Excellent Service !!

These Global Moving folks were extremely gentle when they came to move our stuff. They made me feel entirely great even while my husband was not at home. I'm especially impressed with the manner in which they moved our furniture ensuring that the furniture do not get damaged . The shifting process was fast which is past my expectation. Whenever I'm going to move, I will utilize the N company.

Issues with Global Moving LLC.

My experience with Global Moving LLC was not as positive. I feel they have a time management issue or have taken on too many jobs. My move was in June. The movers arrived 7 hours late, so loading was done between 7 pm and 12:30 am. They gouge 2 walls and damaged the banister. My possessions went into storage. As requested I gave a first delivery date in mid July. My possessions arrived a month later in late August due to scheduling issues. Again the truck was late, so unloading happened between 9 pm and 2:30 am. In both cases, the only reason I knew what day the crew would arrive is because I contacted them.
I did occur damages and lost items. I am currently in month 2 of the 4 month claims process.
I do want to say that the crew delivery my possessions were marvelous.

Beware!!

I called a couple days ago and a Manager was supposed to call me. I payed significantly for the white glove service, however, while unpacking I am seeing that I DID NOT receive it. When the movers arrived, I had to keep them from packing boxes that was full of packing paper. Nothing in it, just packing paper. I am now in the process of unpacking my items. My child’s clothes were packed with the DOG beds. There were no layers between them. Just 2 extra large dog beds and my child’s nice suits and clothes. My christmas ornaments were packed with my child's TOYS. There was no wrapping paper or bubble wrap. The tools were packed with my bed linen. My expensive desk lamps were just thrown in the boxes-again, there was no bubble wrap or wrapping paper. I payed for white glove service and what I got instead was my stuff tossed in boxes with no care as to whether my items could break or not. when they were moving my things I had to tell them not to place the boxes on their sides. Needless to say, china has been broken. This was a very unprofessional way to pack a person’s belongings. I am now having to wash most of my child’s things and my things because of the mediocre packing that I am experiencing. This experience has been awful considering the amount that I have had to pay. in addition, I had to steam clean the carpets in my new house because they tracked dirt all through my house.The total compensation for my issues $92. BEWARE, especially if you pay for their "white glove service.".

Customer Service.

No! No! No! Use any other company but Global Moving, LLC. The company started out great and totally impressed me with their response. My furniture was picked up in WI on May 26. I am sitting in Idaho today..June 23 with no furniture. I have called, emailed, left messages and no one is responding to me. So..please hire someone else for your own peace of mind. My next option is to report my furniture stolen which certainly will take away their so called “high rating”. I just don’t want anyone to be in my situation. Everything sounds good until you sign the paperwork. You can check out their reviews on BBB. The company should not be in business. A side note..I moved to ID to be close to my sons/grandson. Many of the items are sentimental to my family. They cannot be replaced and they are priceless so compensation will never be at their true value. Some items are from when my sons were little that I have saved 40 years for them. The pain with all of this is unbelievable.

Extremely disappointed with Global Moving, LLC.

Our Job Ref No: 3445787 with Global Moving, LLC. Dates of Move: July 6&7. Earliest Acceptance of goods: July 11. From: Ashburn, VA to Missouri City, TX.

We have spent over 3 weeks in trying to select the moving company for our needs. We filled out all the inventory and sent it Robin Love and they told us our move size will be around 2370 cubic ft. We are moving from DC area to Houston and we were quoted $9,800 and Robin was very sweet to work with in the beginning until the deposit was made. We have requested that they use a 4-person crew and move us out in 2 days. The day of move, Victor came with 2 other guys and they showed up at 1:30 pm with an Enterprise truck. Is this really a moving company or just storage company? They left at 6:00 pm on first day working 5 hours or less citing that they ran out of packing materials. Next day, they showed up at 9:45 am and they started packing with 3 guys and the second truck showed up at 3 pm with 4th guy. It was another Enterprise truck. They started loading and the truck started getting full very quick. They ran out of space and they were dumbfounded. Still, they need to load very expensive mattresses and my bedroom set. So, we need to depart with the expensive bedroom chest mirror and they tied the mattresses behind the truck and they told us that they will drop the mattresses in MD warehouse and head to Charlette and we have no ideas what happened after. Then, Victor told us the shipment volume was 3600 CF and we need to pay extra $7,000 and still we lost the bedroom set. He took extra payment of $6,500 and left the home without providing the inventory lists and bill of lading. So far, I have never seen any paper work. They left at 10 pm by exhausting my family. We need to spend the entire time at the house wearing masks but Victor crew did not wear any masks and it was really worrisome for us.

Since July 7th, I was trying to get hold off Christie Strong to wrap up the final charges, get list of inventories, and obtain the approximate date when we can expect the goods. We keep calling dispatch intermittently and talked to Doug on July 14 and 15 and he assured us that our stuff will be loaded on July 18 and be delivered on July 20th. We found out from sales people that Christie was on vacation during last week. She still does not answer any phone either while she is at office. No point in leaving voice mails, calling and sending texts/emails. I have asked my 82-year old father and 77-year old mother to move in with us after coming here assuming that our stuff will be here by July 20th. My father is a heart patient and my mom suffer from diabetes and she had the total knee replacement done few months ago. They can’t comfortably sit on the floor and there is no proper setup to take care of them. We are renting furniture to take care of them.

Since we did not get any response from anyone from July 13 to 21, I need to contact my best friend in Charlotte to check on the Global Moving LLC address on Google listing and their paper work to see if there is anyone at the 2303 W Morehead St, Charlotte, NC 28208. My friend was told by the tenants in the building Global Moving, LLC never operated from the address for a very long time. Then, I checked on the 14040 Shopton Rd West, Charlotte address listed on movinginsurance.com and looks like it is a residence. My friend was shocked and we still do not know where they operate from. Then I called Todd Daniels from Sales and traced Doug from Customer Service and the calls were originating out of Apex, NC. I have asked Todd where is your office and then he puts me on hold and calls get disconnected. Is this a legit company? Let God save me and others. Where do these people exist? They have fake addresses all over. I was really worried.

Finally, on July 21, I was extremely lucky to get hold off Christie (after making 20 phone calls) on July 21 and spoke to her. I have pleaded that we need the help and she promised that she will help us load by end this week and have our stuff delivered by Monday. We are praying to God every day that we get our stuff with no damages. If we do not get out belongings, we need to contact police department and may be a local FBI agent to investigate this company before others suffer the same. I am writing the review with lots of emotion, sadness, and despair. I hope Christie reads this and responds to me ASAP to resolve the issue and fix this immediately. I can’t let my parents and my family goes through this nightmare longer than this. Christie told us initially it will be illegal based on DOT to store our stuff beyond 17 days since they picked up our home goods. We are past the 17 days and moving on to the third week. Never ever use this company until they get their acts straight. I am planning to file complaints with BBB and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) if I do not get any response soon.

Horrible Lack of Service.

DO NOT USE GLOBAL MOVING LLC. If I could give zero (the amount of work they have actually done) stars I would. We originally booked our move for a Saturday but they told us that they needed a 48 hour window so we said we could add Sunday. We paid our deposit and booked the move. On the Tuesday of the move week we called to confirm everything and we were told that they could not confirm the time of the move or the approximate date things would be delivered and to call back on Thursday. Thursday when I called back I spoke with the supervisor Christy Strong. She told me everything would be picked up on Sunday morning. I stressed to her how important it was that things were picked up in the morning as we had a 7 hour drive ahead of us and needed to be at work the next day. She told me that it would definitely be Sunday MORNING. So all day Saturday I expected a call to let me know what time to meet the movers at the storage unit, the call never came. So we went to the storage unit at 8am on Sunday and waited. Then we waited and waited and waited. At noon we realized that they were obviously not going to live up to their promises. We were then forced to rent a trailer and load all of our belongings ourselves and drive them back. As we were loading the trailer we received a text from the pick up driver stating he would probably be picking up around 7pm that evening. 7 pm is not acceptable when you know we were promised an AM pick up time. I explained that timing would not work and why. I have called customer service several times and am told I need to speak with Christy, however all I can do is leave her voicemails which she never returns. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lie and lie just to get you to sign up and then do the minimal amount of customer service to get around refunding the deposit you pay. They will stop returning your calls as soon as they know you are unhappy. To top it all off we had to extend our storage unit and pay another month plus we have to make another trip to pick up the rest of our stuff. So the "moving" company so far has cost us around $700 and has provided NO SERVICE AT ALL. Horrible people.

On June 16th your move was confirmed with our Quality Assurance department for a pick up on June 21st. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee pick up times more 24 hours prior to the pick up, due to last minute logistic changes. As per the customer's request, the move was cancelled when given anticipated time window of the drivers arrival for pick-up. The reservation deposit was deemed non-refundable due to breach of our cancellation policy. However, the reservation deposit was refunded in full to the customer in order to maintain customer satisfaction. Do not use this company.

This company is a complete fraud. They understate the estimate and once they have your assets increase the cost and hold your assets hostage. They overstated the size of this move and despite clear proof, refuse to provide a refund. We also received assets that belong to someone else, and they have refused to pick up and deliver to the correct party. Do not give Global Moving your money.

Rip off.

I have never used a long distance moving company. After receiving a quote from other movers I decided to go with Global. My scheduled pick up was confirmed for July 31, 2020. I received a call from the driver stating that they he won’t make but will be there tomorrow morning, he showed up at almost 2pm.We went over paperwork and the second payment was given(half of the remaining quote). They were professional for the most part and worked efficiently. At the end when finishing, he goes over the inventory and the prices is $3000, $1600 more than the quote for the delivery. I was furious I can expect a few hundred dollars give or take but almost $2000, really. Anyway you can’t get in contact with anyone, there is no customer service, the line is just another scam if you ask me because it’s never answered, and I’m unable to get my belongings because I refuse to be taken advantage of. Good luck.

Do not Use Global Moving, LLC.

Beware of using Global Moving, LLC. They have had our belongings since July 2nd and promised an August 1 delivery date. Today is August 18th and we still cannot reach them or obtain a delivery date. In addition, they will not respond to our requests to learn where our belongings are actually located at this time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I would give less than 1 star if possible.

Worst Customer Service Ever!

TL/DR: IF YOU ARE GOING TO ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU NEED TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING THEY SAY TO YOU AND YOU SAY TO THEM SO YOU CAN HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE, DON'T EXPECT ANY DATE OR PICKUP TIME TO BE ACCURATE AT ALL, AND YOU NEED TO HAVE THEM GUARANTEE YOU A PRICE SO YOU DON'T GET UP-CHARGED ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR STUFF.

I originally reached out to Global Moving LLC with very short notice on my move, and they were very accommodating. I ended up delaying it for a few weeks and again, they were very accommodating. However, once they moved from SALES to customer service, the quality DRASTICALLY decreased. They asked me for a three day pickup window at the end of July, I told them(Christie Strong) August 13-15. Absolutely no communication up until August 13,

When Doug Pihlgren called me to say that the pickup will actually be on the 16th (not abiding by my three day window). This was unacceptable due to my schedule, so we rescheduled it to Monday, August 17th. Doug told me that due to the inconvenience they caused, they would pickup on 8/17 early in the morning (8-10AM), and do a direct delivery on 8/17 at night. 8/17 rolls around and I am waiting on them to give me an arrival time, absolutely no communication. I called Doug and Christie (literally) more than 20 times on 8/17 and maybe received 5 answers, and each time they simply could not tell me when the driver would arrive for pickup. I also emailed and texted them multiple times, imploring them to call me back. As I said before, when I was a prospective customer Christie and Doug claimed I could call them anytime and they would answer, then the DAY OF my move they just did not answer. They revised the pickup time to 11AM - 2PM.. 11AM rolled around and I called again asking for a precise pickup time, needless to say they never gave me one. I ended up speaking with the driver directly and he ended up arriving at my place at 6:30PM! This is 2 days after my pickup window, and almost 12 hours after the first time they gave me. Further, they tried to get me to pay a storage fee since they wouldn't be able to deliver it on the same night .. event though that was entirely their fault. Luckily, I coordinated with the driver, and told them that I would not pay one cent more than the price I was quoted, and I had no problem sending him home with an empty truck and paying any cancellation fees. The driver was much more responsive and clear than the front office and guaranteed me a price, and stayed true to it (shout out to Dmitry!). Further, Dmitry was not fully prepared to pack all of the things in my apt, which were clearly communicated to Doug and Christie well in advance. Such as: wardrobe boxes for my closet (doug specifically confirmed with me that they would bring it, but dmitry was never told) and plates and cups that needed to be packed safely (also communicated to christie, but she never told Dmitry). If I had not told Dmitry that I need the price absolutely locked in, there would have for sure been extra charges that I would've incurred. As you can read in other reviews, they love to sell you on a low price, then upcharge once they arrive at your place and you are left without choices.

Finally, as one last testament to their lack of commitment to customer service..due to the terrible customer service I asked for some type of discount they did not even pretend to care and sent me a $50 dollar refund.. on a $2,100+ move.. this is obviously insignificant and borderline disrespectful, but MOST IMPORTANTLY if you sign that paper for the $50 refund, they ask you to remove any negative reviews or complaints that you may have with the company. They are obviously more focused on sales and having a good reputation than providing good service.

BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU ARE GOING TO ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU NEED TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING THEY SAY TO YOU AND YOU SAY TO THEM SO YOU CAN HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE, DON'T EXPECT ANY DATE OR PICKUP TIME TO BE ACCURATE AT ALL, AND YOU NEED TO HAVE THEM GUARANTEE YOU A PRICE SO YOU DON'T GET UP-CHARGED ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR STUFF.
