Professionalism Excellent Customer Service

OMG!!! I couldn't agree more! This moving business is absolutely amazing! I've used other moving companies before, but this experience with them beats the others by miles! Let me share some of the highlights that made this move so exceptional:

1.Prompt and professional communication: Right from the start, their communication was on point. I received my quote, and they kept me informed every step of the way. They delivered on their promises, and I really appreciated the clear expectations they set. On the move day, they arrived within the provided window, and even better, they showed up on the earlier end of it! Talk about starting the day on the right foot!

2.Efficient service: Wow, these guys are true experts! You can tell they know what they're doing. They handled my items with such care and moved everything so quickly! It was like watching a well-coordinated dance. They were so efficient that my mountain of stuff didn't stand a chance; they blasted through it like it was a piece of cake. I was amazed at how fast they worked!

3.Friendly and respectful: It's always a relief when the moving team is not only efficient but also friendly and respectful. Poor move experience, damaged items, terrible customer experience

I don't usually write a bad review for a company but hiring Get Movers was a terrible experience for us and I feel the need to warn others. When the moving truck arrived with a name on it that we didn't recognize, it became clear that they subcontract - so there is unpredictability there and you don't know the quality of the movers you're going to get.

The movers took items to our storage area off site and at that site they pressured us into paying before they finished the job. When we got home from the storage unit we found gouges in our wall, scratches all over our basement floor and extensive damage to our basement door and trim around it.

On the same day, we sent an email with photos of the damage, which they completely ignored. After numerous attempts at getting through to them they sent us a claim form which we filled out, and after two weeks they still didn't get back to us to resolve the issue. So again we had to contact them and when they finally responded they said they rejected our claim because we already paid them. They made us pay them when we were off site and couldn't check to see if there was damage at the house. When we told them that, they again ignored us and haven't bothered to reply.

It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that claims to have great customer service and exceptionally professional staff when in reality they have given us horrible service and damaged our home. The person at Get Movers who we dealt with is Victor Kerr, who didn't care at all about us and treated us with contempt.

Fantastic Experience

What a fantastic experience we had with Get Movers! They made our 2-bedroom house move an absolute breeze. Right from the start, they were quick, punctual, and had such a friendly attitude. And they treated our belongings like precious treasures throughout the entire relocation. It was such a relief to see them handle everything with such care and expertise.

Impressive Moving Team

Moving is the worst, but these guys made it the best possible experience. From the quick response via phone call and a last-minute date change, especially the moving. We had four guys who worked nonstop and wrapped everything with care in a timely manner. We were moving out of a second-story location with no elevator and a small stairwell spot. John and his team were so attentive, quick, and thorough. I would hire them again and again and will absolutely be using GetMovers again. I highly recommend them, especially our specific team of guys with John. Literally the best!

They are really fast, friendly, and professional. I've used them twice so far, and they are very accommodating. They don't try to pressure you into options and costs. All of my belongings were well taken care of, everything was wrapped up nice and tight, and I've never noticed any dings or scratches on my furniture. They are suitable for both long-range and short-range moves.

Beware Unprofessional Company

Movers (2) were unprofessional and slow, not equipped with proper moving equipment to do the job. Hygiene of the movers was unacceptable. Many items damaged, asked to sign off before they left and then found damage afterwards. Compensated $50 for damage totally more than $2000. Beware of using this company and signing paperwork at the end of the job. Would never recommend or use this service again.

Do not use Get movers - scam

Moving scam at its finest. Hired Get Movers to move large items from a townhouse as the smaller items would be moved by family and friends. Paid by the hour and calculated the move to be about 4 hours total (load and unloaded).Three men showed up and purposely were stalling so they could increase the time. Instead of taking the large items that we had prepped for the move the night before and all that was required was to wrap it and load it, they spent time wrapping cushions and blankets and items we told them didn’t need to be packed. One man would wrap, one would watch and one would sit by the truck. 5+ hours later they were still at the first house insisting on making “two trips”. Almost 8 hours in for the day when my husband said he was not paying them for the extra hours they tried to scam out of us, they tried to extort us by confiscating the remaining items left on the truck and driving away. They held our belongings for ransom saying we had to pay for 12 hours of moving before they would deliver the remaining items and before we would be able to make any dispute with the company.We called the police and eventually got our items delivered a week later. This is their tactic… stall; increase the time; force you to pay more than you need to by confiscating your items and holding them ransom while extorting you for money. Don’t hire them!!! But if you do and if you see they are stalling and wasting time, call the police right away or else your things will be held for ransom.

Filing a claim

Get Movers damaged the property that they moved me into. I filed a claim immediately. That was three months ago. Since then despite several e mails, many phone calls nothing has been done to repair the damage.

My e mails are not answered and if someone answers the phone they say they will put me through but don't.

The one Customer Service representative I spoke to told me the Claims Manager does not do his job.

I am left with damage and the cost of repair.

Do not use this company they are a nightmare. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Hired them, they hired another company who was days late delivering, stole stuff, damaged stuff. Get movers said they would investigate and get back to me. Nope no call. I called several times wrote emails. Nope still no call. No accountability.

These guys were great! We moved from Richmond Hill to Oakville and the move was a bit tougher than we have expected due to the 3rd floor apartment having no working elevator. Incredibly professional

Had a seamless moving experience.

All thanks to Getmovers. I had to move heavy furniture, a glass table and some other delicate items. The movers were very polite and fast, and they worked really hard.
