I was so satisfied with the quality of the service provided by Cross country moving that I used the company twice within 18 months. Both moves, one within Jersey City and one from Jersey City to Maine.The movers are quick, efficient, knowledgable about how to properly package and store furniture, and handled my belongings and furnishings with great care. I was impressed with the company's attention to my phone calls and questions. The owner and his support staff are easily accessible by telephone and email. The movers themselves were friendly and amenable to suggestions that I had regarding how I wanted certain items moved and packaged. I could not have had an easier and quicker move had it not been for Cross country moving. I highly recommend them for your next move!

I have used Cross country moving twice now, one move within Jersey City (October 2011) and most recently from Jersey City to Virginia (November 2012).  Both moves were on time and very reasonable flat rate for a two bedroom apartment Crew does a great job of disassembling/reassembling, wrapping furniture and TVs, etc.  No damage, and absolutely no "nickel and dime" attitude - they take care of everything for the quoted rate. Would definitely recommend and use again. .

Dean's willingness and flexibility to accommodate our less than fixed inventory of items to be packed and moved was what sold us on choosing his company among others from whom we had received estimates (all the estimates were within $125).  His flat fee estimate was $3,200 and included everything - no extras before or after. We had unfortunately scheduled a move for the week after Super Storm Sandy. Dean with great good will was able to make our move although I fear with difficulty and possible hardship on his side.  His people were professional, courteous and caring.  All items (with one minor exception) arrived at the destination unscathed and complete and within the allotted time frame (our building is very strict with the time for all move-ins).  It was a pleasure dealing with a company and people who said they would take care of us and our goods and really live up to their word. Thank you, kudos and the highest recommendations to Dean and the people at  Cross country moving.

A skeptic at heart, I was reluctant to enter into any agreement with a moving company. I did what most people do, I went on line, made a guess about the inventory and subsequently received quotes from “the best and cheapest” providers. After fielding 40 calls, I concluded that the wolves were at the door. I concluded the industry is cut throat.

I decided to go back to the basics and I called moving companies that were rated high and had great customer feedback.
From the start, my engagement with Cross country moving was extremely positive, in fact legendary. Dean (the owner) met me at the move site; he was on time and provided me an exact quote for my move. He also provided excellent guidance on other issues (storage space etc). On moving day, Dean and his crew were on site and executed flawlessly. In fact, Dean not only led the crew, but also packed and carried the furniture. Understandably not his first priority when running a business but any great leader, boss, manager, supervisor etc, he got into the trenches with his troops. He and his team earned 5 stars on moving day.

In summary, Cross country moving exceeded my expectations. I am a huge fan of Dean and his team. On time, great communication, simple and absolutely no surprises.

I needed to move to Illinois. After researching many companies I settled for Cross country moving for following reasons: 1. Excellent reviews on the internet by over 50 people 2. All inclusive flat rate pricing with zero hidden costs (except discretionary tip)   On my moving day Steve, the owner, called me at noon to check if the move can start earlier than the scheduled time of 1pm since the guys had already completed the previous move. This was very good as I wanted to be done asap with the move that day after several days of packing.   Three people showed up, shrink wrapped all my furniture including sofa and mattress. They had to disassemble the dresser. All this was included in the flat cost.   I had packed my stuff in boxes. Took them 5 hours overall to disassemble, wrap, load, unload, unwrap and assemble my stuff. They placed all the pieces where I asked them.   Overall, not a single complaint. I highly recommend them.

Dean & Rolando were awesome to work with from start to finish.  Although my move started later than I wanted, it was no fault to Cross country moving --there was an accident that delayed them getting to me. However, once they were onsite they packed my house, unassembled and loaded all my things in record time.  Unloading was just as speedy. They were very careful with my furniture and moved everything where I wanted with no fuss.  I would definitely recommend Cross country moving any day of the week.  Best of all the pricing was reasonable and there were no hidden costs. Dean was completely straightforward and thorough.   .

I was very pleased with my move. Considering I was moving from an apt where I enforced a restraining order against the landlord. There was some friction with others meaning the landlord but the movers stayed positve and professional. They also waited extra time for the autorities with out charging me extra. They honored the flat rate. Considering the situation they stayed focus and finished the job. The customer service in sales dept were also very well trained and professional in helping get this done.

I was extremely satisfied with the service I received from cross country moving. They were able to accommodate me with very short notice and have very competitive pricing. Dean and his staff were all very professional. I am a very particular and picky person and I was extremely satisfied with the way they wrapped each piece of my furniture and handled it with such care so no damage was done. They gave me a 1 hour window of the time they would arrive and it was extremely accurate. I would def use them again for future moves and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.
