Let's start with everything BLVD did well. Nothing. Okay that's done.

Now the list of everything they've done poorly:

1. Quoted me one price, then arrived the day of the move and despite me having a spreadsheet with my EXACT inventory, they refused to load unless I agreed to a price raise of nearly $1,000.

2. The movers who picked up our stuff dropped boxes. They kicked boxes marked fragile. They dropped 4 plastic storage bins at once shattering two of them. They ripped a king-size mattress. This is all the damage we know if YET because we're not past our delivery window and still have not received our stuff.

3. There was no communication about where our stuff was or when it would be delivered. When we called to ask where it was, we were lied to over and over and over about where it was and when it would arrive. They said at least 5 times though that our stuff would arrive in the delivery window.

4. When our delivery window passed, BLVD moving stopped answering the phone. I know they have caller ID because every other time I called they knew who I was before identifying myself. Our last conversation, the 'customer service' supervisor, and I use that term loosely as she is the rudest human on the planet, said our driver had to 'reset' but would be heading to our destination the next day and when he arrived, we'd be the first delivery.

Was our stuff loaded on a truck and transported here the next day? I don't know because they won't answer the phone. All I know is I am out thousands of dollars and technically owe them thousands more and I don't even know if my stuff exists anymore.

If you look up this company on YELP it says that the majority of their positive reviews originate from the same IP address and warns their review level is likely artificially inflated. I suspect that is the case here as well because every actual customer I have sought out has had a similar experience to mine.

Fraudulent pricing. Damaged Good. And you may or may not actually receive all of your stuff, but you're definitely not getting it on time.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5200

I entered into an agreement to move from San Francisco, CA to Orlando, FL. The salesperson quoted me moving dates of possibly 10-14 days on the phone, and other company representatives and subcontractors involved quoted approximately 10-21 days or a similar number of days. I am now approaching day 21, with no planned delivery date.

The items were picked up on 23 JAN 2022. I contacted the subcontractor a few times to inquire about the status/location of the items being moved. I realize that this is practically a coast-to-coast move and that it can have complications, so I try to be flexible. On 7 FEB 2022 I contacted the company and/or its subcontractor to inquire about item status and was told that the items were in Texas and may arrive in something like "3-5 business days, maybe more...". On 10 FEB 2022 I contacted the company and/or subcontractor and was informed that the actual 30 day window to move things and for them not to pay >30 day penalties was 25 JAN 2022, and that my items were still in Texas.

My concern is for a potential "bait and switch" and/or "false inducement" between the front-of-house salespersons and the back-of-house delivery/driving teams/subcontractors. My concern is also that false expectations are being set by company representatives and/or subcontractors. Some may call it telling lies to win a customer's business. I wish to document this for other potential customers.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6500

I used a pretty cheap, "get the job done" service for my previous two moves, with mixed results. This time around I decided to go for something more legitimate and I'm really glad I did. A team of three movers from BLVD Moving came and packed up our one bedroom in no time whereas previous movers took all day. They were very diligent about wrapping everything carefully; everything arrived to our new apartment intact and damage-free. The team as a whole was very upbeat, can-do, and positive. They were right on time (a huge plus for me) and worked as efficiently as possible to get the job done. I got quotes from at least half a dozen moving companies, and I'm really glad I went with this amazing company.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4988

My only reason for hiring BLVD Moving was how cheaply they quoted. But for the same reason I wasn’t expecting a lot from them. When the men arrived, on time that is, they seemed a little lost. But within 10 minutes they found their groove. I suppose they were really accustoming themselves to the job ahead. From there on, things only got better and better. They packed up everything very quickly and started loading them to the truck waiting outside. They were done with the job quite fast. They made the delivery the next day. I was so pleased to see all my belongings in great shape.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4899

My move was so sudden that I didn’t even have time to pack all my things on my own. I hired BLVD Moving for their full package where they pack all my belongings before moving them. It was a good decision on my part since these guys made my life so easy. The quote they gave me was more than fair. The movers arrived right on time on the moving day. They packed everything immaculately and then loaded the van. I drove to my new house and found them waiting there already. They unpacked and put all my things in place. They literally saved me during this move.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3396

BLVD Moving made me feel comfortable during the entire process. From when I first called in, to them actually coming out to start the move. There was no sales gimmicks, no increase in the cost. THe movers were just nice people, willing to help. All the gentlemen that showed up, they did so early. They were amazing and on time. Communication was never an issue during any attempts when I would call in. Due to the distance of the move, it did take 3 days. But the move was done without any issues.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4500

There are 6 significant issues: 1) There were a significant set of missing items such as coins, a 1700's collectable plate, collector vinyl records. 2) There were more than 1100 pounds of missing general items items such as clothing,shoes,glass shelving for curio cabinets, tools, 3) The Contracted price was raised $3588 from the contract of $11000 when the moving truck arrived. We had no choice but to continue as the house sale required us to vacate. This was after we reduced the amount being shipped by loading a 7x7x8 POD ourselves. We had been promised a reduction when we informed the "Relocation Consultant" Matt Freedman of BLVD Moving. 4)The delivery was late by 4 days without notice. 5) On delivery, we were charged an additional $1400 for delivery of our shipment. 6) There was extensive damage to items due to clearly negligent packing. The estimate of damages, missing items and excess delivery charges totals to $10,966. The company would not respond to us until we filed a BBB complaint. We were not able to resolve even their covering by weight the damaged and missing items.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

Not only did this company almost double the quoted price once they had our belongings but they destroyed a $10,000 pool table and my sons dirt bike magically came up missing after the 1 1/2 hour drive to our new home. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS - THEY WILL BREAK YOUR BELONGINGS AND UP THE CHARGES TO WHATEVER THEY WANT ONCE EVERYTHING YOU OWN IS IN THEIR TRUCKS. THERE WERE MULTIPLE THINGS MISSING AND BROKEN AND THEY REFUSE TO AKNOWLEDGE ANY OF IT. MY ATTORNEY WILL BE NEXT UP WITH THESE GUYS!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $10000

The three men moved a very heavy, nearly brand new sleeper sofa from a third-floor walk-up apartment to my new home in an elevator building. They were polite professional and very competent. They thoroughly wrapped the sofa in blankets then in plastic and it was delivered clean and undamaged. I was there watching the work and I could not have asked for a better job than they did. Their pricing was also very competitive and I thought reasonable given prices from other companies that I had checked out. They were on time and careful not to block Neighbors in the alley who needed to get their cars out . Great job! Thank you BLVD Moving and Storage!

Great company to make my CA-to-KY move with. Everything was as expected from the initial contact for a quote - to the pick-up & loading - the storage for a couple of months - and finally the delivery. Everyone I came in contact with was very polite, professional and always willing to answer any questions I had. My household goods arrived in perfect condition and the delivery guys were on time, very efficient and a pleasure to meet. Thanks BLVD Moving - job well done!

BLVD Moving is a true lifesaver. I had a last minute cancellation with another company due to false promises. Mind you this cancellation was two days before my move date. I lost confidence in even looking for a new company with such a time crunch, but knew I had to. I came across BLVD Moving and man did they know how to make one safe. Really went over the move details and made sure that nothing was left un-explained. Staff is friendly and movers know what they’re doing. Very professional. I recommend anyone moving to give them a try!

Wow, such a great company! Not cheap, but they work with you every step of the way. Communication was great. I’d actually like to mention Ignacio with dispatch. He was really helpful in providing me with updates on my move. Driver was also a very nice guy. Crew was very presentable and took care of my belongings as if they’re own. Delivery window is a bit big, but that doesn’t mean they’ll take the full window. They were pretty fast with my delivery. I believe I received my items two weeks after the pick up date. Overall great experience!

Anyone interested in a class action. I have an attorney. BLVD cost us $11,000 in broken, lost, and stolen items. Their first estimate was high, so we obtained a POD (which was great, 5 stars for them) to reduce stuff by 20%. When they came to evaluate they said they'd give us the "NEW" price. Which they did, the day of the move. It was higher. They were late by 5 days. They would not give us our stuff unless we paid them about 4500 extra. They dumped boxes and furniture everywhere and were supposed to help us unpack but did not. They refuse to even talk to us. I wanted at least their over charges, both on packup day and delivery day (which is a breech of contract and does not fall under their 60 cents rule) along with their measley 60 cent crap, plus the fact that we were actually under the weight they charged us. BLVD Moving is NOT a good company!

I know the moving industry as a whole has a lot of bad companies and even worse people, but BLVD is right at the top of these horrible posers. They brag about being a family-owned company, not a broker, and yet the owner OWNS A MOVING BROKERAGE and uses it to his advantage. They have countless complaints against them - far more than any other moving company - and their salespeople spit out lie after lie in the hopes you'll book with them.

For example, they say they have offices and warehouses in other states. Both their Las Vegas address and Dallas address are simply mail-drops - MailLink and PostNet respectively.

And they say the deposit is fully refundable, yet they challenge every cancelation and make you jump through hoops to get even a $100 deposit back.

The owner has another company called DANDY MOVERS - that "business address" is a house. And his third company, FIRST WORLD VAN LINES, uses a fictitious NY address with a Mazatlan, Mexico zip code; their Florida address is the address of American Van Lines. Don't believe me? The majority of their moves end up costing much more than quoted, even when their in-home estimator - a so-called "expert" with years in the business - shows up to your house to give you an "honest quote."

They ripped my parents off so bad - their move from Northern California to Vermont ended up costing double what they said it would, and that was after they took over an hour doing a virtual estimate. Even worse - my folks had LESS things when they moved than what was listed on the inventory, and it still cost more!

They also promise to disassemble furniture on pickup, and reassemble the furnishings in your house on delivery. Nope! Instead, they move it all into the living room and leave.

No matter how you slice it, BLVD Moving is a slimy AF company that should be avoided at all costs!

I cannot emphasize enough the sheer horror we endured with BLVD Moving during our move from Seattle to Brooklyn. This was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience of our lives. Here's a comprehensive list of the countless issues we encountered:

Last-Minute Rescheduling: Just one day before our scheduled pick-up, BLVD Moving casually informed us that they had to reschedule. This lack of professionalism and disregard for our time was utterly unacceptable.

Excessive Delays and Threats: On the day of pick-up, the moving team from BLVD Moving arrived a staggering 7 hours late. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to threaten not to pick up our items simply because of their tardiness. Their lack of accountability and respect for our belongings left us utterly flabbergasted.

Unjustified Price Increase: Despite having received a quote initially, BLVD Moving shamelessly demanded almost double the amount, providing no legitimate justification for the increase. They based their charges on a mere visual estimate, completely disregarding the virtual online tour quote we had previously agreed upon. We were forced to pay under duress as we had to vacate our apartment the next day.

Unresponsiveness and Inconsistent Agents: Communication with BLVD Moving was an absolute nightmare. They were unresponsive, and to make matters worse, they constantly switched agents assigned to our case. This resulted in a loss of vital information and a frustrating lack of continuity throughout the entire process.

Premature Shipment: Despite our explicit instructions not to ship our items until we provided confirmation, BLVD Moving ignored our requests and proceeded to ship our belongings anyway. This forced us to frantically contact them repeatedly, wasting precious time and causing unnecessary stress.

Unreasonable Delivery Charges: To deliver our items, BLVD Moving insisted on using large semi-trucks, even though our belongings were already located in a local storage facility in the delivery city. Consequently, they slapped us with an exorbitant $300 charge. This lack of flexibility and consideration for our specific needs was outrageous.

Mixed-Up Delivery: Upon finally receiving our items, we were horrified to discover that some of the delivered items were not ours. BLVD Moving's incompetence and negligence led to a chaotic mix-up, leaving us to sort out their mess.

Lost and Damaged Items: As if the previous issues weren't enough, BLVD Moving managed to lose and/or damage our belongings, resulting in losses amounting to nearly $7000 USD. Their unhelpfulness and lack of urgency in rectifying the situation were utterly disheartening. We spent weeks desperately trying to locate our items, only to be met with empty promises and indifference.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against using BLVD Moving for your relocation needs. Their unprofessionalism, unresponsiveness, and disregard for customer satisfaction are truly disconcerting. They resort to intimidation tactics, demanding full payment upfront and leaving you with no alternatives. Save yourself the distress and seek out a reputable moving company that values their customers' belongings and provides a stress-free experience.
