Every move has challenges, or so I thought! This last summer, I had family heirlooms and priceless furniture that needed to arrive without a scratch from Walla Walla, WA to Tucson, AZ. I was stressed, on short notice, and expecting disaster. I chose Charter Van Lines because everything was included in their quote—no hidden mileage or gas charges.

On moving day, the Charter Van Lines team delivered outstanding white-glove service. To tell you the truth, moving can get a little crazy sometimes, but Charter Van Lines delivers on their promises with professionalism: Not one scratch appeared after a multi-state move to the Southwest.

Overall, my experience of a multi-state move was made truly positive. They assembled my priceless furniture on-site with great care; and, I was ready to settle into my home within minutes. If I move for work again, I will choose Charter.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I am so satisfied with my experience that it is necessary! Using Charter Van Lines to help me move my home has been the only stress free part of my move. Thanks to them I feel like a load has been taken off my shoulders. From the moment I spoke to them on the phone to the moment we arrived in South Carolina, the customer service has been superb and I couldn’t recommend them enough. When I made the decision to move out of my hometown it was a huge deal for me. I've lived in the same neighborhood my entire life and the farthest I have ever had to move my stuff was a few miles. This was a whole new monster that I was not prepared for. Well if this move was a monster then Charter is a dragonslayer haha! They made the entire process of getting everything moved so simple that it ended up being less of a hassle than moving a few miles had been for me in the past. They were easy to work with and their prices were very low considering the distance covered. I know if I ever decide to go back home or to make another long distance move my first step will to be to give Charter a call.

I was offered a new job 3 states away. To say I was excited is an understatement. Then I heard those words, "Can you start in 3 weeks?" Panic set in and I looked around and realized how much work I had to do!

My friend recommended Charter Van Lines to me and I decided to give them a shot. The woman I spoke with on the phone was polite and helpful; she walked me through the whole process and reassured me the whole way. On the day of the move the guys showed up and got right to work. They knew just what to do and how to get it done.

Now, here I am 3 states away and I started my new job. All of my belongings made it intact and I'm almost done unpacking. Thank you Charter Van Lines!

I recently had the biggest move of my life, from the Northeast to Florida. I was lucky enough to find Charter Van Lines, and they could not have made it more easy! Their website made it simple and efficient to get a quote, which is important to me as I am very busy. Their connections amongst local movers in my new hometown made the move that much more efficient, as they connected me with quality personnel close to my home. Furthermore, as my move was many miles south, Charter Van Lines assisted my move by equipping me with storage facilities along the route when I needed them. After my experience with Charter Van Lines, I can attest that they are the number one trusted moving company in my new home state of Florida. I can't thank them enough for their diligent service and assistance in this trying time in my life!

Charter Van Lines has been the worst experience ever. I move every 2-4 years and have never had so many issues. I moved from Florida to Seattle. Unbeknownst to me, they subcontracted to Unique Van Lines, who further subcontracted to NuLyfe Moving. During delivery, one of the guys robbed us of our hidden valuables that we had transported ourselves, which resulted in a 911 call and police report. We got our valuables back but later found out that he also stole 4 checks (he successfully withdrew money using 1 check), and made a copy of my credit (tried to use it unsuccessfully in another state)! Further, they lost 1 TV, 1 box containing electronics, and other items. As if that were not bad enough, they damaged 75% of our furniture! Finally, they overcharged us by $250 for a shuttle. Bad luck or "experienced" operation?

Seven weeks later, there is no resolution. Staff will not provide answers or allow me to speak with a supervisor. Good luck filing claims. The paperwork is intended to scare people off because they require sticker numbers from the missing and damaged items, original receipts, weight, and other detailed information that most homeowners would not have readily available. No word or comments on their part regarding the robbery. They will not acknowledge it! Based on my experience, I would not recommend Charter Van Lines, Unique Van Lines, or NuLyfe Moving.

I moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Columbus, Ohio and Charter Van Lines got me there easily, affordably and most of all very friendly customer service. The stage from quote to action was a pleasant transition. The movers were a great combination of friendly and interpersonal to professional in their communications and actions. I find these combined traits hard to find nowadays. These movers made feel like I was more than just some person moving they made me feel like I was the only person they had ever moved. When the time comes for me to move again which there will be Charter Van Lines will get the job. They live up to their promise of the best in the moving industry. Thanks Charter Van Lines for the experience of feeling like a unique and valued person and not just another customer.

My husband and I decided to relocate to Centerville,Ohio last year. We found this beautiful house that was just the right size for the two of us now that the children have moved out. We couldn't have chosen a better company. They took the time to walk us through the process until we had a game plan everyone could follow. On our moving day, they were on time and took great care of our furniture. Our new house was three hours away from the old one and traffic was pretty backed up that day. I actually got a little bit lost since we were new to the area, but we were able to find our way eventually. They met me and my husband at our house and listened to our directions on where to put the furniture. I don't know if we'll be moving again but we had a great experience with the movers.

When I found out I had to pick up and leave my life behind I wasn't too excited about it. I recently moved to a city i'd never been to before and to be honest, these guys made the transition a lot easier for me. I have a lot of stuff, and most of it is pretty easy to break or damage, so putting everything that's mine in the hands of someone else is not the easiest for me, but the care and attention to detail they were willing to take really put me at ease during my travel. Very professional people familiar with the pitfalls of relocating across a broad distance, as that is their specialty: out of town moves. Still feeling a little homesick but I can always get my guitar out and strum a few chords, since Charter Van Lines didn't get a scratch or a ding anywhere even NEAR it! I'm so grateful :) if you've gotta bring everything you own to a new city, I recommend them. They're FIVE STARS for taking extra special care of my stuff in transit for me :) :) :).
