Was told my stuff would arrive 7 to 10 days after pickup, yet it took nearly a month. Called every week, and the woman answering the phone kept giving me the run around. Had no idea my personal belongings would be stored god knows where for 3 weeks. When my stuff finally arrived, I was missing things, including most of my bed frame, a tv, and a few boxes. No respect for peoples belongings., my stuff had been opened, and certain things taken. Crooks, crooks, crooks. Recommend that you move your own stuff. That is if you value your belongings. Don’t trust them, they lie.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1800

Brooklyn Moving estimated one thing and OVERcharged me , items arrived 3 1/2 weeks later and I wasn't able to go places I wanted to go waiting on them to arrive, EVERYTHING of VALUE was destroyed (broken hardwood chairs, dining room table, living room table, china cabinet, entertainment center, AND MORE) and they don't clean up THEIR mess both leaving my old home and at the new home!! It was bad enough to get a 9pm call that your stuff finally arrived BUT my poor mom HAD a meltdown watching all her destroyed items come into the house. When they FINALLY did arrive it was at 9pm and we had to stay up with them until 4:30am, AND yes I had prepare for work 30 mins after they left. When they finished at 4:30am they promised to come back and move the heavy items, guess what? No show!! Save yourself THE heartache!!!!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9000

Here is the deal: If you been assigned to this company at very last minute by your broker, just go ahead cancel it and eat that loss on the deposit. THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIVE. If a few hundred bucks can save the majority of your brain cells, I'd say that's a bargain.

When you notice the following signs and still decide to move forward with it, you deserve to be scam.

1. The last thing they mention is UP TO 21 BUSINESS DAYS which is way different than what your broker told you 3-5 days.

2. If you move across states, know they don't drive your belonging by themselves. Your stuff will be loaded from truck A then dump to warehouse B, waiting for 2-4 weeks and Loaded to truck C and dump to destination city warehouse D and wait for 2-4 weeks then load to truck E to your house.

3. All reviews are 1 star, and 21 days arrival is the best case scenario here on yelp.

4. When they tell you pick up time is 5-9pm that means 9-12pm. Hey who doesn't love night moving.

5. If you into the upcharge scheme and hold your belongings like hostage, you are in for a treat.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3623

Brooklyn Moving is essentially a fraudulent business. I was out through to them through a broker without my knowledge and the service was as bad as it gets. I only had about 8 items, they completely damaged my furniture beyond repair. The movers gave me a time they would be there and came 4 hours late and did not call as they were supposed to. The movers wouldn’t even carry the stuff to my door without charging me another $50. I essentially did all the moving myself. They give a time window of 21 business days after your first available date of moving in. This was never discussed beforehand with the original moving company Gold Standard Relocation. They stated 14 days after the pick up date. They forgot my mattress, just literally did not have it. Told them and they said they would look for it. They eventually found it and said they would deliver it on the next truck to my area. Never stated when that would be. 3 weeks go by I get no call. I call to see if it will ever be delivered. They say they will call me back. I said I’m tired of hearing this so they put me on hold and tell me they will now magically deliver it this weekend. SPOILER ALERT: It didn’t come over that weekend. It still isn’t here. I’ve had to sleep on an air mattress for over two months because of these people. You’re better off paying twice the price for a proper move as they will just charge you then not deliver or break your items so you will be out the money and your stuff.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1700

I didn't even hire this company, but they were hired by my broker American Plus Moving and Storage (who are equally as horrible). Ask your broker who they are using and make it a condition of your contract that you will not do business with Brooklyn Moving Inc. I had a binding not to exceed estimate and they have far exceeded that. They will not take a credit card or personal check because they know those can be disputed / canceled. Only cash or wire. They show up very late at night, upping the quote and then refuse to move anything until you sign their contract. If you are doing a long distance move they take advantage of that because getting another long distance mover is near impossible at the last minute. They prey on people, hold your items for ransom, and at this point have basically stolen all of the belongings I could not fit in my car. The customer service is non existent and Charisse has yelled at me several times demanding more money via wire despite me paying far more than 50% of my binding not to exceed estimate. They are scammers and thieves. They picked up my items 6/4 and as of today have not delivered. Their driver called me 4 days ago saying it would be delivered two days ago and no contact since then despite my calling and sending texts. Normally I'd at least wait for my things to be delivered before writing a nasty review, but seeing as how I have zero faith that these people aren't scam artists I'm writing this review in the hopes of saving other people from what I've gone through.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5508

Do not use them. They up charge for all mist double the amount quoted. Had are stuff for 3 months. Every box was smashed. Had to put 5 bikes in the shop when they got here because they were taken apart and it looks like they were just thrown around. Had to throw out mattress and box springs because the bags were ripped open. We had rat's in are boxes. Trying to get claims done for replacement is a joke. They want you to hold the damage items. In case the need to inspect them. We have had to spend around a $1000. So far. Then they just put all are stuff in the garage. And then we had to spray everything for bugs and wash everything. And they lost box's. Do not use them.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $11000

Read to the bottom if you are interested in participating in a class action suit. This company has got to be put out of business. Used a broker to get a quote and when the day came to move, my quote doubled and then tripled. It tripled after the truck was 3/4 loaded. i had no choice. my items were broken, boxes smashed and like other reviews many of my items are missing. the driver stole a box of wine and God knows what else. Once the truck is gone, you will have no control. Customer service is atrocious. You will not have a leg to stand on if you do business with this company as they will hold your items hostage , no resolutions whatsoever. they use CSIPros to settle your loses and i was within my 90 days to claim missing items but CSIPros told me that i signed the receiving paperwork. i had to or i would not get what was shipped. they found young men from off the street to unload my household items and actually shipped my 4 bedroom home items on a truck that had no hydraulic lift so everything including a refrigerator was dropped down 3-4 feet to the ground.
