My friend recommended them to me and I am so glad we went with them. We had a 1 bedroom move across the street and they completed within the minimum 3 hours. It was indeed a great move. I recommend the service to all.

Outstanding movers. I was really happy with the service I received. The movers wrapped everything up and also took apart the furniture. Then they put back the furniture at the new location. Highly recommend using Dumbo Moving for your next move!

Good Job!!

Dumbo is great. They moved us during the blizzards in Feb. Setup was pretty fast and painless, I did their price by truck and got a van. I didn't have much stuff to move, a 1 studio. Overall it took 3 hours. Give them a shot.

Be prepared to pay twice what they quote for late, terrible service

- Arrived hours after delivery window without any advance notice

- refused to begin move and threatened me with poor service until I committed to a $300 tip

- upcharged for phantom services

Go literally anywhere else. This was a HORRIBLE experience.

In February 2021 I moved from New York to Florida. Christine moved my furniture from Brooklyn to my new place in South Florida. He was very careful and efficient with all of my furniture and boxes. Very friendly and accommodating. If you can Ask for Christine to move your furniture and all valuables.

Unprofessional

My experience with Dumbo moving is the worst. Don’t even think about it using them. The whole process is a hostage situation with unending demand for ransom. If you care about your property, stay away from Dumbo moving.

Where to even begin. They were very efficient, professional, and beyond reasonable on the cost. They moved our 1 bedroom apt in 3 hours from start to finish with a 35-minute drive in between. You guys are fantastic!! I will highly recommend using these guys!

Criminal!

DO NOT USE DUMBO MOVING! I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME THE OTHER DAY WAS CRIMINAL! SEE BELOW WHAT I WROTE IN MY COMPLAINT TO THEM:

Yesterday was probably the most stressful experiences and worst days of my entire life (moving generally is but, the additional abuse and intimidation I experienced made this 1000x worse). The person that you employed to facilitate my move behaved reprehensibly. I am not sure if this mover is a direct employee of Dumbo Moving or a freelancer, but the fact of the matter is I paid a lot of money for this move to be handled with care and professionalism and instead I encountered a nightmare situation that wasn’t needed. In order to identify this individual, the details are as follows:

1. The individual’s phone number is either (I protected it for this review xxx-xxx-xxxx) or (xxx-xxx-xxxx) (he contacted me and repeatedly threatened to walk off the job yesterday while I tried to keep my distance from him). Why he felt that he had to threaten me, I don’t know. Perhaps he just did not want to work. He told me that he was Serbian and that is all I know. I was so distraught over this situation that I forgot his name.

2. I am worried for my safety as he has my name, phone number, and he knows my new address.

Details of what happened:

This individual demanded he have access to my unit early to do a pre-inspection of the old apartment and told me that he would not move any of my things unless he received his 20% tip and pulled out his phone to calculate what the total dollar amount would be. He also told me that I had too many items and that he would refuse to do the move. I told him I found it rude of him to tell me how much tip he gets and that he demanded a tip before the job even started. His intimidation continued to escalate as he started to become more aggressive. He then proceeded to swear at me, and declared "bye bye”, I’m not moving and then took off and drove away in the truck leaving me speechless.

I then had to reach out to Dumbo moving directly to ask what was going on and that I paid for a move and the mover threatened me and abandoned me. They told me he was coming back with a different crew based on the inventory in my apartment. He did return with one other person.

This individual then returned to berate and swear at me and again, refuse to move certain things. I told him I had an updated list that had gone to Dumbo but he refused and continued to refer to a much older list from before when I was putting things on and off the list. He started the job and continued to assess what he would move and what he wouldn’t.. Again, I referred to the correct printed list that he refused to accept. He eventually did start packing things up but he was pretty careless with the items and I am worried there is damage—which I have started to review today. I wanted to get the move over faster so I offered to help move certain boxes and items into the truck which they said okay. He then proceeded to use this against me and said I was a “fucker" who was sneaking items that aren’t supposed to be there according to the false list he had (again not the correct list) and that I better not move anything else or he will throw it on the street. Lovely!

I left the apartment as advised by my family and an individual from Dumbo moving and to give them space to move the items and that I didn’t need to be there. I was very nervous because of this dangerous individual that he would either steal or sabotage some items I had. I agreed however and left.

I then received a phone call from this mover, saying that he was done, and would be driving to my new location. I arrived back into my apartment to see SEVERAL items such as boxes, heavy items like my table, TV Console, another TV, and several sets of Dumbells as well as other items. I told him the job wasn’t done. He declared another expletive, repeated " bye bye "and drove off. I immediately phoned Dumbo Moving who advised me they would take care of it. They did not. I had to call back again to get Peter and he eventually took care of the situation and they had to hire a separate crew to finish the job that wasn’t completed and that I would have to tip this separate crew. Again very unfair to me as I paid over $1100 for this move, and I had budgeted only for 20% tip for ONE crew NOT TWO!

I received another phone call from the this abusive individual, that he was at my new apartment and that I was to meet him there or he would simply throw my items on the side of the road. This was terrifying again but I told him I would be there in 5 minutes and desperately biked over to make it in time. He sarcastically said thank you for the 5 minutes and that I better be there or items get thrown on street. I then informed him that I was there and then several minutes later he walked over to observe the new apartment. He forced me inside which was terrifying--

Moving experience - AWFUL!!

I used them in 2015 abd the 2 guys that moved my stuff from nyc to nj were great. BUT when i used them again in 2019 - IT WAS HORRIBLE.ABOUT 90% OF MY FURNITURE WAS DAMAGED AND EXACTLY 10 BOXES OF MY BOOKS WERE STOLEN. TRIED DEALING WITH THEM FOR RESOLUTION...LED NOWHERE.

BEWARE!!!!!!
