Geo Van Lines

We had a confirmed moving day with confirmation the day before. They had a truck break down and had no alternatives. They cancelled on us on moving and packing day. No alternatives, no suggestions, just "too bad." We still had a few days before we HAD to get out but I never heard from the again when trying to simply reschedule. Confirmation to me to use the big, but more expensive, companies. They wouldn't have left me in a lurch like this. I ended up having to use UHaul myself. Very uncool and unprofessional.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! RENT A U-HAUL AND HIRE YOUR OWN LOADING/UNLOADING LABOR. ANYTHING BUT GEO VAN LINES!!!

We have moved many times and this was by FAR the worst experience. They will get you by sounding nice and organized, but they are definitely not. We have MANY broken items, the communication after they got their money (round 1) was horrible, and to top it off they did not show up with our belongings on the day we were promised....nor on the next day. When they were finally going to deliver they extorted more money (without any satisfactory explanation) and were going to hold our belongings hostage until we paid them. THEN, WHEN THE TRUCK ARRIVED WE WERE ASKED FOR AN ADDITIONAL SUM BEFORE THEY WOULD UNLOAD! The "not to exceed" estimate was exceeded by over $1000. The old bait and switch is in full flower here, folks. To add insult to injury many many things were broken and some were just plain missing. My Christmas tree? Seriously, how do you "misplace" a 7 foot tall tree? Suffice to say there will be an official complaint lodged with the state.

PLEASE, OH PLEASE DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY!

Wow…where do I start. Let me just say this, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. Do not overlook the bad reviews or your gut instinct. They claim they are not brokers but they really are. They get people by not being transparent about the delivery dates…you will not get your things on the day you select. In fact, they make you sign a contract that allows them up to 45 days to deliver your items!! What a joke!!!! It was never disclosed to me that I wouldn’t have my things on my delivery date until money was exchanged and contracts were signed. Even then, I still didn’t know. I didn’t know this until I called them on the date of delivery and was told my things were in storage. The owner Jack was extremely unprofessional and told me “if you are going to complain about my company, have someone else deliver your things” or “if u got a problem with the company, then you got a problem with me”. I really don’t want anyone else to go through what me and my fiancé went through. Please research before you go with them due to “low prices” . FYI, they work under various names such as eco van lines, geo van lines and of course pink van lines. There maybe others. No wonder they switched from geo van lines…go look at the reviews. They screwed so many families over and they should be held accountable. They will most likely try to obtain money through cash or Zelle…there is absolutely no paper trail for cash and any cash apps like zelle, you can’t get any funds back if something was to go wrong. They not brokers but the delivery driver who showed up to my home admitted he does not work for them in any way lol my issue is the transparency. I asked them TWICE if my things would be on time and was reassured it would be. Never told me anything about the possibility of them having your things up to 45 days!!!! Please look at the reviews for geo van lines!!! These people get money by simply not being up front. If anyone was a victim of geo van lines, eco vanlines or pink van lines, save all written corr. I recently spoke with an attorney and he stated we may not be able to get them on breach of contract but you can surely get them on false promises, Misleading statements, negligent misrepresentation, fraudulent inducement. Of course, you will just need the written corr to prove that though. Or possibly recorded telephone conversations. I also expressed to my attorney that I felt like none of the names given were real. I highly doubt the so call manager’s name is Jack lol or the female who handles the money/paperwork is not Cassi. Once again, read the geo van lines and you will see what I’m saying. My attorney assured me this won’t bar victims from having their counsel legally serving the “correct people”. To my surprise, He states virtual addresses and google numbers doesn’t mean anyone can’t find you. It will be a process but cell towers are always there. I highly encourage all victims to look into this. I feel bad for some of these people bc I know the stress these people can cause. I was on the verge of tears when I was sitting in an empty apartment. Good thing is I got my things though Nothing missing or damaged in 4 days. They sent 1 man to deliver and set up my things. He was a sweetheart but I felt bad for him. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many people. I read a review where a man mistakenly received a woman’s dead husband’s urn!!! Unacceptable! They broke a 75 inch tv and offered a settlement of $46 lol shut this mess down or simply make sure no one else does business with them.

THIS COMPANY DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR AT ALL; COMPANY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY HOME BY 8:30 TO MOVE ME FROM ONE HOME TO ANOTHER THAT WAS 65 MILES AWAY. THE LADY ON THE PHONE MADE THE COMPANY SOUND SO GOOD, BUT WHAT A LIE. THE MOVERS DID NOT SHOW UP TILL AFTER 1:30 PM; 3 MEN, AND THE "FOREMAN" CAME INTO MY HOME, PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THEY COULDN'T MOVE MY PIANO, WHICH THE LADY HAD STATED THEY WERE CERTIFIED TO MOVE. HE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL; WANTED TO KNOW HOW MUCH I WAS GOING TO TIP HIM AND HIS MEN, AND HE MADE ME SO UNCOMFORTABLE THAT I CANCELLED THE MOVE THAT DAY. I FOUGHT MY DEPOSIT WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND AM STILL FIGHTING. I WAS TO PAY IN CASH AND WOULD HAVE BEEN ALONE AROUND 9:00 PM AT NIGHT WITH THESE 3 MEN AND TOTALLY DID NOT FEEL SAFE. I AM STILL FIGHTING THEM, BUT BEWARE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY AND ARE DEFINITELY NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY.
