Was given these movers by America's Prime Movers. Was picked up on April 21st and still don't have my things. The movers went to Home Depot for 2 hours to get a tool to take my bed apart & get a box for the tv. They sent me to the ATM to get them $295 cash for add ons like tv box/mattress cover/packing dresser mirror. Left 2 hours after quoted departure time. I've been told by Jerry Whaley that my things haven't been delivered because "no one is leaving FL so the trucks don't want to come down" or "my FL truck was supposes to be back last week but he's not". Their customer service personnel has got to be the rudest individuals out there & all they tell me is "no updates on your delivery date" or they're "working on the schedule, call back tomorrow". Eli (the owner) told our brokers our stuff was loaded & in transit Friday 5/28...it is 6/7 & we've heard nothing from no one & when I call "customer support" they say it's still in their warehouse. Stay away at all costs!

On May 24, 2021, I spoke to Greg B. (Ext. 117). I asked him if American Long Distance Moving and Storage used their own trucks. He lied and said they used their own trucks. However, it was a broker firm. They outsourced my move. It was suppose to take place on 5/27/2021. However the driver did not show up from 5-8 as scheduled. I waited at my clinic from 4-9PM. The driver arrived the next morning. He could not begin competing the delivery until after the medical office saw all of their morning patients. The driver who found a random man from St. Louis to help him. As t hey were moving my items out, you could tell the experience was not there and it took longer than expected. With three fourths the move completed, his boss asked what was taking so long and to see the truck. The boss then asked to FaceTime with me and demanded additional money immediately. All the items were provided to Greg B. that were going to be moved and an estimate was provided. I was given an estimate for 68 boxes and I only had 25 boxes. I had 2 exam tables, waiting room chairs, 3 desk, file cabinets, etc. The movers came and midway through the move, the boss of the driver called, demanded more money, and I told him that I was quoted for 68 boxes and all the item mentioned earlier and that I do not have 68 boxes but 25. I told him I wasn't going to pay extra. He told his driver to move all of my items out of the truck and just leave them on the street. It was 9:30 when the driver unloaded my items onto the street. I had no way to move my items back up to the 2nd floor of my clinic. I left to go try and find someone with a truck to recover my items. I could not find anyone. When I came back at 6AM in the morning, all of my items were gone except a few things. The items had been rained on all night and were ruined. I called and spoke to

Bobby Sherman, Manager, of American Long Distance Moving and Storage, he said it was my fault, showed no sympathy, and refused to give me the insurance money to file a claim for my stolen and lost items.

They picked up my stuff on April 13th even after calling them everyday fir my stuff the staff was so rude. I did not get my stuff till June. My stuff was delivered by some random people who rented a truck and delivered. My boxes broken. When I had time to go through my boxes. Six boxes and storage full of my China dinner sets, my serving bowls and my silver anklets, bbracelets are all missing. I took me years and lot of money to collect antique vintage dinner sets. Wonder if they stole my stuff and sold it. Very very upset about this. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR THINGS.

My 81 year old Father-in-law still has not received his belongings that were picked up in Indiana on 4/29/21. These folks are very difficult to get in contact with. When he actually talked to someone named Brittany, all she can tell him is they are working on getting his stuff delivered. They are trying to charge him an extra $1000 for storage when he provided an Extra Space storage address in Georgia.

He’s been paying for an empty storage space in GA since late April.

Then Brittany called my father in law last week asking if he still wanted his belongings. What a condescending question? When she said he had to pay the remaining balance plus the $1000 storage fee, he asked her how can he trust that he’ll get his things since he’s had such a tough time with them, she said that she would send an email confirmation. My father in law said his lawyer would like to see it as well, so then Brittany hung up on him. I don’t know if the 5 star reviews are paid for. Or family and friends are posting positive reviews on this company’s behalf.

Do your due diligence and investigate before you select a mover. Read all the negative reviews. We wish we would have read the negative reviews on American Home Relocation. And also the broker needs to be held accountable as well. US Pro Moving and Logistics LLC is the broker that my father in law used. They have horrible reviews too. They have not been of any help to him. All they can say is they weren’t aware of American Home Relocation’s bad business practices. US Pro Moving shares the responsibility in this situation.

My belongings were picked up on May 17, 2021 from my home in Florida. Today is July 22, 2021 and I still do not have my belongings.

I have called both Gold Standard Moving and Storage and American Home Relocation, more times than I can count. They told me just today, that they are working on my move, it’s a hard location. Well excuse me, but the first questions I was asked is where I was currently, followed by where are you going. You knew you couldn’t get my belongings to me when you took the job! This company is sickening, I don’t know how they sleep at night with all the lies they tell. I have asked to be told where my belongings are such that I can pick them up and all they say is “it’s in our Florida warehouse”. I ask for the location so I can pick them up myself. They say do you want a release? I WANT MY THINGS!!! They have told me three times that they would send a release. I have not seen one yet! Then they say you still have to pay the balance. Excuse me but, the balance is for services rendered and you have not rendered any services! I could have stored my things in my Florida home. I didn’t ask for a storage. I paid for the delivery of my items. Eli told me 6 weeks ago when they asked for an additional $500 that the broker said I didn’t have to pay, that my things would go out with a load he had going to Washington. This has been so stressful. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Do not use brokers. Find a reputable moving company. They will charge more but it’s worth it to have a peace of mind. This company will quote you low and then add additional charges to your bill after you’re loaded. They pretty much hold your belongings hostage. I don’t know how they are still in business, oh I know because they change their name once they are found out. This company is operating under about 3 different accounts. BEWARE, it’s a scam!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $4000

April 30th, they showed up 5 hours after pickup window. Did not assist in loading the truck. Charged an extra $300 for going over estimated square footage but instead of placing it with the overall bill, the drivers took it as a tip. Didn't leave til after midnight and the driver, Aubrey was rude and disrespectful.

We were told to give them 14 days to process and prepare delivery. Our requested delivery date was May 26, 2021. We called after the two weeks and couldn't get through to the company. We had to contact the initial company who brokered my job, In-Motion Movers LLC out of West Palm Beach, FL. We didn’t receive an update from them for about 3 days. When we finally made contact with AHR, we were told we had a unpaid balance which increased by $1300 from the original price, which was $2500. The manager was given the phone and he was disrespectful and rude with no concern for the missing $300 payment or increase that was not communicated at pick up. May 25th, the updated balance to be placed on dispatch list was paid. I was told it would be on the next trip out to California. Possible drop off was June 24th, which is their legal 21 day before a daily discount is applied. I call daily and each time I’m told it's on the dispatch list but no delivery date has been determined.

I asked for a release form 3 times and it was never sent. They require me to pay the drop off balance of $1000 to release my items.

This whole process has been more than stressful and this business along with their staff have been a complete nightmare.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND EITHER COMPANY TO ANYONE! I also reported to the BBB where they have no accreditation and one star. No response.

If I ever receive my furniture, I'll post an update on if things are damaged or missing.

I was quoted $5384 which is in line with other quotes, definitely not the cheapest. On July 23rd, I had already left for Florida, they load up the truck in Indiana with a little more than half my stuff and then Eli calls me and says they have at least $9k on the truck and they’d have to come back for the rest cause I have WAY more than I stated on my estimate and it would cost over $13k to get the rest. I told him that’s not true because I walked room to room describing each and every item in detail and in fact sold even more items since the estimate occurred. Essentially I was moving a one bedroom house worth of stuff!! The stuff on the truck wasn’t even worth that much. I told them to not return and hired someone to get a moving truck and bring the rest of the stuff to me which was completed immediately.

The movers, after loading up all my stuff, said to my neighbors that this is what they do to every customer and that it’s a scam. They said they were quitting as soon as they got paid. They were completely inexperienced in moving and did significant damage to many walls in my home.

I requested a BOL/inventory list from AHR and finally after a week and half after pick up, they email it and it included items I don’t even own and things that were left in the home which had already had arrived on the 2nd truck I hired.

It’s now August 21st, 29 days after pick up, and Eli hasn’t returned any calls or called me, since that first night 29 days ago. I’ve called so many times getting voicemail. I finally reached a Tara last week who claimed she’d talked to me MANY MANY times. I’m like HUH?? I’ve never spoken to anyone there except Eli the first night. I told her I was told 5-7 days, my contract says 5-14, and it’s been well over that. She then tells me there’s nothing she can do and to call Eli tomorrow. I do and they slam me on hold to never return. Not sure what they plan to do with a couple pieces of mediocre furniture and bunch of women’s clothing. They’d be better off delivering my stuff and giving me a partial bill.
