Long-distance move from South Carolina to Michigan

Very Good Experience.

Moving sucks and a lot of movers make it worse. These guys honestly do an incredible job and have a great attitude doing it! I used them twice now and have had a very good experience BOTH times. They show up on time, call you ahead of time, the window during which they come is small so you know when to be ready. They are also very reasonably priced. I just moved again last Friday and they did a fabulous job wrapping all of my furniture, moving my giant couch that didn't fit in the elevator up three flights of stairs (!!) and still were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this moving company and would use them again anytime :).

Long-distance move from Madison, MS to Duluth, GA

Stolen money and items.

These people are crooks!! They stole anything of value from me. Kept demanding more and more money. I am have filed criminal charges and will be handling most of this through my home owners insurance and attorney. I will not stop until I am fully reimbursed for my losses. They took well over 25,000.00 in items from my home. The boxes were taped so heavily it was obvious they had opened and re-taped them. Furniture damaged. Broken tv screens. It’s unreal what they did. I thought I was hiring coast to coast. Had no idea they were a broker. That’s ok though Eli :) stripes will look great on you. These charges will be felony. And I’m not stopping until you pay for what you’ve done to me.

Long-distance move from Florida to Oklahoma

My moving experience.

Im going to start by First thanking David and Goliath Moving. They definately Nailed it on this move. I had to relocate back to Oklahoma because of my sick Mother and the stress of that and Moving was so overwhelming. So I filled out a online survey on a website and was bombarded by phone calls and David and Goliath Moving was the last one I spoke with. I was giving the run around by plenty of companies but when I spoke with Joseph I felt a sort of relief. He explained everything the others did but he seemed alot more confident and knowledgable of the industry. I needed David and Goliath Moving to do everything Last minute because of this such short notice of moving and they did Almost perfect. When I say almost pefect , perfect would be a free Move. So to sum it all up Everything they said would Happened and the price was kept in my budget as promised. They are moving my sister as well and I know they will do a great job as well. THANKS AGAIN David and Goliath Moving.

Long-distance move from Indiana to South Carolina

John.

When looking for a moving company do not use David and Goliath Movers. They were the worst nightmare I have ever had to experience. It started with Jennifer and James selling me on how great the company was and how they would take care of everything (they both lied to me). But that’s where it ended, once they had my deposit, from that point on it was the most stressful experience. They came to my house 2 days later then what was committed to move my furniture. The truck they drove up in was only a 26 foot trailer which was not large enough to take all my furniture. I was forced to leave 25% of it at friends and neighbors until I could come back and pick it up at a later date. There were only 2 helpers to move 75% of my furniture, and it took them over 14 hours to pack the truck. It then took 7 days to deliver my furniture to a destination that was only 10 hours away. When they finally showed up, I was forced to pay an additional $2,000 before they would unload the truck because the quote they provided me was for 1,500 cubic feet, and I had 2,400 cubic feet. ( How do I know how much cubic feet of furniture I own, they were supposed to know that) When they unloaded the furniture, two items were damaged that I am still fighting trying to get compensation. Do not use them, even reputable insurance companies do not have them on their approved list. I tried to get additional insurance but 3 companies stated they do not support them (I wish I knew that before I was locked in).

Long-distance move from Indiana to Georgia

The worst experience ever.

My things were picked up right outside of Chicago on July 6, 2016, headed to Atlanta Ga. The movers JUST arrived today July 23! The movers were ok both times but as far as management, they're the worst! Lack of communication, hidden charges. I was booked with them through moving apt which did not explain they would use a third party, my entire moving experience has been awful and I would r recommend either company to my worst enemy. Awful awful awful! Do not use either company!

Long-distance move from Georgia to North Carolina

The worse! Don't disregard these reviews.

I have moved locally and long distance many times. This was the worse move ever. They are an awful, unethical, unprofessional, unreliable company. Not one time did the movers show up with a David and Goliath moving truck. They tried to overcharge me when they picked up my furniture then tried to make me pay more than was originally agreed to at pick up. They took over a week to deliver my furniture for a 300 mile move only one state away, for which I was told would only take 2-3 days, and they never refunded me for an additional charge that shouldn't have been charged. They are the worse! Run away from this company. You will be sorry. They should be reported to the BBB and the Attorneys General.

Long-distance move from Illinois to California

Do Not Use David And Goliath.

Beware of AAA Moving and Storage! From the beginning it was a mess. We planned to move from Chicago area to San Diego, California. My husband spoke to a man named David to get things started. Ever the sales man he made him feel like going through them would be the best move. Worst decision. We packed and called AAA a few times to adjust our inventory, we wanted to make sure we were accurate as could be to avoid any over charges. We have a 17 month old and another baby on the way, so hidden costs was something we did not want to deal with. Once the movers showed, they loaded the truck, and made the call to their boss to finish it up. Here's where it starts, the guy that loaded it even warned us that his boss was going to try and charge us more. Sure enough, $700.00 was added!! And for what?? My husband got on the phone with him and he could not explain why there was additional cost. Tried blaming it on extra square feet, nope, we were under. Then tried blaming our bikes?!? What? Then the guy hung up on my husband. Found out AAA contracted these people from the company David and Goliath. The worst customer service ever. We had to call Chris a manager from AAA to deal with this company they hired, because it absolutely did not seem right for us to do so. So finally they got to a number and my husband agrees to pay the full price then and there. ( in the contract it states pay deposit when they pick up, and final cost when delivered) so that was already breaking the contract by making us pay full price. They left with the truck and we left to drive across country. Then David and Goliath started calling and harassing us about an address that needed filled in. It was for the credit card information, and stated on the form to right an address IF DIFFERENT. Guess what it's not different!! But the kept calling and telling us it needed filled out, when their workers also told us not to fill that out. So we had to stop and pay money to get this form filled out when we are driving across country. Again this was David and Goliath hired by AAA. We called AAA to tell them what has been happening and they didn't seem to concerned. We arrive at our new home, we call to get an ETA of delivery. Found out they didn't ship our things until August 5th when they picked it up July 28. They held it hostage for what? So upset with this we call AAA AGAIN. They contact David and Goliath but nothing is done. Upon calling more I'm told 7-10 days. The stress of this made me sick because I'm pregnant and the way we were being treated was awful. My husband calls and speaks to a guy named Julius. He assure us that things will be taken care of and that it will be delivered, okay, when? So I call and Julius went on vacation so I speak to another manager named Jason. Who informs me my stuff should be there in two days, I'll get a call from someone. Two days go by. Nothing. Call back, get Julius, he explains to me that the Jason guy was filling in for him but he doesn't work that department ( previously when I called a girl told me Jason was above him, lies) so this Jason guy was reading notes off of something. So very very upset Julius tried his best to resolve the issue. The damage has been done. Our stuff finally arrived August 16. Many boxes smashed that had fragile wrote on them, scratches on tables, missing/stolen water dispenser for five gallon, I haven't even opens my boxes yet I'm so nervous. AAA Moving also states that there is a free 30 days storage, they didn't inform their contractors, when we mentioned it to them they looked shocked! When we told AAA about that they said "oh that's a problem they don't know". Overall, terrible, worse experience I've ever been through with a company/ies. I would never suggest AAA Moving and Storage, they contract people out who do not care about your belongings, only money.

Long-distance move from Virginia to New York

Do Not Use Them!

David and Goliath was subcontracted by Best Movers of America (another terrible company) to move my small shipment. They came over 7 hours late to pick up my shipment. Everything was wrapped nicely. I did not hear from them again until 13 days later when they scheduled my delivery. Again, the truck came over 7 hours later than the time they said they were coming. They subcontracted my shipment with another company (no markings on truck). My boxes were smashed, ripped open and my belongings were all over the truck. Some of the items in the boxes were missing. The items that were wrapped were no longer wrapped and there was damage to furniture. Pieces of furniture were missing. The driver was alone and said he needed help to unload the truck. He stood in the truck and watched me unload and carry the shipment into my apartment. I asked him to help me with the couch and he did. He complained the whole time and said he was losing money on this delivery. He told me I was lucky I didn't leave the shipment on a street corner in the Bronx.

Do not use this company. They are unprofessional and their customer service is rude.
