Cross Country Moving Group

I'm so happy I went with cross country moving group. I've heard so many horror stories from friends about their experiences using moving companies, that I wanted to drive everything myself! cross country moving group proved them wrong. They were fast, organized, and delivered right on schedule. I have a lot of precious stuff and I couldn't believe that they kept everything in tact over the 800+ mile drive. I don't want to have to move cross country again, but if I do, I will for sure be using them.

Is it possible to give negative stars? Honestly, I have never had a worse, more insulting experience than with Cross Country moving. I was so hopeful in talking with Chad Gooch, the front person, who told me in writing that his price was a worst case scenario and that there would be no surprises. Well, my move went from $2303 to over $4000 at pickup, including a $700 booking fee, whatever that is, plus $100 apiece for television boxes because my padded cases weren’t acceptable. Even though my furniture was not that valuable, the movers said they had to shrink wrap all of it for an additional $200. Then, when I asked how long it would take for the furniture to get to Phoenix from San Diego, only about 400 miles, they said 2-4 days. That was Tuesday. it is now Saturday and we have just been told it won’t arrive until Tuesday—a whole week for a relatively short trip. I have tried numerous times to talk to Chad Gooch about the shortfalls, and he has not returned calls or emails. I recognize that they contract with others, so some of the problems may come from that, but I have yet to see any evidence at all that they stand by their product or hold themselves responsible for the service provided. Seriously, I have never in my long life gotten a worse hosing than from Cross Country Movers. I am truly STUNNED at how much of a nightmare this has been. BEWARE!!

Absolute worst moving experience possible. Was lied to from the very beginning, from the quote, to the estimated delivery date, to the actual company that would be handling the job.

Call one number to be told you need to call another, where you will receive no help and sent back to the original number. This is a broker. The communication is awful, and when questioned about promises that were made, they will become defensive and tell you nothing can be done or call someone else- for nothing to change. After our items finally arrived over a week and a half later than promised, and 11 hours later than scheduled (after we took the whole day off of work for no reason), they were delivered by a completely different company than we signed the contract with and our furniture was broken! And to top it all off, after already raising the price at pickup, they had to audacity to ask for more money when they arrived with our broken items.

This company is dismissive, unprofessional, mismanaged, unorganized, and disrespectful. Stay away.

I moved from Southern California to the beautiful Northern part of the state. This was my first move, so without having any idea as to how I was going to move all my things, I was so anxious. Also, with the outbreak going on, I feared for the price of the move, but Cross Country Moving Group assuaged all concerns I had! From a reasonable price, to assuring me that all of my belongings would be safe and sound, I was quite pleased with the service! I honestly wouldn't recommend them enough. These guys are definitely worth your time.

Since I had already dealt with Cross Company before and knew how great they are, I decided to seek their services again. I did not need to worry about anything as they took care of the whole process for me. I had already stored all of my stuff at their one of their storage. Once I arrived at my new apartment, they were there waiting for me. They did a wonderful job by unpacking and moving my stuff into my new apartment. Highly recommend seeking their services for anyone that needs any help with moving.

I was blown away by the way they handled everything. I called them up and they were professional from the moment they answered the phone. Janelle was very pleasant over the phone and understood my needs. It's important to have efficient yet careful movers, and they were both! Two guys showed up and made sure everything was packed appropriately. Then they went away with their business. Not a scratch on anything. I have had movers in the past that seem to take forever but these guys did the most with their time. Thanks for a painless move!

We called Cross Country Moving Group in a pinch and they were able to schedule within a couple days. Given the limitations placed upon our society, they came to our rescue! Yes, it was costly, but the move was faster and very smooth. Guys were friendly and knew what they were doing. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing moving assistance. This company is wonderful. The bidding was fair and we were able to cut the cost by about half by moving our small things ourselves. The moving guys are fantastic and Cross Country Moving Group took care of a minor repair to a tile table. We received a call from the repairman who cam out twice to make the job perfect.

I moved from Michigan to North Carolina. My stuff was picked up on June 7th, and when I arrived in NC on June 15th (the expected delivery date), I was told my stuff would be delivered by the 17th or 18th. Today is June 18th and when I called to check in on the delivery again, they said "we never told you that, but it will be delivered by the end of the week". I've been living in empty apartment going on 4 days now. No explanation for the delay, no apology or discount for not having my stuff at all. I am beyond frustrated and irritated at this point. No issues with the pick-up itself, but this has made my whole experience with the company unsatisfactory. I'm getting uncertain answers and poor customer service. They keep telling me "the driver will call you with an estimated drop-off time".

Overall, this has tainted my entire experience with them. I am getting no answers at all and am living in an empty apartment in the meantime. Terrible experience.

I’ve made quite a few long-distance moves and didn’t have a good experience with any of the relocation companies I hired to move my stuff until I chose Cross Country Moving Group. It was easy to get an estimate over the phone and the customer service on the day of the move was great. I usually get cranky and anxious when moving across the country, but this time my experience was almost completely free of stress thanks to this outstanding relocation company. Its good reputation is well-deserved!

I had to move in a very short period of time due to Co Vid and they were able to accommodate me quickly. They by far quoted me the most reasonable pricing out of all of the companies I contacted. They were extremely friendly and professional and really made a terrible circumstance bearable. I appreciated that they took their time with my belongings and all of my stuff arrived at my parents house safely. The movers made sure not to leave a mess once they were done and respected all of the things that were already in the house. When I need to move again i'll be sure to contact them!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself jobless. As a single mother with two kids, a 250 mile move from Defuniak Springs to my father's house in Lake Butler, Florida would be no easy feat. I needed immediate moving assistance for as little as possible, and needed everything taken care of. I had no bandwidth to assist with moving while I applied for jobs in a new area and took care of my children. Cross Country Moving Group was the first and only company I needed a quote from. For only $2200, their crew moved everything from my 3 bedroom house to my father's estate. I couldn't believe how cordial and professional the movers were. Cross Country Moving Group saved me from a very tough situation.

I was planning to move today since my lease ends today. Everything was ready and I made a reservation at a hotel. Two hours before the agreed-upon pick-up time, some random woman with a bad attitude called me and told me that it’s not going to happen today due to “major delay.” What’s even more unbelievable is that she claimed to be working over hours and used that as an excuse to disrespect me with such a condescending tone.

How is it my fault that your movers cannot make it on time? And now I’m going to lose all my hotel deposit. Shame on whoever that woman is, and I hope you lose your job soon with that attitude.
