These guys were super professional to work with from the start. I had explained my time constraints to the representative on the phone and she was very accommodating and said that they would be able to work around my time table. The guys came by and was well informed about my time window and moved all my furniture and antique pieces with so much care. I couldn't be happier with them. My husband is in the military and was away training, and I was 6 months pregnant. Thanks to Cross Country Moving Group I was able to handle the move with no problem at all. They were respectful and very considerate of my condition. They definitely gave me the piece of mind that I certainly needed. The were on time and extremely kind. I would like to thank Cross Country Moving Group for making my moving experience as close to stress free as possible. Everything was handled promptly and professionally: Packing time was efficient, and delivery to the new address was seamless. I appreciated the updates and great communication throughout the process and felt very confident about the move. These guys seem like they have done this a lot and know what they are doing. I am not a fan of the moving process, but they made it all seem so easy and painless. I hope I won't have to move again soon, but I will absolutely go back to Cross Country Moving Group again in the future.

8/20/2019, Rep. asked for an add'l $450 deposit, given

(2) Simplified Moving Solutions of Dallas, NC (SMS), 3 movers came, with Russell as the leader who collected the $1489.91 credit card payment, initially asked for cash payment:

8/22/2019, this moving company was sent by CCMCI. The movers arrived and loaded my belongings and charged me $1489.91 and was told that the money CCMCI took from me was their own commission, so I must pay SMS separately.

8/26/2019, the SMS moving company didn't arrive as scheduled.

I received DISHONEST phone conversation between the SMS Dispatcher and the CCMCI Manager, Tom (Thomas Mcgarry). The former said CCMCI already paid SMS a portion of my $1697.28 and the $1489.91 paid to SMS through Russell was the continuation in the moving process. On the other hand, the latter said $1,697.28 belong to CCMCI business because "ALL interstate moving companies need brokers".

They held my belongings as "hostage" which made me feel threatened, and exacerbated my high blood pressure and other symptoms caused by the emotional stress and torture.

9//11/2019, the two movers arrived with my belongings but was again asked to pay $1389.91 using "bank cashier's check" this time without telling me in advance, so they waited until I came back from the bank to unload. Those movers were not the same people who originally loaded my things in NC. At any rate, the Simplified Moving Solutions movers (from NC or NJ employee movers) scratched my Kenmore Elite washer and Samsung dryer. esp the front load glass mirror doors, broke several wooden furniture, missed some items including my wall family picture.

Broke my belongings so I notified. the CCMCI Manager name Tom via text messages with attached pictures. I waited for his response on how to handle this matter, but to no avail after getting all of my payments.

Total Paid to CCMCI = $ 1,697.28 ($1247.28 + $450)

Total Paid to SMS = $ 2,879.82 (1489.91 + 1389.91)

Overall Total Paid = $4,5771.10

Total Miles = 589 for one bedroom move, the only heavy items were the washer and dryer

I gave away ten (10) of the 29 items listed originally from the CCMCI contract because SMS didn't pick them up since its truck didn't have enough space. Thus, my total price should have been reduced because the estimated cubic feet volume was also reduced.

One of the two moving companies (1) or (2) mentioned above owes me a refund for overcharging me and I don't care which one. I just want my money back either $1247.28, $1489.91, or $1,389.91.

I took notes on this sequential move and now that my health is back, I have decided to send this review and report both companies after getting the steps on what to do against their unprofessional and unsympathetic actions.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4771

Initially I was going to get a POD to move, but decided to get a few bids to hire movers. My first few conversations with Evan were pleasant, and my initial bid was just under $3,000. We ended up adding several more boxes and a few large items and my bid more than doubled coming in at just under $7,000 but we had to move forward because we were already locked into a contract and would have forfeited our initial $1082 down payment if we had cancelled. On the day of the move, the first thing the moving foreman said was "man that's a big desk, much bigger than we expected" .. they charged me an additional fee $236 above what was already quoted for the desk and then he started quoting other additional charges that I had to pay. I asked what my $7,000 was paying for if not to move the stuff and he said tape and storage. They ended up NOT taking all my stuff because they kept coming up with extra charges and I told him I was not going to play the nickle and dime game. After everything was loaded up, my $7,000 quote was now over $8200 !! My total move ended up costing me more than $5,000 what was initially quoted. I realize I added a lot more boxes, but triple the price !?!?!?!?! I also found that Cross Country Moving Group sub-contracted to NW Relocation. I could have hired a "local" mover had I realized that I wasn't dealing with a local mover in the beginning. When I first signed on with them, Evan was very nice and personable, he said "call anytime you have questions, this is my direct number" .. then the day of the move when I was having issues, he refused to answer the phone and instead sent a text that said, Call customer service, I don't work on Sunday" The moving helpers were very nice, but the foreman was a not. He went out of his way to find things to charge extra for AND he BROKE MY DESK! This is a cherry wood executive desk with a hutch. When taking apart and wrapping my desk, he took apart the corner piece that is NOT supposed to separate! The crew that delivered my stuff to our final destination was polite and professional. Had I realized they were going to charge me $8,200 to move I would have gotten the POD and done the work myself for A LOT less money!! I feel cheated, scammed and lied to.

My family and I decided to move from Texas to Florida. It was hard enough deciding to leave our family and friends behind to start my husbands new job in Florida. After lots and lots of research we found Cross Country Moving Group! They made everything so easy all we had to do was focus on our goodbyes. They had fair prices and excellent service. They were understanding of me being a little fussy and specific with my things and treated them with the upmost care and respect. These guys delivered our stuff in a very timely efficient manner and were a joy to work with.

My husband and I are extremely grateful for this moving company. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and was completely stressed out about moving so close to birth. Cross Country Moving Group made it very easy to get our things moved from California to Texas, they were extremely accommodating and ensured that we were happy the entire time. Personally, Moving is always a hassle and they ensured it wasn't for us and that's a first. I have tried many moving companies and I personally do not think anyone tops them! Excellent Job!

I was so worried about having to move my family so far from home. We where going from Washington state all the way to New Mexico. I had never been that far from hom. new job and my daughter starting a new school. I was so overwhelmed. My friend told me about cross country moving group (she had just moved from Oregon to Florida). I called and they where so helpful and understanding about my anxiety. The people they sent where professional and careful with my things. I really could not have asked for a better experience. Well worth the price.

I can’t say enough nice things about Cross Country Moving Group! Starting with my initial call to set up an appointment all the way to the end of the move was flawless. The quote I was given for the service was well within reason and they certainly delivered. No damaged boxes and no hidden fees. If you’re going to move, this is the company to hire! Good prices, good people, and overall great service! If I ever need to hire another moving company, I will certainly be hiring Cross Country Moving Group for the job!
