Move from Vancouver to Ontario

I normally don’t write reviews however i am very disappointed with Amj Campbell and how they managed our move and their complete lack of customer service. I will keep this brief and factual from my point of view. I paid for packing unpacking. Original Quote given from amj and final bill were completely different. 17% higher and we were never advised until the day of unloading where they demanded payment. The loading of our house in Vancouver took well over 13 +hours and when we left our house, they still hadn’t finished and our belongings were strewn out all over our driveway and front yard. Only two movers showed up and one of them left part way through, as he had a previous engagement! At one point the driver asked me if I could help with dismantling furniture and bringing things down to the truck! The driver told me that this move was not well planned out! When we unpacked everything was mislabeled. I never heard from anyone after being given the original quote and was never advised of any changes until the day of payment. If I had known that the quote was subject to a 17% change, I would have gone with another company. The customer service I received was appalling and I was treated very poorly by senior management and all I heard was excuse after excuse as to why things happened. Prior to this move, I had moved 5 times with my company and never experienced (with different moving companies) such issues and I would never use or recommend amj Campbell to anyone and be very suspect of their quotes and the final costs. Also do not expect any empathy or support in regards to their customer service if you experience any issues. Very disappointed!

Worst Moving Company AMJ and their partners

We have moved multiple times but last October we hired AMJ Campbell from their local Cambridge Ontario office. The Sales folks over promise and delivery folks not aware off what was promised . We have quoted for two small truck load and moving day in October 2020 One truck was sent. The movers were in a hurry and damaged our stuff on delivery and damaged our property as well. Over and above the worst is their claim process which does not offer any value of the belongings which was damaged by their movers. Please stay away from this one

Local move from Vancouver, BC to Oliver, BC

Moved 3 years ago

Moved three years ago from Vancouver to the Okanagan. The movers were late, misjudged the size of the load and had to put stuff on another truck which took an extra week to get.

When the movers arrived they ask for another $400.00 before they would unload for some extra costs… which was never explained.

They didn’t have all of our belongings and left us with someone else’s junk.

Never did get our belongings back.

We are moving again and would never use or recommend these folks.

Hi Richard, Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. This move transpired 3 years ago, there was no claim submitted for missing items, there was no claim submitted for unnecessary charges and there has been no claim submitted from a companion shipment that would indicate items delivered were not the consignees.

Do not use this moving company

Don't know why we didn't do more review research, but ourselves and many others have not had a good experience with these movers. We couldn't be around for moving day due to logistics, but if we had they wouldn't gotten away with the shenanigans they pulled off. They opened all our sealed wardrobe boxes and stuffed them full of living room things, like our end tables. We felt our privacy was encroached on... At the other end, boxes labelled "kitchen" were in the basement, and vice versa. Other boxes clearly labelled "This side up" were upside down. The list goes on. Their estimate was a few thousand shy of what they said.

Local move from Pembroke, ON to Timmins, ON

Terrible

We moved within Ontario and decided to use AMJ Campbells.

The day before the move I still had no idea when the items would be delivered to our new address 7 hours away. One employee told me it would be delivered the day after the move which meant I would have had to drive to our new destination instead of helping with the move, which I was prepared to do. We were told to ask the driver for a timeline when they arrived. The movers on the Pembroke side were great. That is why I am giving a 2 star review. They were fast, they knew what they were doing and they had a guy who was working his first day who was courteous and polite. These guys were great and if I was just reviewing them, I would give a much higher rating. No one knew where the truck was going and when it would arrive. For some reason, a second group of movers came down from out of town (someone said they were from Timmins but that was never clarified) about an hour before the group had finished and it became chaos. This group had no idea what they were doing and kept grabbing items the other guys and I had set aside that were not to be packed. There were too many people and only half of them had communicated with us. Was I charged for these other movers to come down and stay in a hotel? Why on earth were they there? I have no idea. They then changed drivers for some reason which has yet to be explained to me, and brought the truck down to Barrie (we moved to Timmins) and then finally to Timmins two days after they loaded the truck. Once again, not sure why that decision was made considering it is in the complete opposite direction. Barrie is south, Timmins is North. When they arrived to our new place (6 hours after we were told they would arrive after finally getting some clarification because no one was communicating with us) they unloaded and every single doorframe was scratched up and the paint was chipped in our new home. I have no idea why my stuff was in Barrie, why two groups of movers were brought in at different times in Pembroke and why the communication was so lacking.

Move From Kanata, Ontario to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia 2021

I just wanted to say how extremely disappointed I am with most of my AMJ Campbell move experience. Having served more than thirty-two years in the Canadian Armed Forces, I experienced many Government funded and sponsored moves within Canada and overseas. At least one of those as with AMJ Campbell. Those moves went very well, perhaps due to the oversight of military transport members monitoring these moves from start to finish. As a retired veteran I paid for this entire move and storage on my own. As a member of the CF One program I was entitled to some level of discount on my move. I was also entitled to earn a small amount of Aeroplan points for hiring AMJ Campbell as my mover. Sadly, I'm unable to claim that I received any discount and certainly will not receive any Aeroplan points because I was unable to obtain full accounting and receipt for my move including pack, storage and delivery to destination? The requirement also requests a bill of lading which is also an omission. The handling of my furniture and effects was not at a professional level at my home in Kanata (August 2021) or at my new home in Dartmouth (December 2021). I'm reminded of this by the chipped, scratched and dented items in my home and the items that ended up at the curb headed for the landfill. I accept that a December 29th move-in with cold weather would not be ideal conditions however there should be a standard level of care provided. It would be difficult to ascertain when all of the damages occurred. I have indicated my dissatisfaction, and I have requested a detailed accounting of my costs associated with move-out, storage, interprovincial transportation and move-in. I had been asking for this documentation since January 7, 2022 (moving coordinator Ottawa) and a follow-up (member of Accounting Ottawa) late February 2022. The Ottawa office has gone silent and the Halifax/location never responded.

Avoid AMJ Campbell Van Lines

If you are considering a move, do not hire this company ... the crew that loaded our the contents of our 3 bedroom home near Edmonton, AB were entirely incompetent and careless ... they arrived several hours late, wrongly contradicted many things that we were told by the salesperson (ie. that we were supposed to dismantle lamps, beds, etc), failed to have proper equipment to move our piano, stickered items to be moved that any sensible person would know were not leaving the premises (ie. concrete bench from the patio), threatened to leave a mattress behind that they had difficulty securing properly, and damaged several items.

The crew that offloaded the van at our new home on Vancouver Island were knowledgeable and hardworking ... however, they were not supplied with any paperwork regarding our shipment and had issues with the condition of the trailer supplied to them by AMJ Campbell/Atlas which caused them to be delayed enroute having to replace unsafe tires ... the driver and a single crew member offloaded the van in less time that the incompetent 5 member crew took to load the same contents ...

The headboard of our bed was broken into 5 pieces, a step ladder was missing, a mechanical chair that was in good working order when it left our Edmonton home arrived in non-working condition to name just some of the issues.

Although we purchased expensive additional insurance, the insurer has resisted compensation except for fixing the headboard.

And if this isn't enough to persuade you not to hire this company (or any other Atlas operator),they initially refused the claim to replace the step ladder by relying on a false document ... a bingo sheet with a signature that wasn't mine and the name of a driver we never dealt with ... the actual delivery crew had no bingo sheet for us to sign ... What reputable company proffers a fraudulent document to avoid replacing a $150 step ladder?!

Dishonest Service..Avoid like the plague.

It was truly misfortunate to deal with this dishonest company. They first promised a professional service and good packaging for a reasonable price. We showed them what to fit first (the essentials) but they did not follow the instructions although we trusted they would and did not follow them across the villa or watch what they do, we simply trusted them. The way they packed my effects was very tricky, they filled the boxes with paper and the boxes were quasi empty just to make extra volume. The 20-foot container that was supposed to fit my effects, as inventoried, ended up full with half empty boxes and the container was no longer enough as a result of this. When we asked them to offload so that at least the essentials are fit, they said they can't at that point, and offered to take the rest of the effects and to do it later in the warehouse. We fully trusted they would, but because they knew we have already traveled and left the country and we had no options or recourse, they ended up charging us more than 50% of the original price as if I rented a 40-foot container. They refused to deliver our effects unless we pay the extra exorbitant price. Upon receiving our stuff after we were forced to pay this unfair addition, many items were damaged because they used cheap wrappings even for the fragile items that need coating and buble wrapping like our LCD TV. We have also discovered that items were missing and the effects in the boxes were put randomly without a proper order and proper labeling and most boxes were full with paper and not our effects. We are truly disappointed in this dishonest company and would like to alert others about how this company deals with its customers. For us it was a disastrous move on all fronts. Beware.

Worst Moving Company Ever.

Worst move ever using AMJ Campbell..they take no accountability to replace items that they broke in transit. One employee mockingly said of one broke item "where did it come from the dime store?" Their excuse for other breakage "truck vibration". We are currently at 7 damaged pieces of furniture, 2 missing items, and 2 broken items!

The sales individual servicing the Durham region turned out to be horrible, he pushed what he wanted for our move, not what we asked for..pushed our move out of Barrie rather than the much closer Markham depot.

There are better companies out there read the reviews before contracting. We have our complaint with their with a Senior VP how could only say that "in all his years with the company no complaint had reached him.." what an apathetic response! Suggestion: start reading the bad reviews!

I have escalated by complaint direct to Atlas, maybe they can kick this company in the **.

Terrifying.

I am horrified about their customer service. The person in the Toronto office is nothing short of rude and unhelpful. My shipment from the UK arrived in Toronto on 10 Nov, no one has been in touch with me so I contacted your office and was told it will be unloaded and clear customs shortly. I called a week later (after no contact from you yet again) and waas told it cleared customs and awaits a move to Montreal. After another week of no contact, I was today told that it actually still needs to clear customs and after asking 5 times for the explanation of the procedure, I was finally told it might take a while yet again. It would be helpful if upon arrival of the goods into Canada, the customers were sent the details of the procedure so they know what to expect and even more important is KEEPING US INFORMED. There has been no apology, no empathy and no customer service on the Toronto person's part (Angela, I believe) and she completely ignored my comments and questions about customer service of the company. I would definitely not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Fabulous experience.

We used AMJ Campbell for a local move in Ontario. I thought our quote was very reasonable for a 4 bedroom house spread over 2 days. The lady that did the quote seemed very organized and had Loran's of helpful advice. The movers were friendly, on time, very efficient and protected everything very well. On the second day we had some things that we didn't get packed and they were very helpful. We were charged the exact amount of thebquote and there were no unexpected surprises. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and we will definitely use them again!

We moved large items for a renovation. Our movers were great, they were careful, even moved our slate pool table without an issue. Our contact Chantel Murray was very professional and ensured all of our concerns where taken care of efficiently and professionally. We would and will recommend AMJ CAMPBELL Aswell As Chantel to any of our friends and others who will need moving services in the future.

Accomadateing but Concerning.

We got 3 estimates for our move on January 4th, 2018 moving from Bowmanville Ontario to 3.5 hours east to Cornwall Ontario. AMJ Campbell came in with a middle quote of $4,900. The sales person "Frank" had come to our house and went room to room entering all our possessions into an IPad. When I tried to point out some important things he stated he had to go around the room clockwise. While I thought he wasn't the most sociable type of guy, I believed he had done this many times and was trying to be very systematic so I let him do his job. He based his quote on the time it would take for the load and then for the next day delivery. Frank was the only company of the 3 quotes that followed up on our decision. When we told him we thought the quote was too high he lowered it by basing the move on weight rather then the time involved. The deal on our house got screwed up so we ended up having the movers come the following day. When they showed up the next day they showed up with a 26 foot truck. I told them before they began that I had moved 3 times prior which took a full 53 foot truck because this is a 4 bedroom home. The driver Joseph told me that the previous movers probably did not pack the truck very tightly and that he would get everything on. Well sure enough at the end of the day they got only 90% of it on. The remaining contents of the garage would have to be picked up the next day. Well what if we did not have that flexibility and we had to have everything out on that date? The 3 guys worked very hard that day but I can't say the same for the 2 guys the next day. They moved very slow cause it was really cold outside.
he first truck had to be held overnight because of the distance and time involved. The second truck would be delivered days later from their warehouse. The next day upon move-in the 3 guys again worked very hard. They re-assembled my leather couch that they had taken apart but did not put it back together very well. I addressed this to Joseph and he came back a couple days later to fix the issue. During unpacking I did find a few things broke but not major things that I was compelled to put in a claim for, however I did know that they were a result of packing my contents too tightly. When the second truck came a few days later, they had put some of the things into wardrobe boxes. When I opened those boxes everything was just thrown in half hazardly and as a result again a couple things broke. When you thrown a wreath in a box and then put heavy stuff on top of that, that's not caring for your customers possessions. I don't care if it was garage stuff or not, you are not doing your job properly if you do things like that.
At the end of it all rank calls us and says we had 20,000 pounds worth of stuff which was 6000 pounds over what was estimated!! Really? Well then Frank..I guess you can't do your job very well either. So he says the charge will be another $2000. I told him we are not paying it. He made the bad estimate so why should we pay for his mistake. I told him he didn't know how to do his job very well and he became argumentative that he had been doing this for years. I got a head supervisor to call me back and explained all of this to his boss. We settled at $5200. I gave this company 3 stars because overall the move went well but they lost major points with me from a truck that was too small for the amount of stuff we have and for the salesperson Frank that would probably make a better car salesman then a mover! The best part of the move was Joseph based out of Ottawa. I learned from him after the fact that there is a lot of heat coming down on Frank for his poor estimate of this move.

Would not recommend!

My mother used AMJ for a recent move to her new home just 30 minutes away. While everything looked professional during the move it became clear that something had gone wrong once we started to unpack and check furniture. An entire box of irreplaceable possessions (glass, china & crystal) went missing and has never been found. Multiple pieces of furniture were scratched, dented and chipped. The movers forgot to load items on the truck resulting in my elderly father having to drive back to the old home to retrieve the missing items that night. My mother thought that a refinisher would be sent immediately to try to assess and repair furniture damage but instead she has been put through weeks of emails and claim forms. 6 weeks later we are still waiting to see what recompense will be offered. Will never recommend their services to anyone.

Long-distance move from Gatineau, QC to Ottawa, ON

AMJ Campbell Ottawa sucks.

I was given a quote for a local move. I did all of the packing myself and had all of the boxes I packed numbered and documented. A very detailed itemized list of the boxes and all furniture was given to AMJ Campbell. They obtained other info before giving me the quote such as the number of room, the staircases, and accessibility to the driveway. The quote I was given was $1,860 which included the cost to drive to my house, load the truck, deliver my things to the new house and unload the truck. They were at my house early in the morning and 3.5 hours later everything was loaded and they drove to the new house. They broke a ceiling fixture in the old house that needed to be replaced. Once they were at the new house it was like they were different guys. I noticed the guys became very pokey. It took them 6 hours to unload the truck which was unbelievable considering I had less stairs at the new house. They stopped for an hour to eat but out of the 3 guys only 2 of them were doing any work. I worried because I knew I was being charged by the hour. The bill came to $2,518. A 35% increase compared to the estimate I was given. It took almost double the time to unload the truck than it did to load it. I would have thought loading would take more time as items need to be packed in the truck. Unloading is just pulling the boxes and furniture out.

The bill caused me a lot of trouble considering I trusted the employee when he told me the estimate is always very close (within 10%) to the actual cost. Moving is very stressful and this added a lot more stress as I ended up having to borrow money to pay the overage. This was not a pleasant experience and I would not recommend this company or use them ever again.

Never again.

The intial walk through seemed professional they went through the house and looked at everything we had then sent a quote in a timely manner. Everything went horrible after that.
1. The move date was to be April 15th we booked 6 months in advance. They contacted us a month before saying actually the 15th won’t work for pick up because they don’t work Sundays. They should have checked the day of the week before sending the quote and having us sign the contract. Luckily we were flexible.
2. We were told anything that couldn’t fit in a box minus the TVs would be disassembled, reassembled or packed. We were to provide the mattress covers. We then find out that the wall art was not included and we should purchase covers for them in addition to the original price.
3. Next they say they don’t disassemble the treadmill which was at the house the day of the quote and nothing was mentioned about us disassembling it ourselves. They sent someone to disassemble it and broke a piece.
4. The truck and driver’s stunk of cigarette smoke I stuck my head in the back of the truck and smelled as if they had smoke in there but it was probably all the blankets.
5. The driver walked upstairs in our home with cream coloured carpet, I asked about runners and he said yes we will put them down he was just checking something. Take your damn shoes off then!!
6. They opened not only the front door but the back sliding door so the house was 12 degrees we have a 7 month old baby so I had to take her elsewhere. I understand the front door but no reason for the back to be open there was only one thing outside to bring in.
7. They broke a bunch of branches off the tree in the front yard pulling their truck right into it with no care
8. The truck was too small so they moved all day then had us return the next morning to load the rest which was kept in the garage overnight. We were told he ran out of blankets so the morning movers would wrap the stuff. Luckily we had family to stay with in the area overnight or we would have also had to pay for a hotel for the night to be able to come back the next morning.
9. We also had to have the landlord and cleaner re-arrange their plans and the cleaner we hired because of AMJ’s delay.
10. The following day they were late I called and they said they had the wrong address.
11. It was pissing rain and all the stuff was in the garage so everything near the door was getting wet but no common sense to move it into the truck first or to somewhere where it wouldn’t get wet.
12. Well moving on the arrival in Ottawa it did not arrive on time as within the scheduled time frame, I will give them that the weather wasn’t great. But the second load also didn’t arrive on time.
13. When they arrived to unload the gentleman in charge told the one teenager not walk across the muddy lawn and use the driveway so he wouldn’t track the dirt in the house. The first wise comment I heard. Anyway they argued outside for a bit and the guy left leaving two others to unload everything the other young man was very pleasant and worked his butt off to get the job done.
14. Multiple things were damaged including a large mirror that wasn’t wrapped with blankets as promised and an antique dresser was nailed together that simply needed the back plate screwed back on(what kind of idiot does that?)
15. The only professional employees were the french guys(sorry I can’t find his card with his name)that came from Montreal to unload the second load although they broke our office chair because it was thrown in without care. They assembled all the stuff that the first ones had disassembled without moaning and were efficient.
16. Ofcourse we had to spend time and pay for a new treadmill part on arrival as well which is just one more thing I didn’t really need to do with the move and a small baby.
17. All in all a total disappointment. I chose your company on recommendation from a friend but since have spoke with others who have horror stories as well.

Relocation.

We moved last week from the Brampton area to the Waterloo Region. From beginning to end, no issues. No damage to the home we moved from nor any damage to the new home we moved into. And just as important, there was no damage to any of our furniture or belongings. Alda, the relocation consultant was professional and offered a number of suggestions that would make our move easier. The quote was reasonable as well. No surprises on the final bill. The four movers we had were great guys. Professional, hard working and didn't stop moving until the work was completed. Mike, Calvin, Marcus and Daniel..you guys are the best! We would use AMJ Campbell's services again and would highly recommend them based on our experience.

The salesman ensured us that the transfer of our stuff will be effortless on our part. This includes all neccessary steps and paperwork. Wow did Bruce ever lie. Not only did he lie, he decided to go on vacation while our goods was being loaded and while it was on the water. Now there is nothing wrong with going on vacation, but when you don't give it to someone else in the company to take care of it then there is a problem. It ran into so many issues as Bruce did not file the proper paperwork that we had to wait an extra 40 days to get our stuff. Did we get compensated..NO. In fact we got charged with 114 euros for storage fees as they held it at the border. Thanks Bruce and Amj Cambell for all the hard work and stupidity. No wonder your company is going down. It is unfortunate for the rest of the people in AMJ who actually take their work seriously.

Damaged house and property.

When they show up they try to upsell you at the door on taking out insurance on THEIR employees!  I told them they should have their own insurance, if I pay for insurance they won't even try to do a good job since I have them covered.  The deductible is so large that the insurance is useless anyway.  They damaged the house moving items in, and also damaged a small piano.  Customer service was slow, and refused to help.  Never again. .

International Disaster.

Bottom line: Do not trust this company. They lie and do not show up on moving day - even if you submit to their overpriced quote. They are irresponsible and incompetent. With much advance notice, a move from the USA to Canada had been arranged over the telephone and email many times, including the transfer of important documents required for Canada Customs. Written assurances including a confirmation number and a registration number were repeatedly provided. I thought that agreeing to an unreasonable quote (tantamount to highway robbery) would provide enough of a financial incentive to get the job done.     Nope. One day before the actual move date, I did not receive a call to confirm a packing and loading time. No one in Mississauga responded to my repeated calls or emails on this day. The next day, being the actual move day, no one showed up. After more desperate phone calls and emails, someone finally responded. I never got a straight answer but it seemed as if no one passed on the registration number across the border. I cannot confirm this because every time I spoke to someone different, I received a different (and equally untrustworthy) response. At times, the person on the other end of the line had the audacity to become annoyed at my repeated calls when it was their actions that put me in this awful predicament. Unfortunately my plane tickets were booked the following day to coincide with the end of my rental lease. Without a place to stay, I had to leave the country but I also had no place to store my goods. No other moving companies were available. At such short notice, not even junk disposal companies were available. Aside from what I could take on the plane, I had to take the painful step of personally destroying all my worldly possessions which were all in good working order. To add insult to injury, while I was physically on the plane from the USA to Canada, AMJ Campbell had emailed me to say that because I hadn't responded to their email within a few hours, they assumed I had found another moving company and my case was now closed. As a final spit in the face, now I have to purchase everything again that I had been forced to destroy. I thought that having spoken to someone over the phone and receiving email updates frequently with confirmation and registration numbers in hand - even agreeing to an unreasonable quote - made the move a done deal. I was wrong. In the end, none of this amounted to anything. I was still hung out to dry. As a direct result of this experience, I will never recommend AMJ Campbell to any decent human being on this earth. This company is utterly incompetent and irresponsible. They have caused me a great deal of pain and hardship - something I will never forgive or forget!

Bad experience with AMJ Campbell moving services.

My move took place on December 14 2012, I hired AMJ Campbell mainly because I thought I would be wiser to deal with a big company that stands behind their name. Their estimate was not much higher in comparison with smaller companies that did not specialize in south border long distance moves, except that the other two companies I had considered were giving me a fixed price based on a full truck and not by weight, I had one estimate for CAD $3,577 and the other CAD $3800, AMJ Campbell's estimate came in at USD $4084, based on a detailed list following an in person visual of all the items to be moved. The salesman came over twice, once  for the initial consult and a second time when we signed the documents, and he took my credit card information, he initially based his price on a total weight of approximately 7000 lbs., but then he sent me an email at 5:00 PM the day before the move revising the weight estimate to 8000 lbs. instead of 7000lbs.! Needless to say, it was too late at that point, and I did not want to get more stressed out as it was already a difficult time and an emotional and stressful move. Mr Groulx was up to that point very pleasant professional and reassuring, he made me feel comfortable that everything would go smoothly, and he promised that they would start early because there was a cut off time for the use of the elevator which was at 5:00 pm, all buildings have that regulation. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way, the movers were supposed to arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, they showed up at 11:00 and the huge 55 footer showed up at 2:00PM, he supposedly got delayed at the border!! not my problem mine was to finish the move before the cut off time!. So they started rushing, it was chaotic and disorganized, we did not finish until 9:00 PM, I got yelled at several times by the security guards and the manager of the building, they threatened to stop the move, in which case it could only resume on Monday. since It was a Friday and no moving is allowed on the weekend, I lost my $250 elevator deposit for violating the rules. It was a horrible day that I wish I could forget! the truck arrived to Cleveland a day earlier than promised, the driver had his father and two local men unloading, the work was not professional, they banged the sofa into the wall breaking the foot of the sofa and causing damage to the wall, they scratched the wood floors, my leather sofa was scraped on the arm, a dresser had a broken leg, and my antique armoire door was broken. and when they were finished I was handed a copy of a receipt for an amount  that had already been charged on my credit card without my knowledge or permission for $5,430, which  is $1,346 higher than the estimate. They did not respect their own contract which states that I would not have to pay more than 110% of the non-binding estimate of cost.

I moved many times in my life this was the worst move ever! I called Mr Groulx and complained about the price and the damages, nothing was done, I wrote to the company and explained all that had happened, I never got a reply or even an acknowledgement of the issue. I would never recommend them to anyone I know!!

International Moving experience.

I have been trying to communicate with Daryll Brown the general manager, since he took my belongings back in March 2014. He fails to return calls or to commit to dates, his movers told me that everything had to be tagged and marked, but Daryll did not mention that, so a TON of scrambling had to be done. It is August and I have yet to hear, the last time I tracked Daryll down he told me my belongings were beng moved to Vancouver, I have yet to hear and when I call I get the run-around. Terrible!

Do Not Use.

Do not use this company for your move.  The saleman was nice at first, helping out my wife to make the decision on how to move our items, giving a visual estimate on costs, etc.  The distance for the move was approximately 555 km.  The day before the move, July 31, 2015 the company called to advise her that the truck would be there between 8am and 9 am.  Gerry MacKenzie then sent an email to say to the truck would be there between 8:30am and 9:30am.  The truck finally showed up at 10:40am on August 1, 2015, loaded 90% with someone elses items, which were not in any way stacked vertically.  This left approximately 12 feet on the back of the truck in which to pack our items.

The two movers were forced to vertically stack out items, floor to ceiling.  The movers also did not do a complete inventory of the items that were loaded on the truck and chose to only inventory major items and none of the boxes that were loaded.

We were then informed that the load would not be arriving at our new home until August 5, 2015, 3 1/2 days later, which seems an excessive time frame to drive 555 km.

It is now 1:50 pm, August 5, 2015.  Despite numerous phone calls to the company dispatch, they have no idea when the load will be delivered as it was moved from the pick up truck, onto a different truck for delivery.  This was not stated in the original contract with the company.  They have also advised us that they are having to reweigh the truck as the load is now, apparently, 10% over the quoted weight for the load.

We have no idea, at this point, what condition our possessions will be in on arrival at our new home, or even if we will be getting everything that was loaded as, again, no inventory was taken of the smaller items.

If you can, avoid using this company at all costs and advise anyone that you know who is considering a move to do the same.

Long-distance move from Ontario to British Columbia

Terrible Service and No Followup.

I am too exhausted from a very stressful weekend with AMJ Campbell to write a detailed review..Suffice to say that the only good part of this move was our "unloader": Lloyd Bailey from Bailey and Bailey Movers (based in Calgary). The London AMJ Campbell personnel took no interest or responsibility for the problems created by their inefficiencies..I would never use them again!
