I called 4 other companies and they all quoted HUGE amounts because they knew I had an emergency. I saw the reviews for Get movers as I was on the phone with another company. Called and Dominic said I am going to make sure you are taken care of. I can't even say enough for their customer service so far.

They came at 8a.m. Loaded all house hold goods and was unloaded by 4p.m. Price was very good. Sure would use them again. Very pleased. Thank you so much for rescuing me!

My wife and I have a small furniture business. I called Getmovers and got a great Customer Service person who set everything up within a few minutes for the following day. I got email verification and within an hour.

The following day, right on time the lead team member arrived and walked through everything I needed done. The team of 2 had everything done in the arranged time and exactly as we asked.

I truly am impressed with the service and the concept. I know we will use them again. The cost was minimal and the service outstanding. Thank you!

Highly recommend! I had a last minute move due to shipping a pod across the country and not knowing exactly when it would arrive. When it did arrive, I called around and the first few places I called had no availability. Dominique got back to me after hours and scheduled a move for the next day. They gave me a window of when they would arrive and they arrived right at the beginning of the window. Jason and Alex then proceeded to unload the u-haul and had everything done in 50 minutes! Both of them were incredibly fast and conscious of making sure to unload everything without damage and we're super nice and fun to talk to. Two great guys that I knew right away I would trust with moving everything. I recommend this company with any move you have and will absolutely use them for any future moves.

When I called to get a quote, the young man made sure that I understood the quote. He was accommodating to our schedule and was able to get us scheduled within two days of our request. The guys that packed up our storage unit and unpacked it at our condo were careful with our belongings and very personable to interact with. We had a few pieces of large furniture and lots of boxes. They managed the stairs well with no dings or scratches. Would definitely hire these movers again!!

Terrible movers! This would be the 3rd moving company I have used. These movers showed up 2 hours late and brought used boxes which initially I was

quoted 4$ a box and were not professional packers; rather than put stuff in boxes they wrapped my baskets with cloths in it with tape on my clothes and left stuff in each room in cupboards/drawers/on the floor. By 10 at night they weren’t done. So needed them to come back another day which they quoted me a new quote. The day they were to come they were supposed to be there at 6 pm and called abs in said they weren’t gong to show up until 9pm. No thank you. I hired a new company who was amazing…and they never game me back my 50$ deposit for the second day they were supposed to come. So many moving companies out there do not use these guys! These guys cost me another 1000$

They came highly recommended for a good reason. They are nice, quick, and courteous. We have used them twice, and both times we were shocked at how quick and efficient they are. We were packed and ready to go, but they wrapped all dressers, mirrors, glass table tops, and the couch. As they were bringing stuff in, they checked in with me every time and asked where I wanted them to put the stuff. They also offered at the end to move anything, set anything up, or if we needed their help in any way. Couldn't believe how great of service it was. Highly recommend this company !

A crew including Andrew, Furkan, Alex, and others just moved our items from one apartment to another. They were very professional and hard working. Everything was well packed, and no damages were made. The paperwork was clear and fast. The move took 6 hours, and they were responsive and helpful during this whole time. The whole move from providing us with the rates, and replying to all our questions, to the actual day of the move was done on the highest level. Many thanks to GetMovers.

They were very polite and helpful when I reached out to them. They told me all the details over the phone and sent me a detailed quote. The price was reasonable and there were no hidden fees. They warned me beforehand that there will be an extra charge for my freezer. The movers themselves were very professional and hardworking. Overall, it was very pleasant to do business with GetMovers. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a future move.

This was beyond stressful and the worst experience with a NS business ever. They have not responded to any of my calls or emails since June 2 asking for a solution. I cannot believe that someone could treat a person this way and expect to not deal with the situation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for your move.

First, the movers called at 8:58 am stating they would be late showing up as they had to get more tools and there was traffic. The move was supposed to be at 9. The two guys showed up around 9:30.

Then when originally booking through the head office number, I was informed that the team would properly wrap and protect furniture during move. This however did not occur as a couple of the heavier pieces were only half wrapped and the blankets were taped but falling completely off when in mid move. This lack of properly wrapping led to damages in mid move on the dresser.

In addition to the damage to the dresser, there was also significant damage to the walls and a small damage to the hardwood floor.

Next, one of the team members was not able to lift and move items. My guy friend who was there was then asked to move the items (furniture). The reason we hired and paid $740 was to have professional movers come in and it be efficient and to ensure that the house was not damaged and that someone else did the work of moving. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HELP MOVE ANYTHING. This is down right unacceptable. Your team member, I was told, was not able to lift anything heavier over 130 pounds (with two people) and they are only used to moving Ikea furniture. This is not a good reason. If your company has hired someone where their job is to move items, then a customer should expect to have competent and able workers who can safely move any items. So we did the work for your company!

Then when at the new location I was there way before them and even had a Bell Aliant employee come and hook up internet and leave during the time I waited for them to arrive. Not efficient on time. Only one worker proceeded to set things up- one worker was working while the other (same person who couldn't lift anything in Dartmouth), stood around and watched. I asked him why he was doing nothing and he said "oh sorry we only have one screwdriver"... While one team member was putting the King bed frame together all by himself, the other could have been putting the legs on the couches and getting them moved in place. So the timing on this move was not productive and could have been done in less time.

So overall, this experience was not positive at all. And the lack of responses by email and phone is unreal. They do not care about their business or take pride in helping Nova Scotians. I would never ever recommend this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They did so much damage and it took them almost 12 hours when we had already moved so much on our own. They put a hole in the wall and chipped the wood stairs at my previous property.

Then they scratched the hardwood floors at my new house.

No care was taken and I could see it was not going to go well from the start as they already started dropping bags and furniture was getting banged up.

Everything was turned on its side and dragged.

It took them from 9:30am to 8pm! At 4pm we left the first property and were to meet them at our new house, only 15 minutes away and they showed up 1 1/2 hours later.

We were charged for over 2 hours of breaks. I complained to the company, they asked for pictures and I sent them many. I did not hear back from them and after 2 months of following up with no responses, they finally said they would not compensate because we signed the form that night. I already explained that we were exhausted and stressed and just wanted them gone. HORRIBLE COMPANY!

I've used a moving company before and the Getmovers quality of service is so unsurpassed. Every employee from planning to packing was kind, quick, and efficient. They were also so thorough and cautious! I was only moving to a one room with expensive furniture, and wanted it done properly. Getmovers were excellent! They used plastic wrap, furniture pads, rollers, and my things arrived and were arranged in a perfect condition. If you want to sit back and relax while your move is being done, Getmovers is definitely up to task!!

I recently just used Get Movers and had a great experience with them and would definitely use them again! From my initial inquiry, they were extremely responsive and answered all my questions (several emails/questions I sent them!). I had 2 movers (Denis was one but can’t recall the other movers name) and they were both super efficient and professional. They were careful with all of my belongings and ensured everything was wrapped and boxed properly. This company is very reasonably priced for the quality of service they provide. Highly recommend!
