Did business with this company 4 years ago when it was under a different ownership fast forward 4 years latter I solicited their services again for an out of state move. I was sent an invoice and break down of an estimate of how much the move with supplies would cost. I told the booker that I was on a tight budget and didn't want any surprises. He assured me that the final payment would be very close to the invoice submitted ehich had exhuasted all costs plus or minus an hour or two time cost due to number of hours drive to me from traffic patterns. I went ahead and made a deposit. On the day of the move the truck took 5 hours to get to my location. Jamaica NY to Maryland. I had all items boxed and ready to be loaded on the truck the movers dispatched by the company were able to get everything on the truck under 3 hours. The journey to my final destination took 4 hours. The truck which was previously ahead in the journey arrives 20 minutes after I get there because " they had to take a detour"

I get to my address and I was presented with a bill 1000 dollars more than what I was initially quoted. There was now an addition for gas, tolls, tape, blankets and a few boxes used for my furniture. They put a padlock on the truck and refused to offload unless I paid the extra 1000. I called and spoke to the owner about discontent in being misled. He was extremely rude and told me" I don't care" his movers would take my belongings to Jamaica new York and I could get another truck to come pick them up after I had satisfied all outstanding balance plus the extra 1000 dollars and they were not going to be responsible for the state of my items after they left. He would not negotiate. I gave them all I had in my account to satisfy the payment. They offloaded ruined my walls and TV stand and left boxes in my living room after expecting an extra 80 dollar tip each for three movers. This was the biggest business nightmare I have ever encountered in all of my adult life. Please please lawyer up if you will do business with this company. Do so at your own peril.

I first used Fine Express in May to pack and move my belongings from NY to NC. The customer service was exceptional! Lou was so very helpful and knowledgeable and no question was to small for him. After speaking with various moving companies and ultimately feeling nervous to move forward with any of them, it was very refreshing to speak with Lou at Fine Express. The movers were efficient and the delivery was earlier than expected!.Overall, researching and selecting a reliable moving company can be overwhelming and scary. You can trust Fine Express to take great care of your belongings.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2425

I was quoted $1,444.50, which I have in writing, and was subsequently charged $2700 once they had packed up all of my items. Then, after taking possession of all my items and assuring me they could give me a 3 day window for delivery and a 48 hr notification for delivery, as I was not living in my destination location prior to receiving my goods (moving from NYC to Utah) and where I knew no one I could ask for help receiving my delivery, they have been unable to provide any estimate at all. In fact, their dispatcher Ronnie YELLED at me on the phone and their sales guy Lou told me it's "not his job" to help out with delivery. For a move that cost 2x my estimate, I am severely disappointed and frustrated with this company.

Is zero stars an option? Truly a horrifying experience. I got a call 5 days prior to scheduled move date for confirmation. Three days before the date they asked if they could come a day earlier. When no one showed up between 12-1, I called and was told 3-5pm. An hour later a call said they weren't coming at all and would come the next day. The next day I called around noon to confirm a 3-4pm arrival. They said yes but it would be 3-5pm. Fine, okay. Two hours later, I got a call from the company saying they would NOT make it for a second day in a row and could MAYBE come the next day. Mind you, I was supposed to turn in the keys to the apartment the next day. I ended up throwing what I could into 3 suitcases and leaving behind 5 years of memories. This was nothing short of a disaster. I now have to rebuild my entire life after moving from NYC to California with next to nothing. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

They seem very nice an dfriendly to work with but once your goods are picked up and they have taked their cut of te money they do not care.
It took them 5 weeks to get my stuff to Seattle whereas the initial promose was 2 weeks
When they got t Seattle, they provided no flexibility with the drop off. They called me at 4pm aand said they can only drop the goods off later that evening and they had no flexibility
They are crooks when it comes to pricing. My initiial quote was about 1800 but I eventually ended up paying 3000. One of the ways they fleeced me was by saying that their large delivery semis could not get into my location because of which they had to shift my goods to a smaller van and they charged me 350 to move the stuff from their semis to their smaller trucks
Overall terrible experience , avoid them at any cost. At the time of booking everyone seems very poilte and sweet but it only goes downhill.

Stat Away. Horrible company and bunch of crooks who don't hesitate to lie. I used these guys for a long distance moving. First everything went terrific a lady named Beth contacted me, gave me an attractive quote and promised me that I'm in good hands. After pick up day everything started to go wrong. They kept lying about the delivery date and change it every day. Finally the told us that they wont be able to deliver our stuff and that we will need to rent a UHaule trunk and meet them at home depot parking lot to take our belonging. They threaten the they will place our stuff on the street or put everything in a $1000 per night storage if we don't meet them at the home depot parking lot to pick up our stuff and by the way, we have paid for door to door delivery. Thr manager at the office was extremely rude arrogant and kept telling me that he can't do anything about our case. All of these was because they messed up their schedule and sub contracted the work to another company who didn't even care. At the end we had no choice but to rent a truck and get our belonging at the home depot parking lot. SHAME ON YOU !!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I've moved at LEAST ten times with many different moving companies. I can confidently say that Fine Express Inc was the the best experience by far and has raised the bar!
After I requested a quote I received a very timely response and a follow up email and phone call to ensure I didn't have any questions. Eli was extremely responsive and patient with any questions I had. She gave me tips for packing, guided me to tutorials online and ensured I had all the supplies that I needed as well. During the move Fine Express team worked diligently as not to waste any time and were professional, respectful and personable as well. The amount of care that they took wrapping / moving my furniture and belongings was unprecedented! There wasn't one thing I would have changed, my move was as stress free as possible! #teamfineexpressinc.

There is nothing Fine about Fine express.
What should have been a smooth move with no issues, ended up being a complete nightmare led by it’s owner itself, Eli. Customer service and satisfaction is not a priority here. It was shocking how Eli spoke to me about all of the mistakes he made regarding my move. Unapologetic, out of control, rude and unprofessional after me calling for yet again another mistake that surfaced.

I gave an exact list of items to be picked up from my storage, a small move from one state to another. They gave me a quote for 10 hours it would take from picking up, driving and unloading without leaving behind any mess, so they said, which I had agreed with.

Eli told me that the movers would come for the pick up at 9am on the given day, yet they showed up at 10:45am. They decided to bring an extra large truck, evidently unnecessary for my move as they had the list of items. The large truck became an excuse later as to why tolls are expensive. After movers loaded the truck, the driver says that he needs $148 for tolls in cash. I have driven to MD a million times and find that amount outrageous. Eli never mentioned to me the need to bring cash for tolls ever, and I had been in contact with him the day before aside from the few weeks before that. Why these movers don’t have EZ Pass? So I asked him precisely that and the issues it presented since I don’t carry cash, as most people don’t anymore. He gave me a nasty attitude letting me know EZ Pass was too complicated for him so clients can deal with tolls directly. They don’t even carry accurate info regarding tolls to prove to the client the cost! Eli could not explain to me where the number they were charging me came from. He even hung up on me for complaining. Fine Express proved to be highly unorganized. As if that wasn’t disturbing enough, I Had to waste time finding an ATM, for ”tolls.” When I return the driver tells me that my total cost for the move is $1500!
I was given an estimate of $1190 - $200 deposit when I made my reservation, so I should have been charged the rest, $990. Yet suddenly my bill jumped to $1500 + $148 for tolls, + tip for the movers, which I generously gave more than I should have hoping they would take care of my stuff when delivering and cleaning. The driver explains to me that it wouldn’t be $1500 at the end, that it would be less but they have to swipe my credit card in case something happened on the way, and the job would last longer than 10 hours From my original estimate of $1190. Confused, I continue to ask for an explanation as I don’t understand what changed? However the driver barely spoke English and didn’t know the answer. He said I need to speak to the boss, he only follows orders. I literally had just ended a heated conversation within his unprofessional boss making me realize how difficult it is to argue with a thieve. So I waited until my move arrived to MD. The driver then called when the delivery was done and told me I should be credited back $34. I have not received the credited amount, no returned calls on the bill discrepancies Also, the movers didn’t clean up the boxes and wrappers, which the service had been offered to me. I ended up calling yet again and spoke to a woman who didn’t want to deal with me and kept telling me that she was just leaving and to try to tip the movers more money so they clean. Basically she suggested to bribe the movers to do their job. How is that ok?
Fine Express should absolutely not be allowed to be in business. Customer service is nonexistent and the owner leads by terrible examples. They lied to me to win my business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will end up paying a lot more than the estimate they offer and they won’t explain to you why. Unacceptable and unnecessary headache.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1500

We hired this company Jan 27th for a move in February. We had to move our date back by two days and they were fine with that. He confirmed that we would still be on for 8am and they agreed. The day before our move my husband called to confirm the time and they said that they wouldn't be there until 1pm. He said that 8am was the only time and what we had agreed upon. They said ok. Then they called back and said they had a truck stuck somewhere and wouldn't be coming at all. They completely canceled on us the day before we moved a packed 2 bedroom house. Not only did they not attempt to find another truck from their company, they didn't even apologize. Just made excuses and were defensive. Terrible customer service, and the only other company available the day before cost us hundreds more. Still no apology or offer to refund the difference, something which is 100% their fault. These people are not to be trusted.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $150

I would have rather gone for a flat, fixed rate company to move my things. The movers were extremely rude (one in particular), they only care about the money and will do the job as slowly as possible to get paid more. They charged me $119/hr, plus travel time ($119/hr) plus tolls, taxes and fees. I was warned before using them but the price seemed too good to pass. I WAS WRONG. I barely had anything to move, just a few boxes of clothes and one bedroom set. The driver even took a few smoking breaks and kept telling me that they need to take their time to get paid more.

The GODDAMN worse.

Worth every penny!

I've moved a lot and I finally decided that it was time to hire movers. Fine express was recommended by my sister-in-law and they did not disappoint.

From the initial phone call, they were professional and direct. All expectations were clearly laid out, including a quote, hours, and what to do beforehand to make things smooth. It was $150/hr (including transportation time) with no extra hidden costs. What I appreciated most was even after investing in that conversation, they told me to call back if I decided to go with them, after shopping around.

The 3 man team, led by Doan the Forman, arrived on time and we began right away. These men were truly amazing with their speed and dexterity. It was so hard to just stand around and watch them, but honestly, we were exhausted from just the watching.

After coming in 2 hours under the quote, the crew gave me options of setting up certain rooms or assembling furniture. These were extra things I just didn't even realize were part of the whole service. I really commend these men on their hard work ethic and positive attitude.

Long Distance move to Miami, FL from New York, NY.
I must say I am very happy with the moving service with Fine Express provided me. They were able to move my items from Miami FL to New York fast and professional. Lou was a huge help throughout the entire moving process. He was able to provide with an accurate estimate and get move moved within five days. Fine Express price was a little hire but this was because of the extra space they reserved for my items. The price stayed the same and nothing got damaged. I am very happy with the service they provided me. Andy my foremen did an amazing job packing all of my items I was externally impressed.

I have moved before and I had the entire opposite experience. I was not expecting good service so they really took me by surprise. I defiantly will be calling this moving company again if I have a reason to move again. If you are looking for a good company to work with call Fine Express they will do a fantastic job with fast service. They were up front about everything. Give Lou a call he will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and he meets all of your moving needs!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the team at Fine Express. Eli (the owner), Mike (the 16 year veteran in charge of the crew that moved me) and the whole team of guys that busted their behinds all morning in moving did a marvelous job. There are times that it hurts shelling out money to pay a move or tip movers, but not this time. It was worth every penny and perhaps more.

I have moved multiple times - Houston to Mexico City, then back, then Houston to New York - and this was by far the best experience. They didn't stop. The guys were like an army of ants that swarmed my apartment grabbing anything and everything in sight, quickly and efficiently, but delicately if there was a fragile item. They worked so effortlessly, that it was as if my apartment was being packed by some kinds of magicians. That term ("as if by magic") while accurately conveys how un-stressful and happy the experience was, would not give the guys the full credit they deserve. You could tell they know how to work hard and do not stop until the job is complete. Yet, they are cheerful, pleasant to be around and while extremely hard working, had fun with each other.

Thank you Fine Express for making this moving experience so phenomenal. Special thanks to Eli for being so attentive about his customers and making sure they got a happy and stress free experience. You can tell he really cares about making his customers happy and isn't afraid to step up to fix anything straight away. Great company to work with. Customer for life here.

I am usually the one who comes online to read reviews about companies ,but after receiving excellent service from everyone here at Fine Express moving I dealt with. I had to take the time to leave my own review, because of the outstanding job. This move was particularly tricky, as we had a double move due to us selling a home and the new one being remodeled. One into storage and then from storage in the house. Both moves went surprisingly well. They estimated a 4 to 5 hour move on the first move but it ended up taking them only 3 1/2 hour because the guys were quick and skillful. If there wasn't a piece of furniture in their hand or a box they were organizing the truck. The second move took even less time, as they intelligently packed the storage for easy removal. Mike, Alex, and Sonat made moving easy and stress free. It speaks to the volume that they have little negative experiences. I highly recommend this company.

HI, We booked Fine express movers to move our stuff on May 19 between 11:00 & 12:00 .They took a $200 deposit and everything looked fine. They never arrived. We spoke to Loue at 11:30 he said they will be there 12:00 we called again and asked for a contact number from the driver, he gave us a yelling that we're not supposed to disturb his drivers.After arguing for a while he finally agreed to give the number..and the driver told us not before 3:00. we called back Loue to tell him that we're waiting everthing packed up in boxes maybe we could get discount for the inconvenient delay he yelled & knocked down the phone on us..2:00 we called the driver to check the status he said not before 4:00..and 3:30 he called us that he's not coming at all..He had guts to ask us what time we need him tommorow..we have nothing against this company but we want to prevent people from having this horrible experience!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!! They give you a low quote only to scam you at the end of your move. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT! The owner Lou is a great con artist. When he calls you to give you a quote, he is extremely polite and courteous but when they charged me double the estimate amount and I called he was “unavailable” I waited a few days and when he answered he did not have that polite courteous tone, instead he was rude, continued to cut me off and would not allow me to speak. Then told me to have a good day and hung up on me.


I was quoted $516 by Lou for the movers for 4hrs. I was told I would not have to pay any toll fees. The movers arrived at 1230, at that time, the movers explained payment differently, including toll fees, gas surcharge fee, I was given a document that indicated if they received a ticket while loading or unloading my items, I would be responsible to pay the ticket.

The movers finished packing the truck between 230-245. From that time until 5pm they were “traveling” to my new apartment. When they arrived at the new apartment, I was told the total was $981!! I was charged $129/hr from 1230-6, $129 for travel time, $129 for fuel and $38 for toll fees! To say I am upset is an understatement. There is no way to verify what the movers were doing from 3pm-5pm and to then charge me for an additional travel fee when I already paid for travel is ludicrous. The other two charges were not disclosed and when I called Lou, he continued to say the charge was correct I’ve told people this a thousand times, which means this is their customary practice. Moving is already stressful but to have to deal with an inconsiderate and untruthful moving company has made this whole experience a nightmare.

Again, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!

I used this moving company for a long distance move. As expected, the quote did not match the final price. But this is the sketchy part - original quote $913 for 20 boxes. I specifically emailed asking if the size of 24x24x24 was the box size, they said “yes that’s fine.“ In the end my total was $1800 excluding the hidden fee of moving up stairs (yes, the “always free of charge” large print in the quote that includes stairs is false information). I must note I did not have any surprise items - the inventory list was solid. They told me that the price quote was off (by double?) because of the measurements they have in the database (i.e my king size bed was larger than the king size they have in their system). The thing that took me for a loop is that they said the small things add up; however, they told me my large fake plant and ottoman would be free of charge. That never got removed because “it didn’t take up any room” but I thought the small spaces mattered? Anyways, besides getting charged double, there was a funny “miscommunication” as the boss says. Side note: please see the responses to all the negative reviews below and see just how great the company is at communicating. Anyways, I specifically told Mike to pick a day that the movers should take my stuff, in order for them to arrive at a given date. He chose the date. Then when the given date came around and I was told the delivery would be there a week later, they said the given date was their start date - they didn’t even start the trip yet to me. Just so you have a visual - the movers took my stuff June 18th and I did not receive anything until July 4th. The given date was June 26th. I had to spend A LOT of extra money on items that the movers had because I was not prepared for them to take that long. It was extremely clear that the truck was loaded and unloaded multiple times before getting to my destination, so I expressed the concern of my items being lost. And just as I imagined, I have a missing piece. To this day I am STILL waiting for the money from their “insurance.” This is the move that’s just never ending! Highly do not recommend, and I am telling all of my connections. Everything stated is 100% honest, so I’m looking forward to see if I receive any lies back as a response because it was interesting reading the comments back to the other negative reviewers. This company just doesn’t know how to take ownership, and that is never a successful business model.

I am naturally a very anxious person and was dreading moving, having moved 5 times in NYC before. Fine Express was the best decision I have ever made. They moved everything I had quickly and with great care and the entire process from booking to the actual move could not have been easier. You're quoted based on how much stuff you have and the distance/amount of stairs, not by the hour, which I liked a lot better because I didn't feel rushed and the inventory list made me take stock of everything I have. If you have to move, don't hesitate go with Fine !

This team blew us all away! Their commitment to excellence and completing the job made the impossible happen. Our move required work than we anticipated with all the “stuff” we had but it was no bother for this crew. They were gracious as they moved it all on a 90 degree humid summer day. Hats off to these guys. This was the most impressive, physical, detail oriented and overall professional experience I’ve ever had moving. Did I mention they were super friendly? Such pleasant folks in the home and over the phone. I hope this was my last move but they will be the first people I call if we ever have to move again.

Great moving experience. Hardworking guys, polite staff. Good communication, reasonable monetary value, goodness and skilled guys. Nice to work with, efficient & friendly. Would recommend them to friend. Liked the flat fee versus paying per hour. Reliable and efficient - friendly movers and time taken / cost as per initial approximation. Excellent servicing at a reasonable monetary value - the crew worked tirelessly and took good care of our household. They turned up on time and professional. This is the Third time I have used Fine Moving and I have been impressed both meters. This company is prompting and incredibly fine. Kept me informed through the physical process and did everything with ease.

This boys doan hung and mannie were fantastic today.
They arrived in time and packed everything very gently and with great care.
While Doan walked me through the details and paperwork of the process.
There were a couple of small items I forgot to list that they had no problems loading as well.
After they had loaded the truck and left.
I realized forget about my whole closet..ten minutes later Doan and Mannie were back with wardrobes boxes, and one minute later they were gone again.
Very polite, professional, efficient and understanding, excellent team that I would recommend to anyone.
