Excalibur Moving Group

I had just got offered a new job in Arizona, but I currently lived in Pennsylvania and had no time or desire to pack up my apartment and drive all my stuff across the country myself. So I started looking online for some moving companies that could do it for me at a reasonable price. I was also looking for one with good reviews so that I knew my stuff would be in good hands. That's when I stumbled across Excalibur Moving Group, and after doing some research on their site and a very pleasant phone call which answered all my remaining questions, I determined that they were the right company for me. They quoted me an amazing price (way cheaper than other companies I talked to) and got me scheduled right away. The delivery guys went above and beyond in both the loading and unloading of my items, which were in the same condition as I left them when the move started I might add. They made a very stressful time so much easier and relaxing for me be getting all my stuff to my new place on time with no extra hick ups. If your in need of some help moving Excalibur is definitely the way to go. Highly recommended!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2200

I really don't like moving, and this happened quickly and easily due to Excalibur. Having to relocate unexpectedly due to a job transfer, and did not have time to do a lot of research. But Excalibur took care of everything and reassured me that my belongings were well taken care of all along the way. I had to fly to meet them a week later, which worried me but- everything went as I expected, and everything was loaded into my new condo and set up really quickly. Thank you! Will recommend.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $870

Run, run as fast as you can and use ANYONE else. Pods, Estes Sure Move, Drive it yourself, ANYONE. I have had the most horrible experience end to end.

I have written a 4page complaint, but I will leave those details for my lawyer and their customer service. and try to sum up the worst offenses.

-When "selling me" on their services I told them I had a substantially cheaper quote from PODS. The sales person then tells me "You know what PODS stands for? Potential Of Damage." Assuring me Excalibur Moving Group (not to be confused with the much higher rated Excalibur Moving and Storage unsuspecting people will find when googleing) would be much easier and safer
- When the week of my move comes, they continue to delay, day by day, each time telling me "Tomorrow" causing me to reschedule my flight and hotels not once but twice each time at a fee. they picked up my things 2 days past my "delivery window" and three days after they told me the prior week.
-I was told (see the attached text message on yelp from "relocation specialist" it would be 21 days worst case scenario.. it took 25 days with 0 communication
-My stuff sat in New Jersey for 21 of those days..just sat
- When I finally got my stuff there is major damage..the claims form must be printed and mailed. email or fax will not be accepted.

I can't get a call back for anything. at this point it feels my only option is legal action? I don't know what else to do. I paid them $1,400 to be late picking up, late delivering, and to break my things, and I can't even get a call back.

My wife and I had an absolutely horrible experience with Excalibur moving group with our long distance move from Florida to Texas.
1) The sales team misled us in saying that the SAME TRUCK would load up our things, go to Texas, and unload. The sales team said it would take 3-5 days, until we actually started the move and then they switched that number to 10 business days.
2) The movers that picked up our things in Florida came ONE DAY LATE, and then FORGED MY SIGNATURE on the inventory sheet, claiming that we had to pay an extra $900 to cover what they said were additional items. We never signed off on this. Our original quote was by weight and this mover decided to switch this to cubic feet and charge us. He tells us this AFTER HE HAS LEFT our home, and says we will not get out possessions delivered unless we pay the additional amount to the unloading truck driver in Texas.
3) When our possessions arrive in Texas (a full week after we had planned for it to arrive), it looks like all of our stuff had been sent through a trash compactor. They stack all of your boxes over 10 feet high, and pay no attention to boxes that say fragile on them. We have many items broken (chairs, coffee table, wooden chest, countless dishes)
4) Because our move involved multiple movers, truck drivers, Excalibur representatives, etc, NO ONE TAKES ANY RESPONSIBILITY for their failures. They simply point the fingers at the others and say we need to take it up with them.

This experience could not have been any worse. To anyone doing a long distance move, here is my advice:
Rent your own U-haul truck, hire a team to load it, drive it yourself to your new home, and then hire a different team to unload it. This is how I did my first move and it was cheaper, faster, and so much less stressful.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3700

I contracted for a storage move from CA to my new home in NH. Very smooth talking.. but in the end they contracted my move with Logistics Leadership, something I didn't learned until somebody called me for the pick up, and a company that is not BBB accredited and has on the BBB site an "F".. They were subpar to say the least from day one - giving me a picking date and time frame they knew (I learned via the driver) they couldn't keep, while I had to take a day to wait for their non-arrival, and then at pick up the next day the driver was alone, so for a pick up that should have taken an hour it was more than 3 hours.. - and in the end when the boxes arrived in NH they were broken, stained, and 6 of them were missing. The driver and his aids were in such a hurry to unload and leave that they didn't even want to do a double check.. And so far (3 weeks later) no news from my boxes.. Which are books, very valuable to me or to some specialized collector, but wouldn't be to anybody else.. So I can't imagine somebody would steal them.. It's pure negligence and disorganization. It tells me that they don't keep shipments together, they don't take the time to double check when they unload (so my boxes are probably at somebody else's place.. ). When contacted, they give me the usual run around.. (as they did the day they didn't show up: the secretary told me to call her back after 5.. On a Friday night.. of course when I did she was gone and a recording informed me that they would reopen the following Monday).. And the only thing I could get from Excalibur is "it's not us it's them.. " If you contract with Excalibur I highly recommend that you get the name of their subcontractor for your move and inform yourself before signing anything.. that could spare you some nightmares..

This company is the worse!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!! They never showed up to move our stuff . we moved a week later using another company. They cost us a ton of money and they won't return my $ 600+ deposit. They are thieves!! If you think you will get good service- YOU ARE WRONG!! The company has not ever reached out to me and when I call they put me on hold and disconnect. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges but after a while they said they cannot reverse the charges because the merchant will not release it and need to take it up with the merchant that does not want to talk to me since day 1!! Consider yourself luck if you read this and move on to the next moving company!!

Im going to start my review from

Day 1: we still waiting for the movers that supposed to be in our home from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and it's 6 pm and they didn't show up yet.

Day 2: trust the yelp reviews because they are not lies my husband didn't do it, and I tell him about the reputation of scammers of this company. We are still waiting at least for a call from the "movers" that supposed to arrived yesterday. We already have to take a flight how cool is that.

Day 3: they arrived with a rush, the price increase for a 500 more than the estimate. And the estimate that they send you through email magically disappeared, so you can have your own conclusions.

Day 4: they suppose to be on their way to Texas.

Day5: nothing yet no news from them still early, so we will wait..

Day 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,17,18,19,20,21

Today 21 day: I will like to know where my staff are because no signs of them, and they didn't know. So at this point many things going to happen, start form calling the police, and hire a lawyer a good one to dealt with these scammer and fake company.
I'm pretty sure all the reviews are paying or the same employees just post them.

I will keep updating the review until this nightmare ends. If ends some day.
