I had Cedar strong pick up and store my personal belongings. My three-month-old large screen TV was damaged, the TV Was put back into the box that it was purchased in when I asked them on the truck they said it was fine. They never mentioned anything about the TV not being covered unless they packed it. They refused to compensate me even though they told me they had full insurance. The boxes That they kept at their warehouse for three weeks while I was waiting to move into my new Apartmenthad been chewed into by mice.I ended up throwing out items that as far as I concern cannot be Clean properly. I asked for a 930 pick up for my furniture they came at 11:45 I asked for a 10 o’clock delivery of my furniture they came at 1 PM

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

Oh am I glad I hired Cedar Strong Transportation after about 8 companies calling me. 3 guys came and they didn't play around. They were efficient, fast, professional and finished my whole house in 4 hours safely. The worst thing that happened was a small scratch on the stairs railing, but I couldn’t blame them because the area was very tight. Overall I am happy and would definitely move with them again

P.S: Ask for Alex and his team, you wont regret it !

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3750

Here are the reasons we would not hire again:

1. Even though we have provided them with a complete list of all the items we wanted moved, they have sent a 25ft truck as this was the largest they operate. Needless to say some of our furniture was left behind and we were told that we have too much stuff...

2. Because they have crammed/shoved as much as they could in their 25 ft truck, a number of our furniture items got badly scratched and one of the reclining chairs mechanisms broke.

3. They have loaded our lawn mower upside down on top of other furniture items and obviously there was an oil leak. They have tried to pin the truck cleaning cost on us without ever thinking about our furniture that got oil stains on it. They only backed down when we read to them their own instructions regarding fluids transportation and the fact that they only required removal of all the gasoline from yard equipment (mower, snow blower etc.) and no wine or other alcohol, which we followed completely.

4. At their instructions we have filed a claim for the repair of our damaged furniture. That was late September 2021. Today is December 20th and they have not responded to our emails.

We do not blame the movers themselves as they did their best with the small truck they had...Obviously the booking was not done properly for the size of the load they were suppose to move even though they had the inventory list.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

Worst experience ever. Arrived 3 hours late. Packed the truck ass backwards so when it came off we boxes mixed with furniture and was extremely difficult to organize. They got stuck in the driveway for 1 1/2 hours and when they got it out they claim it broke down and was towed back to Toronto with our stuff inside. This move was from Bancroft to Peterborough. We were left standing in apartment wondering where the truck was with just the clothes on our back. Very poor people skills. We finally received of stuff on the third day but didn't get here until 9:30 at night. Some items broken others some furniture with chips and marks. Also the price jumped up and then they would not even open the truck doors until we paid by cash. We had to go buy an air bed to sleep on and other items to hold us through. All my wives diabetic medications were on the truck and she had to make special arrangements. I am on oxygen and luckily I didn't send the heavy concentrator with them. They didn't seem to care. If you use this company good luck. The communication was so poor I even contacted the police as we started thinking we were robbed. We felt like we were taken advantage of seniors and disabled.

I hired Cedar Strong Transportation to move my furniture and other items to Montreal. The moving team was very professional and fast. I was surprised by the speed they moved all my stuff out of the apartment. They wrapped the furniture in blankets and the couches and matress in plastic bag. They also took care of my smart TV. When they reached in Montreal, the drive way was filled with snow and there was a ramp towards the building. Yet, they were able to take care of the problem and delivered my stuff in a timely fashion. All my furniture and items arrived clean and intact. The price they charged me was very reasonable compared to other companies considering the services that came with the move. I was very happy with their services and would recommend them for any moving.

Michael was very communicative and accommodating to all of our questions throughout the process. From the initial exploratory call to after the move, Michael was responsive.

The movers were fast and experienced. Alex and his team were a pleasure to work with. They basically packed and moved everything from point A to point B. Everything was packaged carefully and they worked so hard. Our stuff was delivered at 9pm and they still had another location to pick-up after they were done with our move.

Unfortunately, we discovered our TV was damaged throughout the moving process. Could have been the lengthy drive, the poor road conditions in Montreal, or the cobblestone roads that they had to drive on to get to our place. Michael was informed and the matter was resolved.

I appreciate all the help we've received. Would recommend.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3400

This company was really great up until the day of my move. They answered my questions, gave a good quote. The movers themselves were fairly professional in their conduct.

I was informed I needed to pay extra for stairs by a phone call with Michael from accounting.I was confused as it seemed like this was an unnecessary charge as I had already been charged for stairs. I was on the phone clarifying about this extra charge(and expressed it seemed like I was getting double-charged) when the movers asked me to deal with something moving related. I told Michael to call me back in 20 minutes while I dealt with this issue because I was in the middle of moving. At no point did I ever indicate I wasn't going to pay this extra fee, especially as I'd paid the moving cost in what I'd thought was in full the day before. Michael called the movers and told them to stop unloading my things in response. Even thr movers expressed to me that was unnecessary and simply asked me about it politely while continuing to unload my things. They were the ones who informed me Michael called to be petty because he couldn't wait 20 minutes on my moving day to sort out the last $100 of nearly $1500 I paid Cedar Strong Transportation. This was highly unprofessional and it reads very petty/power move. And I sent the petty $100.

I am only interested in apology at this point, as I am yet to receive one even as I explained how unprofessional this behaviour is. I am completely disinterested in Cedar Strong defending this employee's behaviour. This review would have been five stars had it not been for this awful and disgusting interaction.

I required a local move and contacted several companies. Some were very expensive and others were “ too good to be true”. When I reviewed those companies I realized they were exactly what Market Place reported on.

Cedar Strong was recommended by a friend.

I could not have been happier. It was a last minute move and they squeezed me in on a busy day. So the arrival time could not be set until they were on their way. I was fine with this

They loaded my belongings and unloaded them quickly and carefully.

I was at both ends of the move so I saw how they worked.

They quoted me a price based on an hourly rate of $130 an hour for 2 men.

They even set up my bed.

They were extremely pleasant and never stopped working.

The end price was exactly what they quoted based on the hourly rate.

I would use them again and recommend them.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $570

Solid service from KC and staff and top notch long distance movers at a really good price for value.

Two complaints: 1. I never got an official receipt (used for reimbursement at my work) 2. The hour of the move was determined less than 24 hours before my move and this altered my plans of how I would get there. I would prefer a two to three day notice of the hour of arrival and a week notice of the time of day they believe they will arrive (so that I can plan when to leave, get a hotel and coordinate how they would pick the items up if I'm not there).

Very well taken care of by K.C. She is so professional and really cares about your situation and always gets back to you with a quick response by email and usually answers the phone when you call or gets right back to you.

The movers were late on Saturday by 3 hours but Mike always kept me up to date. The drivers phone number was also given, so you were able to contact at anytime regarding

arrival. As they were about to start moving my Mothers contents on the 3rd floor of a Seniors Residence, the fire alarm went off and the elavators stopped working. It seemed the issue of restarting elavators was going to be a lengthy one so they used the stairs, Contents packed well.

My Sister received the contents in Orillia at another Seniors Residence and said the movers (Alex) were very professional and pleasent. I was pleased!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1800

I had booked for a morning move and they came at 6:30pm in the evening. They stopped picking calls in the afternoon cause they had no more excuses left. Damaged multiple furnitures. The Moving guys were part time students. Non professional. They did not transport my bed as they were unable to disassemble it when I separately paid for it. Did not wrap furniture’s as was promised before moving. Worst movers ever. Negative rating. Stay away from them. Will never book them again ever!

Initial verbal contact for 3 movers. Inventory list updated for 2 bedroom condo, both in text and verbally when I couldn’t download the inventory list sent. Confirming text message from office for 3 movers. Two drivers Arrived on time. Argumentative regarding where to park truck. We were a corner bungalow unit. Driver wanted to park in front of unit, blocking 2 other driveways. Had to call office for other driver…wasting time. Men did not take direction well regarding order of packing. Finally 2 more men arrived. Heading out, Linda called me to give me price and abruptly stated 2 more drivers being sent to unpack. Never came. I should have hired locally. Lesson learned.
