We hired Global Trans Vans Lines to move us from Florida to Utah. The contract stated that the items will be delivered within 21 business days of our accept date of 5.29.2026. Here it is 6.30.2026 and all our belongings are still in Florida. They lied once stating that the items were on the way, but I have a tracker in one of the boxes so I called them our on their lie. They cannot even tell us when we may expect our items "it is a long distance move and very far" is all I ever here; DUH that is why I hired you. I have no idea when or if our items will ever get here and we cannot afford to buy new to replace what is suppose to be delivered to us as we are retired and on a fixed income.
We were promised 3-4 days delivery by phone at booking. It has now been 40 days since our belongings were picked up and we still have nothing. No furniture. No beds for our children. No dishes to cook with. My kids have been sleeping on air mattresses for 40 days straight while this company ignores every call and every email we send.
Here is a breakdown of everything this company did wrong:
COMMUNICATION:
Every single phone call ends the same way, no update, we will call you back. They never call back. Two formal written emails requesting a delivery date were completely ignored. Zero proactive communication in 40 days.
BRIBERY:
After we filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, a company representative called us and offered a discount in exchange for deleting the complaint. We refused. This alone tells you everything about how this company operates.
DAMAGED PROPERTY:
A brand new dresser was disassembled so carelessly by their team that it was completely destroyed and had to be thrown away. We received zero accountability for this.
HIDDEN CHARGES:
They charged us $25 just to keep a basic kitchen trash can on the truck. They up charged up by hundreds, so we had no choice but to donate items because it would cost more money just to keep them.
ONSITE PRICE INCREASE:
On pickup day they presented a new binding estimate increasing our cubic footage and total charges. They snuck in a later delivery date. This is a known industry tactic get you to sign the original estimate then increase the price on moving day when your belongings are already being loaded.
CONTRACT INCONSISTENCIES:
The original estimate listed Miami-Dade Florida as the jurisdiction for any legal disputes. The Bill of Lading listed North Carolina. Two different documents, two different states.
WHERE WE ARE NOW:
We have retained legal counsel. We have filed a federal complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We have documented everything: every call, every email, and the bribery attempt.
If you are a parent, a family, or anyone who cannot afford to be without their belongings for over a month, please choose a different company. This experience has been one of the most stressful and exhausting situations our family has ever faced.
Do not trust the low price. Do not trust the verbal promises. Get everything in writing and even then, choose someone else!
