American Eagle Moving Company

All in all, American Eagle Moving Company failed to provide moving services and are claiming regardless of a defaulted contract they are entitled to my initial 35% deposit of $1028. 65. My contract was originally created 1/20/18 with a pick up date as 3/30/18- 3/31/18. A series of unfortunate events occured starting with my initial check deposit being processed by this company twice, on 1/30 and 2/1, totaling $2057.30. I originally began to dispute this extra $1028.65 withdrawal with my bank, Exceed Financial, who suggested I reach out to the movers first. After following up with American Eagle Moving, they acknowledge this "mistake" and offered to credit my account or mail me a check. I wanted my $1028.65 returned back to me via check as soon as possible. Fast forward several weeks and too many phone calls to count- I am assured by Sasha (x618) on 3/15/18 my check will be "cut" as at this point I have recieved after no check and am told consistently they are working on it. 3/26 per Derek (x9032) my check is still not sent and I tell him he must credit my account as I will not be paying anymore the upcoming weekend. After myself and my mother reaching out the week of 3/26 my move date continues to get pushed back due to the truck leaking oil/ being in the shop. My move date is confirmed for 4/1/18 via email on 3/31/18 from Robert (x9030) from dispatch and to expect phone call from driver later in the afternoon. No calls from driver or further contact from company Saturday, Sunday or Monday even after several phone, text and email attempts. I am now being told although no movers showed up or that nobody even bothered to call me until I reached out again on 4/5/18 my initial deposit is nonrefundable, stealing $1028.65 right out from under me with no explanation. They do not care they DEFAULTED on their own contract and placed me in a bind to find new movers and storage last minute. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong for me in placing my trust in American Eagle moving and it is now being taken up with my attorney, the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General, etc. I cannot warn others enough to stay far away from this "company" who con you into believing they are a non- brokerage moving company (another lie). Do your thorough research and find real reviews- not fake ones made day after day by company employees. Absolute nightmare and it is still not over yet.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Please stay away from it if you want to have your stuff delivered on time. Let me start here. We liked the quote we got and this is why we went with American Eagle. 5 days before the move, they called us and asked to have the movers come 3 days earlier, as their truck broke down, but they said they would have the one that is coming through Denver and we would get our stuff in Nashville in just 3-5 business days. So, of course, we agreed even though we had to make some changes to our new lease. They also promised that our original price would not change since we are accommodating them . But guess what? Once the movers came, they said it would be an additional $1000, as we have a lot of stuff. Well, we were only 3 boxes over the original estimate done by Chris - the sales guy. Anyways, at that point, we were, figuratively speaking, "held hostage", as we were supposed to leave the apartment in just a few days. So we agreed to pay extra, the movers packed our stuff and we headed to Nashville with only a few things, as we were originally told it would be only a few days. Today (and it has already been 12 days) we still don't have our stuff. Every time we call them, they say they are working on finding a truck to deliver our things that still sit in Denver, but nobody knows when it might be: a week or 2 weeks or maybe a month from now. Yesterday, we finally got to speak to the manager and he was just nasty. This is the first time anyone spoke to me this way in the U.S. (and I have been here for already 7 years). He somehow made it our fault that our stuff is not in Nashville and that we chose them. Wow..and then he just hung up on us! Folks, stay away from them if you don't want to have a nervous breakdown. P.S. Once we get our stuff, I wonder if we find everything in the same condition it was picked up..

Let me start off by saying this is the first time I have ever used a moving company. I chose to use this company because the price was reasonable and they seemed to have a good reputation. When the movers showed up on move day they wrapped my furniture and loaded the truck quickly and professionally. I watched them load the truck and they explained everything to me as it was happening. When they got to my new place in Florida everything was put back together for me and I was relieved to see that my furniture looked exactly as it did when it left. I could not ask for a better move. Thank you to all the staff at American Eagle Moving for your help! I will recommend these guys to anyone I know that is looking for a mover. Very professional and affordable.

I chose this company because they gave me a quote base on the weight of my shipment. Now they came to pick up my items and charged me for cubic feet and packing material when everything was already packed. They packed a glass and a box that I had left and they charged me and told me that I needed to pay them now $ 512 more than they estimated for packing materials. I do not recommend this company to anybody. Many of us chose a company because what they promise to charge. They will charge you more and they will not answer the phone when you call to get resolution of your concerns. DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE.

American Eagle got me through my first long distance move. Without them, I don't know what I would do!

I normally rely on family to help settle in new homes, but moving from Michigan to Maine meant calling in backup. The staff was kind, considerate, and quick to respond to any of my questions. I was worried that my valuables would be damaged in the move, but American Eagle made sure that my possessions were packed safely and securely.

I am beyond appreciative for the people at American Eagle. They made a terrifying experience much more manageable. I look forward to future experiences with the company! 10/10 would recommend!

It has been 22 days and I do not have any idea where my furniture is. I have called the company several times and each time the customer service person has said that they would get back to me but 22 days later not a word. American Eagle said it would take about two weeks.

I received a written quote from American Eagle that the move would cost $10,000. After they loaded my furniture onto the truck, the price jumped to $25,000. What do you do after they are holding all your furniture hostage. I simply don’t have $25,000.

So keep in mind if you decide to have theses guys move your furniture you will get absolutely no cooperation from them and the written official quote they give you is a lie.
