when contents are moved often, there is a greater chance of damage. No hidden fees dumped on at the end. In fact, driver noticed an error on the invoice regarding the truck's tare weight for which I received a refund and also one for being underweight from the estimate. The driver, Daniel, (who was GCVL’s "Driver Of The Year" last year) was absolutely top notch. He and his personally chosen team worked unbelievably quickly yet thoroughly. All pieces were wrapped in heavy duty moving blankets , and if needed, ENCLOSED IN CARDBOARD, and then taped up. Daniel's inventory was carefully done and boy, can he maneuver that truck! Daniel was the lead on the load and the unload. It is obvious he enjoys his job and takes pride in his work. EVERYTHING arrived in very good condition, even my piano for which I was particularly concerned.

I HIGHLY recommend GCVL without hesitation - honest, careful, personable, & professional. You won't be disappointed. Message me if you want to know what other companies I interviewed.

Thanks Great Canadian Van Lines, Sarah, Kyle, and thank you Daniel and your team! I couldn't be happier with the service!

Long-distance move from Edmonton, AB to Ottawa, ON

Move from AB to ON

We had a great experience with GCVL. They moved us from Alberta to Ontario. All items were carefully packed and arrived undamaged. It took about a week to deliver our stuff. They used runners to protect the flooring and both homes were left in great condition. We originally obtained 5 quotes and while they were not the cheapest, they were still very competitive amongst other long distance movers. I highly recommend using them.
