Very very very very very very worst movers with unprofessional team.
I hold of to write this review for sometime because I was waiting for some response on my issues and claim for damages. But did not get any proper response for my issues somehow got my claim after long struggle.

I ONLY have issues to say about the move. I could not see anything positive with this unprofessional team

To start with, Estimate provided by them was a cheap trick to pull me for the business. In spite of repeated request (I also sent photos of all big items in my house) to check all the items and provide a nearest estimate, they did not even care about it. They just increased few dollars every time and told me that everything is good. So I thought only a little difference would be there in the amount when they come for pickup as I already provided information on all big items in my house and only number of boxes will differ.
They did not come on the date mentioned for pickup… also no one did not care to inform me that they will be coming next day. I had to call repeatedly to know this. Also people who attend the call was less caring.
Moreover I was told to provide a non refundable deposit before the move which I didn’t realize was a trap until the movers came to my house for pickup. The estimate they provided me was $2200.. But what they charged finally was $5300.. How this much difference would come even after I providing all the big items on my house. They really made me frustrate to the core
Packing was not good and they did not assemble any disassembled items on delivery. Then we had to fix everything one by one. Then why I need to pay for unpacking ?
Another mover came to my home, checked all the items carefully and gave me an estimate of 4700 including my car moving. But because of this company's wrong estimate and last minute threatening I had to pay around 6100 including my Car. Total waste of money and I was kept in tension and frustration until last moment. I was attracted by the low rates provided which I realized is a cheating.

Also they told me that I need to pay initial deposit through check, then next payment of some amount while pickup through credit card and remaining while delivery as cash or card. But this was not correct. The driver who came during pickup literally threatened me that only if I give cash he will pick the items. Since that was my last day in that place I had to accept for everything that company people told (basically threatened). So I had to lend money and got cash to give it to the driver because I did not plan for it. I thought I can make card payment.
When I called them that day asking them to help with this credit card payment no one took responsibility of helping me. The person who gave me estimate and got me in to this trap also did not do any help for me.
Totally unprofessional people involved in my move and made it a very very worst experience

Don't believe if anyone review says this company's move was best - it might be their own review to promote them.

Also for delivery date I had to call repeatedly to know when they are coming and that was also one day late
Totally it was a very worst move and nothing was done as promised . Also many items damaged and lost a expensive head phone

I got my claim for damaged items after 10 months after repeated calling and emails. If you try to call them 100 times they will pick once and pretend as if they are very busy and make you wait, also not respond with patience.

I was working with Darren rep for Crown Van Lines. Crown Van Lines was suppose to come on February 4&5, 2015 to pack my things on the truck.
Well I received a call from dispatch (Liz) on February 4, stating she called me on February 3, to confirm for February 4. I didn't received that call. I talked to my rep Darren that day he never mentioned that dispatch was going to call. Liz from dispatch argued back and forth with me which was very unprofessional. When I spoke with my rep Darren he told me that he was going to see what he could do. Well I had to text Darren and he told me that it was going to be 8:00 am on February 5. I sent Darren a reply back explaining how this has inconvenienced me. Darren replied back okay, and told me that he would call me well I never received that call. On February 5, the truck did not show up at 8:00 am like they promised. Once I paid my deposit the company started showing their true colors. Crown Van Lines customer service is very poor. I see why they have an infraction on their DOT report. Word to the wise do not use this company for your moving needs.

Company is extremely unprofessional. Delivery was almost 2wks late. I was nickeled and dimed and ended up paying over $1,000 more than my original quote. I was charged $100 extra for the company to properly wrap my sectional, tv, and dresser and they were all delivered damaged. In addition, I was charged a long-carry fee at delivery even though my apartment community is relatively small, has an elevator, and I live on the 2nd floor.  I was told that they would only deliever my items to my apartment lobby if I did not pay the extra fee. In addition, my entertainment center, stainless steel trash can, and vacuum were also delivered damaged. One of my pieces of furniture is missing. At delivery, one of the movers asked if I wanted to make extra money and asked if I still had the check for the first half of my bill and said "F**k the companies. Let's split it. It's not our problem if they don't get paid."  Company didn't thoroughly explain insurance policy which they say only covers $.60/lb, which amounts to nothing.      I was told that I needed to file a claim and it would take up to 120 days to process. I did so and got an email nearly a month later(in February) saying that they had received my claim. Here it is almost June and I have yet to receive any type of follow-up or reimbursement. I've called several times and there is never anyone available in the claims department. Each time I leave messages and am told that someone will contact me to follow-up but no one ever does.  I'm starting to feel scammed. There is no reason why it should take almost 5 months to get this resolved. I have avoided taking legal action but I'm coming close to it.   Save yourself the headache and money and go with another company.     .

Ethel and I were very pleased with the professional and prompt move by this carrier..they took are stuff right away and transported without damaging are fine furniture ..the haul was from south Florida to denver , the mile city and we were thrilled to get everything in under seven days..Bill Nixon handled everything from inital calls and contacts and coordinating the pick up and deliverary..ethel and I would not hesitate to work with bill and crown in our next move and of course we will recommend them to our friends and business associates.

We had an absolutely horrible experience with Crown. 1. No integrity in cost quotation process ---- we provided an accurate description, dimensions, and photo for each piece of furniture and received a "binding" quote of $1100.  When the driver arrived to pick up the furniture, the price was increased 77% to $1950.  Crown did not responded to multiple emails requesting an explanation for the price increase.  After repeated phone calls (with no return phone calls), I finally spoke to a manager who promised to look into a price adjustment for us.  She never called back. 2. No communication on delivery date --- we were told by the Crown salesperson that our furniture would be picked up in FL and  immediately shipped to IL, arriving in about 5 days.  Two weeks later, we were still trying to get an estimated delivery date.  After repeated phone calls, I was told the furniture should be loaded for shipment in 48 hours, at which time we would receive a phone call with an estimated delivery time.  Eight hours later we received a phone call from the driver telling us the delivery would be made the next morning at 8am.  This left no time for us to adjust work schedules to meet the driver. 3.  Water damage ---- 2 pieces of furniture had significant water damage.  The estimated repair cost is $1260.  We are filing a claim with Crown and hoping for reimbursement.

I could tell this company would be amazing right from the start as I felt a sense of trust over the phone from the beginning. Everything was handled in a very very professional manner and there was no pressure at all like most companies i've seen. My wife and I were happy with the move it was great and they did everything very well done. IT only cost us about 2250 for the whole move and we really expected it to be more considering the amount of junk we had to relocate. But crown van lines did their job to the tee, my wife and I did not have to help them move anything as they had plenty of help and if we had to move again I know my wife and I would not hesitate to call them again. crown van lines, if you read this, thank you for everything!

Born and raised in ohioe but it was time for a change. I grew up here in ohio left home to go to school at Ohio State but then it was time to move on. I got into a school in Texas for grad school. I had to move my 2 bed apartment and went online and was looking for good prices and credible companies. I got so many calls the first week like I won't he lottery and it was crazy so I just turned off my phone for a day. Went through some emails and then next thing I know I'm coming across the guys at Crown. They were professional and never pushy like they wanted to me to make a life or death decision. Then I made the choice to commit to movingwiththemand so after my deposit I got a call from billing and dispatch and next thing I know all my stuff was picked up and on its way yo Texas. These people amazing!!

Quoted me 1800 then while they were packing my things changed it to 3600 kept yelling at me to get him 1000 in cash and write the balance of 2800 out to cash before he could move the rest of the item. They scratched so many of my items and lost so many of my things. There is no customer service they never answer and when thy do they are rude and short and never had any answers. Also I had about 2600 dollars worth of either missing or damaged .. Don't use this company trust me it will be the worst mistake of your life !!

Besides the fact that delivery times were longer than promised my stuff was supposed to be picked up between 11-1 and they didn't arrive until 7:30 pm.  Was told they would be in Crown truck and wearing uniforms.  Arrived in Ryder truck, no uniforms.  Driver wanted an extra 150.00 saying I was over before even looking at what I had.  He was rude, never let me finish a sentence, bullied and made fun of me (neighbors witnessed this).  Told his workers I was crazy and threatened to tear up my check and take my furniture off the truck.  Didn't want to give me copies of paperwork.  Delivery was supposed to be 10 days max and didn't leave state until 10th day.  Delivery in Florida went well, and that driver and workers were good.  Had to call the company practically everyday with very few return calls to get it delivered.  I also have noticed looking down through the reviews that some of the bad ones (including my neighbors) have disappeared.  I would not recommend this company.

I recently used Crown Van Lines to move from Manhattan to Miami, Florida and I have nothing but good things to say about the move from start to finish. They were honest, professional and respectful from the get go. The quote was very accurate to the total moving cost and they were very efficient and right on time with all of my things which made the whole moving process very less stressful. They also carefully packed up my things upon delivery and unpacked them at the time of the arrival and to my delight and almost surprise everything was in the exact same position as when they had first packages it onto their truck. In conclusion I just want to recommend this moving company to anyone who trusts all of your family's belongings to the care of someone else. Thanks again Crown Van Lines!

I am so glad that I picked them to help me move my stuff. Some moving companies are so irresponsible. They break your things, then never want to take responsibility. I move about once every year, so I deal with movers a lot. With my career and how much I need a good moving company on a regular basis, I may just get an extended membership with these outstanding transport helpers! Their prices aren't bad either. I ended up paying a little bit less than I originally expected. Plus, they showed up on time and there was no waiting around and on my part. They were already there when I got there! The service itself was just $2,000, and we were moving over halfway across the country, from Florida to Colorado! Most people don't travel that far, so I know they'll get even better deals than we did.

Crown Van Lines is a spectacular service. This is the only service I will ever use should I ever have to move again. I had to move from Florida to Colorado for my work. I thought I was fine with this but as it turned out I wasn't. I was feeling homesick even before leaving home. I started having anxiety attacks the day of the move. The staff from Crown Van Lines caught me hyperventilating into a paper bag. I was so embarrassed! Lucky for me the staff was very supportive. The staff from this company was professional and courteous anyway. I was very impressed with the price. It is only $2000 to move from Florida to Colorado. This is excellent. If I had been moving from Boston to another part of Boston It would have probably cost $2000 to drive around the block! So all in all stick with this company. I was very pleased at the smooth transition I was able to make. So use this company alone if you:1. Want the best service for the best price. 2. Have a courteous and professional staff. 3 And if you want your mind and well being at ease during a stressful time.

I have moved multiple times in my life and this Last time I used Crown Van Lines and it was the best ever! The amazing crew showed up on time and was ready to go as soon as they got there. They were fast but not cares about packing the boxes. They really cared about each item so all my stuff would fit but also protected. They were very respectful men who knew that this move was important to my family and we don't want to have to replace things due bad packing so they made sure all our stuff was very safe.The cost was $2000 and I thought that was superfair for all the hard work they did. We moved from Nebraska to Colorado and this was the smoothest move yet. If any one I know where moving I would definitely encourage them to use Crown Van Lines because I know they would be taken care of. This company will always be my moving company they are just amazing all the way around!

My parents were trying to retire and they asked me and my brothers to help them with the move. They were going from New Jersey down to South Carolina. I wanted them to be assured that we would handle everything so I looked around and was bombarded with numerous phone calls and emails so I looked into all of them and found this company and they have the BBB accreditation and it was a plus to know that I wasn't going to get scammed by a broker or someone of that nature. Their price was good and their service was outstanding.

When my sons dad was offered a new job in Connecticut we had to find a moving service and fast. He contacted Crown Van Lines and they were so excellent! They were so professional and organized compared to other moving companies. They labeled and packaged everything and NOTHING was damaged at all. They are very organized and tagged everything so we had no guess work when unpacking our goods. They set up everything at the new apartment, furniture and all. We just had to unpack some boxes, which was a breeze because how great they packed everything. The movers were excellent as a team and are so professional and pleasant.  Super fantastic, very professional service for a little over $2000. Was so worth it to us! I would definitely use them again in the future if we ever have to move again.         .

We agreed on a reasonable price and I had them stop by my place to pick up the stuff. They ere very professional about how they did it and no objects were broken during transit.
