Stay Away from Anthem.

Stay Away
poor communication between who are in the office and the truck drivers.
so you will not have ETA ,
you call , they took your information but no body call you back to give you the estimate time to arrive .
poor, gap, bad communication between them . also I noticed the truck driver they don't follow what's been told to them , they don't go by order or any rules.
the people in the office are not helpful except Sara.
she could refund me about 600$, but still not satisfied because is been 30 days and I didn't fet my stuff yet.
she refund me because they admitted it they delay.
not satisfied , I start feeling my stuff is gone.
some people got there stuff within one week and some took 40 days, and the silly thing is no difference of what they pay.
you could pay 1000$ and your stuff could be arrive within 40 days or could be arrived within 5 days..Silly.
I will not recommend dealing with this company at all.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Colorado

Scam.

When I called for estimate price was $5600. Second estimate whent up till $ 8700. When movers came the box truck was half full and they have to come back twice. Also, the price went up till 12k. Claiming that I have 2000 plus cubic feet. When box truck is 1700 cb. Ft.. movers left stuff behind.
The manegment team lying and don't follow up with a client.

Move.

I recently used Anthem Moving Services to move my family from Coral Springs, Florida to Lexington, Kentucky. The move went smoothly and was basically stress free. The office staff and the guys that did the move were professional, polite and respectful. They focused on getting the job done fast, while at the same time, taking every precaution to handle my contents carefully. They've earned my business for all my future moves and I highly recommend.

So rude.

I was speaking with a rep for a quote. He put me on hold and another person was on the phone. It was hard to have a conversation with all the background noise. I felt like it was a telemarketing place- anyway I changed my mind when I found out I would be sharing a truck-I was getting half of a 26 foot truck. I said I don’t want to do that I want to cancel. That’s when Jordan said ok- I didn't want to deal with you anyway. Customer service?!?

Do not trust this company!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This company completely screwed us over. We booked with them a month in advance to help us move furniture from a Pod into our new apartment. Two days before the date we had set, they called to say they were running a day behind, which completely threw everything off since we planned to move in that day and my husband already called off work, we had to get everything changed which was a hassle but we weren’t too worried since we figured it would just be 1 day without our furniture. The next day comes and they said they would meet us at our pod from 10 to 2. My husband and I live about an hour away So he called them that morning to confirm they’re still going to be there and they said yes. Once 1 o’clock comes we start to get worried since we have not heard from them, My husband calls them and they said they will call us back once they “figure something out” Which did not make sense because this was already planned. Once 2:30 hits They tell us their truck broke down. I understand things happen but I feel like this company is full of [EDIT]. My husband and wasted his time driving an hour to show up in a pod that since he was alone he couldn’t even get any of the stuff from. Now we’re working on getting a refund and calls are going straight to voicemail. I’m not someone who writes reviews but I thought I would save someone else the hassle. Do not trust this company!!

Long-distance move from Jersey City, NJ to Providence, RI

The worst experience!

The worst moving experience I have ever had! it took multiple phone calls over the course of many days prior to my moving date to find out when the truck was coming. On the day of moving, I again had to call to find out when the truck was coming (despite their claim to call 2hrs before arriving) and they arrived later than when the dispatcher stated they would be there. I was told same day delivery over the phone however, they arrived late and took their time loading the truck to ensure no same day delivery. The guy even had the audacity to ask for a tip at the end of day 1. The inventory list was the vaguest list I have ever seen. The driver/guy overseeing the move and dealing with the paperwork demanded I pay in cash but when I called the company, they said they can take cash/certified check and if the guy were to give me trouble again, that I call the company in front of them - super sketchy!! On day 2, I had to personally go to the truck to ensure they unloaded all of my boxes otherwise they would've left with a good number of my items, and even still, due to poor inventory list, I still lost a box (of pots and pans). When I called the driver to tell him (about 15mins after he left), he told me he would check the truck and call me back but I got no phone call. I filed a claim obviously, along with claims for my damaged furniture - dents and scratches on all the furniture. God knows if I will get my money claimed for those lost/damaged goods because the inventory was [EDIT] garbage - poorly seen on the carbon copy paper that I have.
I was told to be warned that these companies do [EDIT] like this and I am forwarding the same warning to others who would like to use Anthem Moving Services for their moving. Absolute garbage and I would give them 0 stars if I could. Do NOT use this company.

Long-distance move from Columbus, OH to Austin, TX

Terrible Experience, Never Again.

Absolutely the most stressful and unprofessional experience I've ever had with a company. I don't understand how they're in business.

The movers who picked up my stuff didn't arrive until almost midnight (4 hours late), parked illegally, and then blamed me to the security guard (who spent the next hour yelling at me). They left without giving me my inventory list or insurance paperwork, leaving a bunch of moving materials in my hallway. I complained to the rep I'd been talking with, who promised Customer Service would be in touch. They never were.

The next three weeks (21 full days), I had to call customer service over and over to figure out where my stuff was (no one knew), when it would arrive (no one knew), or when I would get my insurance paperwork (I have yet to receive it). I understand there's a level of uncertainty with long drives across country, but if I hadn't hunted down the information I would have been sitting in an empty apartment for three weeks with no information or check-ins.

When the movers finally arrived, they got here in a different truck (despite the rep who'd sold me on the company by promising that they'd never move my stuff off the initial truck). This new truck was too big to get to my building, so I had to pay an extra $100 "long carry charge" out of pocket.

There was damaged furniture, a broken mirror, and a suitcase with an old laptop and about $200 worth of exercise gear was completely missing. I legitimately considered not even calling about it because it was worth $200 just to never have to talk to these people again.

Now I'm in the middle of filing a claim (which was like pulling teeth because the initial movers left without giving me the inventory list or insurance). The only way they will be able to redeem themselves even a bit is if I can get this suitcase back.

If you're considering Anthem Moving, run in the opposite direction. It's not worth the "match or beat" price. You end up spending the money you saved on hidden fees, time spent on the phone, and lost luggage.

Deceptive Business Practices.

In dealing with this company I have found that I was not told the truth about cancellation of my move. I was told by Michael over the phone that I could CANCEL ANY TIME and would only be charged a fee of 150.00. Not once did he mention that I had to cancel within 48 hours to receive the refund. He stated this several times when I was hesitant to hire them, he also stated that they could not take my credit card because they could not prove that it belong to me, that I would have to send them a e-check for the deposit of 1014.00 which I did like a dummy. I also did not read the six page contract he emailed me because I believed what he told me over the phone, which I think they know that most people don't read the whole thing. Our move was scheduled for Aug 30, 2019 I called on July 2, 2019 to cancel the move and also send a email stating the same on July 3, 2019. After numerous phone calls I was told I was not going to get a refund. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY all I want is the 864.00 refunded to me.

Long-distance move from Athens, GA to Arlington, VA

HORRIBLE- Exact Same as the Other Reviews Said.

I had a very similar experience to what everyone else is saying. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the 5 star reviews are all staff. I called to get a quote and was told they could move my stuff within my budget. They seemed very professional at the time going over all of the contract and inventory. I was basically moving bedroom furniture and boxes. Not a lot and I was told multiple times that the space allotted for me was more than enough. Because "things change," I couldn't be given an exact date when the movers would pick my stuff up but was given a 2 day range. I thought this was weird because I've selected exact pick up dates before, but went along with it. After calling the night before the pick up date range, I was told that they still couldn't tell me when the movers would be there. At this moment, I realized how disorganized the company was and wasn't even sure anyone would actually get my stuff but it was too late to find another company. The day of the pick up, the driver called to tell me they had truck issues and would be delayed..of course. I was leaving at 7am to drive up to VA from GA the next day so the company needed to find an alternative option fast. There was no back up plan because the company doesn't really seem to care about the actual move. The driver had to show up at 6am, 6 hours after my lease was technically over so that's another issue, in a rented Penske truck (not official at all), and then told me I had too much stuff so it would be an extra $1000. He said I could contact customer service to work this out and I wouldn't have to pay it until delivery. I had no other option at this point, so I said ok. My new apartment building has a strict move in policy with hours and days that it is allowed, which I told the company multiple times, and of course the driver shows up outside of that window. For some reason, the driver then decided to drive my stuff all the way back to where I was moving from instead of putting it in storage in the new location. Or so this was what he said to make me feel like they were trying to make a timely delivery. No one in the company returned my calls when I asked about the extra $1000 charge, or when I should expect my delivery. It was up to me, the customer, to repeatedly call and wait on hold to get any idea of what was going on. Once again, completely unprofessional. I was promised 5 different times about my delivery date. After being lied to repeatedly and no one responding, I left a voicemail and sent an email to Adam that I was filing a claim with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and magically Sarah called me within 10 minutes. There are no words to explain the level of frustration from this process. Sarah admitted that there is no reason I should have to pay an extra $1000, so that was a win. It is clear the strategy is lock you in at a low price and then add on at pickup when you have no other option. I'm sure some people just pay the extra amount, and if the customer fights it, then they claim its a mistake. The driver finally showed up the next morning after driving all night since my stuff was still 10 hours away. The driver seemed just as annoyed with the company as I was. If I had known what moving with Anthem was like, I would have dealt with the hassle of using a u-haul and packing/moving on my own. And if you did have a horrible experience with Anthem like the rest of us, file a claim with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration so they can't continue this practice.
