My move with Global Moving LLC Charlotte NC was horrendous, to say the least. They had so many positive ratings which I guess are paid responses since the service I had was so bad. After my goods were picked up there was no communication from this company at all other than unkept promises. It took informing them I spoke with an attorney to get them to release my goods which I had already paid for the move in full at the time of pick up as they required as the goods were going into free storage. I called for my first day of delivery on August 4th and 5th for August 12th and finally got my goods on August 30th and the move was not even completed, they left my stuff outside on the lawn and the driver left. There is a list of things missing over $2,000 including a security camera system, fine china, and other miscellaneous stuff. The pickup documents show 81 items leaving my home and the count on items delivered was only 78 and the driver did not count or look at the list of items nor did he have me sign anything when they arrived. I contacted both the driver and the company to see if they would look for any additional items with no returned information. There were little to no returned calls from Doug Pihlgren the operations manager or Christie Strong who did my initial booking during this entire process after the goods were picked up even after repeated phone calls and emails to the company and the individuals. To top this entire fiasco off with this company the driver arrived with no help or equipment to unload the truck. I a disabled and was helping him unload things and called an got an additional 2 people to help him and once they arrived he got in his truck and left with all my things sitting on the lawn to my building. I texted and called the driver to find out what was going on and a day later he called me telling me it was a misunderstanding and he thought he could leave cause I had help another lie. Well don't know about you but that is an incomplete move in my opinion. In my opinion, they should not even be in business. I have filed a claim with their insurance company for the replacement value of my missing goods. The company offered me an insulting offer of $150. returned for what they put me through which is an insult to the quality expected, care of my move, and my integrity due to their incompetency. Not considering the lost items they are are also requesting I not let anyone know how horrible this entire situation was.

They are not taking into account my professional time trying to get answers and contacts as well as the fact the company never finished the move, my costs to get people to move the belongings back into my home for me. I have nearing 40 hours in an effort of dealing with this situation and trying to get people to call me back and answer emails and texts the amount offered would equate to less than the minimum wage. You can tell a reputable company from the irreputable just by their offer – I just bought a kitchen island cart and when delivered had damage. I emailed the company to see if I could get replacement parts and without even asking they gave me back $100 on a $169 purchase – without asking!

I have asked this company to refund 1/3 of my move and replacement value of my missing stuff and they have offered $150 and I have not heard a word from them since. And I am waiting to see what insurance does. I would suggest you look very carefully at the mover you select to not deal with what I am dealing with.

If you want a stress free move go elsewhere. This company stinks. They are terrific at the beginning they fall off when you have questions later. They showed up 2 1/2 hrs late, charged me ant extra $500 at my place took my stuff and then I couldn't reach anyone about delivery. They ended up putting my things on a truck and month early going to the wrong city, they said sorry. I had to find a storage unit and movers to now move my things into my new place because of their mistake. They just don't care. This mistake is costing me an extra $550 and they wouldn’t pay for it. I got screwed!! No returned calls, they are just too busy!! RUN!

I recently used Global for a long-distance move. I have moved no less than 25 times during my military and civilian careers. Some moves were across country, others between states, and still others local. In my experience, Global sets standards for customer service, careful conscientious handling of my household goods, and courteous hard-working movers. Better yet, Global’s cost was extremely competitive – half the price of the big guys. It was true ‘high value for the money’.

The comfort factor of using Global for my move assures me of who I will turn to for my next move. Thank you Global for making life easier during a tumultuous time. Five stars in every category.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2400

If I could give them no stars, I would! I received a quote for an interstate move. The quote Chrissy Strong provided was based on moving the exact same items from another state earlier in the year, for which I provided an estimated weight and size of the storage units the items were currently sitting in. They charged me an additional $2200, held my items hostage, and attempted delivery at 9:30 PM. They were extremely unprofessional once the contract was signed, they seriously damaged my belongings (some beyond repair), requested more money than originally quoted, and then held my belongings hostage. Doug threatened me with a $500 wait fee since they would have to stay overnight.

Global Moving LLC. has no integrity and must be accountable for their unfair business practices, overcharging, holding belongings hostage and for the extensive damage of items. There is over $5500 of damage and almost $20,000 of furniture that needs to be replaced. The only promise they kept was delivering my items within 3-10 days.

You need to look into the fact they these poor kids hired by Global Moving LLC are working and transporting items across the country are working for more than 10 hours a day.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6300

1 day late picking up - 3 days late delivering - MANY empty promises given, with me waiting as long as 3 DAYS just for a phone call - This company is in trouble as they not only do not communicate within their corporate arena, much less to me the customer - Movers came and delivered others possessions to me which I had to constantly deny, they broke many items that they themselves packed

Christie at customer service blamed ME for not reading their contract, knowing full well how busy I was - I did not have time to read their corporate manual when I was buying/selling homes, dealing with other contractors, real estate agents, insurance etc

This was my 56th move in life and KNOW what to expect - Instead, everything that could of, HAD gone wrong, including with Nick, the packer from Chicago running up my bill by $4,000

There is NO RESPECT for the customer in this company as they use contractors who have no experience as their excuse. They have no power over their contractor drivers either. The hide behind these excuses and delivered the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced, period - End of story

The movers also offered me other's possessions, had extreme body odor, stating that GMLLC had not given them money for motels, much less paid them in a timely fashion

They also requested to jump in my pool, which I declined

Long story short, I finally kicked them out of my home at 6:30PM due to the fact that it would be easier for me to finish what they started

And I have 4 ruptured disks and 2 bad knees that I'm walking around with

This company is a lawsuit waiting to happen, from Management on down

Do not use this company for moving no matter how desperate you are to move. Check the Better Business Bureau reviews for the real story to confirm this review.

They say they can direct deliver on the phone but will not commit to a deliver date. They say they will schedule after your First Available Delivery (FAD) which cannily be after they pick up your belongings. They showed up in a rented enterprise truck (Red Flag) a day late and had to make two trip over three days. I was told they were taking to the LA warehouse to be loaded on a real moving truck and then to our home. it has been 30+ days and the "Operations Specialist" does not know when the delivery date will be but is quick to point out that the small print in the contract states they have 30 business days (45 Days) to deliver before a $30.00 a day penalty occurs. They demand cash (Red Flag) or cashiers check on pickup and same on delivery before they unload to confirm if contents are accounted for or damaged. He now states that I am being charged $1700 per month for "Storage" on top of the $17,000 for the move for a 3 bedroom house. I did not request storage at all and requested direct delivery from pickup. I now have to pay extra while they figure out how to deliver my entire belongings. Them moving guy stated that he is from Minnesota and is flying to Chicago for his next move job. That should have been the red flag that canceled this before it started. You will get a low estimate and promises of direct delivery over the phone but once on the truck they double it. I am a firefighter that has been at work for three weeks only to come home to my kids and wife still sleeping on the floor with nothing but paper plates and what we brought in our car. They have drown this review site with fake reviewer so please check the BBB for the real story before committing your life belonging and hard earned money with this shameful excuse of a company. We are now at the point where we might give up on seeing our stuff and just by new stuff for the $11,000 they don't have yet but its hard to put a price on all of your family photos and belongings. Its like getting robbed, slowly, over months at a time, while watching your family suffer each day, knowing your stuff is now held hostage to this horrible company.

To this review site: Please try to confirm any reviews for this company as you are promoting this as a great company, which reflect negatively on your company. It does not take much research to confirm the negatives are real and positives are most likely fake. They meet every red flag for rouge movers under DOT. For the sake of the thousands of families that may be affected by this review site and this so called moving company, please look into this.
