Global Moving LLC

Our recent experience with a cross-country move with Global was awful-don't use them! They misrepresented their ability to deliver my son's shipment within the timeframe he needed and subsequently they refused to honor her verbal commitment to reducing the price due to a smaller than usual load and the fact that they did not use the packing material. Customer service was totally non-existent once we signed the contract. Two different "customer service managers" did not return numerous phone calls, emails or text messages (a total of 19 attempts over a period of 5 weeks) requesting updates and confirmation of both delivery date and invoice total. No one acknowledged, responded to or addressed the issue of the invoice total at any time. While the original manager assured my son that the invoice could be adjusted when the movers arrived, based on their review of the actual shipment size, the movers at both the pick-up and delivery stated that this never happens and they would not be able to adjust the invoice or order. The manager was dishonest in telling him that this process could be used.

This was all made much worse because my son was getting married during the move, and made it clear he needed the shipment before the wedding on August 28th (they had items in the van needed for the event). Despite early assurances that the delivery would take place on or before August 24th, it didn't arrive until September 8th when they were on honeymoon. Clearly, they were saying whatever they needed to in order to get his business. We would not have signed with them had we known they couldn't deliver in a timely manner and charge based on actual volume and materials use. The stress to him and his new bride when Global didn't respond was unnecessary and unprofessional on their part. I am planning to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and just want to warn others to avoid this company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5500

Do not use Global Moving, LLC for your moving needs. They seemed good until the day they picked up our belongings, 8/13/2021. They decided not do to a proper inventory of our belongings at pick up due to a rain storm. Now our belongings are at their Chicago Hub (I assume since that is where they were to be stored until we moved into our new home on 9/7/2021). We moved to Florida from Michigan. They provide a 17 business day window to deliver. The 17 days is up. I have emailed them numerous times. They refuse to answer and give us a delivery date. It appears that I am going to have to file a police report for stolen property. But wait...I bet they see this review and respond here. Stay as far away from this company as you can. And these employees (very rude and unprofessional): [NAMES EDIT]. I have emailed ALL of these people and not one of them will respond to my requests. Prior to our pick up date, they were quick (within a couple hours) to respond to any questions. After pick up, they stopped responding. If you look at all the other reviews here, everything I have stated seems to be a common problem among all their customers.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2500

Company provided false information from the beginning. Sales rep promised delivery of my daughter's furniture on a certain date and come to find out later that he had no business promising a date. Just trying to book a sale. The furniture was picked up in Cincinnati on July 17 and not delivered to Charlotte until August 21. During the hold time, the furniture was held in Chicago. My wife and I tried to get updates on the delivery and either were ignored and not called back or told there was no update. This went on for a month. Customer Service was very poor in returning calls or providing information. My wife and I were even blamed for their poor customer service because we both called trying to get information. We were finally notified that the furniture was out on the truck for delivery and the driver would contact us. The driver never contacted us and we had to reach out to him after finally getting his number from dispatch. The driver indicated he would deliver on Thursday the 19th and subsequently failed to show up. The driver never called and we had to call him again. He then indicated the delivery would be on the 20th by 5:00 PM again a no show; however we did get a call saying he would be there by 7:00. Thirty minutes later he texted and stated he would not make it until Friday the 21st. The furniture was finally delivered and there was damage. They also tried to deliver someone else's furniture. Their website indicates that there is a form to fill out for damage however it is not available on the website and you cannot make a claim. This company cost us more in time and money and made my daughters move to Charlotte a miserable experience. Do not use this company. Poor experience all around.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THEM! I wish I could give them a negative star rating!!

They may seem good while they’re trying to get your business but after that…MALICIOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS & HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DISPATCH. You will never know exactly when they will be there to pickup or to redeliver. They don’t follow through on a thing they say. They don’t respond to calls or emails in a timely matter.

DO NOT PAY for the so called “white glove valet full pack service”!! They literally just throw whatever they see in boxes and don’t label properly, you’ll have no idea what’s in there when they come back. Glass, lamps, shades, breakable items are not bubble wrapped and not packed properly. Clothes aren’t even hung on the garment bars, they just threw them in boxes.

The house was destroyed from moving furniture up and down the stairs at both places. Every piece of furniture, couches and mattresses are broken, dirt stains, has a scratch, dent, mark of some sort and not taken care of properly. They literally just throw your stuff off and on trucks like trash.

Not only all this, they quote you one price and then double it before they redeliver your goods. A fraudulent ‘bait and switch’ tactic. They also only accept cash, because they know they aren’t a reputable company and don’t provide the service promised so there is no way to get your money back after they screw you over.

DO NOT EVEN THINK TWICE, DO NOT USE THEM!!! Pack your own stuff and move your own stuff on a Uhaul! Hire hourly labor workers to help if needed, but don’t even try using a moving company!! Especially this one! So many awful companies out there.

And Global Moving, don’t you dare comment to this review saying “we apologize for your experience and please contact us so we can verify this move!! My job ID was: 3484224.”

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

I'm not sure who is writing these 5 star reviews - our experience with this company was the absolute worst - we experienced more than $18,000 in damages from the company and were then offered $700 in compensation. Our household goods were divided into three shipments and the movers told us they literally received their company t-shirts the day before. They dropped our heirloom piano because they didn't have sufficient personnel for the task and caused numerous scratches to our walls and hardwood flooring. Reaching customer service was nearly impossible. This is not a reputable company - they caused our family undue distress - don't trust your move to these individuals - you will be sorely disappointed!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $19000

I was lied to throughout the entire process. The actual cost of the move was double the amount of the estimate quoted to me. At no time was I told that my household belongings would be held in storage for up to 17 business days after the date of my move out of state. This is totally unacceptable. The company would not accept credit card payments making it difficult to pay for the services. It was awful. I paid a $500 non-refundable down payment for the move and got nothing but aggravation and unreturned calls from company representatives. Believe the old adage "You get what you pay for." Never do business with this company. Always get a reputable mover. They didn't have their own trucks!!! They clearly rented a truck from Enterprise Rental Company that was not big enough to store my belongings. I literally kicked the moving team out of my house and hired a U-Haul truck and day laborers for less than half the cost that Global Moving LLC was asking. It was a thoroughly awful experience.

This group really took advantage of my elderly parents. The bill doubled overnight (started at 11k ended up at 20k) they delivered over 2 months late, they were extremely rude on the phone. They didnt bring all the furniture in the house leaving my older disabled father to do the work. Thanksgiving and Christmas was a family scramble as they believed they would deliver ontime. A few items were in disrepair and the plants were destroyed after 2 months in whatever storage area they sat. They came referred from a respected company my parents trust so they did not do the research to see the scamers they are. That same respected company will no longer be referring these scammers. Do your research, Read all the 1 star ratings, BBB and that is truly the company they are. They are being reported to all agencies involved with this business.

I move once every two years or so. I used Global Moving in 2019, and had an excellent experience. I decided to use them again for my move this year (2022) and have had nothing but problems. They did not pickup my belongings when they said, they did not deliver when they said, I talked to customer service and they said they would get back to me after investigating (they did not), and when my belongings were delivered it was only a partial delivery. I still am missing 20% of my belongings, and that 20% is the equipment I need for my job. I have lost work, my kids have missed school, and I struggle to get answers to any of my questions (especially the one about when will the rest of my belongings will arrive). I can't even get them to refund the additional fees they charged me for to help compensate me for lost wages.

I will never use this company again. I think the first time I went with them it might have been a fluke.
