City Moves

Used city moves last week and they were great. The lads were early, each of them introducing themselves so polite. They worked in an organised and efficient manner. They were really respectful, took care of our property and put covers down on the floor.
On reaching our property they patiently waited for us to get the keys and did as much as they could to ensure they were ready to unload as soon as they could.
I have used city moves twice now, would use them again and would certainly recommend them to anyone.

To start with, the gentleman who came for assessment beforehand was a lovely person, very polite and helpful. During the process of moving, all the guys were very professional. But, I contacted the company 3-4 days before the moving date to let them know the I will get the keys by 3 pm. the lady on the phone, Tracey, was really rude and unhelpful. She thought that it was a late notice and I should have told them earlier. I've tried to explain that I didn't know that until the day I informed them but she insisted that they will start moving 8 am and any delay I should pay 90 pounds/hour. it ended up that I paid 180 extra. so I am not really happy.

I cannot fault City Moves. From start to finish they accommodated all my changes ( Covid). The guys on the day smiled and whistled their way through a very challenging removal, we had a storm and they just carried on through. We had a 6 hr trip to our new house, our stuff went ahead and after sleeping in the van overnight our removal team turned up bright and early smiling as they unloaded into yet another challenging property.

I can honestly say they took all the stress away. It was the only bit in the whole house moving process that went smoothly.

I thoroughly recommend City Moves.

Although our lorry was delayed due to a motorway crash and we were worried about all the other things which could go wrong the move went very very smoothly, The crew were hard working and polite and it was evident that they knew what they were doing. Full marks to Jason & Terry. Would not hesitate to recommend this company's services. Also the back up services at this company were very good and the staff very understanding as we had to change dates three times.

We used City Moves on 29th July 2017 to move our house contents from storage to our new home.

There were 3 guys in a large lorry and accompanying van and they worked like machines! They were quick, efficient and very professional. All of our furniture and belongings were carefully loaded and unloaded and they also laid mats down onto our carpets to protect from dirt.

There was a difficulty with our road due to works being carried out and they worked to resolve the issue in order to gain access to our property. They were brilliant!

I would highly recommend City Moves for an efficient, friendly service.

I chose this company because their reviews on the internet were excellent and the price was superb! The gentleman that came to assess and price the job gave me confidence that it would be an easy move and the office staff were very helpful when I rang. The removal men worked quickly and efficiently to pack all my belongings into the van. They were polite and hard working fueled by cups of tea and a bacon sarnie.
When unloading they were amazing, getting everything up the stairs - a very difficult task! I would recommend them 100%!

So friendly, efficient and professional from start to finish. The guys seemed to take no time at all to load up and then even quicker to unload the other end. There were no breakages or scuffs left on walls or doorways and all were mindful of not leaving muddy footprints on carpets etc. As things had gone so well and quickly the guys even offered to help put things together for me. I have no hesitation in recommending Citymoves to anyone. Thank you to everyone concerned xx.

City Moves were very accommodating for a last minute booking, calling them only two days before the move was to take place. Both the office staff and the movers themselves were polite and helpful and the move itself was carried out with care. The movers were patient while waiting for a late money transfer as we were at the end of the chain, even though it meant their getting back home very late at night after a long drive. Very good service, we would highly recommend.

I would like to thank everyone at City Moves for the outstanding service that I received with my move to Spain. City Moves came highly recommended, by several family members & friends so they were the first company that I called to offer me with a quote, after meeting the surveyor and speaking with the office staff, in detail, regarding the move I didn't even call another company,as I felt at ease with City Moves and the customer service that I received.
I would highly recommend City Moves to Anyone that is looking to move home, as I found that they were extremly helpful and their knowledge, was second to none.
When we arrived in Spain, at my new property we were met with many obstacles but the staff were unfased and worked around all issues, going way above and beyond their job description and all the while keeping a positive and upbeat attitude! This helped me get through a day that would have normaly had myself and my husband 'pulling our hair out'.
I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to all involved and have even passed their number over to my mother and father, who are also looking to make the leap over the waer to sunny Spain! :)

Moving house is one of the most stressful days you have to deal with. City Moves made it much more stressful than it needed to be. They failed to move several items and left them behind, including a heavy piano which I was assured by their salesman would be no problem to move. They failed to supply sufficient boxes, promised to send more, and then failed to do this. They would not take items not in boxes (even though they failed to bring the extra boxes on moving day) and started driving off when the house was not empty. I had to pay another removal firm to finish the job that I already paid them to do (they took the money in advance). The other firm moved the piano easily with fewer men. The customer service is appalling - I have had no apology whatsoever, and they are generally rude and argumentative. I have had to ring and email about 10 times after the move to try and get some kind of refund for the piano they quoted for but did not move. They come across as totally unstrustworthy and dishonest. Do not use them.

The service that me and my wife received was both but outstanding. We had been very worried about our move but I can assure you now. Pick City Moves and you can put your mind at rest, because they were amazing. I hope I don't move again but if I did city moves would be the one that I used. They packed our house the day before and they were efficient. Nothing too much trouble for them. They even helped me with all the photos and mirrors, which I did not want them to do, due to expense but they bubble wrapped them and it was effortless. Thanks, City Moves.

Excellent customer service - I had to change the date of the move and company was very flexible. I received the boxes required for the move when they said. I had a phone call the day before the move to ask if there was anything else needed and to confirm the time they were coming. On the day - the lorry arrived when they said it should and the removal men were very polite and friendly. They were very hardworking - they had to move a lot of boxes and large furniture items down 2 flights of stairs. At the other end they were waiting for us to arrive with the keys to the new house and unloaded promptly and placed the items in the relevant areas. They also dismantled larger pieces and put them back together again at the other end.
When leaving they asked if everything was ok and that we were happy. The following day I had a courtesy call to check everything had gone well - which it had. I was extremely pleased with the service. I would recommend them and use them again.

They took an extra £50 more than they quoted me from my bank. On the day of the move they booked me in for 3pm so I took a half day from work. No sign of them at 3 so I called, they told me they would be an hour and a half late, which in itself is unacceptable. Come 430, no sign of them. Called them and they said they'd check with the driver and call me back. 20 minutes later and no call back so I had to chase them again! Was then told the sat Nav said they'd get to me at 630pm, so I had to tell them not to bother and I'd be seeking a refund.

Moved home from a second floor flat to a house in April 2017. Hired City Move to help me after researching removal companies online. When they arrived it was reassuring friendly and they communicated the job at hand to me before lifting any boxes. The whole process only took 1 hour and 15 minutes thanks to this professional company. The three removal men were very helpful and respectful. The price was competitive and I would recommend them to anyone in the Bristol area.

I had the service done in Bristol from a one bed to a 2beds in town. City Moves planned everything perfectly, they sent me boxes before and wrapping paper.

They then came a week later for the removal day and I had Jake and Chris, amazing guys. Extremely professional, tidy, clean, and very helpful.

No job was too big for them and they helped me patiently. They always had the smile on their face.

Thank you for making my moving day smooth and fun.

I will strongly reccommend them to anyone and would use them again .

City Moves were excellent. Their staff were all polite, efficient and helpful.

The removal team on the day turned up punctually and were incredibly helpful, despite quite a few of our garden and garage items not being either very well packed, or in fact, packed at all!

Nothing was too much trouble, and all in all they managed to take the stress out of what could have been a very stressful moving day.
