Worst company I have ever done business with!

I wish I could say I was giving this company a 1 star review solely because my items are still MIA almost 2 weeks later, without any update on when I should expect the delivery.
But instead, my biggest disappointment with American Eagle Moving has been their terrible, miserable, lying, and deceiving customer service. Do not be fooled by the overly eager sales reps that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside right before their company completely screws you over. Just be aware that the moment you hand over that 35% deposit and the movers pick up your belongings those friendly sales reps will disappear FOREVER. When trying to coordinate my re-delivery I had sent at least 10 email to Justin, Andy. and Jenny without a single reply. After sending my last email titled "URGENT" and still not receiving any response back I was forced to call the incompetent Customer Service 800 number. Each member I have spoken to in Customer service have all claimed to be a manager and have neglected to show one ounce of empathy or understanding towards my situation. Instead, they have been extremely rude and have talked down to me at every opportunity possible and for some reason are incapable of following up on their "I will call you back this afternoon" promises.
For the past two weeks I have been told by multiple customer service reps my delivery will not take any longer than 14 business days. Earlier this week a rep informed us that a driver has been lined up and we should expect to receive our items this weekend. When following up on this information we are now told that none of that was true and no driver is set up and conveniently enough, now that the 14 day mark is coming up the delivery window has now magically increased to 21 business days. I think any sane person would understand my frustrations at this point. But not American Eagles very own customer service manager, Sasha. Not only was Sasha the opposite of caring and empathy but she actually had the audacity to yell at me. Yelling at your customers..enough said. And lets not forget I was told by my sales rep, Justin, that my items would be stored in Denver (my delivery destination). Were my items stored in Denver like I was told? You guessed it..nope. Instead everything was stored in California without my knowledge. And that low quote of $2,800? Try again. Once my items were picked up by the movers that number sky rocked to $5,400. You have been warned.

I would not recommend this company for your move. My belongings were picked up on 5/01/18 and delivered 6/17/2018. That is 45 actual days and 32 per their standard of not counting week ends and holidays.
Tues 05/01/2018 Truck arrived at 3:00 and was loaded by 5:45. Listed 5/03 as earliest delivery date
Load going to warehouse in Chicago until loaded for delivery

Mon 5/7/2018 No word on delivery talked to Zack and he said he would check with dispatch and get back to me

Wed 5/9/2018 Zack said I was schecduled on load to Ga, SC and NC but did not have a date.He would keep in touch

Fri 5/11/2018 Zack now told me I was on load to NC &Florida and would be delivered Sat 5/12 or Sunday 5/13 (Mothers Day)

Sat 5/12/2018 Not on load he told me on Friday. He would check with dispatch and call me Monday.

Thur 5/24/18 Still no call from Robert. Talked to Sasha who went and talked to Robert in dispatch. Was told I was scheduled on a load with 4 others and Robert would call me in the afternoon. called back in at 3:30- Derrick told me I am still in the system as being called today.

Friday 5/25/2018 Spoke with Derrick. Robert out of the office due to problem with driver. Robert would call me when he comes back in.

Sat 5/26/2018 Spoke with Matthew. was going to talk to the owner to get this cleared up and would call me back. No call back

Tue 5/29/2018 Sat on hold. Left messages at all numbers that I have. Called Chad explained what was going on. He told me to hold and he would talk to Robert. After 20 minutes on hold I

Called 571-223-6123 which was sales. Was told it was not his job to help with my delivery

Wed 5/30/18 Talked to Robert. Apologized for the run around I have been getting and asked if I would be available all next week for delivery. I told him yes any day. Said would be working
on scheduling and would call me on Friday

Friday 6/01/2018 Talked to Aaron Ext 9031. Still listed for call today by Robert. At 4:30 I called back and after 1/2 hour hung up

Sat 6/02/2018 Called and reached Steve in Reservations. As I was explaining the situation we got cut off. He said tomorrow is the deadline for delivery.

Mon 6/4/2018 11am- talked to Sasha who told me no update in system. Was going to check with Robert in dispatch and call me back within 45 min.
12:20 left her a message as there was no call back
1:15pm Called and talked to Kate. She said she did not know where my stuff was. When I asked what she meant she said it could be on route or in the warehouse. I told her if it was on " route it should show in the data base that it was on the way. She then said that it shows I am up for delivery but no date shows up. That was why Sasha didn't call me back. Told her that when they tell someone they are going to call they should call either way instead of not calling at all .She said that she would get me an update and and call me back within 2 hours.
4:25pm Called back and got Kate. Still not info said she was going to call me at 5.

Tue 6/5/2018 9:39 Called and got Kate again. No update. Told her to go see Robert in dispatch like Derrick had done a few times. She told me she didn't know who Robert was. Told her he is in dispatch and should show up on her directory of employees. Told me he did not. I told her I was sick of the run around I have been getting and wanted a manager. She said she was alone in Cust Serv at this time. Told her I was sick of all the lies I have been getting. She told me she would call me back with an update when she got one. Told her she was a liar.

9:45 am Robert in dispatch called me. Said he could see Kate from where he was sitting and was upset that she said that. Truck I was scheduled on when came back in with an oil leak and was out for repair and should have an update on Friday. Told him I was sick of the [EDIT] and lies.
Told me he would call me Friday if he has an update. Asked that he call me either way as I would rather hear he has no update than nothing at all. He told me others who were on the load I was scheduled on are waiting also though I have waited the longest. He said that I am his priority.
Told him to tell Kate that me calling her a liar was very accurate.

My stuff is in Elmhurst Il in temperature controlled new warehouse. No dust and very clean. Owner bought it a year ago. Was told owners name is Kevin Parrish. (2nd name I have been given)

Friday 6/08/18 No call from Robert.
12:40 talked to Sasha said she would have Robert call me . Slated for delivery but no driver has been assigned.

Saturday 6/9/19 10:55 am Kate. The truck has been repaired and is waiting to be inspected. Asked to talk to Robert. She said he was out of the office.

Monday 6/11/2018 10:00 am Robert not in. Talked to Kate. Last note in file is waiting for inspection on the truck due to deliver my stuff. She said she will call me by 3pm either way whether she has an update or not.
No call. 3:30 sat on hold for 25 min and hung up.

Then said again I should call tomorrow. I sent Roberts some texts to call me
12:15 Robert called to let me know they are on route with 2 loads in VA and then me. Driver will call me 24-48 hours before delivery.
4:50pm Driver , Isaac, called. ETA is Sunday between 3pm and 8pm. Will call about an hour before.

Sun 6/17/18 Fathers Day. My family was here to celebrate and wait for movers! They called at 7:15pm and got here right at 8:00pm. When done unloading and unpacking the the 2 boxes they packed Isaac said "Well that is it". I had to ask him to reassemble my tv, lawn mower and patio table the movers who packed me up had taken apart. I did realize until after they left that they had put the lawn mower handle on backwards. They crammed my trash can with plastic and tape instead of taking it with them. I could not put my trash from inside to be picked up. A few items were broken in boxes marked Fragile.

No Gimmicks Real Movers.

Im an everyday person. I work hard for a living and provide for my family. I recently accepted a position within my company and had to move my family over 500 miles away. It was impossible to have done this move on my own so renting a truck and doing the labor was simply out of the question. I put in a request to receive quotes from various movers in my area. I took about 7 calls and researched every company I spoke to. I narrowed it down to 3 companies and I felt American Eagle had earned my business. At no point did I feel like I was being swindle or sweet talked to get a deposit. I made my deposit when I felt I was ready and nobody there was pushy and my moving associated respected my time. On move day the movers arrived and handled each piece carefully. I purchased insurance as well as paying extra for my boxes to be packed. I did not have the time nor the energy to pack up a 4 bedroom house with kids clothes and toys on top of all my important pieces out of my office. The movers packed and unpacked everything I did not lift a finger. Nothing was damaged and I was not charged any additional fees. American Eagle is honest and legitimate. I have since then passed along their information within my company to my Human Resource coordinator I was so impressed with how they handled the relocation. The are professional and have been operating like this for many years and I would happily consider them in the future.

Best Price Actual Movers.

The first thing I was told to look for when selecting a mover was to make sure they were the actual moving company and not going to broker my move out to an unknown third party and American Eagle was exactly what I was looking for. All of thier licenses are up to date and have a record that speaks for itself. I got prices from a group of companies and American was the best price I recorded. More importantly then the price was the quality of the move starting with the itemized list I put together with my agent. The list had to be exact so when the moving men showed up I would not be forced into last minute charges or any negative consequence. The service I got with this company was nothing short of exceptional. I did my homework when making this choice and it paid off. My personal property is important to me and I wanted to make sure the company I selected would treat it accordingly. I did not want to hire a moving company and be left out to dry when they did not show or try to take advantage of me in a desperate time. There was no surprise charges no funny business and no stress. I am very impressed with the professionalism this company keeps. I did not have to wait for updates they were given to me at all stages of the move and the delivery was on time as well. It was a experience I hope others may have when they decide to relocate. They are worth your time. Thank you guys.

Moving company.

Zero stars should be the rating. People DO NOT use these scam artist to move. After sending pictures of every single box and every single piece they raised the price over double. They also will bring a smaller truck to pick up and tell you the cubic feet is the same, that is a lie. They lost all the screws and bolts to put together furniture and now of course claims do not answer the phone or return your call. The attorney general for every state should discredit and abolish this company.

How the job was handled.

If I could give this company a 0 star I would!! We moved from Washington to South Dakota. Be warned they tell you they do not give any job to another company. They did just that and did not give us a heads up. They quoted the $2,030 price and the other company did not stick to that they wanted $3,300. I ended up paying the second price. We moved from a 700sf apt. We moved on April 23rd it is May 31st and we still do not have our stuff. I finally got the number to the company that has our stuff. It hasn't left Seattle Washington. We are going into June before Our stuff gets here. it might be here on the 5th. this is because American Eagle did not give them our new number and the company that they parted it out to did not keep the new number on their records and continued to try to get ahold of us through a old land line number. That was disconnected a few days before the movers were to arrive. I gave my cell number which is our current number to American Eagle before the land line was cut off and they used it but the Driver of the moving van didn't have access to it. So they finally show up (a day late) the day we were leaving and picked up our stuff notifying us that it would cost $3,300.00 not $2030.00. We were on a time table. I now had 2 and 1/2 days to get us to South Dakota and I was the only Driver. I managed it with one very late night and no dinner for two diabetics. if I had continued to deal solely with American eagle we would be even longer. Also of six phone calls I made to them that they said they would return our calls only 2 were returned. We were even told on Tuesday the 22 of May that our stuff would be here in 5 days even taking the weekend and memorial day into account our stuff will not be here within that time period for it has passed. The aggravation and problems have stressed both of us out. We are looking at week number 6 without our stuff. If you value your time and looking for a great deal do not go with this company.

Extremely poor moving company.

Do not do business with this company. They absolutely do not care about their customers. Our belongings were picked up on July 24, 2018 from Virginia. Little did we know we would not see our belongings until August 1, 2018 in central IL. We found out later from the movers that the company took our belongings to New Jersey where it sat in storage all that time. Our many calls to AE were either ignored or we were lied to about what was going on. Our contract stated we would receive our belongings in two weeks after our big move. Instead, it was 5 weeks! This company was not honest and kept us in the dark. They were not transparent about anything.
In addition, en route from New Jersey to IL the truck was in a big rainstorm. Our belongings arrived drenched. We had wood furniture ruined from water marks, a new queen mattress destroyed, my precious Christmas ornaments and decorations ruined and many more things. The truck driver was aware of the leak and told us that when he reported it to the company, they duct taped it to fix it!! Despite filing a claim and making sure it was received we have still not received reimbursement. Once again, we were promised someone would look into our claim (this was an email from Sasha) but then all communication stopped. I have called and emailed repeatedly to no avail.
We wish the BBB would follow up on the numerous complaints about the dishonest company and do something about it.

Nightmare.

The moving company is American Eagle Moving LLC 1602 Belle View Blvd #3032 Alexandria Va 22307 Phone is
1-844-239-8463. We sent the moving company a list of everything we had and overestimated to make sure we would
know the worst case amount it would cost for the move. We have copies of several emails from the Moving company
verifying this information. After receiving 4 different quotes the 1st stated 12-7-2017, 2nd 12-9-2017, 3rd 01-02-2018,
and final 01-03-2018 with a quote of $6170.25. I have sent a copy of each in the file upload. Upon arrival, the company
showed up in a small box truck. The driver surveyed our 2 bedroom apartment and said he did not have the room and
said it would cost more. After several phone calls, we were assured that the issue would be worked out. So I paid the
extra deposit and did sign the new contract. We had to be out of the apartment that day so staying was not an option. We
already had everything packed but was told it was not good enough. They left all the items in the boxes we packed them
in and just put tape around everything. The movers got everything packed into the truck they said it would not fit in and
then explained it would be put in a warehouse until other customers that were on our way needed to be moved. We
specifically asked them beforehand if they were a broker company and they told us no. I have the email with the
conversation and them telling us they are a moving company. We were told that we should expect our things by the 1st of
Feb. this did not happen. It is noted in the quote that it could be 14 days but pick up was on Jan. 29th 2018 and we did not
get our belonging until 02/22/2018 will over the 14 days. So they tried to tell us that Texas is considered the west coast
and they have 21 days to deliver. Even with that, it was still over the 21 days. Between the time we waited for our
belongs we went back and forth with the agent we booked with, management and other but they would not budge on the
price. We even showed them that the number of square ft they said our thing took up was not possible. I have sent a copy
of the moving boxes used and the moving calculator we used to figure our sq ft. They said we would have to pay the
amount to get our thing back so of course, we agreed. We finally had our things delivered as I stated above on 2-22-2018.
Upon arrival, the driver opened the trailer and it was discovered that 25 percent of our things had been rained on. While
unloading our items it was noticed several things that had damage, had been broken or missing. We have pictures
showing the damage that I can send if you would like them. We had boxes missing and other things which we have on
the Bill of Landing that myself and the driver noted. After receiving our items we have made several attempts to resolve
this situation with American Eagle Moving LLC. 1st we were told to file a claim form which we did it states we should
receive a letter within 14 days that the claim was filed, which we did not. We did attach along with the claim form
receipts for items damaged, broken or missing along with pictures. Then they told us it would 120 days which the claim
form clearly has 14 days on it I have put that in the file upload as well. For the 120 days, we did try to contact the
company numerous times to try and resolve our situation, but they would not return emails or calls. After the 120 days,
we got an attorney and gave her all our information. After looking over all of our documentation she then sent them a
demand letter to which she never received a reply,.

Can I give a -5 star rating?

Worst morning experience of my life. They arrived 2 days late for pick-up. Delivered 34 days later than promised. Had a vehicular accident in which the top of the moving van was ripped off going under a low overpass. The driver abandoned the truck which was towed to impound where it sat (open topped) for 10 days with heavy rain and high temperatures. Over 50% of our household good were ruined beyond repair. They discarded over $10,000 of our possessions in a dumpster because of water damage then took the remaining items, threw them onto another truck and finally delivered them WITHOUT TELLING US ABOUT THE ACCIDENT!! And charged us an additional $2,500 upon delivery!!
Have filed claims for reimbursement for loss 2 times and they do not respond. Not one single penny in compensation, not even the $0.60 per pound guaranteed in the contract.
AMERICAN EAGLE MOVING SUCKS!!
Do yourself a favor, have absolutely any other moving company do your move..ANY OTHER COMPANY WOULD BE BETTER!!
