Great experience overall with Anglo Pacific Full House UK to NZ Aug 12.

I carried out a lot of research prior to choosing Anglo Pacific to ship 25 years of our belongings and vehicles to NZ from the UK - a 40ft and 20ft containters full in the end; a returning kiwi. I uncovered that Ango contract their own packing teams as oppoposed to some others who subcontact the packing to local removal firms. The pre planning with our co-ordinator was a bit haphazard cause they were so busy; but the Anglo Packing team that arrived were superb - very very thorough export packing. Everything was on time and very professionally done. We got some items on arrival at our request but ended up storing everything for nearly a year with NZ Van Lines. We have not long finished receiving everything onto our new house. We had one broken bowl and one broken wine glass and some minor damage to some exceptionally heavy items - exceptional considering all the movements involved.  One tip - New Zealand are very hot on vehichle chassis rust - make sure your car has none, or is repaired before you export! I wanted to write a positive review for Anglo Pacific, because it was very hard to confidently make a choice prior to our move - and overall our exxperience - whilst not all smooth was very good. The key thing is that all our stuff arrived in good condition and on time.

Anglo Pacific - DO NOT USE.

Anglo Pacific has the appearances of a competent international company that has been established for sometime, therefore suggesting that the service provided would be of the highest quality. The initial support provided when arranging time for delivery and the provision of boxes at speed supported this claim.
However, as soon as my posessions were collected the problems started!
1) Boxes lost – from Birmingham to London
2) Delivery to Spain – took over 1 month when it was stated that it would be 7-10 days
3) Highly expensive items were damaged on delivery
4) Insurance claim – final quote was significantly lower than what should have been paid
5) 6 months to conclude the process6) Extremely unhappy and dissatisfied customer
Would never use this company again or recommend to anyone!

Anglo Pacific - avoid at all costs.

I had an agreement with Anglo Pacific to move my belongings from the UK to New Zealand, this was a full service and included unpacking and the like.

Not only did this company fail to unpack my belongings at the destination, they damaged a considerable amount of my belongings and then dragged (over 3 years) out the compensation process.

This was at a very difficult time for my family as we had recently lost a baby, Anglo Pacific did not care about this.

After years of writing to Anglo Pacific, with no success, I had no choice to commence court proceedings and got a county court judgment in my favour. At the hearing the Director of Anglo Pacific "did not care" about my families circumstance. His attitude was that of a uncaring and cash greedy individual.

My recommendation, avoid this company at all costs. They will only bring misery to your life.

Terrible.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY, DO NOT USE ANGLO PACIFIC.  The salesperson was so keen to make the sale, I was told exactly what I wanted to hear with little regard to my actual requirements. I have since been subjected to delays, a number of incompetent staff and hidden charges and nasty surprises. As you have to pay up front you have very little leverage when it comes to resolving a dispute. 13 weeks (advised typically 3 weeks), numerous calls and emails and still no goods! This is what they call a quick, efficient, and hassle free service..I don't think so!  .

Do Not Use Them.

I am very disappointed. Had I read these reviews, I would not have used Anglo Pacific.
My Mother passed away and I live in America. My husband and I flew to England to empty my deceased parents home in 1 1/2 weeks! 4 different customer service people were sending me emails asking me to fill out forms. With no WiFi, no home phone and being stressed to start with, I had to sort the house into boxes for charity and boxes for me to ship back to the US. I was asked to fill out insurance forms before even packing and emptying the house not knowing all the items I would be shipping. However, I was told forms had to be filled ASAP! Nearly all the very fragile items were packed in 2 boxes. The larger box had Lladro wrapped in white paper which really should have been bubble wrapped and one piece arrived broken in 3 places! Not a cheap item but I am told that I am not covered on the insurance form and therefore will not be paid out for not itemizing ALL my shipped items. Obviously being such a stressful time for me, according to them I did not fill out the forms correctly and the items were not updated on the insurance forms at the time of packing as we were not able to enter the room where 3 packers - who were very pleasant from the Manchester office - rushed to pack 12 boxes in 1 1/2 hours. Big mistake of ours!
Of course they don't care what your situation is or was and refuse to pay out money to me even though they have proof of value. They will always find a way to make their money and keep it. Their shipment and they did not tell me how much more I would have to pay with another mover in Florida!
I would not recommend them even though I was pleased with how fast they packed but as a few of my glass items were chipped and everything was showing to the delivery movers at my end in FL. , packing quickly doesn't pay! For sure it was a problem with the packing in the UK. The moving company in FL were way more professional amazingly! Do not use! Getting advice.

Poor.

We had previously used Pickfords and had a good experience. From the reviews, we thought Anglo-Pacific would be similar quality, at a 15% cheaper price point based on the quotations. Unfortunately not, for reasons I think is well-reflected in some of the most recent reviews..

The main issue - we asked for delivery in Israel 15 August, they collected our goods in the UK on 7th July with a 2-3 week transit time. We have understood from our correspondence that nobody on their side bothered to book the boat until early/mid August. The result - delivery a month late (compounded by a further 1-week delay as a result of high winds at the port)..

Other secondary issues - a sarcastic guy who collected our goods full of comments about our items that made us uncomfortable; not bringing enough boxes and papers to complete the collection on the intended day; lack of responsiveness to communications (in one case, 13 days); poor or absent labelling of the boxes.

To be fair, when we raised the complaint, we were offered a small amount of compensation. However, this was a fraction of the amount of extra cost we had incurred as a result of the delay, so we refused it unless they upped the amount, which they refused.

On the other side, the local delivery agents on the Israeli side were excellent, and AP were helpful when we needed to retrieve an item that had accidentally been put into shipping.

It should be ZERO stars, or even less..

Simple - I placed all my belongings in the 'care' of Anglo Pacific storage prior to a move to USA. When that didn't happen, I asked them to return my consignment.
Simple - they couldn't find it. They lost everything I owned. Everything, including many personal and professional items that no insurance could cover. Yes they paid the face value insurance, but I had to take them to court to recover all the fees and other costs spent on unfulfilled services.
No idea if they ever really looked for my things at the time, or have since made any effort to trace them. They have ignored my written request for information and offer of a contribution to costs of return.
Imagine - losing everything. That's what Anglo Pacific did to me.

Anglo Pacific lost EVERYTHING I owned!

DO NOT TRUST AP WITH YOUR VALUED POSSESSIONS.
Through neglect and incompetence they somehow lost EVERYTHING I owned, having put my belongings in storage with them, pending a move to the States - later abandoned.
I would give the company a ZERO stars, even a minus, if that were possible.
When you pack away your life after 70 years, there will be many, many items that no insurance can cover. Frankly, you don’t expect a so-called ‘professional’ storage/removal company to lose all the belongings entrusted to their care. But clearly AP cannot be trusted.
Yes, they paid the insurance face value, but that does not compensate for such things as lost family heirlooms and irreplaceable memorabilia, 40+ years of original creative work, etc.
Then, after they had lost everything I owned, I had to take AP to court to recover all the fees and other costs - £2000+ - I’d paid them - for nothing.
I have asked them repeatedly to tell me if they ever found any of my shipment - they do not even have the courtesy or decency to reply. If you become a problem for AP, they will not respond.
Reminder: this was not just a missing box, a few damaged valuables - they lost EVERYTHING, my whole life disappeared.
Anglo Pacific are INCOMPETENT and UNPROFESSIONAL to an extent bordering on the criminal. You cannot trust them, do not use them.

Quick to take your money and brilliant at losing your stuff.

We had our stuff packed and shipped from the UK to Australia by these cowboys. It was all great at first, pretty much what you'd expect when you deal with "professionals" - nice on the phone, emails etc. They took a long time to get the goods shipped but we waited patiently to receive many badly packed items and broken/damaged goods. Worst of all they lost a suitcase of ours which contained expensive formal clothes, some of which was worn at a recent family wedding and had sentimental value for us. "We have insurance" so we thought. After weeks of filling out forms and numerous nudges to the company we were told that a) our excess was greater than the cost of the damaged items and b) the specific number of boxes as packed was delivered and hence there is no proof that the case was actually lost. Given that we didn't pack our boxes, how does that rationale actually work?!
I have tried (and still am!) trying to at least get an answer to my complaint to senior management but getting nowhere. They clearly exercise the exhaustive approach to make complaints go away as they must have many disgruntled customers. I wish we had used a different company.

UK to Sydney - great in the UK, fell down at the other end!

So on the whole, the run up to leaving the UK went really smoothly, the guy that can to quote had some really good advice and everything went really well packing up the house..

However.. make sure you clarify what the terms mean. On arrival we were given a bill for customs, the quote states in one part that -
Destination customs and quarantine clearance but excluding any incidental fees are included, and then later states -
Quarantine inspection fees, customs examination fees are excluded.
As someone that does not move internationally on a regular basis (lets face it who is!) this is very misleading and led to a further bill of $480. We are also being charged additional fees for delivery (even though the quote stated door to door) as there was a steep drive way up to the apartment, apparently as the company needs to hire a smaller vehicle, again, I would expect a removals company to have a fleet available to meet the needs of the destination city.
