Here is the deal: If you been assigned to this company at very last minute by your broker, just go ahead cancel it and eat that loss on the deposit. THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIVE. If a few hundred bucks can save the majority of your brain cells, I'd say that's a bargain.

When you notice the following signs and still decide to move forward with it, you deserve to be scam.

1. The last thing they mention is UP TO 21 BUSINESS DAYS which is way different than what your broker told you 3-5 days.

2. If you move across states, know they don't drive your belonging by themselves. Your stuff will be loaded from truck A then dump to warehouse B, waiting for 2-4 weeks and Loaded to truck C and dump to destination city warehouse D and wait for 2-4 weeks then load to truck E to your house.

3. All reviews are 1 star, and 21 days arrival is the best case scenario here on yelp.

4. When they tell you pick up time is 5-9pm that means 9-12pm. Hey who doesn't love night moving.

5. If you into the upcharge scheme and hold your belongings like hostage, you are in for a treat.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3623

Brooklyn Moving is essentially a fraudulent business. I was out through to them through a broker without my knowledge and the service was as bad as it gets. I only had about 8 items, they completely damaged my furniture beyond repair. The movers gave me a time they would be there and came 4 hours late and did not call as they were supposed to. The movers wouldn’t even carry the stuff to my door without charging me another $50. I essentially did all the moving myself. They give a time window of 21 business days after your first available date of moving in. This was never discussed beforehand with the original moving company Gold Standard Relocation. They stated 14 days after the pick up date. They forgot my mattress, just literally did not have it. Told them and they said they would look for it. They eventually found it and said they would deliver it on the next truck to my area. Never stated when that would be. 3 weeks go by I get no call. I call to see if it will ever be delivered. They say they will call me back. I said I’m tired of hearing this so they put me on hold and tell me they will now magically deliver it this weekend. SPOILER ALERT: It didn’t come over that weekend. It still isn’t here. I’ve had to sleep on an air mattress for over two months because of these people. You’re better off paying twice the price for a proper move as they will just charge you then not deliver or break your items so you will be out the money and your stuff.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1700

Do not use them. They up charge for all mist double the amount quoted. Had are stuff for 3 months. Every box was smashed. Had to put 5 bikes in the shop when they got here because they were taken apart and it looks like they were just thrown around. Had to throw out mattress and box springs because the bags were ripped open. We had rat's in are boxes. Trying to get claims done for replacement is a joke. They want you to hold the damage items. In case the need to inspect them. We have had to spend around a $1000. So far. Then they just put all are stuff in the garage. And then we had to spray everything for bugs and wash everything. And they lost box's. Do not use them.

Read to the bottom if you are interested in participating in a class action suit. This company has got to be put out of business. Used a broker to get a quote and when the day came to move, my quote doubled and then tripled. It tripled after the truck was 3/4 loaded. i had no choice. my items were broken, boxes smashed and like other reviews many of my items are missing. the driver stole a box of wine and God knows what else. Once the truck is gone, you will have no control. Customer service is atrocious. You will not have a leg to stand on if you do business with this company as they will hold your items hostage , no resolutions whatsoever. they use CSIPros to settle your loses and i was within my 90 days to claim missing items but CSIPros told me that i signed the receiving paperwork. i had to or i would not get what was shipped. they found young men from off the street to unload my household items and actually shipped my 4 bedroom home items on a truck that had no hydraulic lift so everything including a refrigerator was dropped down 3-4 feet to the ground. FBI should be looking into this company.

We got them from Brokerage company and didn't have time to properly research Brooklyn Moving. As a result our items arrived one month late and 10% of them were missing, including furniture peaces(!). It looks like they only have one lady in customer support and she immediately starts screaming on you for complaining, probably because she is already tired of all the complains.

Overall, it feels like company is ran by Sopranos and

this why I think FBI should look into them.

Is one star the minimum? It’s too many! “Useless” as my wife says after our many phone calls.

We had a shipment of 19 home furniture items delivered betweenSanFrancisco and Minneapolis by Brooklyn Movers in 2021. When the shipment (2 months belatedly) arrived, 3 items (including a good sofa) were missing. This was noted on the paperwork signed upon delivery.

We filed a claim for the missing items as required. It seems, however, that Brooklyn “doesn’t have” the delivery paperwork so the claims company (a separate story in itself) says they can’t substantiate the claim. This means, should items not be delivered, intentionally or unintentionally, all that needs to happen is for the paperwork to disappear and there’s no proof and no compensation! This is a great scam as our claim is now denied for lack of paperwork, that Brooklyn has failed to provide.

You would think that this has happened before and procedures would be in place to address this problem. I guess there is a procedure— deny, deny, and not respond.

Items were delayed, and some broken. Some boxes looked like they went through a war. 3 months after filing my claim (got full insurance thankfully) I am still waiting to get the claim processed. READ THAT CONTRACT very carefully and know everything is written to favor them. The included insurance is useless and if you want to buy full insurance they assign the value based on weight and charge a premium based on that, not the actually value of the items. My items were valued at most 10k, but i was forced to buy 18k worth of coverage cause of the weight. When it comes time for a claim, they point you to the insurance company and you will never hear from them again...cause lets be honest they don't care anymore. What was also surprising, after delays in getting my items delivered, communication is poor, and on top of that when the truck finally arrived, the "movers" were two individuals the driver found on Craigslist to help unload and move into the apartment. I had to keep track of damages as boxes were being unloaded, keep track if any are missing, etc.... driver and movers just unloaded and took off. I thought i hired brooklyn moving company not some folks from Craigslist to unload. Unfortunately brooklyn was assigned to me via a broker so didn't have a chance to look into them prior, but if you are reading this and didn't sign any contracts, look elsewhere, not worth the headache.

Using this company was extremely stressful for my elderly parents. There were added hidden moving fees that we didn’t find out until the movers came to pick up the car. The furniture was well packed but when the furniture arrived to our city, the driver called and threatened to dump our belongings on the side of the road if we didn’t give him an address right away (our home closing got delayed and the company agreed to store the furniture; the driver was supposed to take our belongings to the storage area). The movers demanded we pay them cash upfront and would not unload our belongings unless we paid them first. Once we paid them, they threw our belongings into the driveway from the truck. All of the furniture, which was real wood, over 20 years old, and in excellent condition, was scratched or broken. The end of our wooden French style dinning table cracked completely off. All the wooden arms broke were they attached to the seat. All of the legs had wood gouges. Some of the furniture completely broke and we just had to throw it in the dumpster. They were only insured for $0.60 to the dollar and only gave us $500-600 back after thousands of dollars in damage. My parents are retired now and can’t afford new furniture. This was supposed to be a happy moment to move near family and retire and this moving experience was so stressful, it took months for my parents to recover and calm down. We would never use this company again.

I give this company TEN STARS! I was so pleased with David and Ezzy today! I needed them to remove all furniture from my 2nd floor front bedroom, set up the bed and a heavy dresser to another bedroom at the rear of the house, move a VERY heavy dresser with mirror to a 3rd FLOOR bedroom, bring a heavy box of electronics from the 3rd FLOOR to the 1st FLOOR! I have a 4 level 111 year old Victorian row house and these two did an AMAZING job in just over ONE HOUR!! They even helped take a broken dresser outside for me to dispose of, removed some old screws and wood from 3 windows and moved some heavy weights to another room! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! I am VERY PLEASED!

This review is for a move in summer 2023. I read both the good and bad reviews on different companies but decided on Brooklyn because they were local to my city. Ezzy happened to be backing up customer support the day I called. I requested for him every time I called back after that and he worked with me throughout the entire process. I have to say Ezzy takes pride in his work and he did a great job. Cannot say the same for every crew member he worked with. The pleasant surprise I got was Brooklyn using a smaller truck to deliver my things, instead of shipping in an 18-wheeler, and Ezzy delivered my stuff. Again, he demonstrated professionalism, even slayed a Karen-dragon in the process (private joke), but again, the same cannot be said for the worker whom he was assigned, who made a nick in the wall of my brand new house. The final price exceeded 30% of the original quote but I did move quite a lot of things. In addition to the nick in my wall, some items were damaged but considering the amount of things I moved, that was not too many. I filed a claim, which took a long time to process. When it was resolved, Brooklyn sent me a check right at the 45-day payment deadline.

One thing that was annoying -- there was no respect for the customer's time. When I requested for the original quote, Ezzy did not show up on the appointed day but there was no update. I did not mind if they had to change the appointment, but I had to call Customer Support several times that day, before I was finally told that he would be there the next day. On the day they were to pick up my things, they told me they would be there in the morning but they did not show up until the evening, with no status update in between. On delivery day, they were also late but I refused to accept delivery at night, so they had to do it the next day.

On the flip side, I changed my move date a couple of times and Brooklyn was very accommodating. They also had to reschedule on the pick-up day, and I flexed with them on that.
