Great move from start to finish. Professional and skilled service carried out. Courteous moving crew, who worked quickly and safely. Crew leader understood how to do the job well and listened to anything I made mention of or special requests. Office staff was responsive on all issues. And they were also one of the cheaper quotes we received. Everything went as planned. Very happy with the move services provided by City Removals, and will call on them again for any future moves.

We moved from a three storey three bed town house to a four bed two storey house. We didn't plan to move much of the furniture mainly the effects. I obtained three quotes at the start, one from an established national company that I had used when moving to the three storey town house and two from new smaller London based companies of which City Removals Ltd was one. The quote from the national company was lazy and excessive with many add ins and a reflection on the person quoting, the job was theirs to lose because I had happily used them before. The second two quotes were around 27% lower and similar in value so well priced. One quoted for two 3.5t vehicles and two people and City Removals (slightly more expensive) quoted for a 7.5t vehicle and three people. Both had good online reviews. I went with City Removals. City promptly sent me the boxes so I could get started as promised and I paid them in full on receipt of these.
On the day three men turned up with two 3.5t vehicles. I didn't mind because they were easier to park but I felt deceived. They also didn't bring enough clothes boxes, the number of which was agreed at the time of the quote. When I rang to complain about this they said the 3.5t vehicles were easier to park and had the same capacity and the clothes boxes were extra as detailed in their quote so this was my fault. In saying that the guys were brilliant, they made up temporary rail boxes ingeniously. They also moved a sofa down three storeys for me that wasn't moving with me and were generally upbeat and supportive in what is a stressful event. The three chaps proceeded at pace to load the vehicles one after the other and having started at 8am (They turned up on time) were fully loaded and ready to leave by 12:30. We bought them pizza's for lunch and headed off to the new house separately. We arrived first, they arrived around twenty minutes later. (2hrs journey)
They unloaded the 3.5t vehicles and put the few items of furniture back together as necessary. We had labelled everything and they accurately followed the instructions on the labels and asked if they needed advice. There was no damage and no missing items as far as I am aware and they were all finished for around 16:30pm.
I have no complaints with the move and would use them again. Well done City Removals!

Service cost: £1100

City Removals chose not to send a surveyor to my apartment before the move bc they said it was not necessary. On the day of the move, at lunchtime, I had a mutiny where I was called from the  City Removals office and told that the movers think I have too much stuff to move.  I was literally held at gun point until I agreed to another man and more money.  Then they started to unpack. The new mover came for about 30 minutes and they were finished by 4pm.  I had a huge palaver trying to get my money back eve though it was their fault that the surveyor chose not to visit/ They damaged my Denon music unit in the move.  I gave them the names of official Denon suppliers.  They said it was too expensive even though I was covered by their insurance.  So I agreed to have it fixed with their people with a guarantee for 6 months at least.  After 6 weeks, I received my unit and was told I would not get a guarantee.  There was nothing wrong with it and to fix it with Denon if further problems arose.  SO they kept it for 6 weeks for nothing.  And I have photos showing exactly what was wrong with it and on top of that, I will have to pay out of my own pocket if it is not fixed properly.   They are not worth the price they offer.  Pay more and get proper service. I have lived in London for more than 20 years and moved many times and have never experienced lack of service like this and the constant chasing up.

I was really impressed with the team from City Removals. They did a fantastic job moving our furniture and really went the extra mile to make sure we had all the pieces where we wanted them, even if it meant a lot more effort to break down and rebuild a cupboard (which I thought was going to be impossible). The guys arrived a little later than the scheduled time, but they called ahead and made me aware of what time they were going to arrive, which was spot-on. Overall, a fantastic, efficient and professional service. They were recommended to us by a friend and I am very happy to recommend them and use their services for future moves.

We found the company on line.They provided an initial quotation via email but they also came and did a home survey just for our piece of mind.The quote after the survey was more expensive as they thought the distance from our front door to where they could park their truck was quite long so they added one extra men in the crew.They clearly explained this to us and we agreed.
The service over the 2 days was extremely good.The men were polite ,very hard working and always customer orientated.We found them at timss too polite as theyvalways asked us where to place things etc.But at the end of the day it is their job.
Also everything was extremely well packed into boxes and all the furniture was wrapped.Nothing was damaged at the end thanks to this.
Overall we found this company very good and efficient and looking back we think itvwas money well spent and that we made the right decision.
If you value piece of mind like we did always do your research and do not chose the chealest option.

From the visit by the estimator until the move was complete this was a stress free experience. The quotation was very competitive. The company arranged parking suspension for the day required. Packing was carried out on the day before and the 2 man team arrived at the agreed time and were very courteous, careful an efficient. Again on the day of removal the 3 man team were there waiting until the agreed time. They worked very quietly and efficiently to carry all the boxes and pieces from a third floor flat to the house a few miles away.They worked diligently throughout the day and completed the move with their van in 3 trips. Nothing was broken or damaged and all dismantling and re-assembly of furniture trouble free. Could not praise the team enough.

We have just received our stuff back after being just a bit over one year in storage.We are so happy that the whole thing which was more on the nightmare side is over.Lawyers,builders etc..pure nightmare.We are very happy that City Removals did not add to the stress.They did their job very well and made our life as easy as possible on the moving side of things.
We had an inventory which they did when they collected.We crosschecked everything upon delivery and nothing was missing.Everything arrived wrapped and in perfect condition just as they left.
Everyone we dealt with was profesional and willing to always help.
They also rebuild all the furniture and no problems there either.
We will always spread the word and recommend this company as this is the least they deserve..Well done and thank you very much.

This was only a small removal from london to leeds.Only around 60 boxes and about 7 pieces of furniture in total.
The company provided an excellent service.The 2 men were on time despite the very early start.They collected our things at 05:00 am  as they wanted enough time to get back to London.
They drove straight to leeds only stopping for a short 15 minutes lunch break on the motorway.
Everything arrived in one piece.Unloading was again very fast with the guys being very polite always asking us where to place the boxes and furniture.
Very good value for money given how well we were taken care of.A definite yes I would recommend and use again.
