I used these guys to move 5 items of furniture. The move was done in 40 minutes. They charged me for 2 trucks and 4 movers and 2 hours of removal time to move 5 items. Staff are arrogant. Will NEVER use this company again. The move was also less than 2km total distance between the 2 locations. They charged almost $500 after originally being quoted $84/hr. Absolute ripoff! Do not use. They ask for a deposit and once they have you hooked, they change what you agreed to. Very unethical business. Please be warned.

The job was estimated between 12 and 3pm. The movers came at 5pm. They were very slow and a 2 bedroom unit took 4 hours. The distance between the 2 addresses was 800 metres. The truck was too small and 2 trips were needed. I paid for 3 hours with a credit card. They ended up working an extra hour and told me their credit card machine no longer worked. Weird as it worked 2 hours ago. Then they made me go to a ATM to get cash out at 9pm to pay for the remaining hours work. Apart from that the movers were polite and did not damage anything.

I booked a 10tone truck with 2 men to move two households into storage and then a following booking for 2.5 weeks later into the new property.

I booked between 2-6 for Sunday 21st of March (day before settlement) I was told I would get a phone call 30 mins before they arrived, so when my phone rang at 1.50 I thought they were soon to be arriving. Instead they dropped the bombshell that they could not do my booking due to rain!! WTF!!! I was astonished as it was not raining and the forecast didn’t show rain. I told them that this was not good enough to which they said they would try their hardest to arrange something.

I got a phone call 10 minutes later to say they’ve tried but couldn’t make it work due to a truck break down. (Story has changed)

When I said they better figure out something and to call me when they’ve figured out how to move our two households that day they said they’d get back to us again.

30 mins later, a phone call to say nothing can be done but to move their booking to the following day (settlement was occurring)

I called them out on the rain story and asked why they wanted me to move my booking on a day in which had heavy rainfall forecasted yet they couldn’t do it in drizzle!

To make matters worse, I had two people call me afterwards to ask if I wanted to cancel the Appointment. They do not communicate to one another or read notes left on the booking.

I would never ever ever recommend this pitiful business to anyone unless you wanted to be let down at the last minute.

The worst experience I have ever had. Please don't trust their works and prices. I fixed the price with all the details 2 times before the procedure and double-checked it. They came to the pick-up point after 5 hours lateness and at the finishing time easily changed the fixed price and add a lot of costs at the service time and threaten me to increase the price more and more if I continue calling. So rude and shifty people with low-quality jobs. They offer a lower price to attract people and then charged double. for 1 hour and 4o min job they charged me 2.5 hours with 5 hours lateness.

Very rude, arrogant staff,not punctual, unprofessional in their work.. Not well trained on how to keep stuff on truck. They were very careless while moving stuff. Boxes were put upside down, on side ways. Worst of all they asked me to pay before unloading the truck.i felt like i have been overcharged and being blackmailed if i dont Pay they will drop all the stuff just on the road. I contacted their customer service team hoping to get some positive response but never got call back . I just gave up . Finally paid for whatever they asked me because truck driver keep saying that your time is still running and you will be charged even more. Let me add one more thing here while truck driver was talking to his boss infront of me said that i am an indian and I should not be trusted with payment. He very well knew that i can understand his language. Never again. It was very stressful. I will not recommend to anyone . I will make sure my Indian friends know what my experience was like . My suggestion to them is hire some sensible people and fire bad staff.

I had more than 5 calls to CBD movers to tell them they had our pick up time incorrect, finally they seemed to understand 2pm. Of course 2pm came and went. It got to 5.30pm and we were calling them and calling them, they said "oh we have a window of time, the movers can arrive between 2 and 6pm". We said to them our would take hours, anyone arriving at 6pm would likely be there until midnight. "That's okay," they said "we will still move you tonight" we tried to explain to them no mover is going to want to work until midnight. Our movers finally arrived at 6.30pm, tired after moving stuff all day. They too had been told the wrong information from CBD movers - that we just wanted some stuff moved around the house and not that it was moving a whole household of four to a new house (despite me providing a detailed inventory to CBD movers).

I stood next to the removalist as he spoke to CBD movers and could hear the manager tell them a completely different story to what he had just told us. Finally we negotiated with the movers themselves to do it the next day, despite having to go and get our bedding back. Our young children were crying with exhaustion by then.

It was such a terrible experience, CBD movers are unorganised, seem to have no communication between departments and are happy to lie, to not just us, but even their own employees. They expected their movers who had been lifting all day to lift all night as well, very exploitive. I would say avoid at all costs.

The two movers arrived only to start rudely arguing about parking. They failed to show any interest in actually completing the job. After they got over this they then proceeded to take almost 2.5 hours to pack the contents of a 1 bedroom apartment into the truck. They move incredibly slowly and wasted a lot of time doing things very inefficiently. They showed little care for the items they were moving. They also asked me to pay cash ‘as the eftpos machine wasn’t working’, so when I withdrew the amount I did based on 4 hours as they were almost done. Then they took half an hour to unload 2 items. So the price went up even further. However the eftpos machine was now miraculously working.

Our move was in Victoria. My mother had passed away and I needed her furniture moved out of Aged care. With very few days notice and on Good Friday CBD picked up and delivered to 2 addresses in the same morning. No waiting around and no complaints. I booked 4 men because I knew the furniture would be heavy and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced that was and for a Public Holiday.

Everything was delivered in the condition I expected so no issue there and was handled with the respect I expect. Apart from an initial misunderstanding when booking I can not fault the friendly service I was given. Quick, efficient and friendly.
