Diamond Relocation

Terrible experience all around. Got a quote and booked our move with diamond relocation April 20th for our May 10th move from Halifax to Ottawa. Mark was friendly and helpful on the phone while booking the move. I mentioned multiple times that we needed the truck to be there on the 10th as we were also driving to Ottawa and had already booked hotels along the way and I needed to be in Ottawa for work starting April 15th. He assured me it would be there on the 10th at noon. I sent a $200 deposit. In the following weeks I sent Mark an email just looking for a confirmation that everything was still in place as this move was very important to me. I didn’t receive a response. 3 days later I sent another email as I was now beginning to get concerned that I had been scammed. He responded the next day with “we have all your information”. No “Hello” no “Thank you” just “we have all your information”. Now fast forward to May 9th at 1pm. Mark calls me. I see his name come up on my phone expecting it to be a confirmation call. He begins the phone call with “hello I’m just giving you a courtesy call to let you know your move has been delayed to May 16th”. A COURTESY CALL!!!! 23 HOURS BEFORE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY DOOR. I explain to him that is unacceptable. We have a 2 month old baby and the move out date of our house was May 13th. He continues to act like he is doing us a favour by calling us to let us know he isn’t gonna to be showing up. I reiterate how unprofessional this is and he then gets aggressive towards me asking me if I want my $200 deposit back and hangs up on me. Obviously there are no other moving companies that will do a long distance move 1 day in advance. So now I need to book a uhaul, pick it up the next morning, load it myself (while my wife takes care of our newborn baby) and then drive it 1500 kms while my wife, baby and dog follow me in our suv. I hope this helps some of you make the decision to book any other moving company. I understand that times are tough in all business but that is no excuse to treat somebody the way Mark treated us.

I have lots of heavy expensive furniture and these guys were so cautious and disciplined in their work. Everything arrived to the new house in perfect condition and they positioned all the furniture inside the rooms until we were happy with the arrangement. They were very patient, courteous and unlike other moving companies we hired to move in the past, they didn't make any unnecessary delay! They worked nonstop until the job was done. Extremely professional and they gave me the most competitive price than the other companies quoted for the move.

Our experience with Diamond Relocation was excellent. Pricing was fair, staff was courteous and professional and they were extremely helpful leading up to the move. On the day of our move, the team showed up as expected, took a walk through the home to get our instructions and worked quickly and efficiently from there on out and handled our belongings with care. The movers were great to work with and did a fantastic job getting everything done for us and actually completed the move just under the low end of time on the estimate. We were extremely pleased with the experience overall and cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone considering a move.

Movers were organized and handled things effectively. They were careful while moving large furnitures and had everything needed for wrapping and protection. You could tell they were professional by seeing the equipment they had for moving. While arrived at the new place, they listened to your instructions by putting stuff wherever you needed. We were so worried about the queen size bed frame since it is so heavy with six drawers. But the team handled it really well. Overall, great experience and effective communications. Highly recommend!
