I was blown away by the way they handled everything. I called them up and they were professional from the moment they answered the phone. Janelle was very pleasant over the phone and understood my needs. It's important to have efficient yet careful movers, and they were both! Two guys showed up and made sure everything was packed appropriately. Then they went away with their business. Not a scratch on anything. I have had movers in the past that seem to take forever but these guys did the most with their time. Thanks for a painless move!

Moving has always been difficult, stressful, and exhausting. I have moved multiple times, all over the country and I have had a wide range of experiences with moving. Working with Cross Country Moving made everything straightforward and easy. I was moving from Pennsylvania to Florida which was already stressful and I had to get moved in as soon as possible. I had reached out to other companies without success. Cross Country Moving is a hassle-free experience that I would be more than happy to use again.

These guys were super professional to work with from the start. I had explained my time constraints to the representative on the phone and she was very accommodating and said that they would be able to work around my time table. The guys came by and was well informed about my time window and moved all my furniture and antique pieces with so much care. I couldn't be happier with them. Everything went smoothly and it was actually an enjoyable experience unlike my previous moves. Thank you so much to making this trip stress free.

We called Cross Country Moving Group in a pinch and they were able to schedule within a couple days. Given the limitations placed upon our society, they came to our rescue! Yes, it was costly, but the move was faster and very smooth. Guys were friendly and knew what they were doing. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing moving assistance. This company is wonderful. The bidding was fair and we were able to cut the cost by about half by moving our small things ourselves. The moving guys are fantastic and Cross Country Moving Group took care of a minor repair to a tile table. We received a call from the repairman who cam out twice to make the job perfect.

I moved from Michigan to North Carolina. My stuff was picked up on June 7th, and when I arrived in NC on June 15th (the expected delivery date), I was told my stuff would be delivered by the 17th or 18th. Today is June 18th and when I called to check in on the delivery again, they said "we never told you that, but it will be delivered by the end of the week". I've been living in empty apartment going on 4 days now. No explanation for the delay, no apology or discount for not having my stuff at all. I am beyond frustrated and irritated at this point. No issues with the pick-up itself, but this has made my whole experience with the company unsatisfactory. I'm getting uncertain answers and poor customer service. They keep telling me "the driver will call you with an estimated drop-off time".

Overall, this has tainted my entire experience with them. I am getting no answers at all and am living in an empty apartment in the meantime. Terrible experience.

I’ve made quite a few long-distance moves and didn’t have a good experience with any of the relocation companies I hired to move my stuff until I chose Cross Country Moving Group. It was easy to get an estimate over the phone and the customer service on the day of the move was great. I usually get cranky and anxious when moving across the country, but this time my experience was almost completely free of stress thanks to this outstanding relocation company. Its good reputation is well-deserved!

I would like to thank Cross Country Moving Group for making my moving experience as close to stress free as possible. Everything was handled promptly and professionally: Packing time was efficient, and delivery to the new address was seamless. I appreciated the updates and great communication throughout the process and felt very confident about the move. These guys seem like they have done this a lot and know what they are doing. I am not a fan of the moving process, but they made it all seem so easy and painless. I hope I won't have to move again soon, but I will absolutely go back to Cross Country Moving Group again in the future.

(2) Simplified Moving Solutions of Dallas, NC (SMS), 3 movers came, with Russell as the leader who collected the $1489.91 credit card payment, initially asked for cash payment:

8/22/2019, this moving company was sent by CCMCI. The movers arrived and loaded my belongings and charged me $1489.91 and was told that the money CCMCI took from me was their own commission, so I must pay SMS separately.

8/26/2019, the SMS moving company didn't arrive as scheduled.

I received DISHONEST phone conversation between the SMS Dispatcher and the CCMCI Manager, Tom (Thomas Mcgarry). The former said CCMCI already paid SMS a portion of my $1697.28 and the $1489.91 paid to SMS through Russell was the continuation in the moving process. On the other hand, the latter said $1,697.28 belong to CCMCI business because "ALL interstate moving companies need brokers".

They held my belongings as "hostage" which made me feel threatened, and exacerbated my high blood pressure and other symptoms caused by the emotional stress and torture.

9//11/2019, the two movers arrived with my belongings but was again asked to pay $1389.91 using "bank cashier's check" this time without telling me in advance, so they waited until I came back from the bank to unload. Those movers were not the same people who originally loaded my things in NC. At any rate, the Simplified Moving Solutions movers (from NC or NJ employee movers) scratched my Kenmore Elite washer and Samsung dryer. esp the front load glass mirror doors, broke several wooden furniture, missed some items including my wall family picture.

Broke my belongings so I notified. the CCMCI Manager name Tom via text messages with attached pictures. I waited for his response on how to handle this matter, but to no avail after getting all of my payments.

Total Paid to CCMCI = $ 1,697.28 ($1247.28 + $450)

Total Paid to SMS = $ 2,879.82 (1489.91 + 1389.91)

Overall Total Paid = $4,5771.10

Total Miles = 589 for one bedroom move, the only heavy items were the washer and dryer

I gave away ten (10) of the 29 items listed originally from the CCMCI contract because SMS didn't pick them up since its truck didn't have enough space. Thus, my total price should have been reduced because the estimated cubic feet volume was also reduced.

One of the two moving companies (1) or (2) mentioned above owes me a refund for overcharging me and I don't care which one. I just want my money back either $1247.28, $1489.91, or $1,389.91.

I took notes on this sequential move and now that my health is back, I have decided to send this review and report both companies after getting the steps on what to do against their unprofessional and unsympathetic actions.

I had to move in a very short period of time due to Co Vid and they were able to accommodate me quickly. They by far quoted me the most reasonable pricing out of all of the companies I contacted. They were extremely friendly and professional and really made a terrible circumstance bearable. I appreciated that they took their time with my belongings and all of my stuff arrived at my parents house safely. The movers made sure not to leave a mess once they were done and respected all of the things that were already in the house. When I need to move again i'll be sure to contact them!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself jobless. As a single mother with two kids, a 250 mile move from Defuniak Springs to my father's house in Lake Butler, Florida would be no easy feat. I needed immediate moving assistance for as little as possible, and needed everything taken care of. I had no bandwidth to assist with moving while I applied for jobs in a new area and took care of my children. Cross Country Moving Group was the first and only company I needed a quote from. For only $2200, their crew moved everything from my 3 bedroom house to my father's estate. I couldn't believe how cordial and professional the movers were. Cross Country Moving Group saved me from a very tough situation.

I was worried about my stuff being nicked when I hired them, but they melted my fears fast. The professionalism was very apparent right off the bat with the speed of the communication. They were very clean too, which is really appreciated at this time(elderly mother). I didn't have to say anything at all. When all was said and done there wasn't a single scratch or nick or anything to be found. Highly recommend Cross Country Moving Group to anyone need a long distance move. These guys are the real deal!

Moving long distance was honestly pretty scary and overwhelming, especially knowing you have to do it alone and when I realized that I needed help, I decided to call Cross Country Moving Group and I am so glad that I did. They were quick to answer any questions I had, easy to work with and most importantly, everything arrived intact and in perfect condition. I discovered Cross Country Moving Group by chance for a friend moving from Virginia to Tampa. I called them and was pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism and customer service I received. The professionalism continued with their follow up with the family, the packing and moving into the truck (done in one day), and moving them to the other side.
