We didn’t think we were going to be able to find a moving company within our price range. Dependable movers was the only company that was able to make that happen for us. The customer service there was amazing. It didn’t matter what time we called whether it was 7 AM or 10 PM somebody was always available to talk to us whether it was by phone or email. Once you made a reservation deposit we felt much more comfortable. We didn’t have many days of flexibility to work with so being picked up on time was priority. The movers that came were excellent they left no dirt inside the house and no garbage for us to clean up. The entire experience was above and beyond what we expected. The entire experience was above and beyond what we expected Moving is very stressful especially when you have children moving with you but dependable movers made life easy. Thank you again you are life savers.

From the time we started with dependable movers we were so happy with the all around service. First of all the men who came in for the initial consultation were so respectful and explained to us everything! We did not have a question for them because they were so thorough. After they gave us the moving date they came on time and got started. They made sure to wrap our furniture and anything I requested they did. There were no attitudes just professionalism which was great. They were on time with the drop off. And now we are in our new house with no stress because of dependable movers.

First company to respond to your online inquiry. They were an easy company to work with a very down to earth. Not to mention any names from any of the other companies that we spoke to you was quick to talk bad about the competition, not a single word was spoken from dependable movers unless it was about their estimate and what they can do for us. They provide this website to verify their identity and they are length of time and business. They are the actual moving company and not a third-party mover. No damages no scratches nothing missing all amounted to a perfect move.

Dependable movers was able to do what the other movers could not. We needed to be picked up within four days and out of the five other companies that called not one of them had availability to do so. Dependable Movers also made this move very affordable for us. Any discount that they could offer us they gave us they saved us so much money we are so grateful that you were the one that we chose. You did not overwhelm us with phone calls and didn’t constantly ask for money. Gave us all the tools necessary and gave us our space to evaluate compare and make an educated decision. Moving is probably one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do with a company like you in our corner our worries significantly decreased. A great group of men showed up to our home and made sure they move slowly and carefully because our home was sold and we didn’t have time to do last-minute repairs. This is definitely a company worth talking to. They surprised us with their efficiency and I’m sure they would do the same for anybody else. Best move to date.

Dependable Movers was number one on our list from the first day we started getting estimates until the day we finally made our deposit. They are the most efficient company I have ever done business with and I’ve done business with countless companies. I move around part of that so I have many other companies that I can compare them against and nobody is in the same stratosphere as this company. They take the time necessary on every move to make sure you understand the pricing as well as the contract. It is very easy to follow and I promise you do that you do not need a lawyer. I understand that each move is unique and not everybody is made of money. Thank you for all your hard work and positive attitude. Thank you for not bad mouthing your competitors and even reviewing their estimates for us. We will be happy to refer you and in the event we have another move you are our guys.

We had a great time working with dependable movers. We were really not looking forward to the relocation process altogether thank God for this company because will be probably would still be sitting in our living room. The process was the same as most Of the other moving companies and the price was in the same range as well. The deciding factor of why we chose them over the field was because of how progressive they were. We really wanted someone to come out and see our furniture they came up with the idea FaceTime as an alternative. We made sure we took every step that we possibly heard to avoid paying extra money on the final payment. In the end the furniture arrived with no damages and we were not charged a single cent more. The customer service was fantastic if we had to do it again they would get the job.

This actually should be a NO star review. The movers were over 8 hours late to pick up our goods to be moved. Their original truck broke down..we were told. Movers were in a huge hurry to load their truck because it was getting dark in mid-October. During the loading, a box containing my wife's jewelry, which was separate from the move items, was loaded, even though they were told not load it. They were in a big hurry to get back to Chicago. The lead man said so. The lead man asked us when the soonest day for delivery should be and we said in 4 days, that coming Saturday would work. After our arrival in FL and the truck didn't arrive on Saturday, I called to find out that it could be as long 12 more days. Had we known that and that the boxes would be offloaded in Chicago, put in storage and then reloaded to come down to FL, we would have asked them to pull the box before they left. We left the next day for FL, thinking everything would be down on Saturday as previously told to us. On the last day to deliver the two guys and a 53' semi trailer show up again 8 hours late at 6:30 in almost dark conditions. Trailer had no interior lights. My wife and I had to help unload the trailer as it began to rain. After over 3 hours of unloading everything was in the house. There was NO actual checking off of the numbered boxes because the two guys were unloading boxes and putting them in the house. One box actually had 3 red number labels on it. I told the lead mover that. He said that happens in transit. It took about 10+ days to unpack all of the many boxes because the boxes weren't placed in the rooms indicated because of the rain. After everything was unpacked, we discovered that the jewelry never made to FL. Called Julie and Ava and they started to check on the missing moving box. On the 11/25/19 filed a claim because no box was recovered. Since we didn't insure the jewelry with them, which by the way wasn't supposed to be moved by Dependable, so, why would we insure it?. Customer Service rep, Marcus W, told me it was our fault that the box was loaded because we were supposed to oversee the operation even after we told them not to take it. Long story short, we have no recourse and they aren't responsible, but they will replace the missing items at .65 cents a pound. We don't recommend this moving company because everything they did, except collect payments, was extremely non-professional and they took no responsibility for their contracted help's actions.. Told by Julie that it would be a seamless move. They would pack and unpack on arrival. None of that happened and valuables disappeared under their watch, in addition to the enormous lack of communication from Dependable during the move. Caveat emptor.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Unreliable, not communicative, and full of misrepresentations to get your stuff and hold you hostage. We were quoted $3,900 and 7-14 days to move from CA to NYC, the move ended up being $4,600 and 26 days. They promised professional packing and unpacking – not true, the property was in poor condition on arrival and the driver literally asked for an additional $850+ to move/unpack our property. Incredibly stressful experience that I would not wish on anyone. They harassed us to engage them for the move and hustled us out of our money. They rushed in to pick up our stuff and then changed the story once they had our belongings loaded. They demanded the majority of payment upfront, in cash preferably, prior to the move, and held our items in a warehouse. Pressing for an update, they pointed out that they have 30 business days to complete the move. They held our property for almost an entire month with a complete lack of communication. Had we known, we would have not used this company. Do yourself a favor and use another mover.

Our items arrived in bad condition. The furniture was exposed, sofa deformed, ALL of our carefully packed boxes were DESTROYED, kicked in, frayed and tattered, with our items quite literally spilling out of the boxes. No boxes were in box-like condition, all were smashed. There was only ONE person doing the delivery and move. He refused to pull his truck into a loading dock intended for trucks. When our property finally showed up, he wanted to charge an extra $850+ to finish the move, including putting our actual things in the unit and unpacking them, and he demanded cash or money order on the spot (a Sunday morning at 9 a.m.). We declined and our stuff was left on the curb. Two days prior the driver called and said that we owed almost 3x what was owed. I confirmed the remaining balance with dispatch and then called the driver and he confirmed the correct balance with him as well. Yet, on delivery he again asked for the 3x price that he tried to ask for on his first call. Luckily my husband had a voicemail from dispatch and we were able to get him to unload our stuff for the correct price. We unpacked and moved our own furniture despite paying for a full move. The driver simply pulled up to the curb and dumped the stuff on the curb (again ONE PERSON TO MOVE OUR STUFF), but we were not going to pay an additional hidden $850+ in cash for this robbery.

Do not get confused by the “good reviews” if you look carefully, they are clearly fabricated. Pay the extra cost for a reputable moving company with good reviews because you will end up paying that anyway, plus so much more if you use Dependable Movers. Originally quoted $3,900 and the move could have cost us $5,400+ if they had their way and completed the job, instead we completed the move and it cost us $4,600 and an incredible amount of time, energy, and stress. There is not a thing dependable about them. I am filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau, The Bureau of Public Transportation, and the Federal Motor Carrier Association, and any other regulatory body to bring attention to the way this business is operated; I will leave reviews to continue to warn the public.

Our move was set up a month in advance. 1 week to our move date the representative called and confirmed all the details which had not changed since the reservation was made. 2 days laterwe were told by the same representative that we had been misquoted and that they couldn't do the move for less than over double the original BINDING estimate. They practice bait and switch fraud and gazumping. Gazump is defined as raising the original agreed upon price.

In addition to the moving fiasco the customer support staff is dishonest. I was told by the representative that I would receive a call with the tracking number on my deposit refund check. Days later I called again to check the status and the manager told me the check was sent on the 3rd standard delivery and no tracking number was available. I finally received my refund check on the 11th in a USPS express envelope(with tracking number) postmarked on the 9th. Very disappointed with the blatant disregard of customer service.

I needed last-minute assistance with moving from Charlotte to Maryland. I was nervous at first because I had never heard of Dependable Movers. However, after speaking with Jeremy I felt confident that this company was able to supply my needs. The move was from a storage bin to my new home. The price to move from charlotte to Maryland was competitive. The movers were professional and accommodating. The movers put my Televisions together and both beds were put back together. I would use this company again and I would tell a friend about this company.
