Well I have been in New Jersey for 5 years and wanted to shift to somewhere else so I came in contact with Domestic Moving. I loved the people, they are nice, dispatch team was also nice to me and people who came as packers and movers were so good and excellent. Effort was appreciated. The reason we returned is that they offer excellent service at an affordable rate. Also they have been reliable and friendly during both moves. They showed up on time and they hustled to get all our things move, carefully, and respectfully. They didn't just throw boxes around and they paid attention to things like not scratching the walls whenever they move the big things.

Domestic Moving was so easy to schedule with and very clear about pricing. The two-man team arrived on time and got right to work, and barely stopped for a break all day. Our movers were Caeser and Carlos and they were so polite and hard-working. What a great team! We've never used movers before and I was very impressed and highly recommend them. Hopefully we won't be moving again for years, but if we do I would use them again.

Movers were on time, professional, polite, and worked hard. They did a great job stacking all the boxes in the living room, and moving our super heavy dressers to the bedrooms. Not only did they unload everything from their truck, very satisfied and happy with them!

My girlfriend and I were moving to a much bigger place and Domestic Moving Company did a tremendous and mind-blowing job. The movers were on time, fast, efficient and extremely polite. They packed everything nicely and didn’t charge us for extra boxes. Will use them again too.

Not only are they incredibly skilled (experts at disassembling and assembling furniture), they are most importantly extremely courteous and amiable human beings. They work quickly but never carelessly.Would use them again.

I would hire them again for moving

We called movers on a Friday and got confirmed the same day for movers for the very next day and were fortunate enough to get amazing moving crew. They were very nice and hardworking guys who took great care of our furniture and move quickly and efficiently.

Unprofessional, Terrible Service, No Accountability

First of all, I have no idea how my review and the reviews I see here already could POSSIBLY be for the same company. We haven’t even finished the move yet and are already having a TERRIBLE experience.

We hired movers through a company called Domestic Moving. They then contracted the job out to Simply Moving. We were told were moving over a two day window, Thursday and Friday, and that we would get a phone call 48-72 hours before our move with more specific details. By Tuesday afternoon, we hadn’t heard anything, so we called Domestic Moving. Then we finally got a call from Simply Moving, and they wanted to know if it would be possible for us to move on Wednesday (yes, as in the next day) afternoon because they had another drop off in the same area on Wednesday. First of all, at no point in the process were we ever informed that we would be sharing the truck with another mover. I work in housing, so trust me when I say I am entirely too aware of the kinds of creepy crawlers that could be in their stuff without them even knowing that could then be transferred to ours. That’s not to mention stuff getting mixed up, allergies being bothered by any allergens that might be on their belongings that we stay away from, etc. That is an issue all of its own, let alone them wanting us to move the next day. We told them we would prefer to move Thursday or Friday but to let us know if it had to be Wednesday.

Wednesday came, butts were busted to make sure we were ready for Wednesday afternoon. No one called, emailed, texted, anything to let us know. We did get ahold of Domestic Moving at one point, but then they started screening our calls and not answering. How do I know? Because when I called them from my work phone where my name wouldn’t come up, they miraculously could answer the phone. They basically had no advice, couldn’t get ahold of Simply Moving, and just gave us a bunch of BS about why they hadn’t answered and how this was completely normal for an out of state move, but they assured us we were on the schedule for tomorrow. We unpacked our bedding and the medical equipment my mom needs at night. We dosed our dog with the anxiety medicine because we were ASSURED we would be moving on Thursday.

Whatever. Thursday comes. We hear nothing from either company. It’s getting to late morning, and if we don’t leave shortly after 12, we won’t make it to the new place before the office closes to pick up the keys if they’re not there soon. Domestic Moving starts pointing fingers and blaming the company they contracted. We finally get ahold of someone at Simply Moving. Today? Oh no. They won’t be there to pick up our things until tomorrow.

So here we are, Thursday afternoon. Maybe they will be here tomorrow or maybe they won’t. We have to unpack for another night again. We have to dose the dog AGAIN. We have to eat dinner out again. We have to rearrange things with the office again. And no one seems the least bit sorry about the ordeal nor have they offered any sort of compensation. Therefore, I will be blasting both companies all over the Internet as well as filing reports with the BBB. There is no way possible that this is “normal” because it is entirely impractical. They cannot expect people to live in limbo this way, and luckily our new complex is being flexible, but what if they weren’t? They are entirely within their right to deny us the apartment since we didn’t take possession on the agreed upon day. It is COMPLETELY unacceptable, and I will tell the story on every platform I can access until the issues are resolved in a manor appropriate for a customer-oriented service such as this.
